Ordered the iced mocha half sweet and it was really good! Nice cafe spot on Clement near Arsicault bakery, there is seating indoors and outdoors. I would definitely come back for their to get their coffee drinks!

Such a cute place, very packed. Wine stacked up everywhere beautifully! Definitely coming back here for some wine. I got the avocado toast and we got our baby a hot chocolate and my partner got one too. The hot chocolate was good, tasted like classic hot choco. The avocado toast was delicious. I loved it, not too much balsamic and very well balanced. The avocado was perfectly seasoned and the bread they used on it was very very good. Excited to stop by again someday.

Wednesday, 10:00 am: Glad I returned. Here to try the Avocado Toast. Unlike my first visit, the levain toast existed & be-still my heart, the bread was actually toasted! First layer generous avocado mash on super large slice, followed be a medley of greens, cucumber and radish. I asked for the fried egg to be prepared medium well. It appeared cooked to my high maintenance wishes. Added side of bacon, perfectly prepared, just right amount of chewy goodness. To my surprise, there was an abundance of seating in the back room. About 8 stools with back support. The side cafe tables were much higher than the stools making for an ergonomic fail. Clearly these tables were meant for European coffee drinkers who don't sit down or linger. Whatever, I was happy to enjoy my breakfast with the NY Times at leisure. Props to the woman on laptop who actually left when she finished her food. The guy behind me asked if he was talking too loud! I have found my happy place. No regrets.

A buddy was dogsitting nearby and we wanted to catch up. But where to with Echo the dog? And, no, we were not going to pull the fake service animal bit. Breck's was the perfect place. It was comfortable and cozy. A little malbec for her, a petit sirah for me, and a beautiful charcuterie board made by Orlando between the two of us (although the meats and olives were all mine). Even the other guests were delightful (Echo totally fell for Jerry). We enjoyed it all so much, we popped in a few nights later for a quick visit. This time we both had the delicious petit syrah and a smaller charcuterie board. And we are now hooked on the Prairie Breeze cheese that was on both boards.

Coffee was good. Got a latte with Carmel syrup about $7 with $1 for syrup. Service was nice and not too crazy busy. They don't write anything on their cups so def need to listen to your name and drink being called otherwise all the cups look the same Not sure why they don't write on the plain white cup. We ordered three drinks so was a little confusing with other people cups also in the same place. Would recommend. And sundays there was a farmers market right next to the shop.

I stopped by Breck's after grabbing some croissants nextdoor. I came across this spot by accident but was pleasantly surprised at how yummy our drinks were! We ordered a iced oat milk vanilla latte and an iced oat milk vanilla matcha and they were flawless! They were both super refreshing and tasteful. Seating was extremely limited as we visited during the farmers market so it was very busy. They do have plenty of outdoor seating and indoor as well (just went on a busy day). They have a great menu with food to try as well. The line and waiting customers were taking up most of the shop, so it was definitely a take-out vibe that day. The staff, even with the pressure of capacity, were very friendly and efficient.

I found this place going to the farmers market and bakery nearby to get coffee. Good coffee menu, service and a nice place to sit down and have a drink or meal. They have a large wine shop too.w

Ordered a hot chocolate that took a surprisingly long time to get after I placed the order. Looked like there was one lady making the drink orders. It was $5 for a medium size looking cup. I didn't see other size options. The hot chocolate was okay. It was foamy and warm, but not hot. Not too sweet, but there wasn't much inside. The shop has a lot of outdoor seating and some seating along the window inside. Prices are moderate to high depending on what you want to order. Customer service was okay.

Can't believe we haven't tried this place until now! We pass by it all the time in the neighborhood and we got the: Ham Panini: Black forest ham, fontina cheese, caramelized balsamic Red onions, honey Dijon mustard aioli, on a toasted Ciabatta rosemary bread & homemade pickles for $12 BRECKfast Sandwich: Panorama Croissant filled with smoked apple bacon, scrambled eggs for $9

Brecks is located right next door to a pretty popular bakery and features outside patio tables as well as inside seating the coffee is very smooth and they offer an assortment of wines and chilled beverages as well the bagel with cream cheese was perfectly toasted would definitely be back! new favorite spot

Iced Chai and Cubano (Cuban Sandwich)
    Katherine Z.

The food was very decent! I ordered a Cubano and was delighted by the crispy bread and house sauce. Fun fact, cuban sandwiches have varying meat selections and pickles depending on the region of Cuba they originate from. The Cubano came with pickles on the side. These pickles are homemade and very lightweight. I didn't enjoy them as much because I felt like they needed to be pickled for longer or have a more complex and robust flavor. The staff was very helpful. I walked in thinking this was Arsicault and asked for kouign-amann, and they directed me next door. I ordered a chai here, and can confirm they use a premix beverage and add milk to it. It was the right mixture of sweet and spicy, but the spice was a little on the stronger side. The outdoor seating is beautiful on a sunny day, and very dog friendly.

The pizza almost tasted stale - someone mentioned it is supposed to be like that but I've had pinsa a few times and that was not my experience. The pasta was pretty good - a red sauce. Nothing special. Meatballs also solid. Somehow my pasta came up 12-15 mins after everything else's food which was entirely confusing but oh well. The wine was good. Overall a cute little wine bar in CV, would def come back but nothing to write home about.

I was not a " stranger who walked from Haight street to your premises. Make no mistake about it. The scope of trust and honesty is more valuable and important than the scope of ice cream . At the request of my daughter and my grandmother we went to the ice cream bar this last Wednesday, taking to account we have been customers for the past 10 years on and off , we would drive from Marin just to have the ice cream there . We have seen employees come and go including Managers. Since my kids went to Grattan school. At times I personally like to pay for things in cash . We know most customers about 67% would pay by credit cards. To make a long story short. I wanted to pay my bill in $100 bill . Brand new , undamaged and straight from Wells Fargo bank. Negative thoughts would generate actions , negative actions would generate negative prejudice. What were the odds of having a family and customer using malice in bad faith? I presented the legal tender of $100 bill to The server, he took the money and checked 4 times looking at the number at the front, he used his left hand using his fingernails to scratch the bill in a strange way, like if it was a lottery ticket or a gift card , we know that large bills should be checked. then stated that he cannot accept the bill and that he had no change. Immediately, objected to his statement. I told him I quote: " You didn't even open the cash register , how would you know if you have change or not " ? He responded sarcastically, I have been handling the money all day . I responded by saying: then you should know if you can make change or not . Furthermore, I stated to him that is not how you would check for a valid $100 bill . A special counterfeiting pen is ideal to check bills. I showed him the way to be checked by holding the bill upright and matching the serial numbers to the bill. He made no good faith effort to get help from his manager , to call someone or confer with a third party responsible. This has created an inconvenience for my family. Luckily, I brought a backup card and payed by discover card to diffuse the situation . I wonder how many $100 bills were passed by me for the last 10 years? I even suggested he should call the police if he was so sure that it was a counterfeit bill. It was certainly a legal tender of a good faith/ money and finance . Section U.S.C 31 5103. The Constitution says otherwise. The ice cream bar failed to warn . If it was a policy not to accept a $100 bill , it should have been known by a clear and convincing fact by posting a statement that " No large bills / $100 bills are accepted " in a clear view of customers to be seen. I have tried to communicate with the company's MANAGER by calling her 3 times . She did not bother to answer my request to address my concerns , " my phone calls were screened " and refused to take my phone calls or respond. See how easy to lose a customer. I will not recommend this place nor go black to this ice cream place.
