It's the end of April it's time to dump all the stuff from Spring cleaning at home and elsewhere . In social media terms it's time to dump all those pictures and videos so we view them on a social media feed recapping your best moments in April. There is a place to hangout and catch up about April in May during the daytime and grab something sweet or bitter to drink over a yap session about getting dumped or dumping someone by the end of April (because you did not do it in March after St. Patrick's Day)and making plans for the month of May. This place is next to the world famous original Arsicault bakery and across from the newly opened Rose Pizzeria in SF. It's called Brecks and it's on Clement street. On a Spring stroll I landed at Brecks. Inside you will find a cafe which serves coffee and has lots of bottles wine and different types of alcohol along with kitchen serving food. They serve anything from a Open face Mexican Tuna melt to avocado toast and La Tarte Quiche. They also offer drinks like espresso and Chagaccino also known as the mushroom coffee. I wanted to try their Ice Matcha Latte so Don Juan de la Matcha ordered it. It was not too sweet and it had a good taste but not much matcha as I expected. Next time I will get the pink Rosé wine and the Red Pinot Noir. Come out to Brecks any of the four seasons during the rain, sun , and even when Karl the Fog shows up. Go on a Spring stroll in San Francisco to "Brecks" about doing some April dumping and some is about trash and some deal with some "photo decks"talk about the many different videos you have to do a montage social media "flex"and talk and recap about April and what will happen "next" In May for the next social media monthly dump you may try going to a restaurant in SF which is Michelin guide "accredited "and brainstorm about a storyboard and how you have raw video footage and have to "edit it" and then you will have to tag it and use keywords hashtags to "credit it " then you can share to the different digital platforms and you can social media "embedded it " read more

Breck's is a wonderful place to pause and grab a drink. By offering a range of coffee drinks and alcohol, there's something for everyone. My usual ritual is to swing by Breck's on Sunday morning's to grab my coffee before perusing the Inner Richmond farmer's market on Clement. The almond milk latte I enjoyed arrived piping hot and perfectly prepared. Although quite busy, the staff was efficient and pleasant. This is definitely that place that feels very neighborhood. Where are you? Wanna get up and walk to this lovely corner Café, order food and just sit and enjoy either the beautiful weather outside, or the coziness of sitting inside. Yes, service is slow because everything is made to order. This is not the hurry up place. This is the enjoy all of the moments place and so we did. Since my all-time favorite San Francisco Bakery is next-door, it made sense for us to grab a couple of cups of hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is perfection in a huge mug. It's delicious, rich and creamy, and made to the perfect temperature. Breck's offers breakfast treats, they also have an extensive wine cellar and menu. Such a cute place, very packed. Wine stacked up everywhere beautifully! Definitely coming back here for some wine. I got the avocado toast and we got our baby a hot chocolate and my partner got one too. The hot chocolate was good, tasted like classic hot choco. The avocado toast was delicious. I loved it, not too much balsamic and very well balanced. The avocado was perfectly seasoned and the bread they used on it was very very good. Excited to stop by again someday. read more

Wednesday, 10:00 am: Glad I returned. Here to try the Avocado Toast. Unlike my first visit, the levain toast existed & be-still my heart, the bread was actually toasted! First layer generous avocado mash on super large slice, followed be a medley of greens, cucumber and radish. I asked for the fried egg to be prepared medium well. It appeared cooked to my high maintenance wishes. Added side of bacon, perfectly prepared, just right amount of chewy goodness. To my surprise, there was an abundance of seating in the back room. About 8 stools with back support. The side cafe tables were much higher than the stools making for an ergonomic fail. Clearly these tables were meant for European coffee drinkers who don't sit down or linger. Whatever, I was happy to enjoy my breakfast with the NY Times at leisure. Props to the woman on laptop who actually left when she finished her food. The guy behind me asked if he was talking too loud! I have found my happy place. No regrets. read more

A buddy was dogsitting nearby and we wanted to catch up. But where to with Echo the dog? And, no, we were not going to pull the fake service animal bit. Breck's was the perfect place. It was comfortable and cozy. A little malbec for her, a petit sirah for me, and a beautiful charcuterie board made by Orlando between the two of us (although the meats and olives were all mine). Even the other guests were delightful (Echo totally fell for Jerry). We enjoyed it all so much, we popped in a few nights later for a quick visit. This time we both had the delicious petit syrah and a smaller charcuterie board. And we are now hooked on the Prairie Breeze cheese that was on both boards. read more

Coffee was good. Got a latte with Carmel syrup about $7 with $1 for syrup. Service was nice and not too crazy busy. They don't write anything on their cups so def need to listen to your name and drink being called otherwise all the cups look the same Not sure why they don't write on the plain white cup. We ordered three drinks so was a little confusing with other people cups also in the same place. Would recommend. And sundays there was a farmers market right next to the shop. read more

I stopped by Breck's after grabbing some croissants nextdoor. I came across this spot by accident but was pleasantly surprised at how yummy our drinks were! We ordered a iced oat milk vanilla latte and an iced oat milk vanilla matcha and they were flawless! They were both super refreshing and tasteful. Seating was extremely limited as we visited during the farmers market so it was very busy. They do have plenty of outdoor seating and indoor as well (just went on a busy day). They have a great menu with food to try as well. The line and waiting customers were taking up most of the shop, so it was definitely a take-out vibe that day. A really good indoor space for working from home! Having done so, a couple of times can really vouch for the great WiFi and the quality of the indoor desks (about 10-12 spots). To add to that, they have a great coffee menu which is most times served with great latte arts! Not to mention their breakfast menu which has a decent portion size and the Avocado toast in particular tastes amazing! People are also very friendly and welcoming. I really had a great experience whenever I pop by this place and all the more reason to do it, as its right next to the famous Arsicault bakery!! read more

I didn't see other size options. The hot chocolate was okay. It was foamy and warm, but not hot. Not too sweet, but there wasn't much inside. This place has been a large part of the SF cycling scene for a while. It's really the only coffee shop on the main route in and out of the city (arguello) for cyclists. The coffee is ok, mainly it's better than Arsicault (their neighbor). Recently they have decided to go to war with bike parking. They have always been somewhat unfriendly to general patrons. But now they are being actively rude for no general reason. You can explain your position and provide reasonable alternatives to parking and outdoor seating without being a jerk. Love Breck's, an excellent, popular cafe and wine shop in my neighborhood. I've been coming here regularly for brunch or lunch to enjoy their delicious quiches, sandwiches and chai tea latte -- the best I've ever had. The friendly, efficient staff also make this a great go-to place. Have bought a few of their outstanding bottles of champagne as gifts for friends who raved about them. Ordered an iced latte, counter staff was kind and attentive. They have good seating space and people seem to enjoy it (I've never seen it empty). However, the latte was very very watery and not very strong. I did place my order in the afternoon so that may have something to do with the quality, regardless I will not be back to check if that is so. read more

The food was very decent! I ordered a Cubano and was delighted by the crispy bread and house sauce. Fun fact, cuban sandwiches have varying meat selections and pickles depending on the region of Cuba they originate from. The Cubano came with pickles on the side. These pickles are homemade and very lightweight. I didn't enjoy them as much because I felt like they needed to be pickled for longer or have a more complex and robust flavor. The staff was very helpful. I walked in thinking this was Arsicault and asked for kouign-amann, and they directed me next door. I ordered a chai here, and can confirm they use a premix beverage and add milk to it. It was the right mixture of sweet and spicy, but the spice was a little on the stronger side. Breck's is located right next to Arsicault Bakery. My mom and I ordered a mocha latte, chai tea latte, and lox bagel. We decided to visit Breck's after ordering some pastries at Arsicault Bakery. My mom said the mocha latte was good. I had the chai tea latte. I wish it had more of the chai flavor, but overall it was good. It had a more milky taste to it. The lox bagel came promptly. It was toasted, had lots of cream cheese, and fresh lox. I wish it came with some capers, but we still enjoyed it. There isn't many tables inside Breck's. Chic wine & coffee spot! Breck's caught our eye as we were otw to Arsicault This is half a cafe, half a wine market. Can only imagine how lively it gets in the evenings. We popped in on a Friday afternoon and experienced no wait. Staff are kind and attentive. CHAGACCINO: Very prominent earthy flavor, kind of medicinal and vegetal aftertaste. Still silky tho. Not bad if you're used to it. Comparable energy boost to a regular cappuccino. While we waited for our order, we found ourselves browsing through their impressive wine selection. This place is cute. It has about 10 indoor tables and 10 outdoor tables which are great to work at. Unfortunately that's where the desire ends. I've never had the food or wine but the coffee is mediocre, and the service has been consistently cold the multiple times I've been. The workers don't acknowledge you at all or even smile. Breck's has the best avocado toast I've ever had, and they offer a gluten free bread option. Get it with salmon or an egg on top for the full experience. I enjoy the baristas and the owner, who is often around. It's a beautiful space, though often crowded (it's popular!) and noisy. Sometimes if you sit in the back, near the kitchen, you're treated to the clash between the cafe music and the kitchen music. I would prefer a stronger taste of coffee in the espresso drinks, and would be happy if someday the gluten free bread they use got an upgrade. We got two coffees and both tasted like milk and water with a dash of coffee. So a heavily watered down drink. They also charge .50¢ for an iced drink which I've never seen before. So a $6+ iced mocha is ridiculous when it tastes nothing like mocha nor coffee! Not sure of they even add sweetener but this was also not sweet at all. Honestly just the worst coffee I've had.
