Ok 3rd-4th time here and I tried something new the cinnamon roll/sticky bun is an absolutely, mind blowing delicious treat that Im not ashamed to say I devoured alone. 5/5 easy The famous sandwich was super good when I got it a few months back omg it was delicious and I got it on toasted sourdough instead of a biscuit.5/5 I love their biscuits alone or with butter , jam or a side protein but with the sandwich its too rich for me. Biscuits 5/5 I got the egg bowl the first time here with greens and it was a terrible mess and tasted off. would not ever order that again. I would say they do baking really well here and cant go wrong with any of their goods. I will be generous and give 5/5 stars since they are a neighborhood staple and consistently good. But in my opinión they are closer to a 4/5.
Devil's Teeth is one of my go-to breakfast spots during the week. Located in the Embarcadero Center, this cute little café is part restaurant, part bookstore, part stationery shop, and part coffee shop, giving it a unique and cozy vibe. I usually order the regular breakfast sandwich and ask for the biscuit to be lightly toasted. It comes with eggs, cheese, and bacon, and you can add avocado or other extras if you'd like. At around $13, it's a great value--the sandwich is hearty enough to keep me full well into lunchtime. The customer service is consistently friendly, and I love that they open at 7:00 a.m., making it a convenient stop before work. If you work in or live near San Francisco's Financial District, this is definitely a breakfast spot worth checking out.
One of my favorite spots in San Francisco, I always bring loved ones that visit here. As a southern girl, I loooove their biscuits with jelly but their shark cookies are so cute (and their merch as well). I love their ice cookies and have been dying to try their beignets. I highly recommend ordering ahead for pick up
Morning run so we could make it in time to try their beignets! We made it there before 9am, so they were still available. Last time, we came around noon and they already had a sign saying they were sold out. Seating is outdoors on parklet benches. Once your order is ready, they bring it out and call your name. The beignets weren't bad--just deep-fried dough with powdered sugar, so there wasn't really much else going on flavor-wise. Their other pastries looked more promising, though. They had samples of their cinnamon roll, which looked really good. Definitely worth getting there early if you're specifically going for the beignets!
Great service! Street parking only -- no seating available but tables for standing dine-in is The Special-- it's a hefty sandwich haha yes add the avocado, my gluttony approves and I'm also good for the rest of the day regarding meals haha Beignets are also delicious!
The beignets here are really, really good! They're fresh, warm, and generously coated with powdered sugar--definitely something you'll want to try. The breakfast sandwiches are also a great choice, and you'll definitely enjoy your meal. One thing I've noticed, though, is that the biscuits can sometimes come out a little more on the burnt side rather than golden-toasted. That said, the flavor and everything inside the sandwich definitely makes up for it. Overall, a solid breakfast spot with some seriously good beignets. Definitely worth trying!
TIME: came here around 12:10 on a sunday, was pretty packed but honestly it was because people just ran a marathon and i'm guessing it is also because it was sunday PARKING: not horrible, good street parking if you are lucky enough PLACE: super small, no inside seating so we walked across the street to see nearby table benches to eat our food, but there is a cute little library section where you can get books. you order through the cashier in the front and they call your name when your food is ready. FOOD: TUNA MELT - pretty solid, probably could use a little more work SPECIAL BREAKFAST SANDWICH - super good, lots of everything in one sandwich and the sauce pairs so well with it, the sandwich did fall apart the more i ate it but overall it was solid OVERALL: i get the hype about the breakfast sandwich, they also have seasonal syrups for coffee and such but honestly nothing too special but it was overall really good
Simple ordering system and delicious food. Nothing to complain but to enjoy it next to the beach. I ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich & Chai Latte. The Biscuits were so soft and buttery. The eggs perfectly fluffy, cheese super cheesy, sauce had an exceptional lemon aroma, and with bits of bacon to seal the deal and make you come back for more. Personally I never had biscuit as good as I had here without having to fight for my life trying to swallow dry carbs. This one was easily enjoyable. Chai Latte was refreshing that morning.
My friend and I met at Devil's Teeth months ago. I have been to the one on Balboa, but this is my first time here at the OG location. Very friendly service. Got one of their chocolate chips cookies and a cup of water. Delicious. Fun fact: Why did they named this bakery Devil's Teeth? Its name refer to the nearby rocky, jagged and shark infested (during Autumn season) Farallon Island. In the 19th century, sailors/mariners nicknamed that island Devils Teeth due to its notorious history of sinking vessels. Today, Farallon Island is a wildlife refuge, largest seabird breeding colonies in the U.S. Sea lions and seals are here because of the wild life protections, its on one of the whale migration routes, and great white sharks also spotted around this island. The only species not allowed are people. The bakery is located on Noriega and 46th Ave.
First time here, great experience. They're very sweet, even gave us a a treat on the house ! Would definitely come again given the breakfast sandwich was really good
I came here many years ago... in fact I don't know how long. Before Yelp? Coming to this neighborhood about eight months ago with some visiting friends after having lunch, I was not in a food shopping mode. Having a mental bookmark, when a friend asked about stopping to get some ice cream, I remembered it was just a few doors away. After filling the shopping mission, I walked in and stared at the pastry case. Being mid-afternoon, the choices were limited as the display was pretty bare. I decided to get a couple of items though I believe the sandwich options were likely still available. I decided to get two small items for later in the week. I was fearful I wouldn't like the cranberry that replaced the commonly found raisins in oatmeal cookies but I was wrong. It had the right amount of sweetness and the cookie was thin yet chewy as I like it. I hope to come a little earlier so I can see their other offerings and I remember an Earl Grey pastry that was already sold out available that day.

Came for the iconic breakfast sandwich, fell in love with the cinnamon roll! I came to Devil's Teeth with my partner on a Sunday morning after a stroll on the Great Highway. There aren't many places in the Bay Area that specialize in biscuit sandwiches, so I definitely wanted to take the time to go check this spot out! Since I know this is a popular spot, I wasn't surprised of the long line and ended up waiting around 30 minutes in line and another 15 minutes for my sandwich and pastry. The service was very friendly and added to the charm of this small bakery! Even though we came for the sandwich, all the pastries look so good and tempting with flavor combinations I never heard of before (I need to go back to try!) To note, this is a compact shop with no seating on the inside but some outdoor benches! In line, I overheard someone mention how the sandwich was on the smaller side but once we got them, I was throughly impressed how big it was and the serving size! My partner and I got a special sandwich each and I was questioning if we should have shared. In my opinion, I thought the sandwich was good but not mind blowing, but this could be my own preference. The biscuit had a nice soft texture, but I wonder if it was so soft that it didn't add any textural difference to the scrambled eggs, avocado, and bacon. I would also mention that I would have preferred to have more of a stronger lemon flavor to the aioli. That being said what was absolutely delicious was their cinnamon roll. If you like a roll that has crispy edges, while having a lightly gooey consistency, this roll is for you! I don't know if I would come back for the main staple item but I do want to come back to try their other goods!
I've been craving a biscuit sandwich ever since I moved to the Bay! My friends and I decided to try Devil's Teeth Baking Company because it came highly recommended to us by a friend. When we arrived, there was a short line on the sidewalk outside Devil's Teeth. The restaurant, itself, is small and has no indoor seating; only counter service. There is a display counter with pastries that looked delicious, but we were there for the sandwiches. We all ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich and went back outside to wait for our food. There is a small seating area on the sidewalk where we waited until our names were called. The food preparation didn't take long, and soon we were all enjoying our sandwiches. The Special Breakfast Sandwich was delicious. The biscuits were large and salted, and they were piled high with eggs, bacon, aioli, and other delicious ingredients inside. It was exactly what I had been craving. I will 100% be bookmarking this place so I can return ASAP. It's a must-try! It's also close to the beach. read more

Long line but they make the biscuits in big batches, 20 min wait tops for a fresh biscuit sandwich! + Bowl of eggs ($6): Wasn't feeling a biscuit so got a bowl of eggs w cheese, greens, tomato, and sourdough toast for the same price, $13. Finally got to try the infamous Devil's Teeth Baking Company! Let's just say it is so worth the hype!! My friend placed an order online which saved us so much time waiting. Pick up order was a breeze. I tried the special breakfast sandwich, which was a definitely a filling meal. The biscuits were soft, yet moist. It held up the sauce, eggs, bacon, cheese and avocado very well. Everything was so flavorful. Whatever sauce they put in their sandwich is so freaking delicious. Messy sandwich but in a good way. Another place checked off my foodie bucket list! I would say the special breakfast sandwich is worth a try at least once! Such a hefty breakfast sandwich filled with cheese avocado sauce and big pieces of bacon. I also appreciate the location since you could grab your goodies and walk down the hill straight to the beach. Super speedy and friendly service, there's outdoor seating and a friendly cat you can say hello to! Also loved the quaint inside themed around the shark and their baked goods. Devilish good time, look out for changing prices than what they have posted because there are increases and your bill will be higher than what you anticipate. I've noticed this on my last two transactions. Prices were different than what was posted and I wasn't notified by the cashier so I kindly let them know. This place is superrr popular so of course I had to go. My friend was visiting from LA so I was so excited to bring him here and show him our awesome food scene. Sadly, we both ended up pretty disappointed. We both got breakfast sandwiches, one regular and one specialty one with the lemon aioli. The biscuit itself is good but the sandwiches were so dry, I couldn't believe it. Desperately needed hot sauce or something. Other than that, just found the sandwiches pretty average. I hear the other baked goods are great, especially the cinnamon roll. Also great vibes and location so I do wanna give it another try! read more

One if the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! Get The Special, the aioli and avocado and biscuits are simply superb! Is great with sausage but I prefer bacon. Also amazing cookies! I had the Mexican Hot Cocoa and it was perfectly, soft, chewy, with great spices. Ice latte was also perfectly balanced. This place gets packed! I strongly recommend ordering ahead. I was happy to stop by on a week day during lunch to no line! This place gets super packed on the weekends. It's nice coming here before or after a walk down the great hwy for some breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and pair it with some coffee. I forgot how light, fluffy, and creamy their eggs were. Freshly made buttermilk biscuit. I opted in for the special ; buttermilk biscuit with bacon, avocado, egg, pepper jack cheese, and lemon garlic aioli sauce. I usually get the regular so I was a bit worried that the lemon garlic aioli sauce would be too overpowering. However, it was not too heavy on the sauce and all the perfect portions. Loved it! I came on a Thursday morning 8am, there was 3 customers in line. Thank goodness! Ordered 2 special breakfast sandwiches, chai latte & peanut butter cookie. The cashier who took my order, she's so nice. She got every one's order right, she called out everyone's name for their correct items. She is extremely chill which inspired me to be chill at work that day. Waited around 15- 20 minutes for my order. The sandwich is amazing! I love the light spiciness. Egg is fluffy ASF!! Best biscuit I've ever had (not really a fan of biscuit bread) Chai latte wasn't as sweet as other coffee shops/bakery which enlightened me. My spouse and I shared the Special Breakfast Sandwich: a fluffy buttermilk biscuit loaded with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar jack cheese, avocado, and a tangy lemon garlic aioli. It was hearty, flavorful, and totally hit the spot. That biscuit? Still dreaming about it! We also couldn't resist trying a few pastries: the cinnamon roll, orange cranberry scone, donut muffin, and the peach bourbon coffee cake. Each pastry was unique, not overly sweet, and complemented the savory sandwich and coffee beautifully. My personal favorite was the peach bourbon coffee cake as it had great texture, a nice crunch, and just the right hint of sweetness. Don't get me wrong, the sandwich was good but the price is kinda crazy for what it is. Its overall like a 7/10 on the flavor, I think it was a little overhyped coming into it, but that's not their fault. They didn't heat up any baked goods, or even asked if we preferred it that way. Tried Devil's for the first time and it was pretty good! I don't normally eat a breakfast sandwich, I thought the bread was a little too thick for my liking. We didn't realize that you could order ahead and pick up with a slight up charge, but it definitely saves you 30+ min, so it's worth it! read more
I've been here twice now on weekend mornings and while it's always super busy, I've luckily been able to get my food pretty quickly (within 10-15 minutes). Maybe it's because I just order the special breakfast sandwich which seems to be the most popular item so they can probably make it in bulk. The sandwich is definitely loaded up, and they are generous with the fillings (lots of eggs, bacon, avocado). The biscuit is also quite buttery (tasted really good but towards the end it was quite filling). It is definitely on the heavier side but kept me full until late dinner time! It can be a pricier breakfast sandwich, but I think they do make up for it with the portions. Also tried the iced latte here before- it was a good/standard latte, but I think I would mainly come back for the breakfast sandwiches! Parking is not bad in the area if you circle a few times. I usually pick up my food and walk down to the beach to enjoy it with a view. Only a few blocks from Ocean Beach and a fun way to spend a morning. read more
Had to try this spot out since it's so talked about. So delicious!! My boyfriend and I both got the special breakfast sandwiches, one on a biscuit, other on sourdough, both with added greens (extra 0.75 cents). They tasted so fresh- we devoured them at the beach nearby :) make sure to ask for their hot sauce on the side, really good. If you want a filling, flavorful & unique breakfast sandwich experience - this is the place to go! Made the order online and it was ready to go at the estimated time. Our food was in a bag for pick up placed across the counter. They also have unique baked goods, of course had to get a few. The Special - 5/5 - Buttermilk biscuits were dense and held the everything together well. It was stuffed with ingredients, smothered in the sauce. I love how they are generous with the fluffy egg. The pepper jack contrasted the lemon aoili in a fantastic way. The aoili itself did taste just like an elevated mayo. Donut Muffin - 3.5/5 - Loved the fusion. The pastry itself was like a sugar dusted muffin, as it was more dense and buttery like a muffin and not so much like a donut. Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5 - Wow, this one of the best cookies I've had in awhile! Big size, soft and gooey, chocolate in almost every bite. Get one, you won't regret it. Dirty Chai - 1/5 - I'm not a chai expert but I do get them from time to time. This one had to be my least favorite ever, as it had a very heavy spicy profile to it. read more

This is a great little bakery/coffee spot to come hangout at noon on a weekend. It does get pretty busy and bustling with people hanging out on the benches outside however but it's a nice spot to chill. Their special breakfast sandwhich is a cure for whenever I have a hangover lol. Combination of fluffy eggs, bacon, cheese, avocado, and the lemon aioli soaks into the thick biscuits. The line may look overwhelming, but don't let it fool you, it moves fast! I got the breakfast special without bacon and it was delicious and FILLING! The biscuit was perfectly made and had the perfect consistency! The avocado was fresh and delicious! Then I got some cookies and those were delicious too! Theres not much space for a seating area outside, so we ate in the car, but it was still delicious! I'll definitely go back again and try some other pastries too! Hee. read more
Popular place but no indoor seating, great to hang around with friends on the weekends, they do have a bench area outside where people can just chill and enjoy their coffee and sandwich. The service was pretty good, they did run out of sourdough when we got there which was a bummer but they offered to cancel our order and they gave us cookies to make up for it!! After 5 minutes they got more bread and i ordered it again, i'll say it was an ok sandwich, tastes healthy. Enjoyed the sun and hanging out in the sun. read more

The egg sandwich was kind of disappointing, lacked flavor and I felt like the biscuit was just too dense for it. I think the tuna sandwich was actually a much better alternative and was fresh, yummy, and light. The cinnamon roll was perfect, a bit on the sweeter side but it had a good sweet and was balanced. The staff were super nice and attentive, and the they dealt with the long lines well. There was a little seating outside but not much. read more

Best to get there within the first hour or so of business on a Sunday. They go quick!
