GREAT biscuit sandwich. the biscuit is so good, soft and yet slightly crispy. it's a simple thing, but every ingredient was perfect. you can see the sea from this location, framed perrrrfectly through the streets.

Hands-down, one of the best breakfast sandwich in San Francisco. I always come here for the special biscuit sandwich but their lemon bars are also amazing. They have a variety of pastry options, other than the breakfast sandwich, but this place get really busy so come early!

Stopped by Devil's Teeth Baking Company at One Embarcadero, and this location is incredibly convenient if you work nearby -- so close to so many offices, which makes it an easy breakfast or lunch stop. Everything is made fresh, and it really shows. I ordered the special breakfast sandwich and swapped the pepper jack for cheddar, and it was absolutely mouthwatering. The special is 100% worth it -- the avocado and aioli take it to the next level. Despite a steady crowd, my wait was only about 5 minutes, which is impressive. Bonus points for the free dog treats, which is such a thoughtful touch. They also sell books, cards, and bakery items, all of which looked amazing, plus a fridge stocked with cold drinks and sauces. Overall, a great experience from start to finish -- delicious food, fast service, and a really welcoming setup. Will definitely be back.

Their breakfast sandwiches have been on my list for ages and I'm happy to report that they live up to the hype. With a few days to spare in 2025, I knocked this bakery off my bucket list! We got the special breakfast sandwiches (one with bacon, one subbed veggies) and a regular breakfast sandwich (sub bacon for veggies). We placed the order online so we just picked it up when we arrived but oh my gosh the biscuit was so warm and moist. The egg was fluffy and cheese added the perfect amount of salty. I'm honestly not the biggest bacon person so I didn't miss it and I thought the greens added a good refreshing bite. My mom got the special with bacon and she liked the salty/crispy element so if you like bacon then she recommends it! Ratings Special breakfast sandwich: 5/5 Regular breakfast sandwich: 5/5

Cinnamon Roll (4/5): Really good. Slightly crisp on the outside, soft and sugary inside. Different layers had different textures--super tasty, even if it was a bit awkward to eat at first with just a plastic spoon. Beignets (3/5): Good and a great deal for $1. Specialty Sandwich (3/5): Yummy and creamy with the avocado, egg, and sauce. The lemon made it a bit less savory, and the protein portion was small, but still worth it. Overall: Friendly staff, decent prices, outdoor seating only. Wait can be a little long. Good vibes. Would come back.

The breakfast sandwich here is an absolute must try when you have a chance! The homemade sauce, buttery biscuit, bacon & avocado are a deadly combo. I also pair it with a coffee to get my morning going. Although there is no seating inside, it's nice to enjoy the outdoors when you're eating it on the benches outside!

The Devil will make you do it, and you'll love it! The devil's teeth baking company is a San Francisco must try. It's the perfect place for Takeaway, and standing in line is definitely worth it. I wouldn't consider it to be a traditional bakery, but they have some really tasty baked goods. The cinnamon roll is high on that list. It's not covered with goopy frosting, even though we all love the frosting, but it's a nice size portion and it's filled with cinnamon and sugar goodness. The outer sides of the role are less tender or moist than the outer portion of the cinnamon roll, but each bite is filled with this caramelized, cinnamon sugar flavor that makes it absolutely divine! The reason for I must try visit is their special breakfast sando. I had read so many reviews, including the yelp reviews, and it was just a given that I had to try it! This deliciousness is all house made, and frankly, I just can't get enough! The biscuit that it's served on is everything you want a biscuit to be. Light, fluffy, and I just want to enjoy this with butter and honey. The special breakfast Sando Includes scrambled eggs, aïoli, bacon, fresh, sliced avocado, and dimension that it's perfection?! It's the meal that you crave and did not even know it. Truly, the only downside, is the fact that there's only a few seats on the outside of the bakery, and it's not really a sitdown establishment. Most people will get in the queue and with their turn to place the order. There is the option to pre-order , but you still must wait in the queue so there is a little bit of a time savings there. As a Sunday special, they offer the house made beignets. I ordered one because it's a dollar and why not try it?! It's not like café Du Monde, it's really very bready with powdered sugar it's OK, but I don't think I would do it again. If you haven't met the devil, you need to do it right away!

This neighborhood favorite stands out from others, not just because their breakfast sandwiches are loaded and delicious, Devil's Teeth is a philanthropic community gem. For this month of November, they're providing people with EBT card & ID - 4 free regular or special sandwiches per week. I bought a ginger cookie, which is chewy sweet and gingery, appropriate for this season. They also have breads, muffins, pies, coffee and other goodies. Open daily, lines are short on weekdays. Staff is wonderful and there are seats outside.

Don't try to save calories when you're here. Keep the avocados in. I got two special breakfast sandwiches, and I opted for no avocados on one of them. I made the mistake of taking a bite out of the regular one first (the one with avocado). I don't know what they did, but that avocado was amazing. It made the sandwich. The special without the avocado was just okay. The biscuit was toasted, but too toasted for me because it was on the harder side. It was thick too so it felt like something was missing (yes, it's the avocado that's missing). Long story short. Worth a try. I don't love their biscuit, but I really liked the their avocado in their sandwich.

We were going for a walk at ocean beach but wanted a quick bite before the walk. The line does get quite long. You first wait in line out side before you can order. After ordering you wait outside and there will be seating out doors. There is also a table where the staff will bring you the food you order. We ordered the special which comes with egg, avocado, bacon, cheese on a biscuit and a special sauce. The biscuit is really fresh and flaky. The sauce was saucing. It was enough to feed two people. We also tried the beignet. That took a bit longer as it's made fresh to order. The one thing I would recommend is to put the powder sugar on first before placing the beignet in the bag. I found that all the sugar stuck to the base of the bag and when beignet was put into the bag it did not absorb any powder sugar. Will definitely comeback to try the speciality on sourdough.

I've been craving a biscuit sandwich ever since I moved to the Bay! My friends and I decided to try Devil's Teeth Baking Company because it came highly recommended to us by a friend. When we arrived, there was a short line on the sidewalk outside Devil's Teeth. The restaurant, itself, is small and has no indoor seating; only counter service. There is a display counter with pastries that looked delicious, but we were there for the sandwiches. We all ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich and went back outside to wait for our food. There is a small seating area on the sidewalk where we waited until our names were called. The food preparation didn't take long, and soon we were all enjoying our sandwiches. The Special Breakfast Sandwich was delicious. The biscuits were large and salted, and they were piled high with eggs, bacon, aioli, and other delicious ingredients inside. It was exactly what I had been craving. I will 100% be bookmarking this place so I can return ASAP. It's a must-try! It's also close to the beach.

Special Breakfast Sandwich with sausage (amazing)
Amanda S.

One if the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! Get The Special, the aioli and avocado and biscuits are simply superb! Is great with sausage but I prefer bacon. Also amazing cookies! I had the Mexican Hot Cocoa and it was perfectly, soft, chewy, with great spices. Ice latte was also perfectly balanced. This place gets packed! I strongly recommend ordering ahead. There is some bench seating outside mostly used for folks waiting so its more of a a grab and go spot.

I was happy to stop by on a week day during lunch to no line! This place gets super packed on the weekends. It's nice coming here before or after a walk down the great hwy for some breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and pair it with some coffee. I forgot how light, fluffy, and creamy their eggs were. Freshly made buttermilk biscuit. I opted in for the special ; buttermilk biscuit with bacon, avocado, egg, pepper jack cheese, and lemon garlic aioli sauce. I usually get the regular so I was a bit worried that the lemon garlic aioli sauce would be too overpowering. However, it was not too heavy on the sauce and all the perfect portions. Loved it! You can even order online for same day pick up!

Once the bakery opened at 9 AM the line moved fairly fast, but by opening time the line was down two blocks and wrapped around out of sight. We'd heard about B&C lines but even this on a weekday morning was surprising. Overall the pastries were very good, I will say that the savory pastries rank higher here than anywhere else I've been, but the sweet pastries don't. We got the Strawberry Rhubarb Cruffin, Lemon Bluberry Bun, Potato Artichoke Croquiche, Bacon Egg & Cheese, and Sam's Blood Orange Olive Oil Cake. The Croquiche was my favorite of all of them, and it was great warm, with a nice creamy filling. From the sweet pastries, my favorite was the Strawberry Rhubarb Cruffin - the rhubarb taste wasn't very strong but it was overall flaky, not too dry (even when eating it later in the day), and the cinnamon coating also didn't clash with the strawberry, vanilla, and orange. Least favorite was the olive oil cake; it was slightly bitter and the olive oil taste was dominating. These pastries are very large. Split between 2 people 3 of them were enough for us to be so full we saved the rest for later. I also got the Brown Butter Butterscotch Latte (iced), I'm not usually a fan of coffee but it was really good (it's very sweet so as a non-coffee drinker that worked out for me - the syrups overpower the coffee taste). The inside is cute with a pastel pink theme, we were able to snag the two seats by the window. I also liked the merch for sale and got a small print of the storefront. Definitely worth going too once, but due to the line I probably won't return until a monthly menu comes out that has a lot of things I desperately want to try. It's a top 3 bakery in SF for sure.

Pineapple King is a place I absolutely have a love-hate relationship about. I like how innovation the buns are, but the ordering process - regardless of whether I waited in line or I ordered in advance - has been very disappointing. I placed online orders in May 2021, April 2022, October 2022, June 2023, January 2025, and then today. (Thanks to my email which reminded me of the dates) Every single time I had to wait extra time for my previously placed online order to be ready. After several times of waiting for an extra 10 minutes, I decided to give them extra time to prepare the buns. It simply did NOT work. They always, and I mean always, asked me to wait for 5 more minutes. 5 minutes passed, and the order was still not ready. The average wait time has been 10 minutes in addition to the announced pick-up time. You might want to say, oh, I would like you to receive your buns warm and fresh. Thanks. But if a customer is late, they don't deserve warm and fresh buns. On the contrary, for us who are on time, why do we have to wait for extra time? Please consider adjusting the estimated pick-up time if you are super busy. I understand your store gets busy, and congratulations about that. Please ask your staff to give us a more accurate "extra wait time" because we customers are busy too. Our time is no less valuable than yours. Besides, I understand that you need to check our photo ID during pick-up. Please be consistent with your policy. While I was waiting by the pick-up window, I noticed there were customers who were not asked for their IDs, and they actually picked up their order after a 2-minute wait. Questions can be raised if you only enforce your policy either randomly or only towards several customers. After a few disappointing visits, our family are sad to say that this will be the very last time being your customers. How you run your business just don't align with our values. I do wish you all the best in your business. Thank you for reading my comment.

Our cousins were familiar with both bakeries and graciously volunteered to be our foodie guides as we drove to these two bakeries Saturday morning. After visiting Tartine and B Patisserie, Arizmendi was our final bakery and our last stop on our Bay Area foodie tour. Just like the other two bakeries, Arizmendi was a popular destination, it was different than the other two in the selection of the pastries, and I highly recommend their corn cranberry scone and their cheese focaccia. Arizmendi is also located in the Mission District specifically on Valenica and 24th Street. The bakery is in between a Royal gas station and the KitTea Cat Lounge. Parking consists of street parking and just like the other bakeries, parking could be challenging, but Arizmendi is worth the trouble parking and walking to this confectionary paradise. This bakery is a business where their baked goods are enjoyed at home since there is minimal seating. What's unique about this bakery compared to the other two is how the baked goodies are selected. It is self serve where it's a little hectic trying to maneuver around other customers to pick the pastries and breads you desire. The young black lady behind the register who checked us out was courteous, friendly, and took care of us quickly. As you enter Arizmendi, there are four wooden display cases with plexiglass holding scones, cinnamon rolls, muffins, pies, croissants, focaccia, cookies, and shortbreads. As you peer through the plexiglass to decide what to select, make sure to grab the provided wax to pick up your baked goods and place them in the provided bags. One of our friends asked us to grab scones, so scones were one of the items we knew we were going to purchase. My wife selected other items, but I asked her for a focaccia because my cousin said that Arizmendi was know for their pizza breads. I highly recommend you purchase their corn cranberry scones. These scones are hearty, the cranberry is plentiful, and I really enjoyed these while I was drinking a coffee at home. The focaccia I picked was a cheese focaccia made with poblanos, kale, and queso fresco. That square pizza bread was a savory revelation where I devoured that as snack after heating it in our home toaster oven. It was cheesy, the poblanos and kale were tasty, and I completely agreed with my cousin's assessment about their pizza bread. We're so grateful to our cousins for taking valuable time to serve as our foodie tour guides during our trip to San Francisco. Bay Area denizens are blessed to have three bakeries where they can satisfy their pastry, dessert, and bread cravings. We're fans of Arizmendi's scones and pizza bread.
