Brownie perfectly crunchy on the outside and chewie on the inside. Maaaarvelous!! A solid chocolate chip cookie and a bad hot chocolate (hot cocoa), skip that one. The Sunday $1 Beignet are a little fun treat, and they come pipping hot in a little bag full of confectioner's sugar. Beware, it might make a little mess! They are mostly known for the ??????, and although the filling is hefty and well done, I am not a fan of dry pastries. They are a popular spot, very often there's a little line going on, but it moves quickly. There's not really a dedicated eating space with tables, but there are multiple benches outside that double as waiting area and as a "non-tabled" eating spot.
Delicious food and friendly staff in a SF gem. I had the vegetarian breakfast biscuit and a cinnamon horchata oat milk latte. Everything is brought out to you to eat outside and it was a beautiful day. My pregnant friend thought there wasn't a bathroom but there is one for customers. I want to try everything on the menu. It's all delicious. Devil's teeth refers to the teeth of sharks and cute shark keychains and stickers and shirts are available for purchase. I brought home a pound of ground Sunset roast.
Ok 3rd-4th time here and I tried something new the cinnamon roll/sticky bun is an absolutely, mind blowing delicious treat that Im not ashamed to say I devoured alone. 5/5 easy The famous sandwich was super good when I got it a few months back omg it was delicious and I got it on toasted sourdough instead of a biscuit.5/5 I love their biscuits alone or with butter , jam or a side protein but with the sandwich its too rich for me. Biscuits 5/5 I got the egg bowl the first time here with greens and it was a terrible mess and tasted off. would not ever order that again. I would say they do baking really well here and cant go wrong with any of their goods. I will be generous and give 5/5 stars since they are a neighborhood staple and consistently good. But in my opinión they are closer to a 4/5.
One of my favorite spots in San Francisco, I always bring loved ones that visit here. As a southern girl, I loooove their biscuits with jelly but their shark cookies are so cute (and their merch as well). I love their ice cookies and have been dying to try their beignets. I highly recommend ordering ahead for pick up
Devil's Teeth is one of my go-to breakfast spots during the week. Located in the Embarcadero Center, this cute little café is part restaurant, part bookstore, part stationery shop, and part coffee shop, giving it a unique and cozy vibe. I usually order the regular breakfast sandwich and ask for the biscuit to be lightly toasted. It comes with eggs, cheese, and bacon, and you can add avocado or other extras if you'd like. At around $13, it's a great value--the sandwich is hearty enough to keep me full well into lunchtime. The customer service is consistently friendly, and I love that they open at 7:00 a.m., making it a convenient stop before work. If you work in or live near San Francisco's Financial District, this is definitely a breakfast spot worth checking out.
Morning run so we could make it in time to try their beignets! We made it there before 9am, so they were still available. Last time, we came around noon and they already had a sign saying they were sold out. Seating is outdoors on parklet benches. Once your order is ready, they bring it out and call your name. The beignets weren't bad--just deep-fried dough with powdered sugar, so there wasn't really much else going on flavor-wise. Their other pastries looked more promising, though. They had samples of their cinnamon roll, which looked really good. Definitely worth getting there early if you're specifically going for the beignets!
Great service! Street parking only -- no seating available but tables for standing dine-in is The Special-- it's a hefty sandwich haha yes add the avocado, my gluttony approves and I'm also good for the rest of the day regarding meals haha Beignets are also delicious!
The beignets here are really, really good! They're fresh, warm, and generously coated with powdered sugar--definitely something you'll want to try. The breakfast sandwiches are also a great choice, and you'll definitely enjoy your meal. One thing I've noticed, though, is that the biscuits can sometimes come out a little more on the burnt side rather than golden-toasted. That said, the flavor and everything inside the sandwich definitely makes up for it. Overall, a solid breakfast spot with some seriously good beignets. Definitely worth trying!
TIME: came here around 12:10 on a sunday, was pretty packed but honestly it was because people just ran a marathon and i'm guessing it is also because it was sunday PARKING: not horrible, good street parking if you are lucky enough PLACE: super small, no inside seating so we walked across the street to see nearby table benches to eat our food, but there is a cute little library section where you can get books. you order through the cashier in the front and they call your name when your food is ready. FOOD: TUNA MELT - pretty solid, probably could use a little more work SPECIAL BREAKFAST SANDWICH - super good, lots of everything in one sandwich and the sauce pairs so well with it, the sandwich did fall apart the more i ate it but overall it was solid OVERALL: i get the hype about the breakfast sandwich, they also have seasonal syrups for coffee and such but honestly nothing too special but it was overall really good
Simple ordering system and delicious food. Nothing to complain but to enjoy it next to the beach. I ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich & Chai Latte. The Biscuits were so soft and buttery. The eggs perfectly fluffy, cheese super cheesy, sauce had an exceptional lemon aroma, and with bits of bacon to seal the deal and make you come back for more. Personally I never had biscuit as good as I had here without having to fight for my life trying to swallow dry carbs. This one was easily enjoyable. Chai Latte was refreshing that morning.
My friend and I met at Devil's Teeth months ago. I have been to the one on Balboa, but this is my first time here at the OG location. Very friendly service. Got one of their chocolate chips cookies and a cup of water. Delicious. Fun fact: Why did they named this bakery Devil's Teeth? Its name refer to the nearby rocky, jagged and shark infested (during Autumn season) Farallon Island. In the 19th century, sailors/mariners nicknamed that island Devils Teeth due to its notorious history of sinking vessels. Today, Farallon Island is a wildlife refuge, largest seabird breeding colonies in the U.S. Sea lions and seals are here because of the wild life protections, its on one of the whale migration routes, and great white sharks also spotted around this island. The only species not allowed are people. The bakery is located on Noriega and 46th Ave.
Been waiting forever to try! The breakfast sandwich (regular, no cheese) was decadent and fabulous. Biscuit was crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. Eggs were good, nice crunchy bacon. Cinnamon roll was gooey, uber-moist, caramelized, perfect cinnamon level, very rich. My husband liked his BLT, especially the mustard. Iced chai latte was not worth writing home about and I'd skip the café drink next time. There is outdoor seating but we took ours to go and enjoyed it in Ocean Beach.
Reviews are largely positive. People love the breakfast sandwiches, buttery biscuits, and pastries and baked goods. Staff are friendly, and the outdoor seating is a draw.

Delicious breakfast sandwich that is worth all the hype! I ordered the special breakfast sandwich without cheese because I'm lactose intolerant. The buttermilk biscuit was so hot, steamy, and delicious, and the rest of the sandwich made the entire bite so moist and creamy. A good serving of egg despite the egg shortage! Appreciated the hefty serving of perfectly ripe avocado, and the lemon garlic aioli sauce was sooo good. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. The shop is a little small but there is a connected bookstore so the vibes are cute. Definitely will come back when I'm in downtown SF! read more

The boyf discovered this spot on his own and swore by it. So to combat Friday night shenanigans, we went here on a Saturday lunch time. The entire car ride my boyf was hyping it up so much that he made himself nervous in the case that I had the total opposite thoughts. (That rarely happens, our taste buds are very much aligned). Low and behold... OUT OF BISCUITS! "NOOOOO! The biscuits are what MAKE the bfast sandwich what it is!" -My Boyf at the register the minute we ordered. We opted for regular toast since we were already there. Sad the biscuit wasn't in the picture because even with just regular toast it was a delicious-cure me from this empty stomach-hangover. My favorite part was that it was PACKED but wasn't falling apart as I was eating it. Going to make it a mission for the boyf and I to come back so I can get the full experience with the biscuit. read more

I have been meaning to come here for years. I finally made the trip over after a run through Golden Gate Park. Don't be fooled, you wont be able to run after. These tasty, rich breakfast sandwiches absolutely hit the spot. I can't stop recommending their food to my friends. Next time I visit, I'd love to try more of the sweets in their pastry case. I haven't had to wait more than 10 minutes for my coffee and food. I recommend going out of your way to try this place! read more
This place is known for their breakfast sandwiches and is recommended by a friend who lives in the Sunset area of SF. I went here in the late morning and it was still fairly busy, but parking was not too hard to find (street parking). I got the special breakfast sandwich which is a breakfast sandwich with avocado and bacon. At $1.50 surcharge, this is a worthwhile upgrade compared to the regular breakfast sandwich. It does take a while to prepare, maybe 15-20 minutes, but it was worth it as they prepared it fresh to order. The sandwich is made of buttermilk biscuit which is quite buttery, and the eggs are fairly soft / over easy. The avocados were fresh and the bacon is fairly flavorful. The sandwich is fairly filling, so it was a good call that I shared this with a friend so that I could try out other places during my limited time in SF. Overall, this place is worth the hype! read more
First time customer and was super pleased. The Regular Breakfast Sandwich took about 45 minutes to come out, so I'm glad we got a slice of Coffee Cake, which was served right away. The pictures and descriptions on Yelp show different versions with walnuts or pecans or blueberries, etc, but I remember ours with a layer of orange zest. Overall was a fan of the coffee cake, but not of the zest. After waiting outside, our order of breakfast sandwiches was called. We leaned on the chest-high wooden 'boxes' to eat because the other seats were taken. The biscuits made the sandwich, but they were just a bit dry (maybe the aioli from the 'Special' evens it out). The thick applewood bacon was super flavorful and provided the right crunch. It filled me up and was reasonably priced ($11.50). The restaurant and kitchen are small, so I understand the wait, but if I were in a rush, it would have been frustrating. If you know you're coming here, call to order ahead and pick up 45-60 minutes afterwards. read more

Recommended to us by @mrstvoros this place came with a lot of advance hype. Her endorsement included this reflection, "One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had!" With the bar set quite high, we were perfectly willing to drive out of our way for this taste bud reconnaissance mission! Since this is a bakery they also offer cookies, bread, etc., but our sights were set on their "Regular" and "Special" Breakfast Sandwiches. Enjoying your food isn't allowed inside, so come prepared to eat outside on their benches when you visit. Their Buttermilk Biscuits are outstanding! I previously haven't been a "biscuit guy" so I didn't have much of a frame of reference to draw upon, but I now know exactly what I'm looking for during future reviews! While their menu didn't make any reference to gravy, my personal investigation concluded that it is, in fact, included and should henceforth be referred to as their "secret sauce." Lest the eggs and smokey bacon feel neglected, they also deserve proper acknowledgment. Their contributions completed this jewel of a breakfast sandwich that literally had me licking the tin foil (outside on a public bench) with a wanton disregard for the scrutiny of others. "Haters gonna hate, and I don't care as long as I ate!" (Hmmm, I may just use that line again! Insert legal language here. I've been wanting to go to Devil's Teeth Baking Company for a while now. I got a breakfast sandwich. It was delicious. The biscuit is homemade. It had a sort of sweetness to it, but I didn't mind it too much. The sandwich was packed with some awesome stuff. Bacon. Avocado. Cheese. Sauce. I definitely want to come back and try some other things. If you have a dog, they have treats while it lasts. By the time I got there, they were all out. The display of pastries caught my attention. So many different kinds. So many to try. I'll be coming back. read more
SOOO YUMMMYYY! Came here kinda late on a Sunday around 2pm so there was barely a line and they did NOT run out of biscuits (was definitely a stressor bc I'd read reviews on how sometimes they run out and would have to use regular toast again). There were some people sitting outside in the sodden seating area which was nice and the day was beautiful. Got the special breakfast sandwich of course as well as two pastries - sweet cheese bread and sweet bread pudding. The other reviews were right - the sauciness of the sandwich paired so well with the density of the biscuits! Thought my friend likes it to be over saucy so he wondered it he'd like the toast version more. It was so delicious though and I loved the bacon wish there were more. The sweets were great too! Could not finish in one sitting. The sweet cheese corn had a very subtle flavor, the texture of the bread was rlly nice; it was like a mild less chewy more bready version of a pao de queso. It's been seven years since I've visited San Fran. This was a must stop on my way to the airport. Took home a lemon bar, cinnamon and had the dirty chai latte. I love the cinnamon roll! I mean LOVE it! I decided to try the dirty chai. It has a shot of espresso. It wasn't my favorite but I'm happy that I tried it. I love this bakery and will support it each time I visit. read more

I've been here more than 5x now and am forever obsessed with the Special Breakfast Sandwich. The flavors are mind-blowing especially their special sauce. The place is small so we tend to either eat outside or take our sandwiches + coffees to go. The people here are all super nice as well. Always going to come back for more! read more
Devils teeth is known for their breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Unfortunately it is not a sit down location but it's close to the beach.*There isn't a public restroom. We ordered the regular and special breakfast sandwich, coffee, oatmeal cranberry cookie and a strawberry banana muffin. The oatmeal cookie was amazing not overly sweet. The strawberry banana muffin was moist and flavorful. Coffee was ok not my favorite. The Special breakfast sandwich has avocado and aioli and is spectacular. The regular breakfast sandwich was good as well. Everything was reasonably priced! Would love to comeback for more treats :) read more

After a two hour run, my partner and I were in need of a quick lunch. My partner found this place and he was intrigued by it. We lined up and it goes by quickly. It's a busy place with many folks waiting for their food. We ordered the chai latte, donut muffin, tuna melt and special breakfast sandwich. Everything was extremely below average in taste aside from the special breakfast sandwich. It's a nice and convenient bite with seats available. read more
Came for the breakfast sandwich but ended up going to town ordering here and am so happy we did, everything was mouth watering! Plus, we were able to snack on all of our pastries and baked goods while waiting for our breakfast sando to come up. Aside form the sandwich with sausage, we ordered the zucchini fig bread, strawberry basil scone, and ginger cookie. The shocking winner for me was the scone! I normally hate scones and think they're super dry and inedible. Not the case at all with this one. It was almost more biscuit like than scone like. Not dry, not overly crumbly, just a perfect pastry. If all scones tasted like this I would for sure be a scone fan. Not to mention the fun basil and strawberry combination, super flavorful and both were really noticeable. Breakfast sandwich was also amazing, and massive. The cheese was oozing out of the sides...yum! Two of us ended up sharing one, good call especially with all the other pastries we got. A really solid breakfast sandwich, conveniently located right next to ocean beach. I ordered the SPECIAL BREAKFAST SANDWICH ($12.50) ahead through their website, which was convenient but may have been a dollar more than in-store. It feels a little pricy for the portion size, but the sandwich is pretty heavy so makes for a satisfying breakfast. I do recommend paying extra for the special as the biscuit is a little crumbly and dry (as most biscuits tend to be) and definitely benefits from the additional avocado and garlic aioli. read more

The most satisfying breakfast sandwich I think I've ever had! The Special Breakfast Sandwich is just incredible on sourdough bread, it is perfectly crunchy and gooey while also being packed with flavor; I recommend adding the hot sauce to the sandwich it really highlights the flavors well! Small shop with great outdoor seating. Amazing baked goods. They are not afraid to mix interesting ingredients together to come up with some unique and delicious treats Had the earl grey pistachio bread and pecan spice banana muffin. Each was delicious. Friends said they have the best breakfast sandwiches. Can't wait to go back and try that next. Saw a bacon cheddar beer muffin that was calling me back for too! One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in the city!! Upon arriving there was a long line leading in, however it went by quickly. The ordering process was quick, easy and straight forward. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. I had ordered the special breakfast sandwich and an iced latte. The iced latte was sub par, however the breakfast sandwich did not disappoint. It was reasonably priced, came out quickly and was undeniably delicious. You have to order the special breakfast sandwich. The garlic aioli and avocado make such a big difference. This is such a great place to go to on the weekend and is so close to the beach. Would definitely recommend making the trip out there! read more

Food: I had the special breakfast sandwich, which is the breakfast sandwich with a lemon garlic aioli and avocado. It was pretty tasty. Aside from the bacon being a little overdone and dry, and the biscuit being a bit too flaky to scoop up any fallen mashed avocado, this was a great sandwich! Worth a try. Ambiance: not a place to sit and eat indoors, but there is plenty of outdoor seating. Service: order at the counter and wait outside for your name to be called. Service was quick, I waited less than 5 mins for my order on a Saturday afternoon. read more

I love that this shop is on the sunny side of the block, perfect place to soak in my Vitamin D and enjoy my morning coffee. There is something for everyone to enjoy, breakfast sandwiches, assorted pastries and cute shark shaped sugar cookies! The bacon and cheddar beer muffin has a strong beer taste, for me, that even the bacon, cheddar and chives cannot take away. The coffee cake is dense and heavy and the best part is the topping on the coffee cake. It's not the normal sugar and butter because there's a lot of bite to it with the nuts and oats. Parking is easy, residential, no meters. No public restroom. read more
My friend and I have been eyeing this place for some time now and finally came to visit! The exterior is colorful and welcoming and the interior has a more industrial feel. The balance is really nice. It was quiet when we came in at around 10:30am. You go up to the front where you'll see the pastry display. You can look and choose what you'd like to order in the front. They're all friendly and hands are busy stocking the supplies and packaging orders. The florentine rebel has a fragrant pesto flavor with cheese. I would spend all of my money here if they sold the bread alone. So delicious. The soft boiled egg will ooze when cut so if you're going to bite straight into it, be careful of the yolk that breaks. We also got a matcha latte. If you prefer yours more sweet remember to ask for sweetener. Otherwise everything was so good! read more

After finishing this you will get a food coma and go back to sleep happy. Always a line but service moves fast. Have been coming here for years and years. One of my go-tos when I deserve a little treat. There's just something about coming by on a sunny morning, with the light coastal breeze and munching down on the sandwich within the quiet neighborhood. Great way to start the day that precedes a long busy work week. 90% of time I do only get the special breakfast sandwich and it has remained consistently delicious throughout the times. Thick scrambled eggs, slab of avocado, pepper jack cheese, lemon-garlic aioli in between warm biscuits. Highly suggest to eat it there as soon as they pass it to you. read more

Tik tok brought me here lmao. I got the special breakfast sandwich, but switched out the bacon with sausage. I actually wish I kept the bacon however, cuz I heard it was a lot better with bacon. The sandwich was giving me almost a creamy chipotle (?) type taste which I wasn't really expecting. The cheese and the way they stuffed the sandwich was great, but my sandwich was hella crooked and uneven, so I didn't have many bites with everything in it at once. The chai tea latte was good, not too sweet and had a lot the spices at the bottom that I almost ate but I didn't mind it that much LOL. It wasn't sweet if you're looking for that. On my first visit, I thought it was an overhyped yipster bakery. Pass forward 9 years, I was in the area and wanted to give them another shot. I'm SOOOO glad I did. Google "Best Breakfast Sandwich in SF" and every list will have Devil's Teeth on the top of the list and for good reason. And, this is coming from a person who doesn't care for breakfast food. Devil's Teeth is open for takeout and delivery (limited delivery range). There's a parklet outside to enjoy your food warm.
