Would've gone 3 1/2 stars if available. Nothing really special about the donuts or cookies. Customer service was good. Wouldn't rush to - but also wouldn't avoid.

Had an iced American and strawberry lemonade. Both were pretty good but the coffee was a little weak. Also got a vanilla frosted donut with sprinkles that was decent and an m&m cookie! In all honesty this place is a little over hyped and we've had better coffee other places

7/30/26 I got 3 donuts and a coffee with my mom, we were not warmly welcomed and received mediocre service. The donuts were good but we were definitely disappointed when given a regular togo box because they only do their logo boxes for larger orders. Overall if i received a better or any greeting from the rude servers I would've given a better review. First Impressions are everything!

As I remembered pre-Covid days - the space has expanded (or moved) not quite sure but service was quick and friendly. Donuts exceptional. Love that they elevated the options and I'm a "cream filled" girl so the Black Raven or whatever it's called and the Boston Creme with dark chocolate ganache were perfect for enjoying half at a time (and then devouring like a fat a**)

We stopped in Mystic, CT to grab these delicious donuts! The pistachio donut was out of this world Paired it with a honey vanilla cold brew to make it a perfect day. We brought these to Misquamicut Beach to make it a sweet morning. Very welcoming environment.

Great service, clean and donuts were amazing! They sell out of donuts pretty quick so I recommend getting there early!

Key lime pie (green) Blackberry pear (the sugared one) Earl gray (with the crumbles)

Line out the door, donuts, coffee, sign me up. The line moves fast, and the servers are nice when you're trying tod decide which to go with - so don't let a crowd deter you. First time here and we went with the key lime donut, earl gray and blackberry pear. Earl gray was the weak link. It didn't have any early gray flavor, however the cream filling was quite nice, subtly sweet and overall the donut itself was great texture wise. Just flat out missed on flavor. The blackberry pear was good- a little more pear emphasis than blackberry, and if you're thinking "pear doesn't have a ton of flavor as is....?", you're catching on. This donut was also missing on flavor a hit- not as much as the earl gray though. It was good. Wasn't a fan of the sugar coating though, too gritty for me. Key lime pie donut is where it's at. I assume this won't stay for the fall so hop on it while you can. If I could have gotten 3 of these instead of the other 2, I would have. It packed zestiness, creamy custard filling, pie crumbles, the whole gambit. The patio was covered in crumbs- and now I know why. People were probably eating this winner of a donut. Be selective. But I don't know, they're donuts, have fun.

I've been wanting to try this place for a few years now, and after having been to a yelp event about 10-minutes away, we planned to make this our next stop. It's a cute location across the street from the Mystic Aquarium. We ended up ordering a half dozen donuts and a couple of cookies. There was only 1 employee there that I could see. I went back in line to grab a coffee and a chocolate chip cookie. Didn't bother to check the bag it was in, until we got home. 90-minutes later. It wasn't a chocolate chip cookie. I don't know what it was. I'm assuming their cannoli cookie? Either way, it wasn't for me. I can't speak for my traveling companions for the day, but I did cut a bite of both the maple donut and the vanilla glaze, and wasn't impressed. The maple needed more ... maple flavor. The vanilla was dry. There's way better places in CT for amazing donuts, but for myself, Deviant was just meh.

Very very good. Ordered 2 Caramel Iced Lattes and a carrot cake fritter. Very quick and friendly staff. My only regret was not trying more! They change their menu monthly with 12 new donuts. Cant wait to try next months.

I can never make it here in the morning, so I had a friend pick some up for us this time! And for that reason, I wish there was another one in the state!! This time we got the a coconut and caramel drizzled donut with a Boston cream and a white chocolate turtle on top

Delicious donuts! Quick service considering the fast forming line, and lots of outdoor seating to enjoy your sweet treats. All of our donuts were delicious, my favorite was the "Samoan" but it he vanilla glaze and double chocolate were the equally delicious. A perfect sweet treat or breakfast before exploring mystic village!

The line was out the door and the donut choices were limited by the time we got there around 3pm on Saturday of holiday weekend. Line went fast. Service was friendly and helpful. Got a seasonal special cookie iced latte and it was delicious! The pizza donut was so generous, we shared it. Fluffy tasty dough, with a caramel creme. It made me happy just to experience it. Loved it here. Absolutely will come back next time we are here. It's a walk in/walk out place with some tables on a porch. We were fortunate to get a table. Great donuts and coffee choices. Fair pricing. Loved it!

    Veronica K.

I really liked this place! The cream they use in their donuts is phenomenal - super light and fluffy. The best thing I had here was their pistachio donut. The pistachio cream and icing was absolutely delicious! I also had their orange creamsicle cake donut which was filling, and their drip coffee was pretty good. My husband said his cortado was so-so and his lemon cookie was kind of dry, but at least I got some good items. It's a bit pricy for what it is, but look where it's located. Overall though, I think this is a good spot.

Once I got my items, I went outside to sit on their front porch/patio area with my husband and pup. The blueberry lemonade was really good. Very sweet. It had like bits of blueberry in it as well. And it js MASSIVE. Kind of a steal. The bowtie croissant was SO good. They make sure its filled to the brim with jam. And it was good jam. The croissant itself was fantastic. It was a little thicker to make sure the jam didn't immediately spill out, and that was genuis. I loved it. It was exactly the top of croissant I wanted with jam. The ebbieoche was delicious. Husband loved the cinnamon and sugar. We ate all of it. They had a good amount of pastries and everything was beautiful. I would 100% come back and stand in line.

So that means everyone loves Nana's. Which means that, on a very rainy weekend early afternoon, we ended up waiting quite a long time to order and then to get our food but ... I suppose it was worth it (this is high praise coming from someone who almost never believes waiting in a long line is actually worth it). My friend and I split the spicy Caesar kale salad as a starter. I cracked up when I saw "massaged kale" as one of the ingredients. But all jokes aside, this was one of the best kale salads with abundant dressing and, in lieu of croutons, breadcrumbs and cashew parmesan. It tasted pretty indulgent and rich but you can certainly fool yourself into thinking it's actually healthy. I got the tomato sandwich plus bacon (so a BLT without the L) and it was pretty good, though I do wish they cut the bread a little thinner so I could pick it up and eat it as a sandwich. As it were, I just used my knife and fork - certainly more civilized. The pizza was also not bad, though I wish there were some more of the toppings - heard it's leagues better than Mystic Pizza. There are a few tables inside but be prepared to wait. When it was peak rush hour, there were two lines inside, one for the bathroom and one to place an order. Even though they were so slammed, the staff couldn't be friendlier. Our waitress in particular came by often to see how we were doing. Parking lot also filled up. We parked in the Mystic train station and then walked over.

They seated us right away! I love the vibes of the place, it's beautiful and inviting, but not pretentious. Our waitress was the best. She knew it was our anniversary and gave us a little bubbly to toast to. We also made it for happy hour (5 pm - 6 pm on weekdays, and 5 pm - 6 pm on weekends only at the bar)! All the small plates on the left side of the menu were half off! We immediately ordered drinks (the $10 happy hour cocktail - a blackberry bourbon smash for my husband, and a mocktail for me). We then ordered the shishito peppers, 2 of the pickled beet deviled eggs, and the roasted oysters with chili oil. They came out super fast, and it was delicious. The shishitos had that great char flavor along with a great dipping sauce. You can never go wrong with deviled eggs. Then we decided to order the fried oysters and the bread with corn butter. The fried oysters were the star of the small plates. Cooked so well. Freshly fried, you bite into it and it was juicy and delicious on the inside. Just so good. The bread and butter? Ugh, my dream butter and bread. Just so delicious. The butter was slightly sweet from the corn and had flakes of sea salt on tip, making it the perfect sweet and salty combo. We also got the salad (local produce!), and our waitress knew we were sharing ao she had the kitchen put it on 2 plates. Such a great touch. The salad was fantastic. After eating lobster rolls for a day, this was a much needed salad. It was refreshing, bright, and light! For our main entrees, we got the seared local squid and the strip steak. It was INCREDIBLE. Everything had so much flavor. The squid was cooked well, wasnt chewy. Just delicious. The crispy rice was the BEST THING I HAVE EVER EATEN. I wish we could order bowls of it. My husband finished it, couldn't get enough of it. The steak was fantastic as well. The potato with the bearnise sauce was so dreamy. The little onions on the steak, all the little touches were so well done. We knew we had to get dessert. We got a scoop of the black raspberry ice cream, a scoop of corn and blueberry swirl ice cream, and the lavender honey panna cotta. Guys. You 100% must get dessert. The corn blueberry ice cream was unreal. I dont know how you get all that flavor into ice cream. They dont skimp on the honey on the panna cotta. And it went so well with the more mild panna cotta. The black raspberry was a little icy because they froze whole blackberries in it, but at least you know they were trying to make sure you got blackberries in there. With happy hour, the bill wasn't too bad. This was hands down our favorite meal of our week long road trip. I can't wait to come back. I would 100% make a detour to eat here. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly affected by the hostess, Mariah. When we arrived, we were seated directly next to another party in a restaurant that had many open tables. We politely asked if we could move to the adjacent table for a little more privacy. Mariah told us that table would be needed for a larger reservation, which we completely understood. However, just a few minutes later, another couple was seated at that very table. I have worked as a hostess myself and understand the importance of strategic seating and managing reservations. What was disappointing was being given an explanation that clearly wasn't accurate. When you are paying premium prices for a dining experience, you should also feel welcomed and comfortable. All the tables next to us remained empty yet we were privy to all the conversations so close to us (the small tables are very close together) Because of this interaction, we decided not to stay for dinner and instead had a few appetizers before leaving. It was unfortunate because the food was good and our server provided excellent service. With a more welcoming and honest greeting from the hostess, our experience could have been very different. And if your reply is you'd never go to a chain, there's probably not much more to discuss. I've quipped that I can't make an autobiographical movie because Todd Solondz would sue me for plagiarism but part of my founding narrative was an overly simplistic take on cities vs. rural areas. If Twitter existed when I was 14 my account would have been the most vitriolic assortment of anti-NYC videos. (California tumbles into the sea, that'll be the day I go back to Fresh Meadows). The beverages have been perfect and the service has been friendly every time. I certainly appreciate the existence of the outdoor seating even if I didn't choose it on this late-September excursion. Just like my local JC branch, the Yelp rating here is out-of-whack. As baristas are drawn into dumb political sagas and forced to comply with more corporate rules, I appreciate their hard work.
