my friend and I came here tuesday night and the hostess was also our waitress and was so accommodating! she really helped guide us through the menu and said that she even comes there to eat on her days off! Very impressive start. we ordered the kale salad, butternut squash ravioli and sausage rigatoni oh and ofc the complimentary SD bread with pepper spread & oil-- we thought every item we ordered was fab! The kale salad was rich with fresh ingredients, loved the crunch with the dressing ... please share your dressing ingredients for that cider vinaigrette... and the only caveat for me was the sausage was pretty heavy and I couldn't eat it all BUT the portion sizes are worth the pricing. Also, our waitress split our salad into two plates which was also so nice. really great service, so many menu options (I found it really hard to decide which is not a bad problem to have) and food was solid! would def recommend when visiting mystic!

My boyfriend and I had our Valentine's Day dinner here last night; it was delicious. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived (we were early) so we went to the bar for a drink. The bartender was attentive and made us two delicious martinis. The place itself is very pretty and cozy; it's got an upbeat, swanky vibe. We were seated at a cozy, corner four top table which was nice and gave us extra room. For dinner we had the meatballs, baked clams, rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe and homemade tomato fettuccine with mussels, scallops and lobster. Phenomenal experience- will definitely be back. I took one star away because my wine glass was very small and I prefer a large glass when drinking red wine.

Great place in Mystic, among a street with many other choices. The restaurant has a parking lot, is fairly modern and cozy inside. The bar area was a big hit on a Tuesday with a full crowd eating and drinking there. Several tables were full too. I attended on a business dinner, but it's certainly family oriented too. Service was good. We did wait a while for the bread, which comes out fresh. We also didn't have entree orders taken until after we started eating our appetizers. This could all be intended, so speak up if you're in more of a hurry. Their house Manhattan cocktail was good. Nice size pour and strong! Wine was great as well. All food was excellent too. The burrata appetizer was probably my last favorite as it only had half a burrata ball. Not much to share. The clams oreganata special was good - actual clams within each shell and bite...vs some places where you only taste breadcrumbs. The artichoke salad was excellent too. Really tasty! Cioppino was an amazingly flavorful spicy broth with seafood. If you like cioppino, get it here. The tomato fettuccine was nicely balanced with seafoods, including shelled lobster, though very creamy. If you're not into creamy sauces, get something else. Steaks were cooked to order, medium rare. Dessert was good too, but be aware that their affogato isn't a traditional one. They don't give you espresso to pour on top. They're just an espresso cream at the bottom, under ice cream. Overall, really nice place, experience and everyone was happy! Seafood lovers, meat lovers, and one vegetarian who raved about the roasted eggplant dish.

We had an incredible experience at this restaurant largely due to our wonderful server, Peggy. She provided excellent service, recommendations, took pics of our group, & anticipated our needs on a very busy Saturday night! The food & drinks were amazing! We had the whipped goat cheese, Caesar salad, polenta, seafood pasta, halibut and a delicious affogato. They were also able to make me a great pineapple mezcal margarita off menu. We look forward to returning!

It ended up taking over 45 minutes for our food to come out. During that time, we watched several other tables come in after us, get their food, and leave before we were even served. After our drinks were dropped off, our server never checked back in to update us on the delay. However she did check in after we got our food. I completely understand that things can get busy, but the restaurant was empty, and multiple staff members passed by our table without acknowledging us. Overall ambiance was very nice... the exposed brick, the cozy booths. But we won't be rushing back any time soon.

The brunch menu offers a nice assortment of options as we had one member in our party who had some eating restrictions. We started off with both raw and roasted oysters, both of which, we some of the best we have ever had. I love Shashuka. I've never had it with tomatillos. This version is now my favorite. I enjoyed the play between savory and acid. I chose my eggs to be prepared over easy expecting the yolks to add the desired richness that tomatillos can handle without overpowering their bite. What set this version apart for me was the addition of the pickled vegetables. They greatly complimented the tomatillos with their own sweetness and acidity that made for a well balanced bite. Others in our party felt similarly, that their meals were so flavorful and so well execucted that it made for a superb dining experience.

Think elevated steakhouse meets coastal charm, wrapped in a vibe that says, "Relax, you're about to eat very, very well." Let's start with the amuse bouche, because honestly, more restaurants should bring this level of ceremony to the table. A tiny, perfect bite that sets the tone -- thoughtful, flavorful, and just indulgent enough to make you lean back and say, "Oh, we're doing this tonight." The drink specials? Dangerous in the best possible way. Creative without being gimmicky, balanced, and clearly crafted by someone who knows their way around a shaker. You can tell they're not phoning it in -- these cocktails have personality. And then... the prime rib. The star. The reason you cancel your other dinner plans. Tender, deeply seasoned, and cooked with the kind of confidence that only comes from a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. Every slice feels like a small celebration. Service is top‑tier -- warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the night feel special. The staff strikes that perfect balance between polished and personable, and the whole place hums with a relaxed, upscale energy that makes you want to linger. Now, the one critique -- and it's a real one: no kids' menu. I love a good Wagyu moment, but a $28 Wagyu burger for a six‑year‑old feels... ambitious. Delicious, sure. Practical? Not so much. A couple kid‑friendly options would go a long way for families who want to enjoy a great meal without taking out a small loan for the under‑10 crowd. But even with that quirk, Jeramiah's absolutely earns its five stars. It's a standout dining experience -- thoughtful, flavorful, and confidently elevated without ever feeling pretentious. A must‑visit for anyone who appreciates great food, great service, and a night out that feels like an occasion. Cheers

In the interim I have only had two chowders that I would even put in the same league. Last night we had dinner here, and everything was excellent, the atmosphere was of course as wonderful as always. The only disappointment I had was the quality of the chowder has taken such a drastic turn. It was very onion heavy (my daughter thought maybe leeks) that I couldn't taste clam at all. It was also very thick and gluey. Lastly (and I know this is the luck of the ladle) if I got any actual clams, I didn't notice them. Clearly a lot is going right in that kitchen, but I think the head chef needs to go back to the drawing board on the chowder. For such an icon of a restaurant to be serving that chowder is a true shame.

After we finished dinner, we were asked if anyone wanted dessert. Some said yes. The waitress left which we assumed to get dessert menus. However after a rather long delay she returned and informed us that we couldn't have dessert because they had another reservation. At this point, we were only 20 minutes past our ALLOTED time. We left and agreed that was the last time we would ever go the Daniel Packer Inne. When the reservations were made we were not informed we were on a strict time limit. I really liked the ambiance of the space, it's quite comfortable and has a nautical aesthetic. We were sat in a cozy little corner by the window, a great spot for watching the bustling of the little seaside town. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the restaurant's offerings, noting in their introduction that the focus of the menu is on fresh local seafood, and that everything on the menu is freshly made in house. I was very eager to try a cup of the clam chowder for an appetizer since many other reviewers have said that it's some of the best they've ever tasted, and after trying it for myself I'm more than inclined to agree with them; it had a perfect consistency and excellent flavor. Boyfriend wanted the fried mozzarella so we got some of that, and that was pretty tasty as well. Boyfriend got the chicken parm sandwich for his meal and I got the fish and chips. I didn't end up trying the sandwich, but he said he liked it. My fish and chips plate was pretty good; the fish tasted just a tad under seasoned to me, however the flavorful tartar sauce helped with that and I could tell the fish itself was great quality. The hand cut fries were good, but I wasn't really a fan of the coleslaw. Overall we had a pleasant experience at The Mariner. A very good choice for fresh seafood and a relaxed vibe. I'm sure I'll be in town again at some point; if I come back to The Mariner, I'll make a point to get a bowl of the clam chowder instead of a cup, because that alone is absolutely worth returning for... but until then, I'll be dreaming about it.

Parking is across the street. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I wish they had brewed iced tea, but they said it only comes from the fountain. Ick! Ordered a bowl of clam chowder soup. Very creamy and good flavor. The clams seem to be gritty. Probably could use a good rinse before they are cooked. But overall, the flavor and consistency our clams and potatoes with each bite was nice. Ordered the cod sandwich with onion rings. The cod sandwich is quite large. Served on a brioche bun with tomatoes and lettuce and a lemon wedge It was served piping hot. The fish, although large and presentation was nice, it lacked flavor. The batter was not completely cooked toward the meat of the fish. You get your choice of side and we had onion rings. They were standard side, but cooked to perfection. Overall, I was pleased with this restaurant. I would give the ambience a five out of five, the weight staff service was five out of five and the food would be a solid four. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.
