my friend and I came here tuesday night and the hostess was also our waitress and was so accommodating! she really helped guide us through the menu and said that she even comes there to eat on her days off! Very impressive start. we ordered the kale salad, butternut squash ravioli and sausage rigatoni oh and ofc the complimentary SD bread with pepper spread & oil-- we thought every item we ordered was fab! The kale salad was rich with fresh ingredients, loved the crunch with the dressing ... please share your dressing ingredients for that cider vinaigrette... and the only caveat for me was the sausage was pretty heavy and I couldn't eat it all BUT the portion sizes are worth the pricing. Also, our waitress split our salad into two plates which was also so nice. really great service, so many menu options (I found it really hard to decide which is not a bad problem to have) and food was solid! would def recommend when visiting mystic!

My boyfriend and I had our Valentine's Day dinner here last night; it was delicious. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived (we were early) so we went to the bar for a drink. The bartender was attentive and made us two delicious martinis. The place itself is very pretty and cozy; it's got an upbeat, swanky vibe. We were seated at a cozy, corner four top table which was nice and gave us extra room. For dinner we had the meatballs, baked clams, rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe and homemade tomato fettuccine with mussels, scallops and lobster. Phenomenal experience- will definitely be back. I took one star away because my wine glass was very small and I prefer a large glass when drinking red wine.

Great place in Mystic, among a street with many other choices. The restaurant has a parking lot, is fairly modern and cozy inside. The bar area was a big hit on a Tuesday with a full crowd eating and drinking there. Several tables were full too. I attended on a business dinner, but it's certainly family oriented too. Service was good. We did wait a while for the bread, which comes out fresh. We also didn't have entree orders taken until after we started eating our appetizers. This could all be intended, so speak up if you're in more of a hurry. Their house Manhattan cocktail was good. Nice size pour and strong! Wine was great as well. All food was excellent too. The burrata appetizer was probably my last favorite as it only had half a burrata ball. Not much to share. The clams oreganata special was good - actual clams within each shell and bite...vs some places where you only taste breadcrumbs. The artichoke salad was excellent too. Really tasty! Cioppino was an amazingly flavorful spicy broth with seafood. If you like cioppino, get it here. The tomato fettuccine was nicely balanced with seafoods, including shelled lobster, though very creamy. If you're not into creamy sauces, get something else. Steaks were cooked to order, medium rare. Dessert was good too, but be aware that their affogato isn't a traditional one. They don't give you espresso to pour on top. They're just an espresso cream at the bottom, under ice cream. Overall, really nice place, experience and everyone was happy! Seafood lovers, meat lovers, and one vegetarian who raved about the roasted eggplant dish.

We had an incredible experience at this restaurant largely due to our wonderful server, Peggy. She provided excellent service, recommendations, took pics of our group, & anticipated our needs on a very busy Saturday night! The food & drinks were amazing! We had the whipped goat cheese, Caesar salad, polenta, seafood pasta, halibut and a delicious affogato. They were also able to make me a great pineapple mezcal margarita off menu. We look forward to returning!

We were seated at a lovely table for two overlooking Main Street - watching people stroll by from that elevated perch behind glass felt almost cinematic. The real star of the show was the food, which is ultimately what you're there for, and it delivered. The menu offers plenty of options without being overwhelming. I started with the Crispy Pig's Head as an appetizer - a bold choice that turned out to be outstanding. For my entrée, the bucatini with seacoast mushrooms, sherry, parmesan, mushroom cream, and fine herbs was perfectly cooked, and carried a subtle but deeply flavorful sauce. And the housemade sourdough with poblano honey butter? Absolutely outstanding. To be fair, our server took a little time to warm up but found their footing and gave us everything we needed. Parking in Mystic on a busy weekend night can also be a challenge and expensive. Neither is reason enough to skip this one. Ship Wright's Daughter is exactly the kind of restaurant Mystic deserves. Think elevated steakhouse meets coastal charm, wrapped in a vibe that says, "Relax, you're about to eat very, very well." Let's start with the amuse bouche, because honestly, more restaurants should bring this level of ceremony to the table. A tiny, perfect bite that sets the tone -- thoughtful, flavorful, and just indulgent enough to make you lean back and say, "Oh, we're doing this tonight." The drink specials? Dangerous in the best possible way. Creative without being gimmicky, balanced, and clearly crafted by someone who knows their way around a shaker. You can tell they're not phoning it in -- these cocktails have personality. And then... the prime rib. The star. The reason you cancel your other dinner plans. Tender, deeply seasoned, and cooked with the kind of confidence that only comes from a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. Every slice feels like a small celebration. Service is top‑tier -- warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the night feel special. The staff strikes that perfect balance between polished and personable, and the whole place hums with a relaxed, upscale energy that makes you want to linger. Now, the one critique -- and it's a real one: no kids' menu. I love a good Wagyu moment, but a $28 Wagyu burger for a six‑year‑old feels... ambitious. Delicious, sure. Practical? Not so much. A couple kid‑friendly options would go a long way for families who want to enjoy a great meal without taking out a small loan for the under‑10 crowd. But even with that quirk, Jeramiah's absolutely earns its five stars. It's a standout dining experience -- thoughtful, flavorful, and confidently elevated without ever feeling pretentious. A must‑visit for anyone who appreciates great food, great service, and a night out that feels like an occasion. Cheers

The staff members are always welcoming and the aura of the visitors -since we became a nation seem ever-present. Bravo DPI... See you soon. On a visit to Mystic, I could not wait to find a restaurant that served more seafood than I could easily settle on. Sitting in the Mystic Marriott lobby, yelp pointed us to the Captain Daniel Packer Inne. What a find. Although the building was restored in 1979, it's origin dates to 1756. Everything seems to have been preserved -including the aura. As you would expect with a building older than the signing of the Declaration of Independence, it is small in size but large in hospitality. Without reservations, we did not stand much of a chance in the upstairs dinning area, but a flight of stairs down to the pub in the cellar... and we were seated in 20 minutes. For appetizers, we had the phyllo dough lobster lollipops and an order of artichoke hearts that were resting in a light lobster sauce (the artichoke that is) that invited us to soak up what was left with the delicious homemade bread we were served. For our main course we had the halibut steak that was sitting on top of freshly mashed potatoes with a smattering of fresh corn kernels. The customer service attendants were mindful of their tables and visited at opportune times. -Not when you start to take a bite and never did we wonder where they might have gone off to. Parking was a bit of a challenge but by far worth the hunt. If you are looking for a very friendly restaurant with a historical beginning and great food... Look no further. The building itself is gorgeous with thick beams and great finishes. It's a beautiful place even if it is a little tight. With that said, we had a party of 10 and had reservations in advance. Parking is always tricky, but we got a good spot in the lot and were very happy. The wait for the table was maybe 10 minutes which was not too bad. The waitress was very good and she took care of our water, drinks, and bread right away. The place was busy but we really were pleased with the service! I ordered the fish and chips. Most of the table ordered a steak, veggie, and mashed potatoes. Truffle fries was the appetizer that landed on my end of the table. They were not my favorite. Those who had the steak seemed happy with the meal. Both of us who had the fish and chips were not happy with the meal. We had fish and chips at Steak Loft the night before- and they did not compare. They were perfect. The order I had at Daniel Packard were heavy and filling but I was missing the light tempura batter, the crunch and soft fresh fish, and the great tartar sauce that is the standard for fish and chips! I didn't take my leftovers which is not the norm for me. I'll swing by in the winter for a pint in front of the fire no doubt, but I think another dinner is not in my future.

They were fresh and went down smoothly. The mignonette that was served with it was interesting. It seemed to have some sort of orange juice incorporated, but who knows. It was not bad. I preferred the cocktail sauce and horseradish provided. The mussels came in a coconut lemongrass broth with chili, cilantro, and lime. These were some of the freshest mussels I had in a while. It was noticeable to me from the feel and taste. The coconut lemongrass broth was a nice compliment and very flavorful. The burger was a quarter pound smash patty with cheddar cheese, umami mayo, lettuce, pickles, and white onion. This was cooked ideally to a medium-medium rare temperature. The bread was the key as it held the toppings and was of good ratio. The pickle was nicely folded and placed where it was not hanging off the burger. It was a little sweet, but not a big deal. Will I go back? Definitely.
