One of my favorite places to grab breakfast when in Mystic... If you can get a table outside do it. The view is nice and you can see the boats floating by. It's basic breakfast with some twists and tons of options. The staff is great most have been with the restaurant for quite a while. It's a little off the beaten up ath but Worth a visit.

Loved this breakfast spot! It was kinda hidden and had a great water view. Loved the lobster benny and the blueberry mascarpone pancake special! Would definitely suggest as a good breakfast spot to go to in the area and called ahead which was helpful!

Such a great breakfast spot. Now located in a marina. A larger Location than the old one. With outdoor and indoor seating of the marina. Everything is fresh and tasty. The place gets packed so there could be a wait but it moves fast. Cinnamon roll French toast is a must if you have a sweet tooth.

Glad I finally made it. Tried to go Sat and there was an electrical wire down that closed the one road there. I had better luck on Sunday. Arrived around 930am to a 30 min wait. It's a popular place. Everyone was friendly and welcoming- I noticed the host briefly stopping at tables to chat with guests by name as he returned to the host stand after seating diners. I figured they were regulars- but then he stopped at my table a few times and checked in with me, using my name. I was impressed. It was very busy but service was excellent. My eggs Benny and the side of fruit were delicious- got biscuits and sausage gravy to go. Huge menu selection. My server brought me a 'to go' cup with lid when she noticed I hadn't finished my iced tea. Little things like that matter. Cute place- would definitely go back. Highly recommend if you're in the Mystic area. Plenty of free parking.

Kitchen Little is that ol' reliable that is always packed. Why? Because the only other breakfast joint in Mystic is the Mystic Diner. (Sift is phenomenal but I have a hard time classifying it as a breakfast joint.) It has a large, finely tuned menu with the occasional standout special. But while one walks away full, the flavors aren't that memorable. Service is typically fast, courteous, and with a focus on getting folks out the door to address the growing line outside. Thankfully they have some seating outside that overlooks the marina, which on a nice day is the place to sit.

This place was as good as everyone else has written. Although it's not to say that some groups may have had not as good a time. The vibe is cool. It's a small restaurant and does have outdoor seating (although methinks some are saved for regulars. And rightly so!) Service was great. We chatted for awhile with our server (maybe too much ). Food was really good--really crispy bacon and the jalepeno hash browns, yum. Only objection came from the cinnamon swirl pancakes. My kid thought they were on the small side. My lobster benedict was delicious. Anything is better with more lobster but it was enough. The plate could have benefitted with a small salad or microgreens. Would definitely return!

Such a hidden gem in the Mystic Marina. As a tourist traveling to Boston we asked for recommendations and got this from our waiter. He said it's a "locals only" The menu is overwhelmingly delicious. We had the #8 and 18. Super delicious No Bad Days is a great way to do business

The regular menu looked creative and appetizing as well. I had their daily oyster ($1.50 each), mussels ($10), and their cutie smash burger ($9). The oysters were from sixpenny on the day I attended. They were fresh and went down smoothly. The mignonette that was served with it was interesting. It seemed to have some sort of orange juice incorporated, but who knows. It was not bad. I preferred the cocktail sauce and horseradish provided. The mussels came in a coconut lemongrass broth with chili, cilantro, and lime. These were some of the freshest mussels I had in a while. It was noticeable to me from the feel and taste. The coconut lemongrass broth was a nice compliment and very flavorful. The burger was a quarter pound smash patty with cheddar cheese, umami mayo, lettuce, pickles, and white onion. This was cooked ideally to a medium-medium rare temperature. The bread was the key as it held the toppings and was of good ratio. The pickle was nicely folded and placed where it was not hanging off the burger. It was a little sweet, but not a big deal. Will I go back? Definitely.

We were seated at a lovely table for two overlooking Main Street - watching people stroll by from that elevated perch behind glass felt almost cinematic. The real star of the show was the food, which is ultimately what you're there for, and it delivered. The menu offers plenty of options without being overwhelming. I started with the Crispy Pig's Head as an appetizer - a bold choice that turned out to be outstanding. For my entrée, the bucatini with seacoast mushrooms, sherry, parmesan, mushroom cream, and fine herbs was perfectly cooked, and carried a subtle but deeply flavorful sauce. And the housemade sourdough with poblano honey butter? Absolutely outstanding. To be fair, our server took a little time to warm up but found their footing and gave us everything we needed. The staff members are always welcoming and the aura of the visitors -since we became a nation seem ever-present. Bravo DPI... See you soon. On a visit to Mystic, I could not wait to find a restaurant that served more seafood than I could easily settle on. Sitting in the Mystic Marriott lobby, yelp pointed us to the Captain Daniel Packer Inne. What a find. Although the building was restored in 1979, it's origin dates to 1756. Everything seems to have been preserved -including the aura. As you would expect with a building older than the signing of the Declaration of Independence, it is small in size but large in hospitality. Without reservations, we did not stand much of a chance in the upstairs dinning area, but a flight of stairs down to the pub in the cellar... and we were seated in 20 minutes. For appetizers, we had the phyllo dough lobster lollipops and an order of artichoke hearts that were resting in a light lobster sauce (the artichoke that is) that invited us to soak up what was left with the delicious homemade bread we were served. For our main course we had the halibut steak that was sitting on top of freshly mashed potatoes with a smattering of fresh corn kernels. The customer service attendants were mindful of their tables and visited at opportune times. -Not when you start to take a bite and never did we wonder where they might have gone off to. Parking is always tricky, but we got a good spot in the lot and were very happy. The wait for the table was maybe 10 minutes which was not too bad. The waitress was very good and she took care of our water, drinks, and bread right away. The place was busy but we really were pleased with the service! I ordered the fish and chips. Most of the table ordered a steak, veggie, and mashed potatoes. Truffle fries was the appetizer that landed on my end of the table. They were not my favorite. Those who had the steak seemed happy with the meal. Both of us who had the fish and chips were not happy with the meal. We had fish and chips at Steak Loft the night before- and they did not compare. They were perfect. The order I had at Daniel Packard were heavy and filling but I was missing the light tempura batter, the crunch and soft fresh fish, and the great tartar sauce that is the standard for fish and chips! I didn't take my leftovers which is not the norm for me. I'll swing by in the winter for a pint in front of the fire no doubt, but I think another dinner is not in my future.

Haring's has a terrific, classic New England location in Noank right along the Mystic Harbor. It's a touch north of Abbot's, and is where Ford's used to be. Our family was on a boat and looking to dock for lunch. The Captain's first choice for lunch did not have dock parking available, and I recommended Harings based on social media posts. The Harings employee who helped us dock was very nice, helpful and hard working. He was probably the high point of our experience. We were told that since he had a boat, we would have to eat on our boat and they would come to the boat and take our order when it was our turn. From the point we were told that, here was our experience. Nobody came to take our order for about 45 minutes. I went to the desk and they apologized and sent someone to take our order. She was friendly and helpful. We were told it would take about 30 minutes to get our food. It took longer. A boat that docked about 30 minutes after us had their order taken within about 15 minutes, and they received their food 10 minutes before I had to complain that we still hadn't received any of our food. The person I spoke with was friendly and our food arrived soon after I said something. The food, which was not inexpensive, was not spectacular. Certain items were not delivered. My son said his fries were not warm and were undercooked, and his $18 chicken sandwich was much smaller than cheaper sandwiches he normally orders. The people who ordered hot lobster rolls said they were OK. At this point, so much time had passed, that we did not have time for them to correct these issues. I ordered the Bisquets and Gravy, which was a 1/2 pound of lobster, lobster bisque and cheddar biscuits. The bisque was average. It could have been better seasoned. There was a lot of lobster, but at least some bites were overcooked. The lobster wasn't well seasoned either. The highlight of my food was the oysters, which was a substitute for the scallop crudo they had run out of after I ordered. I have the sense that the people who helped us, wanted to provide good service. It just seemed like the structure of the service was disorganized, and you never knew if they had forgotten you or that was just the normal lag. I ultimately concluded it was mostly that they had forgotten about us. The location is fantastic. Perhaps the food is better when the business is less steady. I did not see enough in this visit to return. This was probably my least favorite New England water side food experience in years. Especially at this price point. 2.25 Stars
