Went to Noah's in Stonington back in 2022, not the same. It was on Saturday in April 2026. Was offered only the bar area. The hostess was very nice and all smiles, that was the positive, however, it all went downhill from there when she said there were no tables in the lighted area by the windows, only the bar was available, which was very dark. We ate the breakfast back in 2022, and it was very good, so we thought to give it a try anyways. The thing that upset us the most was that those other tables did not get occupied at all. They were holding seats, but they still were not occupied. The hostess said there was a waiting list, however, even after we left, those couple of tables did not get occupied. There was room for us. On to the food which was mediocre. Unfortunately, I was sick after. The bread was dry, flavorless, even the challah French toast was dry. Not like it used to be. We felt as if non locals are not that welcomed and the tables were being kept open for only the locals. It was very unfortunate, since it used to be a very welcoming place with excellent breakfast entrees. It is very unfortunate. I hope they take the above review seriously - there is much room for improvements. read more

Noah's is absolutely my favorite locally made dessert dining establishment. It's a super quaint 1970s built establishment on Water Street in stonington burrough that has that cheers vibe.. You know...where everyone knows your name!! That is honestly one of the most enticing things about stopping here for a coffee and a dessert. You just never know who you'll sit down next to and strike up a conversation with. (I do recommend sitting at the bar and taking part in good old fashioned face to face conversations. Something so liberating about relating to people of all walks of life, if I do say so myself) While they offer brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, drinks, as well as desserts, I often think of Noah's as the best desserts in the entire burrough of stonington. They hand make the Desserts right on property and are always being updated on their website. Stopped in for a drink...amazing service at the bar! Old 19th century vibe with great bourbon selection and some craft cocktails mixed in. I had the "what the Fig?" Fig Brandy, Apple brandy, chartreuse, and lemon. Very well balanced. Loved the drink, but it's seasonal so get it while you can. My uncle got the buffalo trace and coke. I would never mix coke with such a good bourbon with anything, but the flavor was actually amazing! read more

Returning from a visit with relatives in Maine, my companion and I overnighted in Mystic, Connecticut. The next morning, after checking out of our hotel, we spent a few pleasant hours strolling about the Mystic Seaport Museum before paying a call at Noah's Restaurant in nearby Stonington. Highly recommended by a friend, we thought this would be the perfect spot to enjoy a casual light lunch before heading back to Pennsylvania. Making its debut in 1979, Noah's has become something of a Stonington institution. Located on the corner of Church and Water Streets, the restaurant is domiciled in two adjoining storefronts, one given over to a convivial horseshoe-shaped bar, the other to a pleasant dining area. Homey & Comfortable are the words that best describe the scene; and I sense this the moment we cross the threshold and behold the profusion of meetings and greetings. It's quite apparent that the lunchtime crowd here is comprised almost entirely of locals - on this particular occasion, it appeared that we were the only out of towners in the house - which is usually a good sign. Certain segments of the menu change on a daily basis. The day of our visit, for example, there were possibilities ranging from Turkey & Brie Sub to Grilled New York Strip Steak, Seafood Spaghetti, and Pan-Roasted Monkfish. Then, of course, there's also an assortment of Appetizers, Salads, House Made Noodles, Hamburgers & Sandwiches, and an interesting number of make-your-own Boro Bowls. Of particular interest to us, however, was the section of the menu celebrating Oktoberfest. Included were such substantial entrées as Sauerbraten with spaetzle & braised red cabbage and House-Made Pork Schnitzel with vegetable & mashed potatoes... both of which we deemed a tad on the heavy side for a "casual light" lunch. We settled on the choice of Wurst(s). And, interestingly enough, we both decided on the Bratwurst, which was poached in beer and served with German potato salad, juniper apple kraut, and ramekin of zippy mustard. The dish came in two portion sizes... We both ordered the diminutive version. The shared dessert - Blueberry Pie garnished with vanilla ice cream - was something of a mixed bag. I enjoyed the flavor and consistency of the pie, my companion did not. The real problem, however, was the crust, which was so hard and unyielding that it was almost impossible to cut, even with a knife. Bottom Line: My companion and I really did enjoy Noah's laid-back, casual ambiance... but we were also in agreement that the food (at least what we sampled) could have been a good deal better. read more

This is the second time we've tried to get into this restaurant fortunately it was a weekday late afternoon, so it was relatively quiet. And also fortunate for us, we were able to catch the happy hour. Had a delicious Pilsner and two sets of chicken wings with different sauces and my partner had chicken salad entrée. We both thought the Food and Service were exceptional. Highly recommend them will be back very soon. read more

I took my daughter there for brunch recently and ordered tomato salad (olive oil, tomatoes, mozz cheese & basil). We gave me a plate with 1 small tomato cut up and 4-5 small mozz balls with oil and the cost was $15 !!! They don't even give you bread to soak up the oil. Definitely not worth it. There are plenty of other places in the area that offer better selection, food and better prices. The seating in the dining room was uncomfortable too. read more

My family has thoroughly enjoyed EVERY meal at Noah's including tonight's 32nd birthday celebration of our twins. As anticipated, Noah's exceeded our expectations. Our waitress really paid close attention while three of us waited for the arrival of a fourth. Without question, the balance between ordering time(s) and arrival of the course's were impeccable. As was the food. No doubt. We happily look forward to our next meal at Noah's. read more

The host and bartender were rude and untimely in service. We had waited for 10 minutes after being seated (no water or specials offered). It was low volume guests, and after no service, our party of 3 decided to leave. Upon myself handing the menus to the host, I was berated by the host due to us leaving after lack of service. He stated, 'good, because I have better guests to seat there anyway'. I am appalled at the lack of customer service and disrespect exhibited by this establishment. I have been a local for 30 years and have never received such horrid behavior, though this is not the first time for Noah's from what I've heard. We went to Breakwater instead where service and food were excellent. read more

Wow! We had the best date night sitting at the bar here. The bartender Ryan was kind and made perfectly balanced drinks. I loved that all the locals know and love him. The ambiance here is like a pub/tavern and the food is elevated American classics as well as lighter/healthier options. I had the Messy Dan Burger. It was so good we ordered a second. I wish that was a joke but it's not. Can't wait to come back! read more

Dinner for 4 here about a week ago. Very pleasant experience. This is a "modest" restaurant: modest size, modest menu, unpretentious interior. We came here because the wait wasn't too bad. We sat at the bar for about 30 minutes until our table was ready and had an adult beverage; very friendly atmosphere and the staff are really nice to deal with. The dining room is not large, but tastefully decorated. The table bread is very good, I had to avoid overeating it. I split an order of mussels with a companion, they were perhaps lightly undercooked. They tasted wonderful, but perhaps I am used to my mussels being overcooked, as I was a bit concerned that it could be an issue. Pretty much everyone at our table had the scallops (see photo). They were perfectly done, and the sides complemented them beautifully. I'd go back in a heartbeat if I didn't live several thousand miles away! read more

Had a great meal here! Came around 6 pm on a Saturday evening and they didn't have a table for 3 but we were able to eat at the bar. The bartender was great and very nice and prompt. I ordered the corn for an appetizer and I loved it. The chipotle sauce was so delicious with the cheese. Then I ordered the bowl. It was great to be able to customize it. Very fresh and good sauces to tie the bowl together. The bowl was also a very good size and I was very full afterwards. The inside is very cozy. Overall a great experience! read more

Went to Noah's at the suggestion of many. The place is adorable. Very quaint. We sat at the bar. The service was slow, at best. We were there for two hours. We immediately ordered drinks and the homemade guacamole. It came out 20ish minutes later. It was ok but lacked seasoning. Homemade chips were good. I had the house salad with salmon. The lady next to me has the shrimp salad and wasn't impressed so I changed my choice. It was a solid 5 out of 10. My friend had the lettuce wraps. The lettuce was weird. Not Romain like you normally see but a big spinach leaf- it appears that couldn't hold the meat. She said the meet was seasoned well and tasted good. Nothing here wow'd us! Went for brunch on a Sunday. Made a reservation the previous Tuesday morning. Person answering the phone was unorganized. Kept putting the receiver down to go do something else. After waiting for her to come back I finally hung up and called again. She took my name and number of guests for brunch that Sunday. When we arrived they did not have a reservation for us. We had to wait for a table in the bar to open. Food was horrible. Popovers were burnt to the point you could not eat them. I ordered the Avocado toast and it was not as described on the menu. The Avocado was not smashed but sliced on top of a piece of white bread which was not even toasted! Others in the party said their home fries were way over cooked. I would not recommend going here for Brunch and we will not be returning. read more

I have never had a bad meal at Noah's. The burgers are always juicy. You can never go wrong with the fresh linguine. The service is always amazing as well as the food. There are oysters are always plump and fresh. The mussels of the moment are a must. Pro tip go during happy hour you can't beat the happy hour prices. We were on our short visit to the little beautiful Stonington town and were feeling cold on a rainy day in December. We came across Noah's while driving through the tiny streets and decided to take a break and have a cup of coffee. But surprise!! It was happy hour. And surprise again!!! They had oysters on the menu. No-brainer! I had the raw oysters and also the baked ones. Both were good. I liked the raw ones more. The problem with the baked ones was too much bread crumbs. But both of them were fresh and delicious!! They have a nice menu and everybody in the restaurant appeared happy. The menu is a bit pricey. Do visit if you are in town, especially if it's happy hour. read more

We hadn't been to Noah's in years, and decided to go last night. Maybe it should have been a warning sign that when we walked in at 6:30 it was only about half full. The waiter was prompt, but I was surprised by the lack of premium brand liquor. We had the guacamole which was flavorless even though full of too large hunks of onion and tomatoes. I had the scallops and my husband had the pork chop which were both unremarkable. The brussel sprouts were, however, perfectly cooked. Cute restaurant in a row of quaint homes and businesses. Food was wonderful and the service was excellent We were warmly greeted on our arrival and were seated immediately. We had a cup of corn chowder....fresh and excellent, I had the scallops they were YUMMY and my sister had a burger that was perfectly cooked and delicious. I hate to do this, I really do, but our dinner last night at Noah's was simply not good. It's a cute little spot but it needs a lot of love. My cloth napkin was ripped, the salt and pepper grinder filthy and cracked. Mostly, the food not good. My pork chop special was flavorless. I don't think they even used salt and pepper before they prepared it. The spackle was mushy and flavorless. My minestrone soup didn't even look like minestrone soup no less taste like it. And what restaurant only has two selections of vodka nowadays? My wife's meal was no better. Neither or us finished our meals. The service was very good however. Our waiter was attentive, and the food came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, Noah's was a disappointment. Maybe the kitchen was having a bad day. read more
