Note currently soft opening with bar and patio seating with full dining room to open shortly so stay tuned!! Great new place to enjoy some good eats and drinks in Mystic!!! Christy was amazing at the bar slinging drinks for large parties and taking care of the bar area as well. Very friendly and professional interactions from the whole staff which was great! Good selection of beer, wine and liquor to choose from. Menu has a bit of everything to keep everyone appeased! The hot honey chicken sandwich was great and service was fast! Great atmosphere with music in the background able to still have conversations easily! Looking forward to coming again when dining room opens to fully experience the newest establishment in the waterfront!!

4.5 stars! Jeremiah's tavern has great food and great vibes. The tavern is below the restaurant where the outside patio is. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Drinks were yummy and the service was great with friendly staff. The area downstairs is small so it can get loud, especially because there's a bar down there as well, so just be aware if you're looking for something on the quiet side. Perk is that they have their own little parking lot (a few spots) but still a win in Mystic! Definitely recommend.

Was there for their soft opening and the food was great. Best clam chowder and crispy oysters that I have had.

Beer'd Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Stonington, Connecticut in November 2012…read more It was founded by husband and wife Aaron Simoncini and Precious Putnam. After enrolling in a class entitled "Beers of the World" in college, Simoncini became very interested in craft beer and soon began homebrewing. It was during this time that he gained the nickname "Beer'd". Eventually with his now-wife Putnam, Simoncini set out to open his own brewery. The couple set up shop at the Velvet Mill in Stonington. The historic building was originally home to the American Velvet Company, which operated from 1892 to 1996. Today it is a multipurpose building that is home to a thriving community of small businesses and artist studios. When Beer'd originally opened in the mill, they had just a 100-barrel system. The brewery quickly became notable for their small-batch high quality IPAs. In 2018, Beer'd opened a secondary facility at the Airport Business Park in Groton. This new 12,000-sq-ft space expanded their production capacity to 6,000 barrels. An adjoining 60-seat taproom (dubbed "Beer'd Brewing @ The Silo") opened at the Groton facility in January 2020. To differentiate the two taprooms, the original location in Stonington is now often referred to as "Beer'd Brewing @ The Mill". I first visited Beer'd in 2013 (when they were just one of a small handful of breweries in Connecticut), and I've been a huge fan of their beer ever since. They are one of my favorite Connecticut breweries and I have visited them multiple times; they were even a stop on my brewery bus tour bachelor party. I also must point out that Aaron and Precious are lovely people. I recently stopped there while I was in the area. It had been a while since my last visit and there were a few changes. In addition to the original taproom, Beer'd has set up an indoor beer garden in the center of the Velvet Mill. Patrons can enjoy some beer paired with food from one of the mill's many food vendors. Beer'd also set up a designated "Dog Den" for patrons to enjoy a beer if they have furry friends. During this visit, I enjoyed a taster flight that featured "8 Days A Week" (Pale Ale), "Stunner For the Win" (New England IPA), "An Unexpected Upgrade" (Double IPA), and "Heavy Weight-Of-Sound" (Triple IPA). They were all excellent! I plan to continue enjoying Beer'd beers for years to come!

I tried a couple of beers but none of them were good. I finally settled on an IPA but found myself…read moreonly able to drink half of it. Love the logo though, but the beer was just not good. Wanted to like this place as the logo looks like me but just couldn't :(

I'm a sucker for historic architecture so this is awesome. They brew their beers in house and also offer beers from other places. There also have wine and seltzers for the non beer lovers. I am a fan of sours so I had one of their sour beers (forgot the name) it was okay, it was extra sour, too sour. My husband enjoyed their IPAs. Also, we had some house made potato chips and a hot dog. Those were decent; I just wished they offered a dip for those chips! Hummus or something like that? We sat outside on a balmy June day. They had a few tables and our server was great. It's a nice spot to people watch too. Inside was large and spacious. There was a long line to the restrooms though, popular place. Overall, a cool space for some drinks and snacks; I definitely would go back and try out more food and beers.

Nothing out of this world but good enough to have a few pours before heading over to mystic pizza. Service was prompt and efficient, but not overly friendly. Where we unfortunately went wrong was eating here. Cheap fry oils and sloppy sandos that give bar food a bad reputation. I'm not sure why I expected more, but it fell short on freshness, flavor and creativity especially given today's modern brewpub scene. With a plethora of great restaurants in the area, next time I'd probably have drinks here then head to dinner elsewhere.

I was surprised I had…read morenever heard of it because it's a Craft Pretzel and Beer Bar, and that's a unique concept for CT. They have pretzels with dips, gourmet stuffed pretzels, pretzel sandwiches, wings, tenders and fish and chips. The bar was decorated for Christmas and they were serving special holiday drinks in fun Christmas themed mugs. I had the Christmasaurus in a red ceramic dinosaur and my wife had a Butter Rum Mocktail in a winking Santa mug. My drink was tasty and the mugs were fun. We bought a couple of the fun mugs to go. A person who I believe was the owner and the chef, was wearing a Christmas sweater and obviously loves the Christmas theme. Our server who doubled as the bartender was a bit more stoic about the theme. LOL. The food was generally good. It seemed like the pretzels may have picked up another aroma from the kitchen while the pretzels were cooking, because they had a slight aftertaste. Manageable, but not ideal. The pretzels looked great and had good texture. The beer cheese dip and mustard dip were both good. My pretzel stuffed with Mac and Cheese and short rib was good. We also split some holiday snack mix and Carolina BBQ wings. They were probably my favorite part of the meal. 4 Stars. The Hop Knot is definitely a place to check out. I understand that there used to be one in Middletown, CT and one in New Hampshire, although I'm unclear on the relation to the present owners in Portland.
