I have been here a couple of times for the happy hour 4-6 when the oysters are half price and freshly shucked to order. Plus there is a HR menu as well as the regular menu to choose from. The restaurant has several rooms, a bar, an open kitchen and sushi bar. The art work and blown glass display are particularly nice. Both the service and the food selections are outstanding. I had oysters and a sampling of sushi while enjoying a bottle of wine with my bff. They were very good. There is plenty of on site parking too.

Five of us had a wonderful evening at Go Fish. Creative and delicious Asian and Hawaiian inspired cocktails, sushi, appetizers and entrees. I'm Japanese and live in Hawaii so I'm usually pretty critical of restaurants serving sushi and Asian/Hawaiian dishes. We enjoyed the ahi, hamachi, hotate (scallop) and hirame (flounder) sushi along with gyoza dumplings and crab rangoon wontons appetizers. The raw seafood was fresh and delicately prepared. The dumplings and wontons cooked perfectly. Each of us really enjoyed our entree selections: drunken noodles, seared scallops, lobster fried rice, shrimp & veggie skewers and the halibut special. Each were deliciously seasoned and prepared perfectly. My drunken noodles was one of the best dishes I've had this year. A wonderful blend of Asian seasonings on the seafood and rice noodles. Prices are typical for Mystic restaurants of this quality. They currently have specials every day, as well as a happy hour (pau hana) menu! We'll be back for sure for happy hour and the Tuesday senior special.

This was our first time here and we used Yelp to find it. This is a gem of a restaurant! Excellent food and service, the ambiance has a bright inviting atmosphere. The sushi was fresh and amazing. Our server helped us with our choices and they were all delicious. This will be one of our go to places when in the area. Definitely recommended!

    - [ ] Food was good. I ordered the tempura crusted cod not realizing it was just a dramatized and fancy term for "fish and chips". The fried fish was good, tender and the batter it was fried in was tasty, it came with some scallion "Coleslaw" that had no dressing on it, it was dry, not sure if it was worth the price tag. Others ate the scallop plate which just consisted of 5 seared scallops snd nothing else, we ordered a side dish of rice. our waitress was kind enough to notify that the scallop dinner was moreso an "appetizer" than a dinner before we ordered. she wasn't ever exaggerating but you pay the price tag of dinner meal. The salmon dinner was tender, the asian noodles were very good. They also provided us some seasoned "crisps" to munch on while we waited for our food, tasted like nothing, not even sure what it was, felt like we were eating air.

While walking around the village we got hungry and decided to eat here. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and excellent. Their equivalent of a garden salad seemed pricey but was the best part of the meal-it was really big! The fish (fish n chips) batter was light, not greasy and the fish was flaky, fresh, and hot! Delish. The chips were meh, overcooked and didn't seem fresh (stale). Needed seasoning. Not a fan of this restaurant.

Came here for lunch the other day with the family as we were visiting Mystic. The restaurant is conveniently located in old Mystic next to all the shops and across from the aquarium. It is an inviting restaurant with nice seaside decor when entering. We were promptly seated in a booth when we arrived. They are doing a nice job with Covid precautions and even have built in dividers in the table areas which look quite nice (see photo) and as if they were always there. They have a children's menu with regular fare and my boys enjoyed their meals of chicken tenders and a cheeseburger. This is definitely a family friendly restaurant with many different indoor and outdoor seating options. My husband and I each got different lobster dishes and very much enjoyed them. I had the hot buttered lobster roll. It was flavored well and the lobster done nicely with just the right amount of meat. The lobster grilled cheese on sourdough was also good and full of lobster. Go Fish did no skimping on lobster here! I liked that I could choose between chips, fries, or a side salad with my roll. I opted for the salad. The only miss was the soups- they weren't bad but not great in that we would order them again. The lobster bisque had no lobster meat and the chowder while creamy lacked some flavor. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We would definitely visit Go Fish again when in the Mystic area. I would like to come for dinner and sample some sushi next time!

Miso Ramen Bowl. Flavorful, spiced broth. Delicious!

The Honey and I decided on lunch here after seeing the wait-line at the nearby diner and declining the "fast-food" pizza option. And we were glad we did! Considering the current health issues, we opted for the seating at the bar, where we were the second of two couples dining. We were greeted promptly, ordered our beverages and our lunch and sat back to relax. I ordered the Ramen Bowl (thinking of the excellent sushi bar here, I was sure it'll be a good choice). The Honey, the cod fish tacos, baked, not fried. Excellent choices both! We're definitely coming back!

After a long day at Mystic Aquarium I can't think of anywhere else I want to be! Go Fish is one of my absolute FAVORITE places to go! I absolutely LOVE the mixed drinks and seafood! Make sure that you always check the daily recommendations! Every time I come I have received the best service! I have to compliment the training staff as all employees are well trained with food allergies! i could tell they take them very seriously which is a huge relief. Also they were able to make recommendations and adjustments based on the allergies! A BIG thank you to the entire staff for always providing a constant top quality dining. You guys are just the best. I look forward to coming back again soon!

Visited the old mystic village and decided to give Go Fish a try. I was crossed between 2 dishes and one of Which was the waiters suggestion. The lobster grilled cheese was one. That had to have been the greatest grilled cheese I've ever tasted. It was fresh fish , the cheese was melted perfectly. It was truly heaven in a bite. It came with homemade potato chips which were okay, a bit to crunchy.

My friend knows much more about wine than I do, so he was the decision maker for our wine choices and we ordered a 1/2 bottle of red which we both found to be very delicious. Of course, we had to try some food too and the small bites menu was perfect with something to satisfy nearly every taste. We opted for the meat charcuterie, and it was beautifully presented with enough for the two of us to share. There is also a cheese charcuterie on the menu, but unfortunately there is not an option for a combined meat and cheese plate. We sat, sipped, and tasted for a while and never felt rushed. The atmosphere was so comfortable and we'll definitely consider going back here again.

I can browse a liquor store & pick out a bottle that exactly fits my preferences, my mood, & my budget. I can bring it home & uncork the wine, checking the cork for freshness. I can pull out my special glassware & pour myself a glass of wine & enjoy it on my own couch. So why go out to a wine bar, if not for the wine? For me, it's for the ambience & the experience. Both of those things at Providence Wine Bar were lacking. The lights were too bright (overhead & fluorescent) & the music was too loud (& just bad). The employees seemed both bored & nervous, with not much to do to occupy themselves. I was one of the only people in the bar, so I felt like I was under scrutiny - I'm certain this wasn't intentional but it was unfortunately how it came across. I brought a book but couldn't focus because of the lights & the music. I even caught myself with my fingers in my ears, trying to muffle the sounds of 2010s hyper pop. I have nothing against 2010s hyperpop, it's just that there's a time & place for everything, & maybe that isn't at a wine bar at 8 PM on a Wednesday. I just wanted to be done with my glass of wine so that I could leave. All of that being said, I wish them the best. It seems like they need a good manager's touch.

While the hotel offers several dining possibilities, there is no question in my mind that Coast is their culinary chef d'oeuvre. My dining partner and I found their New England-inspired cuisine to be not only beautifully presented but also absolutely delicious. Throw in an award-winning wine list, friendly & personable service, picturesque view of the Atlantic Ocean, and a most satisfying evening at table awaits. Be advised, however... What also awaits is a pretty hefty hit on your pocketbook, as our five-course prix-fixe Degustation Menu - with several choices included - was priced at $145.00 per person, plus beverages, tax & gratuity (there is also a similarly priced vegetarian menu). If you want to add the Reserve Wine Pairing, which I did, that will cost you an additional $125.00 per person (Grand Wine Pairing an additional $250.00 per person). Definitely not what you would call a cheap date. That being said, however, in my opinion - and that of my companion as well - dinner here is well worth the expenditure. Our first course was the Ninigret Pond Oyster "Pan Roast." Sourced from a local coastal lagoon that is linked to the Atlantic Ocean and Block Island Sound, Ninigret Pond is home to several reliable oyster purveyors. I must confess that I have never been an enthusiastic fan of bivalves in general - and raw oysters in particular. However, the pan-roasted representatives sampled here, smooth & buttery with a touch of sweetness and sprinkled with Royal Belgian Osetra Caviar, were quite good indeed. And the Ruinart Singulier 18th Edition, Blanc de Blancs, Brut Nature, Champagne, (France), proved to be the perfect libationary accompaniment. But even better was the outrageously delicious Bluefin Tuna Tartare. I have tasted this dish on numerous occasions; however, this particular incarnation was in a class all by itself. Gently caressed by avocado and kissed by golden kiwi and a beguiling carrot ginger reduction, the result was a presentation that was pleasing to both eye and palate, and a highlight of our evening. The 2019 Tegernseerhof Loibenberg Riesling Smaragd Wachau (Austria), of course, added immensely to the enjoyment. The next course presented us with a rather interesting conundrum... the choice between two equally appetizing possibilities. My dining companion, of course, went immediately for the Seared Scallops & Foie Gras. I, on the other hand, decided to side entirely with the carnivores... Kuro Farms Wagyu Strip Loin. Companioned by short rib, confit carrot, and Sicilian pistachios, this was a winner all the way... as was the wine selection, the 2020 Aslina "Umsasane," an enticing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot from Stellenbosch, South Africa. The dessert course was especially noteworthy, a Blackberry Sudachi Entremet aided and abetted by white chocolate mousse, lavender, and raw honey sponge. A rather unusual denouement, I must admit, but a lovely presentation and irresistibly scrumptious. And, once again, the wine selection - 2018 Domaine Huet Le Mont Moelleux, a Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, Touraine, in France's Loire Valley - was right on the money. The Bottom Line: An exceptionally fine dining experience. Pricey, to be sure... but, in my opinion, worth every penny. A restaurant to which my dining companion and I would gladly return. Highly recommended on all counts.

I really liked the ambiance of the space, it's quite comfortable and has a nautical aesthetic. We were sat in a cozy little corner by the window, a great spot for watching the bustling of the little seaside town. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the restaurant's offerings, noting in their introduction that the focus of the menu is on fresh local seafood, and that everything on the menu is freshly made in house. I was very eager to try a cup of the clam chowder for an appetizer since many other reviewers have said that it's some of the best they've ever tasted, and after trying it for myself I'm more than inclined to agree with them; it had a perfect consistency and excellent flavor. Boyfriend wanted the fried mozzarella so we got some of that, and that was pretty tasty as well. Boyfriend got the chicken parm sandwich for his meal and I got the fish and chips. I didn't end up trying the sandwich, but he said he liked it. My fish and chips plate was pretty good; the fish tasted just a tad under seasoned to me, however the flavorful tartar sauce helped with that and I could tell the fish itself was great quality. The hand cut fries were good, but I wasn't really a fan of the coleslaw. Overall we had a pleasant experience at The Mariner. A very good choice for fresh seafood and a relaxed vibe. I'm sure I'll be in town again at some point; if I come back to The Mariner, I'll make a point to get a bowl of the clam chowder instead of a cup, because that alone is absolutely worth returning for... but until then, I'll be dreaming about it.
