I got a Thai tea ($5), ramen ($18) with medium spicy, bao bun with pork($12) and a chicken karage($11). The apps came out in about 10 mins and then the main dish came out 10 mins after. The karage chicken was made fresh, very crispy and moist! The bao bun pork was really good, and it was served with a some type of soy sauce , unfortunately the double umami flavors didn't mesh to well, it said there should've been a hoisen sauce but I did not see it. That would've easily fix that dish and balanced it with a sweet and savory combo. The ramen was solid, egg was seasoned and cooked just right. The broth was good and mixed well with the chili oil. The pork was a good portion of meat with it being both lean and fatty in certain spots. Unfortunately I thought it was missing flavor/marinade, it was quite bland by itself. Overall very satisfied with the experience here, food was good and it stands out as Asian spot in this predominately seafood heavy area. What a great place! My girlfriend and I came here after walking through mystic for happy hour and we loved it! We got the pork gyoza and wings on the happy hour menu. The sauce on the wings were fantastic and the gyoza sauce was amazing. We got a second order of gyoza because they were so good! The staff were very nice and they served us quickly. The bar area was a nice intimate spot for us and they had the Bills game playing which was great entertainment! BLUF: There are some real highlights on the menu, but there's sneaky spicy elements everywhere. The restaurant has a clean, modern aesthetic. Also there's a large back room that would be great for a group. The wait staff are good at their job of being there when you need them and being elsewhere when you don't. The bathrooms are single person, so I'm not clear why they're gendered. We had a sushi tower and a happiness roll, plus some crab rangoons to start, and pineapple fried rice. Lately we've kind of given up on crab rangoons being worth the time, as most places forget that crab is in the name and will just serve you sweet cream cheese fried wontons. What a pleasant surprise, then, when the came out and were crabby and flavorful. The wonton wrappers were a little thick, thus chewy, but what is that when compared to the joy of finding a worthwhile crab rangoon again. The sushi tower was actually served on a tiered dish like I'm used to seeing your seafood towers, so it was visually striking. I have to say I was displeased to see spicy mayo on the rainbow roll. Who does that? Otherwise, everything was fresh, and large pieces of sashimi. The happiness roll is generously sized, but the ponzu sauce was a shrinking violet on the plate. As for the pineapple fried rice, that saved this review from being three stars. I don't even like fried rice and I was going back for more. You could be excused for just going here for this dish. While I'm unclear why things such a tonkatsu ramen and rainbow rolls are being made spicy, this is clearly a quality restaurant worthy of being visited. read more

Mystic can be a challenge to dine in, especially when in season. Bleu Ginger has enough open seating and fast enough turnaround on its service that it's a predictable and safe option. We just came by to check out the menu and ambiance. They did a great job with renovations. Place looks crisp and love the light colors. It was a Monday so it was quiet but staff was pleasant and answered all my questions. The menu looks great and I'll be back with a big group. I could say it was good, and it was, but the first time we came here it took 45 minutes before they even gave us our drinks. Not too bad though, they had really good food, and apparently the employees told us somebody had a medical problem in the back of the restaurant so that's why it took so long. So I guess I don't blame them if that's true, but I didn't even see firefighters or an ambulance or anything, not even any waiters walking around and helping. All I saw was a few waiters helping people at the bar and sitting on their phones, but whatever. I'm not particularly mad or upset that that happened, I was just really hungry and it kind of bothered me. The second time we came, I guess nobody had a medical emergency, because we got all our food within about 45 minutes, pretty good! It was a pretty good vibe in there, but there was a bunch of guys at the bar who were watching a soccer game and were being loud. I had to put my headphones on to block out their noise. He had asked for extra noodles and they arrived with a different kind from what's in the soup.. I was invited here by my favorite Mystic, influencer and friend Jean Michael. I've eaten here before, and I particularly like the pineapple fried rice. This place does not skimp out on serving sizes in each of the portions is quite generous. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in downtown Mystic. This place is really good for happy hour and one of the bartenders, AOT, has a signature roll named after himself, which you definitely need to try out if you are a sushi fan. Another wok item that I recommend you'd give a try is the signature salmon in their signature ginger sauce. Service is very friendly and attentive with a smile, and I've never eaten anything here that I didn't like. The inside is pretty modern, chic and with hints of maximalist decor. We stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, located in the heart of Mystic's downtown shopping and business district on West Main Street. We ordered garlic shrimp and salmon teriyaki. Both were nicely prepared and flavorful. Salmon was fresh and nicely grilled. We ordered teas to drink. Lunches are served with jasmine rice and sides of stir-fried vegetables. Service was friendly, helpful, prompt, and professional. A nice change of pace from sandwiches for lunch. read more

The pad Thai was unfortunately a different story... the noodles were not fully cooked? They were almost chewy. The flavor was unfortunately off, it tasted sweet! After the experience my partner and I had at this restaurant I had to download Yelp. Firstly I would like to point out that this review has nothing to do with the staff of this restaurant. The service was good and the staff were very friendly and polite. However this is about the quality of the food itself. I ordered the Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen. For some reason the both was sweet? I didn't see any black garlic in it at all either. The taste was just weird? There was no garlic flavor whatsoever and overall it was just a disappointing dish. My partner ordered the Signature Salmon. I didn't know that you could basically ruin salmon. It seems like they steamed the salmon before searing it and the taste was just funky. It basically took the actual salmon flavor out of the salmon somehow. If you've ever had steamed fish from a chinese restaurant, that was the taste of this salmon. The rice that came with it was hard and maybe not fully cooked? The veggies were fine but the main part of this dish was just utterly disappointing. Also this dish was TWENTY DOLLARS. TWENTY DOLLARS for this poor excuse of a dish. The price is the only reason my partner finished it. We did order some sushi and that was completely fine. If you're coming here for the sushi, it should be pretty okay. Overall the experience was just a disappointment. I was craving ramen and I got a sad version of it. The salmon was honestly gross and I told my partner that if I had gotten that I wouldn't have finished it, but due to the price of the dish he did finish it. $60 for a sad lunch. read more

We walked into Bleu Ginger after seeing the sign for ALL DAY Happy Hour on Saturday and Sundays. Inside was clean, modern, and bright. This place makes the most delicious cocktails! They also have huge Sushi Boats. The menu is decently sized and the food is delicious. There is seating in the front with more seating in the back and they even have live music back there sometimes. They were setting up for some music when I was there. Very tasty food with good portions. I recently had the crispy chicken rice bowl which was excellent and our table shared the Japanese Bao Buns. I'd never had them before and was surprised how yummy they were. I would definitely get both dishes again! Our waitress was very sweet and the bartender very friendly.
