    Chicken wings and Pork Gyoza
    Quincy M.

What a great place! My girlfriend and I came here after walking through mystic for happy hour and we loved it! We got the pork gyoza and wings on the happy hour menu. The sauce on the wings were fantastic and the gyoza sauce was amazing. We got a second order of gyoza because they were so good! The staff were very nice and they served us quickly. The bar area was a nice intimate spot for us and they had the Bills game playing which was great entertainment! Definitely come to this place for their happy hour, the prices and options were fantastic.

BLUF: There are some real highlights on the menu, but there's sneaky spicy elements everywhere. The restaurant has a clean, modern aesthetic. Also there's a large back room that would be great for a group. The wait staff are good at their job of being there when you need them and being elsewhere when you don't. The bathrooms are single person, so I'm not clear why they're gendered. We had a sushi tower and a happiness roll, plus some crab rangoons to start, and pineapple fried rice. Lately we've kind of given up on crab rangoons being worth the time, as most places forget that crab is in the name and will just serve you sweet cream cheese fried wontons. What a pleasant surprise, then, when the came out and were crabby and flavorful. The wonton wrappers were a little thick, thus chewy, but what is that when compared to the joy of finding a worthwhile crab rangoon again. The sushi tower was actually served on a tiered dish like I'm used to seeing your seafood towers, so it was visually striking. I have to say I was displeased to see spicy mayo on the rainbow roll. Who does that? Otherwise, everything was fresh, and large pieces of sashimi. The happiness roll is generously sized, but the ponzu sauce was a shrinking violet on the plate. As for the pineapple fried rice, that saved this review from being three stars. I don't even like fried rice and I was going back for more. You could be excused for just going here for this dish. While I'm unclear why things such a tonkatsu ramen and rainbow rolls are being made spicy, this is clearly a quality restaurant worthy of being visited.

Mystic can be a challenge to dine in, especially when in season. Bleu Ginger has enough open seating and fast enough turnaround on its service that it's a predictable and safe option. While that's clearly not a resounding review, it's a fun spot that you'll get a hearty Asian inspired meal. And sometimes that's what you need to get the job done.

Bleu Ginger never disappoints. Such delicious food. Well priced. Right in the heart of Mystic. Servers are super nice and make great recs. I am obsessed with the spicy mama noodles. I've never ordered something I didn't like. They have everything you could possibly want on their menu. Sushi, ramen, noodles, rice, pho, curry, the list goes on. Great spot.

We just came by to check out the menu and ambiance. They did a great job with renovations. Place looks crisp and love the light colors. It was a Monday so it was quiet but staff was pleasant and answered all my questions. The menu looks great and I'll be back with a big group. We tried the Tuna tartar and it was great with a rice crispy chips; avocado and jalapeño. The prices are very good for mystic. I can't wait to come back and try their poke bowl; drunken noodles, pad Thai.

Spacious restaurant and fairly good service. I ordered the Tokyo Shoyu and the handsome man I was with ordered the Yuzu Shio. He had asked for extra noodles and they arrived with a different kind from what's in the soup.. The server did ask if he wanted the noodles to be the same but ultimately he decided it wasn't a big deal.. We both agreed that our soup was good but not the best we've had. Mine certainly made me feel better as I was cold and dealing with a bit of a sore throat. He ordered fried tofu bao buns which were messy but good. Unfortunately the bao bun itself was cold.

I was invited here by my favorite Mystic, influencer and friend Jean Michael. I've eaten here before, and I particularly like the pineapple fried rice. This place does not skimp out on serving sizes in each of the portions is quite generous. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in downtown Mystic. This place is really good for happy hour and one of the bartenders, AOT, has a signature roll named after himself, which you definitely need to try out if you are a sushi fan. Another wok item that I recommend you'd give a try is the signature salmon in their signature ginger sauce. Service is very friendly and attentive with a smile, and I've never eaten anything here that I didn't like. The inside is pretty modern, chic and with hints of maximalist decor. I particularly like the cherry blossom arch inside.

We stopped in for lunch and ordered from their lunch special menu. Ok the fig margarita was fabulous! What a different option and very well done. The pad Thai was unfortunately a different story... the noodles were not fully cooked? They were almost chewy. The flavor was unfortunately off, it tasted sweet! The sushi was just ok, we ordered a salmon roll and a California roll. Unfortunately, we were not very impressed. I wonder if we should have ordered different items. The place itself is beautiful though, pretty big too. The service was quick and the staff was kind. We walked by last night and the place was packed so I'm thinking other items on their menu must be fantastic.

After the experience my partner and I had at this restaurant I had to download Yelp. Firstly I would like to point out that this review has nothing to do with the staff of this restaurant. The service was good and the staff were very friendly and polite. However this is about the quality of the food itself. I ordered the Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen. For some reason the both was sweet? I didn't see any black garlic in it at all either. The taste was just weird? There was no garlic flavor whatsoever and overall it was just a disappointing dish. My partner ordered the Signature Salmon. I didn't know that you could basically ruin salmon. It seems like they steamed the salmon before searing it and the taste was just funky. It basically took the actual salmon flavor out of the salmon somehow. If you've ever had steamed fish from a chinese restaurant, that was the taste of this salmon. The rice that came with it was hard and maybe not fully cooked? The veggies were fine but the main part of this dish was just utterly disappointing. Also this dish was TWENTY DOLLARS. TWENTY DOLLARS for this poor excuse of a dish. The price is the only reason my partner finished it. We did order some sushi and that was completely fine. If you're coming here for the sushi, it should be pretty okay. Overall the experience was just a disappointment. I was craving ramen and I got a sad version of it. The salmon was honestly gross and I told my partner that if I had gotten that I wouldn't have finished it, but due to the price of the dish he did finish it. $60 for a sad lunch.

I asked for my beer in a fun tiki glass and the bartender obliged

We walked into Bleu Ginger after seeing the sign for ALL DAY Happy Hour on Saturday and Sundays. Inside was clean, modern, and bright. We sat at the bar and ordered several $5-7 happy hour bites (wings, rangoons, sushi, etc), full variety of $6 draft beers (great selection), wines and select cocktails. The bartender was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The service was excellent with great food and value. We will be stopping here for future visits to Mystic.

Currently docked in: Paris!…read more Wow. Truly a phenomenal dining experience all around and I'm very sad I didn't think to take pictures. We went for an early seating yesterday and bravely brought our 8 month old. This was already a bold ask because this restaurant doesn't scream children but port of call took it with stride. We were accommodated with a highchair and several staff stopped to say hi to our baby. (For his part, our baby was relatively chill although a loud babbler, and no tears which we would call a win). Now onto the product. Absolutely phenomenal. We were wowed from start to finish. Every single drink, dish, and dessert far exceeded our expectations. The happy hour menu is very generously priced and had several favorites off the actual menu, as well as some items which I believe are available all the time. Our server (I'm very sorry I can't think of his name) was fantastic and offered excellent recommendations to like drinks on the current menu based on drinks we said we usually steer towards. Every drink (we had 4 different ones) absolutely knocked it out of the park. This would be an awesome spot for cocktails and apps with friends but is also a superb full service date night spot. We can't (and won't) stop raving about port of call!!!

This restaurant provides a higher quality meal than 99% of restaurants in CT. To the detriment of an otherwise fantastic experience: The overall experience here lacks some of the polish you'd expect from a restaurant operating at such a high culinary level. There seem to be consistent breakdowns of the overall communication, planning and operations throughout the restaurant experience. While the service team is friendly, capable, and professional, there are recurring lapses in communication and organization that affect the overall flow of service. These hiccups express a system lacking in polish and organization, perhaps due to a breakdown of cohesion, a weak overall structure, or management issues...? The intimate dining room is a part of the restaurant's charm, but it also leaves little room for error. Seating logistics and pacing require careful management, and we've experienced a few situations where communication between the front and back of house appeared to break down. To the staff's credit, any issues we've encountered have always been handled directly, graciously, and professionally. Port of Call remains a top dining choice, but the operational inconsistencies keep it from feeling like an automatic recommendation every time. Food: 5/5 Servers: 5/5 Finesse/Operations: 2/5

If you can't handle stairs do not come. The website's statement regarding it's accessible patio was not accurate. It looked like one existed but it was closed and they were not seating people there. Members of our family ended up just going back to the hotel because we were a party of 14 people on graduation weekend with no other options. Furthermore, There were only two bathrooms and they were on the first floor. If the patio had been open, these bathrooms would not have been accessible for anyone with mobility issues sitting on that patio. And there was a line, and no soap in one of the two bathrooms On the good side, the dining room was pretty and open air. It was a nice atmosphere and the waitstaff was good. But the food was expensive, and disappointing for the price and the hype. The onion roll in the bread basket was fantastic, and the sour dough was ok, but I didn't love the weird unchopped ceaser salad with discs of bread and parm. It was just frustrating to eat even if the flavors were good. My husband didn't really like the buccatini. I can't really speak for anyone else in our party. It was really going to be a high bar to make up for members of our family having to leave and not being able to celebrate with us. It could probably be a great place if they just got their act together. Other things to keep in mind are that parking in this part of town is beyond insane.

S & P Oyster Restaurant and Bar is a very charming and picturesque restaurant sitting on the Mystic River with indoor and outdoor seating, and photographic views of the Mystic River. Each employee is very attentive to your needs, and everyone works together as a team to assure each patron is getting quality service and a great experience. We were greeted at the entrance by the Hostess and promptly shown to a table overlooking the Mystic River. Next we were greeted by Evelina our server. She handed us menus and the daily specials and took our drink order. Upon her return to our table she went over the daily specials asked if we had any questions and if we knew what we wanted or if we needed more time. We both ordered unsweetened ice teas as we had a 2 hour drive back home. My wife and I both enjoyed a delicious bowl of New England Clam Chowder. It was creamy, rich and chock full of clams and not that pasty style you get in so many places. I ordered 6 oysters on the half shell along with 6 littlenecks on the half shell. They were very fresh, plump, juicy and tasted like the sea. I can live off these 2 mollusks. My wife ordered a Harvest Grain Bowl. It was loaded with crispy Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, roasted chickpeas, red onions, heirloom carrots, arugula, dried cranberries, toasted almonds, farro, with an apple cider vinaigrette. She loved it!!! Me being a seafood nut ordered Seafood Ambrosia. YUM, YUM & YUM!!!. It was a combination of cod, shrimp, scallops, crab, and seafood stuffing baked it an individual cast iron frying pan. It was buttery, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. It came with a side Mystic Salad that included artisan greens, radicchio, carrots, red onion, cucumbers, celery, and a honey balsamic vinaigrette. I recommend making a reservation for both lunch and dinner as they are one of the hottest restaurants in Mystic (especially during warmer months). Went here with my family this year on the Tuesday after Mother's Day and I had hyped the place up based on my wonderful experience last year. I was thoroughly disappointed with the menu selections and the food. The waiter told me they change out their menu from time to time. I sure wish they hadn't because the lump crab dip was delicious but the replacement was spinach and artichoke dip. The artichokes were not blended they were chunks and it was not in a creamy sauce but dry with shredded Parmesan cheese over the top. It was awful. I didn't even eat it. I also ordered the crab cake which wasn't good. Last time I had the crab cake, it was made with chuncks of crabmeat. This time it was shredded crabmeat and a lot of breadcrumbs. My son's girlfriend and my husband both ordered mussels and they each said they were okay. My husband also ordered what we call a crab imperial dish containing different kinds of shellfish, bread crumbs, cream sauce and cheese. Our son ordered a crispy fried chicken sandwich and he said it was delicious. I tried it and it was so good. The chicken was fried light and with tasty Chilean sauce on it.
