This was probably the best thing I have ever eaten. Ever. Service was great, ambience was great.....but the food was the star. Phenomenal!! We will be back!

In Niantic, after a day at the beach we went to dinner at Constantine's On The Bay. This was previously called The Main Street Grill. This place offers a nice view of the Niantic Bay. I have been here twice under their old name, and it still looks exactly the same. The menu is a bit different, with not as many burgers on it. We were seated outside, our waitress was lovely, she was super chatty and friendly. She told me that Constantine's On The Bay, was the original name of the restaurant, before the Main Street Grill. And now they're back to the roots again. The waitress suggested I get the Niantic Bay Sunset for my cocktail. This was a beautiful looking drink, but it was far too sweet for me. I got a cup of the Clam Chowder. This was delicious, thick, creamy, hearty and flavorful. It was obvious it was made in house. I also got the Salmon Salad. This was so good, the salmon was a bit dry, but not too bad. There was goat cheese, candied pecans, spinach, pear, and these really cute tiny little red peppers, which I have never seen before. What a colorful and filling salad. Others in my party got the calamari, the tuna carpaccio and the fish and chips. We had a great time at Constantine's On The Bay. I hope the next time I'm here, their name will stay the same.

Third visit this summer. Twice for lunch and tonight for dinner. Lunches were a great burger and a romaine wedge salad /with grilled chicken ...which I could not finish. Liked the salad so much we split it tonight for an appetizer. But this time it was iceberg lettuce. Stuffed shrimp were medium sized with a nice sauce and chicken Marsala had some good sized mushrooms. Portions were large and roasted/mashed potatoes delicious. There are quite a few tables inside and on the lower and upper decks. Parking easy...looked full when we drove in but there were still plenty of available tables. Service was prompt and very pleasant.

Believe it or not, get there at 5pm on a Friday night and you basically have the restaurant to yourselves for 15 mins! Then it gets packed! We started with Mediterranean Calamari- crispy, not chewy, and the marinara was spot on! Braised short ribs and the Steak special for dinner. The ribs were delicate and a boast of flavor. Mashed potatoes and a very thin, julienne medley of vegetables sat beautifully on the plate. The steak special, topped with crab meat and a bernaise was cooked perfectly, accompanied by roasted asparagus and mashed potatoes. It's now our "go to"restaurant! Definitely a 5 star meal for me!

Food and service is out of this world! Views are amazing and the seafood is fresh, well seasoned, and not fried and poorly executed. This is a must visit if you're in the area!

Nothing to rave about. Would I go back... No. We had overcooked, undercooked meals. So inconsistent. Just not good.

You would think you would be going in for a spa massage. Ordered a Grey Goose and sprite and it was worth it. A little extra to make your first drink, one to remember. I also ordered the Tuna Tower. Plating was visually appealing and tasted fresh as well. Would order this menu item again. When I asked a little bit about the place, she said that we could keep up with the Bands that play regularly, by following them on instagram and Facebook. Manager recommendations. Menu Design be upgraded to include the Tuskers Emblem to show off the place. Outside entrance has a emblem to show establishment. The windows are tinted and covered with curtains so you would t know you really arrived. When we asked why they have no sign the answer was they like it that way and will not have a sign. They share the parking lot with Jasmine Thai. When we walked in I have to say the decor is gorgeous. I love the boutique look to it and beautiful bar with black background. The hallway to bathrooms is beautiful including the bathroom. There were 2 bartenders. One of them came to our table to take our order. Tables are low coffe table styles with velvet pink accent chairs. On the other side by the stage they had some regular wood high tops as well. The ceiling was highly black with low dimmed yellow lights. I have to say, it was very hard to read the menu and had to use my phone flashlight. Other than that it looked nice. The place was feeezing. There were man at the bar with their coats on. I took mine off but had to put it back. It was the one thing I definitely didn't like about this place. If I return it will be in the summer. Now let's talk food. The food looked great and tasted very good. I love their entire menu. It was tough to decide. We tried the spring rolls; tuna tacos and Shrimp Himmapan. For dessert we had the Pistachios ricotta cake. The description given by the waitress was not correct but it was good. I would call this a cake. It was more like a cheesecake type dessert. But flavor wise was great. We will come back with friends once the weather is better. Don't want to risk being so cold like that again.

It was our waitresses birthday too and she was amazing multi tasking! The food was pretty good. The shrimp bisque was delicious with plenty of shrimp in it. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The sides were decent and could've been seasoned a bit better. The green beans were plain so it was a bit disappointing. The drinks was delicious. I ordered the Tony Fu Manchu. Plenty of seating inside and outside when the weather is nicer. It's a good place to go on a date or group gathering. Overall, I would recommend the place but may be better for tapas as opposed to entree spot.

We had the French scallops which were cooked perfectly, the spring rolls which were big and tasty, the Wu Chow shrimp and the chop chop chicken Which I think was the best dish of all! So tasty. this place is definitely a destination stop to put on your list! The only down side of the evening was the bartender. I'll start by saying that my expectations were pretty low heading in, based on the reviews. This is…read morevery much your standard local dive bar--and I mean that in the most straightforward way possible. You're not coming here for a standout meal or craft cocktails. You're coming here because it's open late, has cold drinks, and it's probably close by. In my case, it was conveniently located near our Airbnb, and with limited late-night dining options in the area, I ended up eating here two nights in a row--strictly out of convenience. Both nights I had the Clam Strip Roll. It's fine. Not great, not terrible. Just... fine. On the first night, I made the mistake of ordering the French fries, which came with an extra charge. They were underwhelming--small portion, cold, and not seasoned. Definitely not worth the upcharge or the calories. The second night I opted for the default chips instead. Still not great, but at least they didn't cost extra. My friend had the BLT on night one--nothing offensive about it, but nothing to write home about either. The toast was uneven, and the onion rings (also an upcharge) were a letdown: soggy and bland. On the second night, they went with the Works Burger and a side salad. Again, both were just average. The burger checked the usual boxes, and the salad was basic but fresh enough. In short, the food does the job, but it's not going to be a highlight of your trip. Drinks were a brighter spot--cold and reasonably priced, which is really all you can ask for in a place like this. The atmosphere? Exactly what you'd expect from a small-town dive bar. There are a few pool tables, TVs mounted on the walls playing sports, and music that leaned into classic rock and barroom standards. It's unpretentious and low-key--probably the kind of place where regulars sit at the same bar stools every night. Service was solid. Orders were taken quickly, drinks arrived fast, and needs were met with minimal fuss. Nothing over the top in terms of attentiveness, but nothing lacking either. It's the kind of service that keeps the gears moving without drawing attention to itself. Overall, Lyme Tavern is a functional, no-frills stop. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit, but in a pinch--especially if it's late and you're nearby--it'll do.
