Latte

This is such a cute little coffee shop. We were greeted with a smile when we walked in and our drink orders came out fast. We were looking for a good coffee place and found Macondo on our Map app and read the latest reviews here, and decided to give it a try. My husband ordered a latte which he said was very good. I ordered the Leche de Otoño latte with oat milk, this was AMAZING!! I will forever be thinking and dreaming about this latte. I'm so sad we never went back before heading home because I would have ordered a large. This drink is truly autumn in a cup, forget pumpkin spice (I said what i said!). My oldest had a Berry smoothie which she absolutely loved! We will definitely be back when we are visiting Mystic and the surrounding area.

Stopped here today for a pre-work coffee. It has such a classy and inviting atmosphere, with lots of plants! The baristas were very friendly. My cappuccino was strong (how I like it) and was nice and creamy with oat milk. There was plenty of seating, indoor and out. I also always appreciate when coffee shops have ceramic mugs to use while I sit down. I will definitely come back here!

Went back for a vanilla latte and it was totally gross. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I may have to change my mind on this place if it happens again

Bagels from NY in Mystic

4 bagels and a 1/2 pound of cream cheese was $19.38-HOLY SHIZNIT! We only stopped because they feature Essa Bagels from NYC....The staff, not sure if they all had a lobotomy but they were ridged and miserable. Not friendly or inviting at all-the barista looked like she wanted to flip the machine over in aggravated rage...Smile, I promise it's worth it.My friend warned me, I should've listened.

Everything bagel with cream cheese. Soooo go but could be better without the burn.

I so want to give Macondo 5 glorious stories. The staff is awesome, the place is nice to hang out in and the bagels and pastries are two thumbs up and the coffee is the best around. The one issue I'm having is that the last few times I picked up toasted bagels with cream cheese the bagels were burnt. It's not a slight burn but a heavy burn which changes the flavor of the entire experience. Fix the the toaster and I'd gladly give 5 stars.

Very, very, very clean! The baristas were also very nice and accommodating. The coffee though, did not blow me out of the water. It is a little pricey. The el churro there is basically a wanna be horchata and the iced chai I can get better somewhere else. They sell glass straws there in which I purchased. Pricey but hand blown and durable.

I was recommended this cute coffee shop by my friend and it did not disappoint! It's literally sooooooo cute! The hot chocolate will run you $4 but boy oh boyyyyyyy is it yummy! There's so many little components that add to the charm of the cafe. The tables and set up which create a comfortable atmosphere to work. The art work around the walls and decor. And most impressively the process of their beans --- grown in Colombia, roasted in Brooklyn and sent to the shop. When I was there, there was a chalk board that listed the date sourced in Colombia was 10/3 and roasted in Brooklyn on 10/22 then shipped freshly to a Stonighton! The barista was wonderful and I will certainly be back again!!

A cappuccino at Macondo. The people, the atmosphere, and most importantly the coffee, are incredible.

Great coffee and bagels, great service, immaculate sit-down area. Nick is the best barista in town.

Wonderful full bodied coffee with a variety of creamers: soy, almond, oat, milk. They also have nyc bagels!

Super cute shop. Very tasty bagel sandwiches. Excellent coffee…read more Parking is on the south side of the building (north side lot is a private club). Enter through the door at the sidewalk. There is a sandwich board in the parking lot next to the employee entrance with the days sandwich options. The shop is small with seating for about ten people. Most of the traffic during our visit was take away. Order counter is on the left with the menu board overhead and available bagels in bins. Place your order and pay, then pick up at the next counter. No paper receipts, but you can have one emailed. For coffee orders, staff will add the milk of your choice, or you can add cream and sweetener at a table to the right of the pick up area. This table also has drink lids, napkins and stir sticks. Online orders are left on shelves by the door for quick and easy pick up. Staff here are very friendly. The bagel selection is creative. I had a jalapeno and havarti cheese bagel with cream cheese. The flavor of the bagel was just right. The cream cheese is very smooth and there was plenty on there. The bagels are a respectable size. Any bigger would be too big imho. The texture is dense with a pleasant chew. I couldn't tell the bagels were sour dough, maybe because of the jalapeno. My SO got themselves a Hot Boi on a prosciutto bagel. To say it was very much enjoyed is probably a bit of an understatement. It was pretty much inhaled and then expounded on in detail. So yes, it was a hit. We both had a Dave's drip coffee which is very smooth. They offer a variety of coffee drinks and seasonal specials are listed on the menu. They all sound amazing. Do recommend this spot.

I'm going to do two reviews for Flour Shop. One is on the Event Page and is limited to what I tried at the Yelp Check In Event. This one focuses on the half dozen bagels and cream cheese I purchased. Flour Shop is a small independent bagel shop, with some limited seating. They also have a robust takeout business. I arrived at Opening at 8 am. The shop was instantly thriving. The Flour Shop Team was friendly, helpful and efficient. I ordered a half dozen bagels to bring home. I asked if they had Veggie Cream Cheese, which is my go to. They didn't have any made, but they offered to make Veggie CC on the Spot. And you know what? It was Top 10 Percentile for all Bagel Shops. Full of chunks of veggies. Great texture and great color. Flour Shop boils and bakes their Bagels. I tried the Prosciutto Special Bagel and a Spicy Egg Everything. They were good chewy. Fresh. The Prosciutto was crispy, which was the way to do it for a bagel. The seasoning for the Spicy Egg Everything was nuanced and tasty. The Bagels look a bit rustic in a good way. The Flour Shop executed the classics well. Great coverage on the Sesame and Everything Bagels. If you live in the greater Stonington area, visiting The Flour Shop is an easy decision. It's also worth driving from away to start an area day trip. 5 Stars

Whether you're grabbing a classic bacon, egg & cheese or going all‑in on a specialty spread, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Creamy and balanced, I was tempted to get another! We ordered the California Burrito and Big 55 sandwich. The jalapeño aioli paired with the carne asada on the burrito was unreal. Last note - the guys behind the counter were so friendly, greeting everyone coming through the door! I swear they knew everyone, and introduced themselves if they didn't. They had gluten-free option, singular, so that's what I got. This plain gluten-free bagel with plain cream cheese ran me $7. I asked for it extra toasted. I got raw ass bread, slightly warmed up, with an insulting amount of cream cheese. So yeah you can get a gluten-free bagel here, but at what cost? (That's a rhetorical question - the answer is $7 & emotional distress). Anyways - I really hope they continue to stock gluten-free items, just with more intention & care. People will go way out of their way for a good gluten-free breakfast. It's gotta be good tho.
