Long line but it goes quickly. Tasty pasties and friendly staff. They have more than one location but we were in Mystic and it was busy.

Sift Bake Shop is one of the highlights when coming to downtown Mystic. It's easy to find off of the main road with street or lot parking nearby. Nice looking bake shop with all kinds of sweet and savory items to choose from. They also offer a good amount of coffee or tea drinks too. It was tough to choose but we decided to have a pastry and a coffee to dine in and take a few items back to try later. We got the Pecan Sticky Bun to try inside and take home the Apple Turnover and a classic Chocolate Chip Cookie. The pecan sticky bun was delicious, good sized and perfect to share. Would get this again when back. Next day we had the Apple Turnover and choco chip cookie, both were equally delicious and nicely made. You can tell they make the classic pastries well! Staff was really nice, they are detailed if you want items warmed up, dine in for some or take some items home. They will pack all that up for you. If I recall correctly, prices seem to be what I thought it would be. Dining area is good sized, we came in when it was busy so we didn't sit in the main area, but we did find plenty of room in their heated patio area. It's enclosed so it's not really like you are sitting outside in the bitter cold. Overall, a great bakery and a spot not to be missed when visiting the area.

Such a gem! The desserts were absolutely beautiful and they tasted just as incredible as they looked. The display case was so impressive, it honestly made it hard to choose. Everything looked fresh and crafted with care. I'll definitely be back soon to make my way through more of the menu.

We ordered 4 chocolate croissants, 2 lemon scones, 2 chicken salad croissants, 2 yogurt parfait, 1 milk chocolate hazelnut, and 4 macarons (1 yuzu, 1 pistachio, 2 of the pink/purple one for the kids). The lemon scones were hard on the outside and soft on the inside, my whole family loved it. The chocolate croissants were good but not as good as the lemon scones. The chicken salad croissant was served on an everything croissant and OMG that is some delicious croissant. My wife and I regret not buying a ton of everything croissants and freezing them for future meals, which is something we will definitely do in the future. The yogurt parfait was creamy, thick, and filling. Although it was good, I dont know if I would order that again as we couldnt finish it. The milk chocolate hazelnut was so pretty that I didn't want to eat it. We finally did, and my kids and I loved it. My wife thought it was too sweet. Lastly the macarons, my wife ate the yuzu and said it was the perfect balance. She said it was not too sweet and would order it again when we return to Sift Bake Shop. I had the pistachio which I thought tasted artificial and too sweet. My kids ordered the macaron that is purple on one side and pink on the other and they both loved their macaron. Overall, this was a great place to grab some pastries. Highly recommend visiting this place and giving it a try.

This place is glorious! So much variety and absolutely beautiful pastries. We had a hard time choosing but ended up getting a strawberry rhubarb tart that was to die for. I wish there was a Sift Bake Shop near me because I would live there! They did have gluten free options for my GF buds.

This place has been consistent since opening! Great staff, clean environment, amazing food and outstanding hand crafted drinks (coffee). They make specialty syrups and this fall the one that hit home for me is the brown butter bourbon in a latte! Try it and please get it hot. The guava and cheese danish is one of my faves! I cannot get enough of this place. So get your rear end over there and get "sifty"!

I've been seeing the hype on social media, so it was on my bookmarks list to visit! It's a French inspired bakery and cafe with multiple locations. They offer pastries, breads, macarons, and more. There are sweet and savory options. There is a patio and inside had a few tables. We walked by it and there was a long line. We decided to go after lunch and the line was much shorter, score! The service was great, everyone was friendly working there. I got a large cookie, two chocolate croissants, pistachio croissant, macarons, coffee, and guava & cheese pastry. I fell in love with the pistachio croissant and macarons. The croissant was so soft and it was filled with a delicious pistachio creamy concoction. The macarons were pure perfection. My family loved the other treats we got. I get the hype! The place was so good I had to go back a second time the next day.

I was told whenever you're in Mystic, it's a must to stop at Sift. I stopped in around 1p, & thankfully the line wasn't crazy, as I was warned it's usually out the door. They have plenty of dessert options as well as bagels, coffees etc. Since I didn't get here in the morning, I didn't get the HIGHLY recommended bagels. I went the cookie & pastry route. While my eyes, were fully fed & satisfied, the tastes of each was ok for my tongue. For example, I'm a lover of macarons & I loved the different flavor options but these reminded me of grocery store, as far as the taste. The other pastries, again beautiful & looked decadent, but didn't give me, wow! This could be due to how much the bakery was hyped up, so my expectations were high. I'm going to return to try other items, especially the bagels everyone talks about.

Sift is always a pit stop when we are in the Mystic area! You can't go wrong with any of their selections whether you are craving a pastry, cookies, cake or macarons. Definitely a treat! Service was really quick even with the line out the door. There are seats available indoor if you prefer to sit and enjoy. We usually take to go because it's a hot spot and parking is limited. Macarons and the cakes slices are my favorite!

Sift, sift, sift! Always a treat! I absolutely love their gluten-free cookies and those massive gourmet stuffed macarons, such a dream! It's always a win when they have gluten-free options and they taste amazing. All smiles every time! This visit, I also picked up an Opera Cake, it sounded incredible and it will not disappoint. Sift is always a winner in my book..delicious treats , roomy cafe indoor and outdoor and super friendly staff. Can't wait for my next visit!

Came here after a run on a Sunday. Parking was easy downtown in the morning. Was able to get a seat after ordering. Very cute inside with the pastries out on display. Everything looks delicious it is hard to choose. i decided to get a hot chocolate, a savory spinach and artichoke croissant and a sweet white chocolate peppermint croissant. I enjoyed everything. They heated up the spinach and artichoke croissant and it was really good. I liked the cheese. The sweet croissant was also good but it had a little too much filling inside. The sizes are good and filling. Prices are average for a bakery. Would definitely come back!

Cute as hell on the inside. And the server was so nice, and informative. I even said, "Are you one of the founders?" (ha) she replied, "no!" (very politely). She told me that the "Opera Cake" was an award-winning dessert of theirs. So of course, I got it. It is their take on Tiramisu. And while I enjoyed it, I thought, "Hm, this isn't like crazy unique." I got a blueberry muffin for breakfast the next day, which was awesome! And an oat, sea salt and chocolate chip cookie for a later time. The cookie was probably the best of all three things that I got. It was all good enough that I would go back. But I think since the Opera cake wasn't AMAZING, that's why I'm giving it four stars, and not five. *I don't care about macarons, but I thought they looked super cute.

Stopped back in after a couple years and was happy to see some of our favorites! It seems like some of the new recipes have changed a bit, unfortunately the pumpkin dessert didn't have much pumpkin flavor. The large raspberry macaroon was still delicious though!

Everything we ordered was good but not so great that we'd wait in a longer line: + Cheese & Guava Danish ($4.50): Good but a little dry and not as fresh as I'd expect for first thing in the morning. + Ham and Cheese Croissant: This was the least memorable. + Ham Quiche ($9.50): This was the best thing we ordered--super delicate crust, fluffy eggs, good flavor. One of the places that is a top notch coffee shop and bakery, and my favorite, is Sift Bake Shop. Over my last two trips to Westerly, RI, I went there multiple times. First, their coffee is great and food is excellent. They have a wide variety of pastries, plus some sandwiches. They also have macaroons and cakes. I have ordered both their chocolate croissant and raspberry croissant. They are both good, but I would recommend the raspberry croissant. The last time I was in Westerly, RI I tried their chicken salad sandwich. The chicken was tender and the sauce was creamy and delicious. The sandwich came with a small bag of Cape Cod chips included in the price. I have gotten both iced lattes and iced coffee there. They are both good. One note of caution, their flavored lattes can be very sweet. Second, the service is good. The coffee shop is small and often is busy. The staff is friendly and they do a good job of the moving the line without being pushy or rude. Third, the interior is simple, but bright and classic. The shop is well lite. The white counter also brightens up the shop. In sum, this is a must visit coffee shop and bakery when you are Westerly, RI.

The service was horrendous. My drink was four dollars and I got charged a dollar more for no reason. Making it five dollars. The drink was not hot and tasted more like water than hot cocoa. We asked for it to be heated up and they said they could not do that. They told us the half-and-half makes the hot chocolate cooler than if we were to order just hot chocolate with water. I thought that was a problem. But then I had to deal with the rude attitude of two of their employees. When we told them that our drink was not hot and asked them to heat it up, they told us that they could not do so. They said they would have to remake it and they could just put hot water in with no cream. The snippy, sassy attitude was not appreciated. The adorable ambience of the teahouse is worth a visit.
