In town for a concert at Fenway/MGM, we chose this spot because it was just a short Uber ride away, and the strong reviews were spot on. Service was excellent; we told them we only had about 1.25 hours to dine and they paced everything perfectly. The menu is huge. We started with cocktails, French onion soup, and a duck pâté that was a bit different from most--smooth and uniform rather than flecked, served with what seemed like an apple-butter-style sauce and plenty of bread. Our entrées, a chicken dish and pasta Bolognese, were both very good. Overall, everything was enjoyable and we would recommend this restaurant; total with tip was about $250.
I don't typically go to the more upscale spots but came here on a date night. The bartender greeted us with our names when we sat down (resi was at the bar) and throughout the night was very nice and friendly. The drinks were alright, we got classics (gimlet and cosmo, as their house cocktail list didn't have much to choose from). However the food was impressive. The presentation was beautiful. The duck fat fries delicious, and a large portion- lovely to snack on while you wait for the entree. The duck entree was perfect, the meat melted in your mouth and failed beautifully with the sauce/mushrooms underneath. Note that the chicken and duck take ~30 min. I loved the staff's uniforms and how everyone held themselves, as staff presences in these types of establishments matter. All that said I agree with other reviews that overall, it wasn't much to write home about, but i had a lovely experience and would recommend for a fancier date night!
Deuxave had been on my list for quite a while, so I decided to make a reservation and got lucky with street parking right across Commonwealth. When I checked in at the host stand, they offered a coat check service, which was helpful. The decor is sophisticated yet not overdone, with a great wine wall--I'm always a sucker for those. I was seated at the bar and was pleased to see an amuse bouche, which seem to have fallen out of favor at some restaurants labeling themselves as fine dining. While I am typically not a mushroom fan, I found the amuse bouche to be quite tasty. I started off with the French onion soup, which was accompanied by a flavorful crouton. The soup was very nicely done! I had the Long Island duck breast as my entree, and it was excellent. From the pairing with the sweet potato puree to the bed of well-coordinated veggies below the duck, this was some of the best duck I've had in recent memory. It also was very meaty, and even the duck fat was rendered nicely. I paired this with a glass of Syrah, which was a great match for the meal. While I was tempted to do a full dessert, I was stuffed, so I ordered a single scoop of the smoked vanilla bean ice cream. And WHOA! This ice cream was an absolute show stopper--I savored every bite and still wonder how they packed such an incredibly large amount of flavor into one scoop. My only ding is that the staff unfortunately lost the stocking cap that was tucked into my coat pocket, and they were not able to find it after the meal ended. I was less sad about the stocking cap and more about the windy, cold night outside, but at least it wasn't a long walk to my car. I hope Deuxave enjoys many more years in Boston, and I'll be back!
We went for the tasting menu paired with non-alcoholic beverages and it was a shockingly nice touch! Our server had an incredible knowledge of the non-alcoholic wine which was so appreciated, our favorite was the jasmine. Loved the service, he was wonderfully accommodating when we asked to be moved to a more private table. The food was spectacular, though there was so much we could barely finish. My personal favorite was the melon salad. Her favorite was the foie gras. Atmosphere was quiet and sophisticated. Would definitely do this again
I had a lovely meal here with a friend on a recent trip to Boston. We were immediately seated in a cozy nook that was quiet and perfect for catching up but also great for people watching we opted for the prefix menu and enjoyed our meal. the fish was cooked to perfection, the amuse Bouche was one of my favorites and of course I love the desserts!
Had a lovely birthday dinner at Deuxave. Their ambiance exudes casual elegance. The staff seemed professional and kind. They warmly greeted us and every time they explained the dishes, you could tell they were very proud of the dish they were serving. We got their seasonal tasting menu and were thoroughly impressed. My favorites were the roasted duck breast and homemade tortellini. The second we tried the tortellini, we knew it was the dish of the night. It was buzzing with rich creaminess inside but was perfectly complimented with the freshness of the roasted corn, red pepper & fresh pesto. We ended the night with their sticky toffee pudding with coffee ice-cream which was to die for. Would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for hosting such a wonderful meal & providing such lovely service.
This is more like a 3.5 but given the price I will round down. Deuxave is a staple - it's in the quiet rich area of commonwealth ave, between kenmore and Newbury. It's been in business the whole time I've lived in Boston, nearly a decade now. I am sure it precedes me. Boston has a lot of decently upscale French restaurants, this being one of them. It's a safe choice for an anniversary dinner or a parents in town dinner. That being said - it is nothing special, especially for the price. The ambiance could have set it up to be something extraordinary. Props to management for making waiters wear nice uniforms with tie bars and button downs. There is a sommelier. But there were lots of little things that ruined the experience for me considering I was in a party of 5 with over $200 pp spend: - it was cold. I had to ask 3 times to turn on the fireplace next to me (3!) and I was finally told they didn't have gas for it. It's October? Offer to turn up the heat? Offer to move us? Something? Anything? - we had to ask to have our wine repoured. Multiple times. The glasses were empty for a while before we finally asked. - women are not served first, and in fact, I wasn't done ordering before the waiter went to the next guest. It actually felt disrespectful, but perhaps it wasn't intentional. - bill was brought before we had a chance to ask for coffee/tea. - bread service was one brioche which wasn't fully or evenly laminated and quite gooey in the middle from the butter layers not having separated. I would have preferred regular sourdough slices or rolls. - in general, our waiter would disappear or be busy chatting with a friendly table and we'd be waiting for a while when we needed something. - I liked that the menu changed every day depending on what they had in the kitchen, but I simply didn't love any of the appetizer options. It's okay. I know how pretentious this review sounds. But I think it's warranted when you're asked to pay $$$ and you can tell they are putting out the promise of luxury without executing (but charging for it).
Star moments: the bread ! Came out warm and was similar to a croissant in texture. Wonderful way to start the meal! Food was overall tasty but nothing outstanding. The service was also very slow. Overall it was solid but not mind blowing
Excellent meal, service and total experience. We had the tasting menu option and everything was great (even the salad!).
This place is French in a good way. We were greeted warmly and seated by the large windows overlooking Mass Ave. The place exudes casual elegance -- candlelight, brick, the ubiquitous wine display. Magically, the waitstaff was there when you needed them and in the background when you did not. We dined on duck confit, scallops, and homemade tagliatelle. Ok, I think you could skip the tagliatelle but the server did warn us it was a "neighborhood" dish. All were well prepared and thoughtful. We enjoyed the combination of jicama with duck confit, and the watercress brought a freshness to the scallops. Would highly recommend trying the goat cheese and espresso cake. It seemed weird to us, but we found the combination delightful. This place has been here for years and appears to be going strong. We'll be back.
Classy dinner spot with romantic, low lit ambiance, huge arched windows, brick walls, a cozy fireplace, wine towers in glass and excellent service. They take your coat when you first get there and the server was attentive, friendly, and informative without being overbearing. We started with the foie gras, which was decadent but not worth getting again for the price point IMO. The star of the show was the duck breast. The duck was cooked a perfect med rare and I loved the savory farro risotto and mushrooms - a very umami forward pair. It was balanced by the spiced persimmon puree which was sweet, but the spices were a bit too strong, so I dipped sparingly. My partner had the bolognese which was good, but we both agreed the duck was better. All of the plating was beautiful and meticulously done. I had the recommended pinot pairing with the duck and was not very impressed. It tasted a bit hot, especially for a pinot and the nose was a bit funky. I don't think it was corked but it wasn't great, which surprised me given the wine list is enormous and pricey. To finish we got the chocolate souffle and it was hot, fluffy and rich. A classic that was well done and a good way to end our meal. Overall it was a lovely date night out. Not sure if I need to return but it's a nice place for a special occasion.

This is our second time here. Very classy and elegant restaurant. We came for the tasting menu. Everything was great. The oysters and scallops appetizers were my favorites. Pasta was also very creamy and fresh. Our table was a bit wobbly and they helped us change seats. The servers are friendly and professional. They are on the pricier end but would be a great choice for a special occasion. read more

Holy mother of French Food. If you like French, this is it. One of the best dinning French experiences in Boston from food to service. It was our first time there and we took the waiters recommendation with no hesitation. All the food was superb and will be visiting again when the time is right. We had a lovely meal here yesterday. I told them it was my birthday and they gave us a few perks: a tuna tartare amuse bouche at the beginning and dark chocolate truffles at the end. In between we had the famous French onion soup, (amazingly rich); duck pâté with accompaniments, (delicious); then New York strip steak and duck breast (both were good, but we agreed the duck was best.) We shared a vanilla crème brûlée with mango sorbet (superb) and a twenty year old tawny port (very good) for dessert. The service was attentive and very knowledgeable; the ambiance was relaxed and soothingly quiet. (So often nowadays restaurants are noisy and frantic-feeling.) It was a wonderful birthday dinner. read more
Delicious and great service! Sommelier was great and made excellent suggestions because the wine we chose was sold out. The two meat carpaccio /tartare was the best I've had anywhere. One of my absolute favorite dishes I've had in months. The smoked Burrata agnolotti had a great flavor as well along with the fries. Dessert was also good - interesting foie gras ice cream with the crème brûlée. Overall good but overpriced - 4/5 because some of the food didn't live up to the hype And we were disappointed by the rosemary focaccia - it felt more like slices of white bread and we received only 2 thin slices each. I'd recommend going for drinks and prime meats app with fries and dessert! read more

Went here for dinner after the symphony to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter highly recommended the duck dishes as they are a specialty and fan favorite at this restaurant. For starters, my bf got the French onion soup and I got the lobster gnocchi fricassee. For our main courses I got the spiced duck breast and he got the bolognese. In between courses we were given an amuse bouchée of fresh apple gazpacho and mini desserts at the end. The food was absolutely phenomenal, everything was so delicious and I would highly recommend grabbing a bite here if you'd like a high-end dining experience. read more

Every course of the chefs choice dinner was exquisite. Balanced flavors with great depth and each ingredient perfectly prepared and plated beautifully. We both cleaned every plate and were consistently excited to see what would be served next. We will definitely return again and again. Highly recommend! read more
We came here a couple weeks ago for our anniversary and left feeling quite disappointed. We got a nice quiet table as requested, but received no acknowledgement about our anniversary. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice. We ordered the foie gras as an appetizer and received it almost an hour later. Tables that were seated well after us were already eating, so we felt a little forgotten. It was a small portion and the churro and sauce it was served with was very sweet, overpowering the foie gras. It could have been confused for dessert. I ordered the halibut which was the smallest entree I've ever received. The fish itself was cooked and seasoned very well but the sauce was very acidic and felt almost as if they'd squeezed half a lemon over the whole thing. My fiancé said the same thing about it. I may have exchanged it for something else if our server had come by to check in on us. My fiancé ordered the duck which was phenomenal. Cooked beautifully, great sauce and portion size. The wine list was impressive as well and we were happy with our pairings. We were recommended the crème brûlée for dessert and were disappointed as well. It was a small portion for $18, served on top of an overly sweet pastry and random fruits. It felt a bit messy. Overall, we were disappointed. We may come back to sit at the bar for a glass of wine, but if you're looking for somewhere to spend a special evening, I'd look elsewhere, unfortunately. read more
High prices means high expectations, and Deuxave really outperformed in flavor. Food I've tried: (* = my favorite) - OLIVE AND ROSEMARY FOCACCIA ($3): standard focaccia - SEARED HUDSON VALLEY FOIS GRAS* ($32): these are simply heavenly. The fois gras absolutely melts away in your mouth, balanced by the acidity of the strawberry that cuts through the fattiness. The black sesame doughnut has a nuttiness, that pairs well with all of the elements. This was the best fois gras I have ever had, with a unique combination of accessories highlighting the pure richness of the flavor. - SPICED LONG ISLAND DUCK BREAST ($41): The duck itself was well cooked and not overly dry. The pearled barley was creamy, and the sauce had a well balanced acidity. - In between the courses, there were small treats for us to sample. The first was a cucumber slice with some topping I couldn't identify, and the second was a little cube of chocolate. Atmosphere: - Feels like a standard fancy dining place, the table had a fresh white rose. Service: - Extremely friendly, gave great recommendations. Overall: - The food was delicious, no doubt. For the price would I return? I think absolutely for the fois gras, as it is the best I have ever had. The duck breast was good, but not in the same mindblowing way as the fois gras to warrant $41 in my opinion. However, I would be excited to try the other items on the menu on a special occasion. read more

Why I'll go back: An elegant atmosphere with food that never disappoints. You HAVE to order: the chicken breast (the most flavorful chicken entree I have ever ordered at a restaurant and the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Deuxave) Tony's Tip: table 61 is a cozy table for two tucked away in one corner of the restaurant, and while only one diner has a full view of the restaurant, the seats are oversized wingback armchairs that add a little flair to the dining experience (FYI, temporarily removed during COVID) Despite a decade of success in the Back Bay, Deuxave remains surprisingly under the radar in Boston's dining scene. It's arguably a top 10 restaurant in terms of across the board excellence, with a spectacularly elegant dining room, consistently outstanding dishes across a varied menu, an excellent wine list, and attentive, professional service. We did the seasonal tasting menu a couple of weeks ago. This turns over at least once a quarter, and we were so impressed with the experience that we're thinking we should really go back every few months to see what new offerings Chris Coombs has cooked up. From the creatively garnished crab appetizer to the truffle-topped cod basting in a delicate, flavorful broth to the airy gnocchi and classically presented filet on a bed of whipped mashed potatoes, the cliche that we enjoyed every bite was never more true. So stalk your next special occasion (birthday, promotion, the end of COVID?!!) and celebrate it at Deuxave. We're already in stalking mode ;) read more
Excellent meal (albeit expensive) but would not come back I was meeting other people and peeked my head in past the hostess stand and essentially got reprimanded. She acted like I stormed the place and was doing something illegal - and I said I was seeing if my group was here - which she raised her voice and demanded that she would help with. We did not have a reservation - Would you like me to describe their faces to you? Obviously this became a dead-end interaction - I ended up leaving to go wait at a nearby place until I was sure my friends arrived, because clearly this was not the place to wait for a few minutes. I was wearing full business attire, I'm obviously not coming off the street. I even said something to her that never in my life have I ever been told I couldn't poke my head in to see if my party was here so if there was a rule then I would not have been aware - she goes "it's okay" as if I was apologizing to her? Think they need to lower the emergency security hurdle a bit based on this interaction. We did end up eating at the bar and the meal and cocktails were tasty, but for a place as expensive as this I would expect a higher level of customer service manner (even if you want to bucket this as East Coast "charm") read more

First, I must say the food was out IMMACULATE. Not one bite went to waste. The service on the other hand, was sub par. We had a reservation and were 10 mins early- due to the flagged note that if you were even a little late you could lose your table. We waited until 2 mins after our reservation time to sit, while people who were 15+ mins late were walking right in and getting their table. Honestly, it felt like since they went out of their way to flag this as a PSA the people who were late should have had to wait and the people there with respect of the reservation should have gotten to sit. Once we did finally get going we got put at a tiny table in a tiny room with 5 other tables smooshed in there. The seats were so uncomfortable that we were literally in pain while finishing our entrees. Other tables outside this room had massive cushioned chairs, some even with pillows. It felt like our experience was cheapened by a lot. The bread service is weird, you don't get any until almost right before your food comes..which wasn't awesome because we were hungry and already had been waiting for a while at the host stand. Every single staff member was running around like a chicken with their head cut off. It's not settling in the least bit. Our server, Paul, never said you're welcome. Not once. He said it to other tables next to us..but never once said it to us (which we could hear clearly because we were basically all eating together with how close our tables were). It definitely stood out. We were the youngest people in there by far but we came very well dressed with good money to spend and the manners to go with it. It got to a point where I was wondering if he was annoyed? We wanted to get dessert but just couldn't after already being there for over 2 hours. We would love to try this place again since we discovered they change their menu daily- but this time we'll be specific with where we want to sit so we're not put at the community table room. read more

Deuxave is my favorite fine dining restaurant in Boston. The lobster gnocchi and duck breast are phenomenal. I've never had better gnocchi or duck. I was not a fan of some of the other items such as the French onion soup, bolognese, steak, chocolate cake, or crème brûlée. I'd recommend parking on your own instead of using the valet parking unless you want to wait outside for the valet to come back and do his job. The valet parking is $25, and the valet wasn't even there when we were done eating so we had to wait 30 minutes for him to return so I could get my car keys. read more

Disappointing and inconsistent food and service. Prices are too expensive, almost all of the food lacked depth and flavor. Service was, um just weird, while nothing bad happened, the experience was lackluster. To sum it up, this restaurant is confused, it is trying to be too many things. Bread was $3 per person, which was never communicated. Also, this bread is sourdough, not even close to a focaccia. All water is bottled here, including still, which is ridiculous. If I come to a regular restaurant, which has no recognition, it should absolutely provide free still water. **Seriously EXPECT TO PAY FOR ALL WATER** French onion soup was fine but way overpriced for what you get. It doesn't have the depth it should. Tartare and Carpaccio were good. Duck was very good, lots of flavors and depth. This was the best dish we had. Cod was disappointing, broth felt watered down and lacked depth. Had the banana muffins dessert thing, again nothing special, needed salt and additional ice cream, scoop was way too small for the size of the muffin/bread. The hunt for celebrating special occasions with amazing food continues, and I urge you to book somewhere else. read more

My Girlfriend and I went for our 6 months and were delighted with the service, attention to detail and overall experience. The wine list is expansive and full of option for everyone. The rolls were good. French onion soup was good but a little too much cheese for such a small bowl. Otherwise really good. I got the steak and my girlfriend got the pasta which she couldn't stop talking about post dinner. Even got a cute complimentary desert for our post meal celebration. Very much enjoyed. read more

The food, service, and ambiance at Deuxave are all great and make for a special (and intensely fine & uptight) dining experience. 1/ Food - the menu concepts and execution are all super excellent. We ordered the foie gras, tagliatelle, duck breast, snap peas, fries, and two desserts (pistachio layer cake and chocolate cake) and it was all fantastic. I have a super sensitive palate - very very rarely give 5 stars to every dish no matter how good the restaurant - and really did love everything here. The plating, portions, flavors, and textures were all great! 2/ Service here is great. I am most grateful to the employees for being respectful and courteous to everyone - I was in a shitshow situation because I got out of work late and (not on purpose) showed up in literally the ugliest outfit ever - I barely brushed my hair, had sunscreen streaks all over my face, wore spandex shorts, some zip up hoodie, and flip flops yet no one judged me! This respectfulness standard of showing not even one iota of snap judgement is one I could not hold myself against. That said I don't ever recommend doing this because I felt super out of place the entire time, but I was impressed by how courteously I was treated. The staff are also just amazing and super knowledgeable outside of all of this. 3/ Ambiance is beautiful! The restaurant is super pretty and on a beautiful corner of the city - right on Comm & Mass Ave. Pricing is more $$$$ than $$$. Small three course meal for two rounded out to ~$240 incl. tip. I don't think it's possible to dip below $60 pp at Deuxave. read more
I'm giving 5 stars and a special shout out for the valet staff, I wish I knew this gentleman's name but he is wonderful. Although we did not even use the valet, he graciously ran out to ask the Uber driver coming to pick up my father and I to turn around so that we didn't have to cross the street (Mass Ave can be a bit hectic). Anyways he was awesome so thank you! As for the restaurant, we had a very pleasant meal here. This seems to be a very happening spot. I went with the tuna crisp to start, and finished off with fresh piece of baked cod over bed of cous cous. read more

The BEST French restaurant in Boston. The focaccia was light and airy and the chicken dish was absolutely fantastic. The combination of flavors and textures was perfect. It was cozy and moody inside and the waiter was very good. read more
Perfect for date night! My partner and I visited Boston for our 5 year anniversary and dinner at Deuxave was the right choice. He informed them in advance that it was our anniversary, so they wished us upon entering and had a card waiting for us out our table as well. So sweet of them!! It was also on our dessert, if you look closely. The service was amazing, they offered us a few samplers of some of their menu items on the house and everyone was so kind and friendly! Very romantic vibes and the food was bombbb. We also got the duck confit, not pictured. Safe to say we love French food now! read more
Food: food was generally ok. The onion soup was bitter. They said it was due to the new cheese they bought. We sent it back and didn't get charged for it so that was nice. The duck was very good so recommend that! Ambiance: dim lit romantic. A bit more upscale. Also hosted parties. Parking: all street or garage. No valet either. Garage is a bit of a walk so if wearing heels, ask to be dropped off. read more

A rather underwhelming birthday dining experience. The duck breast was very chewy, the steak, tho asked for medium rare, was cooked to medium. The steak knife was unacceptable, too. I was hoping they would shave the white truffle at the table, perhaps that was my misunderstanding. The french onion soup was excellent. Foie gras was mediocre, nothing exceptional. When asked for the dining occasion, I specifically mentioned it was a birthday celebration for both guests, but the restaurant didn't do anything about it (then why ask?) That's all. read more

Had a delightful anniversary dinner here! Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The rosemary and olive focaccia was served warm and I think they mentioned the butter was housemade, so good! The amuse bouche before our starter was an unexpected surprise which really elevated the dining experience. The foie gras itself was delicious but the carefully selected sauces and sides that came with it made for some incredible bites! I had the scallops which were cooked well but the true winner was the sauce. My boyfriend had the steak main course and really liked it too! Lastly I really appreciated our server, we happened to mention that it was our anniversary early in the night and despite not ordering dessert he brought a plate of mini macarons with "happy anniversary" written on it! Would definitely recommend for a celebration or just a fun night out! read more
The food was delicious, and well cooked. Though for a birthday dinner (mentioned in our reservation, which staff acknowledged upon arrival), we were seated right next to a table - which were not socially distanced (per the 6 feet state requirement). Also waited on someone to take our second drink orders for about 10 minutes, while our empty glasses sat in the middle of our table. Overall, good food, but disappointing, won't be returning. read more
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint!! Yes it's on the expensive side and you literally have to pay for every little thing (water and bread) but I truly thought everything was well worth the money: from the service to the food to the atmosphere. First of all they gave us glasses of complimentary wine which was so kind of them and such a great way to start off our dinner. Later they also gave us a small complimentary tasting of something the chef made, but unfortunately I can't remember exactly what it was. All I remember was that it was very good! The bread was so fluffy and had the best texture, and the butter was honestly to die for...whatever it was! Even though you do have to pay for it, I'd say the bread is worth it. Get the bread. For our appetizers we ordered the beef tartare and wagyu carpaccio as well as the trio of scallop crudo. They both were super tasty, unique, and flavorful but between the two, the tartare and wagyu carpaccio was my favorite!! For our entrees we got the ahi tuna and prime beef tenderloin. I cannot say enough good things about these dishes. Highly recommend both! If I had to choose a favorite between these two, I'd probably go with the beef tenderloin. It was just cooked perfectly and the potatoes and the rest of the sides on the dish were such a good touch that complimented the beef so perfectly. My boyfriend and I came here last night to celebrate our three months anniversary. We made a reservation ahead of time and one of the staff members called the day of to make sure we were coming. Parking might be a little difficult on normal days because the restaurant is right on the corner on Comm Ave and Mass Ave, but luckily a car left the spot that was right in front when we arrived. Coming into the restaurant we are greeted with every staff member who made eye contact was us, they took a few minutes to sanitize the table before walking us over, and even wished us Happy Anniversary. Everyone was extremely nice! The tables were set far apart (maybe not six feet but far enough I suppose). The menus were printed on paper, probably so they can discard afterwards. They only offered distilled water in a bottle ($7) or sparkling, we opted for distilled. We ordered a glass of Chardonnay and Playa Picante for drinks. The cocktail has cayenne in it where you can definitely taste the hint of spice, it was interesting. Items from the menu that we ordered include crispy duck confit and foie gras as appetizers; Long Island duck breast and seared tenderloin for entrees, and chocolate mousse for dessert. The crispy duck confit was very crispy, a little salty but the sour taste from the sauces balanced it well. The foie gras is a must! I absolutely loved how they paired it with banana bread. The entrees did not disappoint! The tenderloin was SO tender, we asked for medium rare - we got exactly medium rare. I really liked the sweet potato puree and roasted potato. The duck breast tasted so creamy and tender, I definitely recommend it! The dessert was a bit small for being $18 but we really wanted something so that they restaurant can write Happy Anniversary on it. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and I would definitely come back. It is pricey but you get the quality you're paying for, it's worth it for a special evening out. Had my birthday dinner here with my family. It was a pleasant day. Got to sit outside and have a quit city dinner. The staff was friendly a little confused with some things on the menu, but it was no big deal. Most of the food was just okay. I loved the cheese plate and wine that I had paired with it. My main course was just okay. Got the lamb and it was a Greek style. Wasn't the biggest fan. It tasted like any other Greek dish I could've gotten for less than $20. The plate was bright and colorful atleast, but the watermelon salad that went with the lamb was not good. I'm really confused why someone would pair watermelon with ground lamb. The pepper sauce mixed with the lamb just tasted like taco meat sauce with watermelon. The tuna tartar was really good, but again they put watermelon in that for some reason. Went better with the tuna than the lamb The scallop dish tasted just okay too. It was good, but nothing about it really amazed me. The only thing I thought was really good was the tortellini that my sister got. It had a lot of flavor and was good fresh pasta. I really regret not ordering the duck. I don't know maybe I'll come back and try that another time. Either way the experience wasn't really that memorable for a birthday dinner in a good way. I'm still wondering to this day who pairs watermelon with ground lamb! read more

Celebrated my birthday there. The service was very friendly and the food was amazing! The duck breast is must try and even salad presentation is impressive ~ duck liver is smooth and rich and the desert crème brûlée has foie gras flavored ice cream, which is very unique and special. Highly recommend this place for a special event celebration. read more

What's the difference of Deuxave's Standard seats and High Top seats?
There are 3-4 high top tables next to the bar, they overlook Comm Ave and the patio. It would be a more casual experience as the tables are smaller and you'd see more activity. The standard tables are in the main dining area.
Was this restaurant on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares S5E3? I just watched the episode and that was hilarious. Anyone?
I highly doubt it. The food is off the charts spectacular & the presentations are art work not to mention incredible wine list & service. I'd be shocked if it was the restaurant.
