I visited Desert Title & Tag (aka Desert Title) on a referral from a friend. I wanted to buy a car from out of state and had received conflicting info from MVD offices about what needed to be notarized. The blonde lady greeted us and checked her sheet then cleared up that question. She asked if I wanted a price quote and I gave her the VIN. I now had all the info I needed. Bought the car, came back and the fees were exactly as quoted. Took under 10 mins for an out of State transfer, new plates, sticker and registration. Wow, that is service that you don't get at the State run offices! read more

Just moved here from SF and had some questions regarding registration of our cars. Cindi and her team were amazing! They answered all of our questions and super nice during the process. Thanks ladies! read more

-Please Read- Desert titles is by far the worst places you can go to. My father passed and my mother is bedridden. We have been trying to sell his truck for money to help with bills. We were desperate and in a time crunch. Desert title said They needed original paperwork from our court for our estate. Which is physically impossible to possess an original copy of. They blatantly went out of their way to make our lives miserable. Simply because they did not want to help us. We ended up going through another third party with the same information and they helped us. This is an honest review, it happened the 23rd of April just as a warning for everyone out there. Thanks read more

Excellent Service. In and out quick for our car title exchange. Very clean office. No wait. Definitely will use again.

I have used Desert Title for years. They are so much faster than the DMV. Their service is excellent and their fees are very reasonable. It is a no-brainer, unless you like waiting in long lines and being herded like cattle. Then stick with the DMV. read more

This place is the best 3rd party MVD. They are quick and never have long lines. I Always recommend family and friends to this company.

I have used Desert Title several times and have been Very pleased with the staff and the service!!! Mackenzi was very helpful today. I highly recommend this place. read more

I've been a client of this business for about 2 years. It is *SO MUCH* more convenient than going to the MVD. I used to renew online but one time I never received the new tags. That perturbed me. They didn't refund the charge on my credit card so after that, I started using third party title agencies. Desert Title Services has done an excellent job each time I've come. I highly recommend this business!!! read more

I had the best experience at Desert Title & Tag! I need to sell my vehicle and went in to get help with my title. I was helped right away by Chris T. He answered all my questions and told me exactly what I needed to do to transfer my title to a buyer. I have never sold a car myself before and he helped me in a huge way! I am so grateful I found this place and will be recommending it to everyone!!! read more

I relocated from CA to AZ. Katie A (Gilbert office) should be part of the AZ welcoming committee. She was extremely helpful, informative, and compassionate. She made our visit painless. I was impressed with the whole office and extremely impressed with Katie A. Thank you for your friendly and excellent service. read more

I've always had good solid service here, even complex title issues. They've been friendly to me and they are my go to for many DMV style transactions. I'll never go to the MVD/DMV as long as these guys are in business. Professional facility and while they can be a bit short now and then, I imagine they get some challenging customers.....who don't understand title... read more

This place is great if you like going somewhere 3 days in a row and told they're not taking any more walk ins an hour before their posted signs and voicemail say they stop taking walk ins. Unlike other third party dmvs this place will not go out of their way to help you out at all. They're under staffed and don't have a supervisor on staff so they are unable to do certain transactions which may leave you without the ability to legally drive your vehicle even though all your paperwork has been 100% correct the whole time. It should also be noted that the receptionist told me their reason for not taking any more walk ins was their wait list was too long and people were waiting in their cars, to my surprise when I got outside the parking lot was empty. She just wanted to go home early and doesn't care about helping paying customers at all. read more

Desert Title Services - This place does not care about good service. Go somewhere else. - Departments of Motor Vehicles Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

Was in and out super fast today! No wait. Prompt service. Appreciate them helping me renew registration and update drivers license! Also went to them because they are a Gilbert Chamber of Commerce member! :) read more

So pleasantly surprised by the short wait and excellent customer service on a Saturday morning no less! Would highly recommend!!

Very friendly and helpful. Crazy what they have to do on behalf of the state of Arizona to change a title from a lease to a person. Cynthia went up and beyond explaining and working with us. Would totally recommend this place to do all title work and license. read more

Great experience! Wonderful customer service and very helpful! We had a dog eating title experience and fortunately the folks here were able to assist me with resolving quickly and smoothly! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Highly recommend!!! I will absolutely return here before I go to mvd guaranteed!!! read more

Great service, no lines to wait in and friendly employees. Best option for services instead of MVD.

Wow, just left this place. Heard great things however the lady (Debbie) was the rudest person I have come across in a long time. It was as if she was mad at me as I walked through the door. She needs a new job because she looks and acts miserably to customers. If I managed this place, I would fire her immediately. I will go back to the long lines of the DMV. At least there I know what I am getting. Long lines and bureaucratic indifference. I do not expect that from a private business. You suck Debbie... read more

There's not much more in life I dread than having to go into the DMV. Ive been putting off registering my out of state vehicle for a while and it came time where my tags were about to expire. I did a quick search on yelp to hope, by the grace of God, that I could find a place to register my vehicle without going into the dreaded DMV. What a relief it was finding this place. I called ahead of time to ask if they could even do it and a very pleasant lady answered the phone and told me exactly what I needed! I went in 15 minutes later and walked out with new registration and a sweet USA flag AZ license plate. Whole process took roughly 20 minutes (mostly my fault because I had to go back out to my car to read the odometer) Overall... Pros: No line Great employees Very efficient Cons: They don't do Drivers licenses (not until September roughly, one of the employees had said) I'll be back once they can get me a new license! read more

When registering a trailer to a business or LLC, you don't have to register it as commercial. There's a certification you sign that allows for non-commercial use. Don't let them try and talk you into paying way more for commercial and non-permanent plates. read more

Very good customer support and commitment. I interacted with various employees who helped me progress through a bonded title on a very old car. Everyone was fabulous and willing to coach me on the process , or offer additional services- never was I uncomfortably up sold or turned away for asking questions. If you're looking for an alternative to the (abhorrent) DMV for simple things, or you want to understand more complex issues like bonded titles, this place has it all. read more

In and out in less than 15 minutes, everybody was really friendly. Certainly worth the couple extra bucks for convenience.

Refused to register an EV vehicle stating that emissions testing is required. I can not recommend this business.

Not too helpful... was told that Arizona stopped doing title only and was told I must register my motorcycle that Isn't ridden on public roads. Went down the street to another 3rd party and walked out with my title only 20 mins later read more

By far the best third party MVD I've been to. Amazing customer service, quick and efficient. When I got there I was called up immediately by Heather. They even had tools to help me mount my license plate. Highly recommend them. Just a heads up the only thing they don't do is anything issuing license ID. read more

I highly recommend desert title. I've been going there for years. Always in and out quick. People are very helpful and friendly.

In and out in 5min, Michelle was awesome. Great customer service, no MVD lines, I'll be back.

As a bank employee that works extensively in the manufactured home loans sector, I have come to rely heavily on Lisa E. at Desert Title. We have used their services for transferring titles for years, but during the pandemic switched to sending titles directly to the MVD. NO MORE! We have gone back to sending all of our work to Lisa because she is a true professional. She knows the manufactured home title industry better than anyone in the business. Also, her customer service is second to none. When we have questions, she is quick to answer with thorough information. I call her the title guru, as she has proven time and again how knowledgeable she is. I hope Desert Title is taking good care of her, as I don't know what we'd do without her expertise and friendly assistance. As a side note, Desert Title handles vehicle titles with such a professional touch, and short wait times, even when they're busy. There is an additional fee to use their service, but well worth every penny for the time saved, as well as the professional knowledge and helpfulness. Please, please, please, take your title work to Desert Title! Save yourself from the MVD angst! read more

What a great place. Easy, convenient, fast and friendly service. Walked out with a title and plates in about 15 minutes. Thank you!

Lisa is the best. She is professional and kind, handling our company and personal needs. I will never go anywhere else. Be proud of her. She is one of a kind! read more

Every one was amazing and super helpful! Chris was a life saver and did everything to assist me. I left another dmv that said they wouldn't help me and came here and they did it all in 20 minutes. I've been going to Desert Title for years for my registration needs. I am grateful to see the same friendly faces for over a decade. They have always been very helpful and efficient with my needs. I highly recommend their services. I will never wait in line at the DMV again. read more

If you're doing any kind of commercial or apportioned plates find someplace else to go. They require items not required in other places. We spoke to them yesterday on Friday and explained what we needed. They gave us no additional instructions when we told them we only needed to perfect the liens on the paperwork. When we arrived they required additional items and shut us down when we had to have this work done prior to Monday morning. The agent we started working with was cold and rude in my opinion. I usually work with Arizona Trucking Association and never have these kind of issues. Last time I will ever come here. read more

Great service I was lo and out in less then 15min. Well worth it compared to the DMV where you would wait for 40min just so they can tell you you were in the wrong line . read more
