I thought I could…read moreonly do this at the DMV, which is closed on weekends, so I was pleasantly surprised to find Desert Title Motor Vehicle Services. I called ahead to inquire about the service I needed and they said to come on in. I didn't have an appointment, but fortunately didn't have to wait long. Once it was my turn, the process was super quick. It took no more than ten minutes. I paid around $120 and received the new title in the mail within a couple of weeks. The man who processed it was pleasant and helpful.

People with appointments or walk ins can check in at one of the kiosks in the lobby. You then will be directed to which line to wait in. (A B or C) I was called to the counter at 9:26 am and left the building at 9:39 am. Carmen was knowledgeable and kind. She reviewed my documentation, I signed the paperwork then she took my photo.Completed, in record time! Now I'm hoping to see if USPS comes through just as efficiently. ;)

The entire process took about five minutes, start to finish. I almost couldn't believe it. Drew was completely on top of things helpful, efficient, and clearly paying attention to the flow of customers. What really surprised me was the lack of a line. This location is usually extremely busy, but on this particular visit, most people were on the ID and driving test side. I've never come here and gotten in and out so quickly, so I'm calling it my lucky day! Huge thanks to Drew for making what is typically a time-consuming errand feel effortless.

So, if you've got the hour to wait across the street at the DMV, you could save yourself some money. If you're in a rush or it's the weekend, this place could be worth the costly fees. I was here last week, filled out an application, their system was down, had to come back. I had to return to complete the application and my dumbass paid the $65. I should have gone to the DMV.

You may check in up to 15 minutes early. Otherwise it will direct you to a longer line if you don't have an appointment or arrive earlier. I got a new photograph taken, went over some personal information, signed one document and paid my fee. I have a temporary license. Boom, I was done! They have their own parking lot.
