Decided to be nostalgic and check out the Denny's near me for a quick breakfast. Waitress was awesome! She was friendly and kept us posted on updates with our food since we came on a busy Sunday. She kept coming back to refill the coffee too. Food is what you'd expect from Denny's. I got the Santa Fe skillet. Flavor was good, but it was decently greasy from the chorizo. I'd go back and try something without chorizo next time to see if it's less greasy. But the flavor of the chorizo was great!

Made an online order on the app and was never notified it was ready the worker said it had been ready over half an hour ago. But no one worker decided to call and notify us it was ready.

15 min wait with 6 chairs outside door to support your load :D…read more We opted for in or out and were seated outside under umbrellas next to a large a/c unit that was blowing cold air on feet and droning sound and on a cloudy day, server offered to turn off without us even asking, thx Colby, he did a magic job for our party of 5. Tried black Decaf Coffee $2.75 though he wasn't sure what it was -- excellent flavor, dark roast, clean, no burnt caramel afterburn. Cinni Roll Pancake $8 for 10"-11" was 5/5 delish, crisp on exterior and soft and puffy 1/2" thick with sweet cream cheese glaze drizzled all over. Would get that to side next time as I watch sugars but still craving another bite day after! Definitely returning just for this! $23.50 oops Alexis Burnt the Meet was just aok but split charge $1.50 and served in a bowl looks cool but eating it turns everything into a sloppy mess. Would advise avoid the charge and ask for a 2nd plate so you can better delineate flavors. Also changed tots to hash browns, avoiding the fryer, so that also made it more mushy. Burnt ends very greasy and fatty so no do over but will go for a diff plate next time. The Cinful pancake will keep you a-coming so lots of options to try next plus they didn't have waffles available so that's a must do too!

A pet friendly patio is at the back. Menus are pretty big with a variety of preconceived dishes although they seem OK with substitutions. My friend tells me they have a turkey sausage option for those who don't eat pork sausage. Our waitress was very friendly, kept our waters filled and checked in on us often. All our food was well prepared and there were plenty of left overs. My mocha cold brew was full of flavor and not too sweet with lots of that coffee flavor shining through. So glad I ordered that with the optional whipped cream on top! Thanks to our friends information we received a military discount on our order. We won't see our friends for a while and we sat at the table talking. After paying our tab the waitress let us know we could stay to visit and offered to refill our waters if wanted. Very sweet. Two gender neutral restroom are down a hallway at the back. Highchairs and booster seats are available. A pet friendly outdoor patio is at the back. Parking is in a shared lot with a handicap spot near the entrance.

It's a very casual place staffed by kind and welcoming students, and the food is genuinely good. The Smoked Salmon Beni stood out in the reviews, and it did not disappoint when I finally got to try it. I'll be attaching a photo, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I also noticed the shaved steak sandwich on the menu and in several Yelp photos, so I'll definitely have to come back and try that next. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and overall character of the place.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

9.5/10 | Absolutely Amazing!…read more Everything about this place was fantastic! I ordered the mole enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious. The mole tasted exactly how authentic mole should taste, rich and full of flavor. I even mixed my side of rice into the mole because it was THAT good! To drink, I had the Mazapán horchata, and WOW! Coming from El Paso, where there's no shortage of amazing horchata, I can confidently say this was probably the best I've ever had. For dessert, I had the pastel de galleta, and it was easily one of the best desserts I've ever tasted. So simple, yet so incredibly delicious! On top of the amazing food, the hospitality and service were a solid 10/10! The staff made the entire experience even better, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Overall, this place absolutely exceeded my expectations. 9.5/10 experience, 10/10 hospitality, and I will definitely be coming back!

The sauce was a deep red, delightfully spicy and rich. The last time I had the Chilaquiles Divoriciados and that choice was great too. These chilaquiles reminded me of my Mexican Nana's and even my British Mum's, who had been taught by my Nana. I can't wait to go back and try the lunch or dinner menus!

Only open for breakfast, this little coffee shop packs in a lot of charm. I parked in the small lot in front. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely charming. It's a grab-and-go place for some, but for those that stay, there's a decent amount of seating outside. You're surrounded by a nice garden area, so it makes for a nice place to enjoy your beverage or some food. As long as the weather cooperates. Service (5/5): You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer. The lady working the counter was super friendly. A bright smile goes a long way. She was lovely. Drinks (5/5): While I'm not a coffee drinker, I'm a big fan of lemonade. They have a berry lemonade that has berries in it (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries). Good size and it was very refreshing. One of the best lemonades I've had in quite some time. Food (4/5): Barista is known for its breakfast burritos and I love a good breakfast burrito. You'll find your usual ingredients here for the most part e.g. chorizo, egg, potato, bacon, ham, etc. Which I could have easily done. Instead, I decided to roll the dice and get my burrito with macheca. Which is a dried out Sonoran beef jerky of sorts. Heavily spiced. With a bit of a kick. I had never had it, and I must say, I'm not a huge fan. The lady who took my order complicated this gringo on my selection, but too strong of a taste for me. I'm sure I would've enjoyed one of the other proteins more. With that being said, it's a good portion (essentially two burros) and it was grilled nicely. It made for a filling, and satisfying, breakfast on the road.
