Waffle House is the better chili in tucson. Full and thick no juice. Go there and try it.

First off, I wish Waffle house would open in CA!! I was so excited to dine in at Waffle House for the first time. Literally the best service at a casual dining restaurant that I have ever been to. The server was very kind, quick to take our order, checked in several times to drop off syrup, jams, and told us not to rush. I asked if we could purchase a Waffle House coffee mug and she told us they do not sell merchandise in store..only on Amazon or on their website. FYI - Like many restaurants now with the nationwide egg shortage, they added a temporary egg surcharge of $0.50 per egg. We ordered the Breakfast Meal ($7.50 - 2 eggs, toast, hashbrowns) and the All star Special ($13.25 - 2 eggs, waffles, bacon & tomatoes). The breakfast came out fast and was delicious especially the soft, warm, waffles!! The butter melted quickly on the waffles and the syrup was perfect. I'm loving Waffle House and please open in CA!!!

On our way to El Paso, the family got hungry, so we decided to stop by Waffle House. I honestly expected a standard experience, but I was pleasantly surprised--it was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly, and our waiter was genuinely kind to my son, which made us feel so welcome. The restaurant had that classic old-school diner feel, bringing back a lot of nostalgia. And the food? Absolutely delicious. My wife and I shared a waffle, but we also got a burger and a breakfast plate on the side. Safe to say, anytime I'm passing through El Paso, I'll be making a stop here again!

My very first Waffle House experience! We don't have any in the PNW so when we were visiting Tucson for the first time - thought it would be a great idea. It reminded me of a Denny's (which is common in PNW). The atmosphere was very neat, service was good and pricing was reasonable. This location was convenient as it was close to the freeway. Highly recommend giving it a shot

What's not to like. Inexpensive tasty food served with a smile. Breakfast for dinner With an old friend. Gotta love it .

Freddie the Greeter! This place has him! He even has his own YouTube channel. Great service, great food. They should do something about the pesky flies around. We had sides of hash browns, bacon and, of course, a waffle. You don't leave this place hungry. A classic!

Stopped here on our way back from El Paso to Lancaster. We had been driving for hours and I got a grumble on my stomach. I wanted to sit down and have some coffee so I found this gem on Yelp. I am sure glad I did. When we walked in we were greeted by the most friendly waiters. She took our order and brought our drinks fast. We were able to see our food being prepared and it came out in a great time. We inhaled that good food and then hit the road. Shout out to the server for giving us a coffee to go.

Our first time visiting a Waffle House, and by mere luck we're at Freddy the Greeter's location! A Tucson ICON! I can see why his name gets around. He is a character and a friendly man overall :) A great start to my Waffle House experience. By the way, he did mention he's only here on weekends. We ordered the Sausage Egg and Cheese on Texas Toast and the Bacon Texas Cheesesteak Melt, each with a side of hasbrowns. I also got a cup of chili. I will say, the fact that I can add all these toppings to my hasbrowns was a game changer!! Mushrooms, jalapeños, onion, and chili! DEE-LISH. 5/5 stars for my first time at Waffle House.

My husband and I went to this location for the first time together (and his first time since college) on a Sunday morning. It was busy with a wait, but the greeter and host, Freddie, was so kind and made sure to seat us as soon as a spot opened up. Our waitress, Willow, was also friendly and fast. We enjoyed sitting at the classic counter and watching the chefs at work. My sandwich was delicious, and the peppered and covered hashbrowns were everything I hoped they'd be. My husband enjoyed his All Star Special, and we shared the chocolate chip waffle for "dessert". We will definitely be back to this location!

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. (well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. I love food too, and I love here. Try this place. Today.

As a whole, I feel like the side pairing of challah toast with jam and butter is an odd choice. I also ordered the iced Thai tea, which was quite weak. Overall--I wasn't really feeling it. When you go to Teaspoon, you're really paying for ambience over quality. There's no issue with the service here, from hosts to wait staff. The food is simply underwhelming, and thus so is the experience. I wouldn't be mad to return, but I don't know if this would ever be my suggestion.

The brisket was delicious, the sourdough was top tier, and the tomatoes, spinach, and gyure cheese all worked so well together with the sausage gravy on top...I was in heaven. It came topped with two perfectly poached eggs and the side potatoes were tremendous. Perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and starchy on the inside. We also got the Chilaquiles Verde and I was super impressed. The pork was incredibly moist and again they absolutely nailed the poached eggs. The green chile sauce had great flavor without being overly spicy, which I appreciated because I like flavor but not too much heat first thing in the morning. The tortilla strips stayed crispy the whole time and it came with a side of mixed fruit, which is always a winner in my book. Of course I couldn't pass up dessert. We tried the lemon blueberry lavender olive oil cake, which is gluten free. It was pretty crumbly (maybe due to being gf?) and I'm probably still 50/50 on lavender as a flavor, but overall it was pretty good. The coconut cream pie was the real standout for me though. Super creamy with great coconut flavor and the slice was huge! Our waiter did a pretty good job and even though the patio was fairly busy, it stayed comfortable because everything was shaded. There were a few flies hanging around, but that is kind of the tradeoff for sitting outside. The interior dining room looked really cute too, so maybe next time I'll try sitting inside. Overall, I liked it and there's a few more things on the menu I want to try so I'll definitely be back. It was a great little brunch spot.
