On 6-14-26 around 8:45 pm I stopped to eat at Waffle House on Grant road and I-10. I was discriminated against very bad by the wait staff. They never waited on me. They never looked at me all because in my opinion, I was wearing my gay pride shirt cause I just came back from the gay Pride swimming pool party at Tuxon. I walked inside the restaurant, grab my seat and started looking at the menu and the waiter just kept walking by never asked me anything. Next thing you know I know another person walks in that person sits down the waiter gives them their silverware ask what they wanna order. Ask what they want to drink and he gets his food and I still haven't mince asked what I wanted to eat. At this point the cook who is not his job to wait on people said hey are you gonna wait on this guy? He's been here way before this guy they still didn't do anything so the cook out of the generosity of his heart asked me what I wanted to eat what I wanted to drink. He's the one that took my order. He's the one that got my drink, cooked my food and served me. Again, I have never felt so discriminated against embarrassed like people were looking at me so I just got my food. Ate it and paid my bill and left. I don't know about you guys, but this is my first time being discriminated against and it didn't feel very good so be careful when you go to that to that waffle house if you ever go if you're in a discriminate if you're in a class that you can be discriminated against. I did file a complaint with Waffle House on their corporate website and they forwarded my information onto the on-site owner of the business and I have yet hurt anything cause I just sent it as of yesterday. I think as a gay community that I live in we have a very strong gay community community in Gen. I think we should boycott that place and pretty much show them that they can't be discriminated against. That's all I really have to say I just wanted to get it out there and let them know that I was discriminated against and I'm not gonna tolerate it not in this day and age. The place was clean, the food was perfect (smothered hashbrowns and pecan waffles deserve their own fan club), and our waitress was amazing. But the true main character here is Freddy! First off, I wish Waffle house would open in CA!! I was so excited to dine in at Waffle House for the first time. Literally the best service at a casual dining restaurant that I have ever been to. The server was very kind, quick to take our order, checked in several times to drop off syrup, jams, and told us not to rush. I asked if we could purchase a Waffle House coffee mug and she told us they do not sell merchandise in store..only on Amazon or on their website. FYI - Like many restaurants now with the nationwide egg shortage, they added a temporary egg surcharge of $0.50 per egg. We ordered the Breakfast Meal ($7.50 - 2 eggs, toast, hashbrowns) and the All star Special ($13.25 - 2 eggs, waffles, bacon & tomatoes). On our way to El Paso, the family got hungry, so we decided to stop by Waffle House. I honestly expected a standard experience, but I was pleasantly surprised--it was fantastic! Met a friend and after some quick online research, discovered that you can order some custom stuff if the restaurant is quiet enough. Simba Savannah hooked it up! Stopped here on our way back from El Paso to Lancaster. We had been driving for hours and I got a grumble on my stomach. I wanted to sit down and have some coffee so I found this gem on Yelp. I am sure glad I did. When we walked in we were greeted by the most friendly waiters. She took our order and brought our drinks fast. My husband and I went to this location for the first time together (and his first time since college) on a Sunday morning. It was busy with a wait, but the greeter and host, Freddie, was so kind and made sure to seat us as soon as a spot opened up. Our waitress, Willow, was also friendly and fast. We enjoyed sitting at the classic counter and watching the chefs at work. My sandwich was delicious, and the peppered and covered hashbrowns were everything I hoped they'd be. All I can say here is decent hashbrowns. I actually had it in my head that I was craving a waffle house waffle. So I went and asked how much for just a plain waffle. 4.75. That didn't seem to bad as their waffles must be outstanding in order for it to be their namesake. Definitely not the case. They are ridiculous. Even frozen grocery store waffles put their waffles to shame. Service was good and their hashbrowns were very good, but it's not the hashbrown house. All in all, just disappointing. There are a ton of breakfast restaurants anymore and unless I'm in a diar situation, I probably won't make the mistake of eating at waffle house for another 20 years. read more

Well, at first glance, when I arrived at the restaurant, it was a little sketch, not gonna lie. I felt like I wasn't in the greatest part of town. A lot of people wandering around outside, looking a little like zombies if you know what I mean. But let me tell you the food and the service that Waffle House provided put me right at ease making the visit so worth it. The restaurant itself is lit up, bright as can be, the staff was very attentive making this visit short and sweet. I personally had a chocolate chip, waffle and hashbrowns, smothered, covered and chunked with white gravy, and I added one final ingredient, and that was the chili. It's the ultimate comfort food.
