Horrible service on this Monday evening. She didn't come back to check on us once food had been served, something of ours was cooked wrong. I wasn't even asking for her to do something, just merely informing her and she snapped at me and was extremely rude. During this exchange we had our dirty dishes on the table and a good waitress would have taken them and brought us our check. Instead, we had to wait 15 more minutes after being completely done with our meal and then went to get our checks ourselves. Horrible service, food was mediocre compared to other Denny's. We walked in and it was very busy for a Saturday evening. Even though there was limited seating they were understanding when we asked to sit with some new friends even though we didn't even arrive with then and that they didn't seem to see us when we walked in for a long time! Haha The waitress seemed to be a mind reader when it came to refilling our waters and was SO accommodating I just couldn't believe.one of our friends made a very unconventional meal request that made us all a little uncomfortable (she asked to replace hash browns with onion rings :/ ) but the waitress dos not seem to bat an eye!! Terrible service. Waitress saw us walk in and didn't even acknowledge us even if the place was practically empty. We sat ourselves down and waited ten minutes for a menu, while the employees were chatting right in front of us. We got here and it was packed and we were still seated in less than five mins. With how busy it was i thought it might take a bit for us to have our order taken but we were seated, received an appetizer and had our meal in front of us in the span of 15 minutes. The meal was super awesome as it always is so kudos to the efficient cooks. Ivan was our server and he was absolutely incredible. He was friendly, fast and was so with every table he had. Today I went in for dinner. No one acknowledge my present so I had a seat. The place was not busy. The lady that cleans up the table was nice enough to bring me coffee. Waited for 15 min with out being at knowledge. Manager and 2 servers and no one introduced them self. Management looking at the screen with 2 orders and did not acknowledge me. Until I decided to leave everyone acknowledge me. I looked from the outside in and sad to know that they all started to figure out what happen. Funny that when you are their no one cares. As soon as you leave with out paying your coffee they start asking questions. All I wanted was dinner and no one helped me but a nice lady that cleans tables. Who should manage the restaurant? We tried a local "country inn" type place accross the street and were very dissapointed. We were very surprised when we went to Denny's and found Lori efficiently working a whole line of tables. Our wait was minimimal, the tables were bussed and clean, the price, of course, can't be beat, but what was really great was the happy, confident, competence Lori brought to the morning. She was quick with a little friendly kidding as she teased out what we wanted for breakfast, made a few suggestions for new items and specials and was quickly off to the next table. She's an asset to that location for sure and the reason I went back the next day. Wasted none of my time or my money. Clean, quick, organized, and affordable. read more

Horrible customer service and deceptive business practices. They would not accept the coupon they'd sent us even after the manager was consulted. Unfortunately, we'd already received our drinks, so we paid for those and got up to leave. Then the manager was consulted again and we were told they would accept the coupon "this time" as if *we* were trying to pull something over on *them*. The manager apparently didn't bother to actually read the coupon. Luckily, Temecula has many other food options. I'd rather pay a bit more and not feel mistreated. read more

Not impressed with this Denny's. In fact, it has probably the worst service that I have experienced at a Denny's in years. We were a party of 4 and they we slow to seat us even though there were only about 6 full tables. Our waitress only came by twice and forgot to put in my child's food so everyone got their food before. Our food didn't come out as very hot. It took some time to get our order taken. The waitress on our side was pretty old and slow and looked like she was really struggling; she was definitely not up for the job and the customers suffered for it. The manager finally came around and took our order saying something about forgetting this side of the restaurant. After the manager took our order we didn't receive any service, no one came around to ask how we were doing or give us refills etc. We waited a pretty long time for our food and when it finally showed up it was cold and had to be sent back and be re-made. The waitress that brought the food said she happened to notice it sitting there (forgotten) and brought it out. The older waitress working our side pretty much ignored us and just served one table the whole time. Aside from being annoyed, I did feel bad for her. The manager finally came by and asked about getting us refills and explained how she was short staffed because she wasn't given enough people and the register broke and something was always breaking etc., etc. She didn't seem genuinely sorry, she just complained and gave us reasons why we had such crappy service and a lousy experience. When we checked out she didn't offer any kind of compensation for our trouble. Denny's has definitely gone downhill and it just keeps getting worse. read more

This Denny's in Rancho California Rd., in Temecula CA has the nicest staff. Cheerful attitudes, always prompt to respond, personable individuals, from the manager to the servers, and all in between. The problem is with the overall impression, or should I say taste of the food they serve. If one was to believe their television ads, the way the food looks on the tube, then no problems would be found. Regretfully, Denny's seems to be a franchise hanging by a thread. Prices are definitely a la par with finer establishments, even though they have their 2, 4, 6, 8 special menu. Their regular menu never fails to disappoint. Take for instance their well established breakfast menu. On the picture most of the choices look very enticing. Like the Lumberjack choice, almost at $11 dollars. Two eggs, two toasted slices of bacon (probably waiting under a heat lamp longer than it should be), a slice of grilled ham that in the picture looks just right, arrives looking significantly smaller, and dry like new shoe leather. Of course it will be eaten. Hey!, it is a major player in the ensemble, and can not be discounted. Two links of sausage of doubtful lineage, meaning wherever they are made, quality is not an important consideration. There are so many food factories that makes this kind of food devoid of quality. Still, it gets consumed. Then two slices of bread, and two pancakes formulated for the franchise. Their coffee as of late was tasting more like chicory. Yes, there must be some items that are better, but none that merits return trips. According to the rumors, Denny's gets a lot of their action with the late night crowd, where things pick up in more ways than one, and tends to loose its family atmosphere for a more possible seedier option. Yet, it is a place to eat, but sadly not a good one. How difficult is to prepare good food? That is the question haunting this place. 2 Stars. read more

This place is TERRIBLE. I've been here 2 times with my fiancé in the last year. The first time we got an older waitress who wasn't very attentive...I wish I could remember her name..whatever..we decided to turn a new leaf and give this place a second chance. Well we walked in tonight and waited about 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. Got seated and waited another 15 minutes to get our drinks. Our waitress Darce was polite and provided ok service. Buuuut the managers friend decided she was gonna come in sit behind us and bawl her eyes out about her personal life to the manager and for all the customers to hear and see. How embarrassing. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this Denny's anymore. Supposably they're going to remodel the inside...the restaurant itself shouldn't be the concern..but rather the staff. We never really like going to Denny's but once we came the first time we started to come back. The sevice is good and the food is not that bad. Not feeling this place. Every time we go our service is poor, the food is cold/ messed up and we are filled with regret. The prices are up there too especially when you get jack in the box food for IHOP prices. Somewhere like Swing Inn or the Broken Yolk is a much better place to spend your money. read more

Have had Denny's at other locations before and order the same thing every time nachos. They're my favorite but seriously for some reason they were not so great that day. They offered to make them again or talk to their manager, normally I would, but I turned them down. Our waitress was Gina and she was great so nice and always on top of our drink refills. I don't normally leave bad reviews of any establishments because I tend to give them a little leniency, but today, Saturday 07/08/17 around 1030am I had the worst customer service experience from this store location. My friend and I are studying for our boards and decided to eat at this location. There were only a very few spots in this restaurant that have access to an outlet so we can charge our computer. I had went around to check if there were any available tables close to an outlet. Before I even sat down, Randi the general manager, went up to me and demanded, " You shouldn't be doing that!" Confused, I asked her "Do what?" And she claimed that I was soliciting money from other customers. She stated that one of the servers saw me doing such. Mind you, we've only spoken to one server at this point, the one who sat us down and told us that she'll be right back with some menus. At this point, the server who claimed that he saw me, walked up, coming from the kitchen, to join in and started saying that he saw and heard me. My friend and I were appalled at this blatant accusation. The server who sat us down even validated what we said and told the other server that she just literally just sat us down and grabbed the menus. Mind you, all of this was happening with their voices in loud and in front of other customers. I do believe that there are honest mistakes, but this could have been handled way differently. Apologizing with a half smirk on your face does not indicate sincerity. I used to be in this line of work and situations like this should be dealt with in private and away from other customers. Honestly, that one star rating is still a bit generous, I will not return to this location again and most definitely share this story to people I know. read more
