We went here for brunch with a party of 9 (5 adults, 4 children; 10mo, 3yo,6yo, 9yo) at 11:15 AM, after church. We were told it would be a 20-30 wait; which was reasonable. Several minutes later, the host requested us to wait in our cars "to make room for the coming lunch rush". She just asked us the leave the #empty waiting room and wait in our cars. We were not allowed to stay. We asked her again to clarify, and she indicated that they cannot have people occupy the waiting area, as the lunch rush comes in. There was enough seating in the waiting area for our entire party to be seated while waiting. We asked to speak with the manager to clarify their request. He indicated that they had requested it but he said we could now stay. We said we will honour their initial request, and had an amazing lunch at Boston Pizza.

I make it to Denny's about once a year - usually for their Free Birthday Deal. This is the closest Denny's to South Surrey with plenty of free parking. The restaurant was buzzing half full of customers, we got seated into a booth and our server was quick to greet us. I told him about my birthday and he was quick to explain the deal - $11.29 off your meal with valid I.D. - easy peasy and a good discount off my food. I ordered the Double Berry Banana Pancake Breakfast ($12.49). The sunnyside eggs were perfectly cooked and warm. The bacon was crispy and tender. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and not too oily. My favourite part were the pancakes - fresh, sweet, big blueberries inside a fluffy pancake topped with fresh bananas and tart strawberries all under a big dollop of whipped cream... it was like a delicious birthday cake! Definitely a Happy Birthday to me! My boyfriend ordered the Prime Rib Eggs Benny. The meat was tender and was great with the soft poached eggs. Overall, our service was friendly and although sometimes we had to wait a little, it was a decent meal at Denny's on a sunny Wednesday afternoon.

Nail in the Banana Pecan Pancake at Denny's

.. Denny's has a special Banana Nail n' Nut Pancake?.. I went to Denny's with few friends and we ordered a steak omellete with pancakes. The taste/quality was good but we were stumped as we found a human nail in my banana pecan pancake. My friend wanted to try a portion of my pancake and he was unlucky enough to get the part of the pancake which had the nail... he chewed on it for a bit before realizing it's not suppposed to be part of the pancake. He took out this thing and cleared out the mess and we could see (on his quickly turned pale face) what clearly was a a goddamn human nail! I took pictures before we left the table just in case and I am attaching it here. My friend was shaken a bit but we just made fun of the situation. I complained to the cashier when were paying for it and the cashier simply responded "ohh really i'm sorry to hear that" and goes about her business like it was no big deal. Nail from the Pancake PHOTO: https://ibb.co/m7bGs5 Our group of friends visit this specific Newton location every few weeks and had the cashier dealt with it better, I would not have taken out time to write this review. Having nail in your food is atrocious..what's even more atrocious is the restaurant not giving a damn about it. Very disappointed. I highly doubt we would visit that location again.

This seemed like a really great stop near the border which was a win as I was nearing hangry status. Funny enough, as we crossed the crosswalk in front of the restaurant the server was outside and happily greeted us and welcomed us in. It's a sort of long and narrow building with the cutest and most eclectic decor around. There was a young girl at the bar as we came in eating cut up pancakes, watching football, and I felt like I had hopped into a cousins kitchen for an impromptu brunch. We walked down the long, narrow hallway, passing cute signs and pictures before the restaurant opened up into a still small dining area with about six tables in front of a huge window that overlooked the harbor and the train tracks. It was quaint and cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. We both ordered a pretty basic breakfast. Mine was two eggs, potatoes, and toast and my partner got the same but with meat. Our server recommended the sausage patty, and it did not disappoint. The potatoes were out of this world slightly under seasoned, but nothing a little salt and pepper and hot sauce couldn't fix, but they were absolutely cooked to perfection so any under seasoning was easily forgettable. The potatoes were what I would normally call pan fried potatoes, but they were the perfect combination of soft and crunchy, and you could tell they were made with so much butter, which was much nicer in flavor than when these are cooked in heavy oil. The sourdough toast was delicious and the eggs were perfectly cooked. They definitely seemed like they were basic eggs and it would've been nice if they were a little more higher quality, but I recognize that that would've driven the overall price up. Food came out really quickly and coffees and waters were filled regularly. Our server was super attentive and you could hear her having conversations with regulars throughout our visit and it was an overall grade vibe. If you like hot sauce, I definitely recommend you try their Viking blood hot sauce. It's made locally and was absolutely delicious. Brought a nice smoky flavor without burning your face off. The meal was a little spendy. I think it was about $17 for the non-meat version and a couple extra bucks for the sausage patty. Coffee was good, but nothing to write home about. I was pleased that they accept cash or card as some of the previous reviews showed that their cash only but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. We will definitely be back!

They have 1 girl working behind the pastries counter and only 2 servers in a packed restaurant. The pastry girl greeted us but the servers were so flustered that I had to flag them down to tell them I had a reservation. My first time here I loved the girly decor but this time all I saw were dirty dishes on the table. The servers looked stressed and one girl even dropped a tray full of glasses. There was a long wait to order, get our food, and get our bill. My friend ordered the pork belly eggs benny and it was as delicious as last time. I ordered the truffled mushroom frittata and it was nothing special. It was mostly overcooked eggs with mushrooms and a slice of toast that tasted plain. I told the server it was my friend's birthday and I wanted something special for her. Last time I ordered creme brûlée and they put sparklers on it and "happy birthday" with icing sugar. This time their dessert options were all brunch items: tiramisu French toast, chocolate French toast, hot cakes. None of them sounded appealing and they brought out vanilla ice cream in a small bowl and presentation was pathetic. This place has gone downhill, will not be returning.

The food had a twist of creativity in both the taste and the look, satisfying your palette and your camera. And just like in Australia, their coffee was good but super tiny. Our favorite dish was the peaches and cream hotcakes. Very refreshing. It also had some cream cheese, so it was sweet and savory. Their chicken on their waffle was very nice as well, but their waffle was a savory waffle. Which took away the pleasant combo of sweet and savory. But still very good. I would just order more friend chicken next time. well cooked, crispy pork belly too mmm. Price was decent as portions were generous. Service was friendly, and the food took a moderate food amount of time. We went at 2pm to eat brunch, so hoping that it wouldn't take longer during more peak hours. Parking is a bit of a hassle as it's underground parking. A bit of a trek to come to the restaurant, but I think that's the norm now in greater Vancouver area. Sadly the norm is also paid parking with no validation. But I won't dock off points for the restaurant for that Their menu rotates, so I would love to come back and try something new.

A bit different than the standard breakfast menu. I had the halipino omelette and my partner had the mushroom omelette. I'm sure it is made with three eggs as it was a lot. NOTE: menu prices are subject to change when using food delivery apps- so shop around! This time around I ordered UberEats, for pickup. My coworkers have ordered from here numerous times and finally.. today was my day. The ambiance was clean, open, and inviting upon entering and I was greeted with a big smile from the man behind the counter, serving two dine-in customers. I was welcomed and given my order, waiting, very quickly, by the front door, and was soon on my way back to work. The Cajun Chicken Burger was tasty, and cooked just right, though the spices were to be desired. I love my Cajun food, but here, they were overwhelmed by the other accoutrements on the bun itself. It almost may as well have been salted/peppered at most. That said, the Two juicy pieces of white meat chicken? How can you go wrong! The only way, would be if you don't ready yourself with some napkins - my chicken was sliding all over l, out of the bun, and my hands were covered in mayo. But, it was worth it to pop those birds back in and chomp away~ My fries were crispy, crackly, and fluffy on the inside, without too much grease. They were fried to perfection and when paired with the delicious gravy (tastes like chicken!) I was beyond pleased. Smooth, creamy gravy with savoury notes, that tastes homemade? Yes, please, all day~ To round it out, I also got myself an English Toffee coffee to go. Hot, smooth, creamy, and buttery all rolled into a delicious brew, to go. Again, how can one complain? If you're looking for a tasty bite with a smile, at a slightly higher cost than fast food (because this trounces those joints), in a convenient location, that hits it out of the park every time with what they dish out, then Rosie's door is open and waiting for you to sit down and prepare to be satiated~!
