Pros: Food, Prices, Frozen Sangria Cons: Dirty, bad service Visiting BC and see cactus club cafes all over the place so we thought it had to be good. The coal harbour one was right next to our hotel. Walked in at 9:00pm on a Friday with no reservations. Stood by the front check in hostess counter for 5 minutes while we watched 7 (yes 7 young female employees behind a small counter) look for a customers charger who had left it there earlier in the day. It took 7 of them minutes to open the drawer and hand her her lost and found item. Then, when we were finally acknowledged, one girl looked up without a smile and pointed outside "the girl with a tablet will help you outside". We go back out to see Polly standing on the side of the door behind a plastic tarp covered shelter.... greeted us and we waited another 5 minutes. Finally 1 of the 7 girls came out to show us to a table. We were handed menus and two warm waters without ice, one of which had a huge chunk of slimy food on the outside of the glass. THAT MADE ME NERVOUS TO CONTINUE TO EAT HERE. Our server Alex arrived and was nice. We ordered 3 food items to share and all were good! He was timely with the order, and with clearing our table. We then were given our check, and then waited 27 minutes between check and taking our payment so we could leave. Wouldn't go back to ANY Cactus club in the future knowing it's poorly run by kids and held to lower standards.

yes, I was influenced by Drake, and honestly, no regrets! The Peach Bellini was super yummy. Love the location and the overall vibe ..it's trendy but still comfortable. The food was good, nothing crazy, but definitely solid. I'd come back for sure, especially for the drinks and the atmospher

Ehh came here for new Year's Eve, and we were pretty disappointed. I'd say it's standard brunch fare but the way the waiters sold the food to us was that we'd have our socks blown off or something lol. We ordered the Szechuan Lettuce Wraps, their signature ravioli with shrimp, and the salmon. The Szechuan wraps did not taste anything like Szechuan food at all lol. It was like just using what tasted like Viet chili sauce. The salmon and ravioli were also just okay. Felt like something I could make at home from trader joes, except the ravioli had lots of truffle oil. Also for what it's worth, when I was going to the washroom, the guy behind me was like "it's a hike to get to the bathroom" lol

Chocolate mousse mini dessert was just the right size and was delicious.

Delicious food with excellent service. Wish we went to happy hour because the prices were very reasonable and had many of the same items as the dinner menu. Loved the lemongrass Thai noodle salad which is only offered at this location. Added a perfectly cooked salmon that enhanced that entree. Hubby loved the blackened chicken. It was in walking distance from our hotel so it made it a convenient and tasty option.

The Cactus Club Cafe is a Vancouver-born chain that's been successful because of it's meticulous attention to menu variety, food consistency, service quality and creating spaces with a cool vibe. No matter which location I go to, the food and service standards are relatively high for a casual chain restaurant. My wife and I went her for dinner after an event at the convention centre. With the Christmas Market next door, the night was quite busy. We waited 15-20min in the walk-in line before getting a table. Once seated, we ordered the following: - Wagyu Beef Carpaccio: Very good. All the ingredients work well together. Probably one of the few times where there was too much bread from a ratio perspective (which is not a problem). - Tuna Stack: Very good. Classic representation of Vancouver food. Delicate and delicious. - Rigatoni Bolognese: Very good. Al-dente, and just the right amount of sauce to coat the pasta without drowning it. Well-prepared. Service was good. Did everything she's supposed to do, was timely and pleasant. No complaints. Overall, another good visit. This location is popular because of it's location and views, but the food or service remains consistently strong.

While in the area for a few days, The staff at the hotel recommended the Cactus Club Cafe, so we went for lunch. I requested an outside waterview seat and they found us the perfect spot. Arcacia is our server and was so amazing and friendly! Such wonderful knowledge of the area as well as the good and made some great suggestions. We shared the Tuna Temaki and then a green goddess salad and an order of the chicken tenders. Everything was delicious and fresh!

we came on july 3rd 8:30pm, the day of a convention next door. BUSY would be an understatement, we couldn't sit down and have a casual conversation for how loud it was. football playing on tv.100% wished i reserved for WATERFRONT dining. if not pls choose patio! SERVICE: our waiter was inconsiderate. busy hours are understandable but we waited 25 minutes and had to ask politely for our dishes to finally be served. (3/4 were alr done and we watched tables around us have appetizers served early on). waiter did ask how our meal was once. we gave them $7 in coins and they estimated it to be $2. we had to pull them back and ASK that they count correctly. we asked to pay partial in cash and the rest in card bc we needed to get rid of our canadian bills and they got irritated. actually FLUNG the receipt at us and said we didn't have to tip. took the bill and walked away. FOOD: FANTASTIC baja zesty tacos, the guac wasn't rly guac. maybe mixed w some ranch?? the butternut squash ravioli is apparently rated highly in all of vancouver. VERY BUTTERY, not very truffle, oily and mushy inside. flavor was phenomenal though. the MEDIUM MILLIONARE STEAK was okay. dry and i don't get how it pairs w shrimp? the fries and string beans mediocre. would not come back.

Went to this location of Cactus Club twice in the month of May and both times because I had visitors from out of town and wanted to take them to the go-to spot for Vancourites! I chose the coal harbour location because I love the view from there. Both times I requested to be seated by the water but since both times were during the weekend, it was full so they weren't able to give me the spot without a 30mins wait. I usually get their blackened creole chicken - I love it so much! Comes with mash potato, asparagus, and a brown butter that's melted on the chicken. I also tried their new summer drink - their slushy pina colada which was SOO good and I'm also a sucker for pina colada in general. My friend had their butternut squash ravioli and loved it! That is my second fav thing on their menu. I'll be back for sure!

Very nice decor and the staff are professional! The food is good here. My steak frites was cooked perfectly & kale salad was good. The Parmesan chicken had a great flavor & was cooked perfectly. It was served on gnocchi that was tator-tot sized & dense. But the sauce was enough to balance it out. Crème brûlée for dessert & it was wonderful. Drinks were just okay, not as much choice as I hoped, sangria & Bellini drinks which were just okay whiskey sour was just too sour for my taste.

Amazing place! Came highly recommended by our Concierge from Hyatt Regency. Excellent service. Excellent food. Mouthwatering. My steak was outstanding, medium rare. Cooked to perfection. Outdoor ambience was so relaxing. It was raining outside but toasty warm inside. Huge place too. Excellent drink menu. Huge selection to boot! Love this place. We will return and highly recommend. Cheers!

Second time at this location! Love the service everytime the staff is so laid back and service always is quick despite crowds. Such large space for seating and the design really makes any seating a great spot. This time we reserved window and couldn't be happier. Definitely get the Peach linis and all the food is phenomenal.

Great happy hour menu! Good vibes. Service was so-so, but it felt more like a cocktail bar than restaurant so made sense. Got the sugar free margs for $10, fries for $5, and seared salmon sushi roll for $15 (forgot to take pics of food oops).

Had a great experience. Hoped that the blinds were down to see the view but the sun would be in our eyes. Maybe a late dinner or lunch for the view. I came here with my parents, and we split a bunch of appetizers. The ceviche with scallops and prawns was delicious along with the lettuce wraps. What are the best lettuce wraps I've had. The sauces made it a little spicy which I liked. The yam fries were good, but your typical sweet potato fries And the wings were good but for being on vacation I would've replaced them and try something different such as the calamari. Cozy was our waiter. He was very sweet and attentive.

We came here for a Winnie the Pooh Afternoon Tea. Oh my goodness...it far exceeded my expectations!…read moreHats off to the kitchen staff for coming up with such a creative and whimsical afternoon tea. First thing that caught my eye was the cover of the afternoon tea menu. It was red with a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin printed upon it in a shiny gold colour. When flipped over, it had the menu for the afternoon tea printed upon it. I was super impressed that they even had a separate menu printed for Vegetarians. (I opted for a Vegetarian menu). There was a cute little ceramic jar that was shaped like a Honey pot, and it had sugar cubes in it! Then there was this booklet that was pages long, and divided into Chapters. It was basically the menu again, but in the form of a small book. Each Chapter of the book described different foods from the afternoon tea. The last chapter listed all the different tea flavors one could choose. When we sat down and read this menu, I heard more than one person at the table say that they wanted to take this menu home. Guess what? For the price of $25, one could take this menu home as a memento of this extraordinary afternoon tea? Maybe I'm a bit of a sucker, but how often does one get to go to an afternoon tea as special as this? And I've always been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. So I coughed up the $25 and brought one of these menus home with us! Food was sooo good. I loved how warm the scone was when I cut it open. This was one of my favourite items. The sandwiches were amongst my favourites as well. As phenomenal as the experience was, I do think there are a few things which could have improved the experience. For one, a bit more service would have been appreciated. I had to wave my hand in the air to get our server's attention so that I could ask her to refill our tea pots with more hot water. Would have been nice if she'd just come around a bit more often and offered to top it up for us. Tea cozies on our tea pots might have been another improvement. A lot of my tea cooled down by the time I got to it. I like my tea hot but I didn't get in very many cups of hot tea as there was a lot of food to eat and by the time I was ready to pour myself some tea to wash down my food, the tea was...not so hot anymore. Oh, and while most of the food was appropriately sized, there was this one chocolate cookie sandwich that was really gigantic and suggested to be eaten last. We were so full already from all the other foods in the afternoon tea, and then to squeeze that giant cookie sandwich in...right at the end? A smaller and daintier cookie sandwich would have been preferred. It was overall a truly phenomenal experience. Yes, I do think it could have been slightly better, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". The points lost were so minor...I would still highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone. It was well worth the money. It's offered every weekend for now but not sure how long they'll keep this around so if you're interested in a Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, I'd make a reservation for it ASAP!

We sat indoors with the option to be seated outdoors with heated lamps but we didn't want to smell the smoke from people smoking outside. We ordered the Dark Spell Latte, Albedo Spritz, and Final Word. The Dark Spell Latte is like an espresso martini with chocolate syrup added, which is pretty solid. The Albedo Spritz is a red wine cocktail with hard liquor, and stood out to me as they had 5oz of alcohol so this was fairly strong, but I would imagine most of the ounces came from the wine itself. I liked the gold dusted blackberry. The Final Word is fruity and smoky, which I enjoyed, but not warrant a hefty price tag compared to the other drinks. Service is decent and in line with other restaurant bars. Overall, solid drinks at okay prices that I can see myself recommending this spot.
