Too bad my local Denny's has such poor service. Food was typical for Denny's. Went last night around 9:30. Service was pretty lacking. Customer service from waitress was poor. It felt like we were bothering her. She seemed obviously annoyed when we asked for separate checks (even though we did it before we ordered), and annoyed that one party wasn't ready to order. Food was ok. Since it was late, we all got milkshakes and apps. Took a long time for order to come through. We were all surprised when we asked for sides of ranch- with our late night fried food- and were charged 79 cents for each one. My friends coffees were never refilled. I had to track down a different waiter in order for them to get a second cup. Upsetting since they paid $2.50 for one cup. When the new waiter came to do refills, I asked when they started charging for ranch. His response was , "after they remodeled, the needed to start nickel and dime-ing the customers, in order to pay for the remodel." Wow. Don't sugar coat it. Anyway, I know I'll return , since it's Denny's, and it's the closest one to me. Would be nice for them to train their employees on proper customer service. read more

Dont make the mistake of trusting Dennys online ordering of a Holiday meal. We called last week to see if we need to reserve our meals and were told, by a female manager... Oh no, we will have plenty! Just order 20 minutes before you want to pickup. HA! Ordered from Dennys Sanger. After sitting for 30 minutes, was told they were out. Another 20 minutes later, they contacted Dennys in Fowler... Incinvenient but ok right? Well now I have been sitting at Fowler Dennys for 40 minutes for what was supposed to be a 20 minute wait. First and last time to eat at this Denny's. Went on Thanksgiving Day for breakfast. I am a single older person who the hostess seated at a table in the middle of the room. Very embarrassing. Waitress was polite. Waited for a very long time for my order. When it came, the pancakes were not cooked in the middle. Sausage was cold. Not impressed with the quality of food. As I went to pay my check, the two employees at the register could not have been more rude. Never acknowledged me as they were too busy gossiping about fellow employees. AWEFUL SERVICE: Upon entering, the hostess ignored us, walked away, and disappeared into the back. We had to wait for 10 minutes before a waiter approached us even though the restaurant was half empty. As the waiter talked to us, two people got up from their table and walked past us towards the exit doors complaining to the waiter that there should be more servers available. Evidently, they got tired of waiting and walked out. The waiter ignored them, turned to us and said, "Oh, good. We have a table ready for you," even though the restaurant was only half full. Upon being seated, we waited for 15 minutes without anyone serving us. As I looked around, a couple close to our table walked out also without being served. After another 5 minutes, we decided to also walk out. WTF, the staff was really slow/lazy and ignoring people despite the restaurant not being full. Worst experience ever at a Dennys restaurant. This time wasn't as good as the last, I asked for the eggs to be over easy with the yolks runny but the whites cooked hard and not only were the yolks runny but the whites were runny also. Also I don't know if they have decreased the portions but it seemed the entire meal was kid sized and not worthy of being called lumberjack sized at all. Under the tables was a roaches paradise and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. I went to Denny's tonight for dinner with my children and the manager Matthew greeted us and at us down immediately. The sever was hardly pout server but two thumbs up for that manager! I LITERALLY HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE I TOOK THE TIME TO CREATE A YELP TO GIVE THIS REVIEW AT 4 I IN THE MORNING!!! Hands down worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant or any place customer service related! The waitress Allisa M. Had clearly never been properly trained in how to treat a customer nor being a good waiter! She was rude and it seemed almost as if she didn't want us there we were a group of about 11 people and the service was just horrible our orders were placed and two members of our group were skipped completely. Once they were allowed to order and our food came in we noticed that a different couple in our groups food had not arrived. We began to eat as they waited the waiter was notified and straws were asked for (some were waiting for Milk that they ordered for their pancakes others waiting for milkshakes) the milk was brought to the table and it was warm as if it had been sitting in the back for a couple of minutes. A couple minutes after that the waiter comes and asks one of the two whose items had not arrived if he still wanted his item!?!? Like really he had only ordered one thing and as everyone was eating he had been waiting?!? He let her know that yes he still wanted the item, she did not acknowledge nor assure our other friend that her food was on the way. After waiting for a very long time, so long that everyone had pretty much finished their food she finally brings out our friends food by this team our lady friend was not happy at all and neither were most of us with the attitude and rudeness that our waiter had given us. Our friend asked Alissa (our waiter) if she still had to pay for the food as it was evident that she had not placed the order previously and had been waiting for so long. Alissa answered that she would need to talk to her manager, she leaves and returns a couple minutes later only to state that our friend would have to pay for the food (by this time our friend had started to eat her food as she had been waiting and was hungry) because she had began to eat the food. Our friend asked to speak to the manager and as the waiter was walking away she felt the need to let our friend that no matter what she would have to pay for the food?!? No manager came we finally went up to a manager and let them know what was going on it turns out that Alissa the waiter never explained to the manager what had happened and only relayed that "a customer wanted their meal for free because it was A BIT LATE.." after letting the manager know what had happened the manager apologized to our friend and let her know that she would be speaking to this employee. Unfortunately because our friend is so nice she still offered to pay for her food as she wanted to take the meal home and try to enjoy it another day. This waiter completely ruined our entire night. Denny's often has bad service, but Sanger's is probably the worst, consistently, I've ever seen. They are way understaffed. I phoned in an order well in advance of going in to pick it up. I was told 15-20 minutes. I gave them 20. Not only was my order not ready or even in process, there were "three tickets ahead" of me, according to the hostess. Denny's has always been slow but it was decent food for the money. Not so much anymore. I ordered delivery at 3 am.. which I know is a really early/late time to be ordering delivery but considering it gave me the option and Dennys website says 24/7 delivery. I figured, Sanger is a small town so there probably won't be any drivers. But I put the order in and waited for a call or email telling me there were no drivers. I never got one so I waited the time it told me and another 30 minutes after that. No food. So I figured they cancelled my order and it was just still pending in my bank account. This was all done online Denny's website. I went ahead since by then it was 5 am and ordered takeout from Denny's and I ent to pick it up. Got home was missing items but that's not the point. About 5:40 I get a text saying my DoorDash order is on the way?! What the heck? Why would I want my food three hours late. I text my driver he said text support for dorodash. Tried that they told me since I didn't have a DoorDash account I'd have to call Denny's. Someone told me that I would have to cancel through door dash. S.M.H. Told him I just tried that and they said to call you. He said he would try to cancel it and his manager would call me back if they could not. I got no call what so ever. So I figured once again, they cancelled it. Nope. It was posted in my account by 6:00 pm today. Called Denny's and they told me to cal tomorrow for the GM and he will hopefully be able to refund it. So I might change it to 4 stars if they refund b cause I guess online services aren't the actual stores fault. read more

Best Denny's in the valley. The manager is on it, the workers are on it. I constantly see the employees moving around and working hard, never seeing anybody being lazy. (I noticed the manager walking around checking on his employees, and also walking the perimeter of the building to make sure that everything is clean and in order.)The food is much better than Selma, Fowler, Kingsburg, etc. The service is much better too. We received our meal quickly even though the restaurant seemed to be busy. I'm impressed. You guys are doing it right...keep it up!! Trust me, we notice. :) read more

We came to this location at 8:50am on a Wednesday morning. The place was relatively empty. We waited 40 minutes for our food. We didn't order anything out of the ordinary. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. Waitress was indifferent about the whole time issue. Management is to blame in my opinion. I would normally go to Denny's late night for their burgers which are filing and delicious. However one morning I decided to treat my mom to breakfast. We walked in and waited to be seated which took a while considering that there was no one in front of us and there was plenty of tables open. The girl standing in the front continued to look at the monitor at the front desk instead of attending to us as guests which was rude. She looked up and just stared at us instead of asking us if we would like to be seated. Luckily a waitress seated us she was very nice which was good. We order and got our food which was very skimpy the scrambled eggs were watery and the bacon resembled jack n the box bacon which was not taste full.
