The only get one because I had to. Or else none!! Literally came for the 2nd time ever! The first time was 4yrs ago! we waited 40 min for pancakes! There was 4 of us so 3 got our food . We were done and my grandma still didn't get her pancakes so I call the manager let him know we missing our food he apologized and he forgets another 10 mins go by. I ask another server and she finally brings the pancakes . She eats so we leave to pay I look at the check they take the $2 pancakes off. So I call the manager to talk to him about why he forgot and a staff member had to fix the problem. He literally asked me if I was there last week trying to get free food!!!!! Never again eating here!!!! I ordered a lettuce wrap burger and was waiting for my order to come out. While we were waiting we heard the chef(tall with long hair) say "WHO THE F*CK ORDERS LETTUCE WRAPS!? THAT SH*TS F*CKING WACK!" Umm, I do:) Very unprofessional! And very offensive!!! I've never had a poorer dining experience in my life. And our group of working class individuals are sensitive to and understanding of the staffing shortage lasting post Covid. Our waitress didn't notify guests of any additional charges for items when asked. Served orders with things missing, and not asking if the replacement was ok (white bread instead of sourdough) until it was already on table/served, so that was wasted food. Then, even though asked and warned about the need for separate checks prior to any ordering taking place, decided to wait till checkout to split. Even though all seats were paid for in order of the tab, people were charged incorrectly, and then the gentleman who helped the waitress check out our party was rude and said "well you should be thankful you paid less than what you should have" and I let him know that regardless of price we wanted the tabs to be paid correctly by the correct people. He was rude and condescending to me about errors they made, and not once had any sort of apology or remorse for the 20+ minute time of standing at the register to check out. Food is always good and of great value. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes, they seem to be under staffed. I'm usually here late in the evening, which seems to be the most popular time to come, and there's always only one employee working the register, seating new customers, and working the tables as a server. read more

I just had to make a review. I am typing this as I am sitting down after finishing my meal. This place at this location is five stars. The food was delicious. I came to eat here late night with my family on a road trip up north to San Francisco. The manager is hard working and was even cooking some of the food here due to them being understaffed in the kitchen. I ordered the two crepe breakfast and the manager said "sorry it took so long I made it myself, it takes time when you make it with love." There was definitely love put into this meal. Hands Down, Sanger Denny's handpacked burger(s) always hit the spot! Say what you will about Denny's being boring or not fancy enough for sum folk. There's something to be said about having a massive mound of fresh cooked fries, handpacked patties, fresh onion, cheese, pickles & Matoe on a fresh sesame seed bun!! NEVER has left me hungry I'll tell ya what and Ms Cadence, she could eat their Mac&Chz everyday and TWICE in Sundays!! Her bananas and vanilla yogurt w/strawberry is her absolute favorite items!! Ordered the Cobb salad, which per the menu includes avocado and bacon. I did not receive either in my salad, so a $12 salad ended up being lettuce, tomato, and an egg, plus the grilled chicken I added. For the price, that was pretty disappointing. I gave three stars for the friendliness of the staff, and the timeliness of the order. Hopefully better luck with the next order. Placed a big order to go. The order was bagged so it could not be checked. When we got home the banana pecan pancake breakfast we ordered only had bananas on the pancakes and no hashbrowns. Contacted the manager and they wanted us to bag the whole order and return for this to get fixed. Manager was not helpful and acted like it was our fault. It was not worth dealing with such poor customer service to fix the order. Sad that sanger has a sub-par dennys. Especially a phone order and a fat tip they still don't get it right. I've been to Denny's restaurants all over the country and this is, by far, the worst one. There have been more than one occasion in which I came in here on an average day and waited so long for even a drink order that I got up and left and had breakfast somewhere else. I actually like Denny's food but I've gotten doughy pancakes here, screwed up food orders, and been told "sorry we're out of ___" more than once. I hope things change but until then I'll be driving to alternate Denny's locations if I want cheap breakfast food. Whenever visiting family, I dine here with them and the service is great every time. The food never takes forever to arrive and it's all around a great time. I once dined in the restaurant when a group of students from the local high schools drama department came in, they had just finished a show I believe and they were still full of life, which made the place lively. I pre ordered my meals through grub hub using this Yelp app. Placed the order at approximately 9:34AM the food was supposed to be ready within 20 minutes, but it wasn't. I received the notification around 10:55AM that the food is ready to be picked up so I go on and head there. Finally arrived and ask the cashier regarding a pick up order under my name and then she asks me if I'm sure I'm at the right place because there was no orders under my name?? The food WAS NOT ready and she explained how they never received the order. I then ask for the manager who tries to ask IF IM THE DRIVER. Worst customer service ever and if you're COLORED they DO NOT CARE. The worst Denny's to get breakfast very unsatisfying AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SAVE YOURSELVES THE TIME! read more

My boyfriend got off the car to pick up and the hostess completely ignored him to help other customers then 20 minutes later asked what was his order again. Once we got home our food was COLD so cold!!! My over medium eggs were OVER HARD probably how long it sat there. My boyfriends fries were so soggy. They forget most of our items! The waitress never come back and ask for refills or if we do ask for something it take forever for them to get it and bring it back to us. Was in Sanger for some morning busiest and decided to stop in for breakfast. Breakfast quality was typical for Dennys. The service by our waiter was outstanding! He was very attentive and pleasant. Wish I got his name so I could mention him in this post. We were seated right up against the wall that has the kitchen on the otherside, with the entrance to the kitchen on the side of our booth. Super noisy kitchen that almost interferes with our dining experience. However, almost every table had super noisy toddlers screaming, so then there was that too. Can't fault the kids, but it was difficult between both to have a pleasant bteakfast. read more

I have given this Denny's a few chances and it has let me down every time. I have tried them morning noon and late night just to grab a milk shake and every time it's been very poor service. If you come to this Denny's you may want to bring along some good reading material while you wait for someone to take your order, and if you want a refill on your drinks you better not be in a hurry because your waiter won't be. The food has been a great let down its just not that good your better off going to a fast food place . If you don't mind bad food and super slow service then maybe you will enjoy spending your day there to get a meal. One of the nicest Denny's I've been to! My boyfriend and I were driving down from Sequoia National Park via the Big Stump exit, and we yelped out this place for dinner. Driving through, Sanger seemed like a quaint little town surrounded by miles of scenic farmland and had a country feel to it, but this Denny's was well maintained and new-looking. We walked in and were promptly welcomed by the waiter, who seemed to be serving all seven parties present by himself. Though busy, the waiter was charming and welcoming. The food came out in a timely manner, and nothing was left out. Same food you'd get at any other Denny's. Unlike some other locations, our appetizer came out before our meal - nice! The tables were clean, the food was good, and the waiter was awesome - I have nothing to complain about! read more

Very slow service, if your plans are to wait along time for order drinks or orders be prepared to wait about 15 minutes or longer. Best to drive 15 min to Fresno or Clovis get great service at a better selection of restaurants and food and drive back to town. read more

Too bad my local Denny's has such poor service. Food was typical for Denny's. Went last night around 9:30. Service was pretty lacking. Customer service from waitress was poor. It felt like we were bothering her. She seemed obviously annoyed when we asked for separate checks (even though we did it before we ordered), and annoyed that one party wasn't ready to order. Food was ok. Since it was late, we all got milkshakes and apps. Took a long time for order to come through. We were all surprised when we asked for sides of ranch- with our late night fried food- and were charged 79 cents for each one. My friends coffees were never refilled. I had to track down a different waiter in order for them to get a second cup. Upsetting since they paid $2.50 for one cup. When the new waiter came to do refills, I asked when they started charging for ranch. His response was , "after they remodeled, the needed to start nickel and dime-ing the customers, in order to pay for the remodel." Wow. Don't sugar coat it. Anyway, I know I'll return , since it's Denny's, and it's the closest one to me. Would be nice for them to train their employees on proper customer service. read more
