    Berry waffles!
    Sarah D.

Great experience here for late breakfast on a Thursday. Enjoyed my savory crepe with ham, country potatoes, and country gravy. Delicious! My friend enjoyed her very berry waffles. Friendly service, no wait. It is often pretty busy on the weekends. Good coffee and hot chocolate. Nice diner / cafe vibe.

The food came out exceptionally quick, and hit right on the taste buds. The service was above average, waiters had great manners and were very nice. The ambience was an old school 80-90's style of diner along with countryside views, the patio had a great area to eat.

Wait times can be long, but they don't rush their customers. They're very busy! I always enjoy their breakfast. My only knock on my last visit was the berry waffle. It's still yummy, but I was a bit disappointed how the fresh fruit was swapped out for something similar to a strawberry sauce you would find on an ice cream sundae. It may be cost effective but they used to be my most favorite waffles. Please bring that fresh quality back! :) The whipped cream was piled so high that I got a spoonful of butter with a bite, lol. Ewww, lol. Regardless, I would return still.

Small little place, I knew it had to be good when the parking lot was full. Service was fast and super friendly. Lily and Carlos were very attentive and nice. My coffee or water never went empty and they did it with a smile. Restaurant was clean and food was delicious. Highly recommend this cute little place.

Food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. They were busy but still fast service. Wednesdays all plates are $13.99 and they are huge! Plenty of seating area inside and out.

Visited on a Saturday morning around 10 AM, and as expected, the place was packed. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated, with another 10 minutes to place our order and another 10 for the food to arrive -- not unreasonable for a busy weekend, but definitely on the slower side. The standout here is definitely their griddle items. The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful, the crepe was just right, and the cinnamon roll French toast was a nice surprise -- indulgent without being overly sweet. Mimosas were also a highlight, well-balanced and refreshing. The rest of the food was decent but unremarkable. Eggs, bacon, and the Denver omelet were all standard fare and could've used more seasoning -- everything lacked salt and depth of flavor across the board. Service was friendly, though quite slow, likely due to how busy it was. The place itself is a bit run-down and could use a good cleaning, but despite that, it's clearly popular and has no trouble drawing a crowd. The mountain view adds a nice touch, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, it's a cozy, casual spot best enjoyed for its sweet breakfast items -- just don't go in a rush, and maybe bring your own salt shaker.

Blossom trail outing went well and lunch time was spent at the Blossom trail Cafe. This place is definitely a Mom & Pop hole in the wall place definitely a special place for the locals. Staff were very hospitable and attentive. Food service was different. There were plenty of waiters but still had to wait a bit for someone to finally wait on us. Once that happened we didn't have to wait long for our food. Portions were plentiful. This place was not exciting just a good place to eat.

I have been meaning to try this place. I was finally in the area and decided to stop in. They were extremely busy. We were offered to sit in the patio area (it was foggy and cold). The gentleman who was helping us stated he would turn on the heaters and we could check it out to decide. It was enclosed which actually made it really warm. I was worried we would be forgotten since we were the only table outside. However, the staff was on it and helped us promptly. The food was hot and came out quick. Everything was good. Portions and pricing were reasonable. Not sure if I would make the trip back but if I'm in the area definitely.

Wasn't expecting the place to be packed early morning, but it was. But we got our orders promptly, in the nice outside seating... very cozy in this weather. The food is delicious and staff is friendly. Only thing I had issue with are the flies, maybe need more fly traps for the patio tables.

The food and service was good, but the place could use some TLC. We were seated at a booth, and the backs of these booths look like they have been washed in years. There were so many stains we didn't want to lean back. They have typical diner food, and we weren't too hungry so we decided to split a sandwich. It was very good, and they were nice enough to serve it on 2 plates and gave us each a side of coleslaw. We had the sourdough turkey club with pesto mayo and it was very fresh and delicious. The avocados and pesto mayo really enhanced the sandwich. And it was plenty large enough for sharing with our order of fries, which were also very good. This would definitely be a 4-star place if the booths weren't so dirty.

Located in a scenic agricultural area on the outskirts of Sanger, the restaurant is housed in an impressive original old school house. Check out the original plans of the school site and buildings posted in the interior hallway. The high ceilings and open layout make for a great atmosphere, though be warned: the noise level is quite high, as there isn't much to absorb it. Our server, Jacob, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and we especially appreciated that he included the prices of the daily specials upfront. Here's what we had for dinner: * Crab Fritters: Spectacular. The sweet red pepper sauce and the generous crab portions were beautifully presented. * Mixed Greens: A lesson in simplicity done right. It was perfectly dressed and easily shared between two. * Mahi Mahi: A standout special with a perfect sear and a moist center. * The Steak: Ordered medium and delivered as such, though it was a bit tough and felt "buried" under the heap of potatoes, onion rings, and asparagus. * Bari Lemon Olive Oil Cake: Do not let the name intimidate you! It was the star of the show. Moist, perfectly paired with fig ice cream, and large enough to share. The kitchen was unfortunately very slow. A large party of 20 on the patio seemed to back things up, leading to long gaps between our courses (though dessert arrived quickly). At nearly $200 for two, the pacing and the tough steak brought the experience down slightly, but the stellar service and elite appetizers/desserts still earn this a solid 4 stars.

But there was something we had not considered, we were going to be going to a place that required us to be fresh and ready to receive the wonder of place by a lack and we only had the energy for an angry stop at a gas station. So this place I visited when I was tired and that kind of gunked up the experience. If I would have gone with more energy to fully open my eyes than this experience would have been wondrous. When I booked the reservation I did it because it was a place by a lake. I enjoy water front dining and I usually use an ocean for scenery and today I was in a place where I could use a large creek. And since I was not going with any specific expectations that lake hit me like a bucket of wow. I remember like seeing the mouth of the lake going down like actual rocks. Like I was seeing the waters that people raft on with commitment to the outdoors. It felt like I had traveled into a place where trees were purest, bird melodies were the only noise in town (besides the water running in the creek), and cabins belonged to those who called the mountains home. I was in a novel and for some reason I felt like it was written by Twain. And that is really what I can say about this place. That is mostly what I remember the beauty of the creek. I wanted to spend more time there, I could have walked it, they had like a lounge but I did not. But I do remember the forested view that went on, and the roaring, jagged leg being a central character other than that I have small things to say. I remember the salad being ok. Denise and I shared a dish, I can't remember why but we did not eat the whole thing. It was inherently bad. But this could have been an off night, or just not the dish of the place, and really you go here for the lake, and the food was great in some ways just not in this specific way. I went to this place a few weeks ago, and, if I had not make it clear I remember the experience of being with the lake. So go here for that experience and let the rest just fall into place.

I asked for a well-done burger and after a very long wait they brought an uncooked burger. Won't go to this place until they change management.

The person came by to serve us water noticed our table was pretty wobbly so he fixed it instantly. I thought that was great for them to notice the small details. They always came by to fill our waters 4-5 times. They also remembered we were celebrating an anniversary so they offered us complementary champagne. Our waitress Celeste was very excellent. She gave suggested me dishes that I couldn't decide. We ended up getting the chicken taquitos ($17), the pork chop ($36) and the prime sirloin ($36). Food was delicious and everything tasted so good. I like the roasted Brussels spouts flakes on the pork chop and even though the sirloin was medium it was still very tender. Even the one time our water cups were empty she noticed and apologized and came back to refill them. The chicken taquitos were very good as well. While walking in, I thought to myself "it's gorgeous, why didn't we stay here again?" and then remembered because all of their low ratings as a hotel are due to poor service. The receptionist at the entrance is very bleh (didn't even greet us, she just looked at us so we said hello first ). We sat down and ordered. We were the only customers. The girl who took our order was nice enough but lacked professionalism. She just seemed out of it. She didn't write down our order, but a few minutes later came back saying "wait what did you for your entree again?". I'm glad she double checked, but for the price of the food and aesthetic of the restaurant, I expected better service. I ordered the wagyu burger but wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked - I assume they only cook it well-done because that's how it came. It didn't have the juicy buttery flavor of Wagyu, or really any flavor at all. The bread was good. The fries are phenomenal and I liked that more than my burger Carrots & whipped ricotta was good but not great - very flat flavor profile of ricotta, honey, and carrots. I think this dish could've been better with some acidity like a bit of lemon on the side. The chicken pesto penne pasta was good, but still flat. It would be better with cherry tomatoes or something to give it depth. The pasta was cooked perfectly Despite the chicken being absolutely tiny (approx 4"), it was juicy. Wish there was more of it I didn't care for the butternut squash soup but my husband liked it. It had good flavor but was very thin. Overall the place is pretty, but I wouldn't return as the food was very forgettable. It's a shame that the best thing was the side of fries. I'm giving a 4 due to the food tasting clean/quality.
