The only good thing about this Denny's is that our waitress has a nice smile and appears to be a sweet girl. That being said, she is in the wrong job. First, my husband wanted to substitute hashbrowns for bacon on his breakfast meal. She said it couldn't be done. Now that is pretty funny because the menu says "made to order". Apparently not. Second, I ordered a Cobb salad but what I got in no way resembled the menu. I got bagged lettuce with a whole egg uncut and a few unripe cherry tomatoes. Seriously? The menu shows sliced egg, sliced avocado and some potato thins. Third, the waitress brought our plates, all 4 at once, and promptly slid my sons meal onto the table. Then told him it would still be good. I have no words. I'm own a cafe and this is not only considered horrendous customer service but I doubt the health department would be agreeable with the actions of spilling a customers order and telling them to eat if off the table. Luckily it was fries and chicken fingers. However he took a few bites and that was it for him, couldn't do it anymore. I suggest some better training of your staff, both on how to serve and the menu items. Finally, my sons chicken that he had to eat off the table was burnt. On the way out there were at least half a dozen workers gathered up by the cash register chatting. None of them spoke to the customers, greeted the customers or were working. Is this ok with you? You're paying them to have social hour apparently not create good customer experiences. I guess prepare to go out of business soon. I do not recommend this restaurant. If you want a nice family meal with a good experience, spend your time and money elsewhere because you will not get it here. read more

Good service, good food and excellent food presentation. Ive always been wary of chain locations because the commercials appear to present food better than in person. However, this location scored perfect on making that Denny's TV commercial come to life. I highly recommend this location, especially late at night after a club outing. read more

I stop by here after a night out on the town to refuel with some biscuits and gravy. The service is good and the food hits the spot. You can get a ton of food for very little. Now there can be await after the 2 am crowd gets there so either be prepared to wait or get there a bit early. read more

What can I say, it's Denny's. Although, it seems like the Grand Slam has gotten smaller. My work partner's hashbrowns were barely cooked, toast was just warmed bread and the eggs were cold. I haven't been to this Denny's since I was a kid but went two weekends ago when I was in Raleigh visiting my mom (her favorite breakfast restaurant) and I was blown away by the great service! I wanted to mention Lequita by name. What a gem! Saturday breakfast, place was busy but we did not have to wait...everyone was very busy but there were smiles on all their faces. My first experience at Denny's. I was immediately welcomed at the door with a big smile. The hostess promptly seated us and said one of our best servers will be with you shortly, which we liked because of the enthusiasm. After only a short period of time our server came to our table and took our order with a smile as if she was happy to be serving us. The restaurant is clean and very attentive overall. This was my first time eating in a Denny's in many many years. We had a service problem with the waitress. She was very slow and I had to ask 3 times for them to take our order. Finally we were served and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the large portions. And by the way... After our order was taken we received our food fast and hot. The manager on duty came by several times and apologized for the service and made sure all was ok with our food. We will definitely return. In spite of the original service level I left a 20% plus tip because the staff certainly were embarrassed by the slowness to take our order and were gracious throughout the rest of our visit. read more

Although it was really packed, I took my daughter to Denny's for her birthday breakfast. We were served by Super-Ursula! She was so attentive and on the ball! Our meal was delicious, but I was more impressed with how fast she was, refilling my coffee, taking our empty syrup containers and soooo friendly. She was amazing. My daughter mentioned to a woman at the register that the floor in the ladies room was sticky. I was prepared for the stickiness when I went in a few minutes later. I love this location. The servers are great.. very sweet and hard-working. The only complaint I have is one of the nighttime cooks (I went around 9-ish) doesn't put in enough effort. I got chocolate chip pancakes and the chocolate chips were clumped into one area. The pancakes weren't burnt, but a couple seconds longer of being cooked, and they would have been. Had a doctor's appointment across the street and really wanted pancakes. Told my hubby that I would treat him so we went to Denny's. Haven't been to a Denny's in years, probably over 10. It was about 10 a.m. and the place was packed. From the moment we walked in the door it was a great experience. My review is late, a couple weeks old but I had to write one. Our server was phenomenal, water no wait, brought the coffee immediately. Brought us a second cup without even asking. Never had to ask for anything! She told us about all the Grand slam deals, everything was delicious and came as ordered. I know it sounds crazy but we eat at all different places and cuisines, the service Kinmblee F provided was stellar. Overheard her talking to another customer and heard that she had been working at Denny's for 17 years. Whatever Denny's is doing they need to make sure she stays. When we were leaving I had to tell her that she was really delightful --- that's the only word that describes her fully besides awesome. It's right across from the hospital so it was convenient for a quick bite after dad's checkout. Plus he loves Denny's because it was a regular place for him many years ago in California . Unfortunately I wanted to gag right when I walked in. The place smells so greasy and dingy. They had some veggie items on the menu but nothing I wanted. Went here once and the service was okay. Left a 20% tip. Decided to go another time and the hostess seated us. We have two kids so they gave us kids menus with no crayons. We asked twice for crayons that never came. We waited 15 min and werent even asked what we want to drink because waitress was just standing chit chatting with a customer who seemed to be her friend. I really enjoyed my visit to Dennys this time. I came in alone and someone immediately stated they will be right with me. After 10 seconds, a very nice older man came to bring a menu and sit me down at a table top for 2. The establishment was very clean and the ambiance was nice. Just after the waitress was with me and placed my drink order in which I ordered a water and coffee. It came out just about 1 min or 2 min later. Then she took my food order. I ordered he French toast grand slam because it's my favorite with a side order of grits. Literally, 7 min later or something my food came out. It was hot and fresh, just the way I like it. They even made sure I had enough powdered sugar on my French toast. Everything was great. In the middle of me eating, I needed 2 additional straws and the waitress brought those items quickly. As I was eating, the waitress cleared everything out of the way and when I was done she brought the check expeditiously, which I appreciated. I really hate to write a bad review. I would rather talk about how great a place is but unfortunately, this isn't great. My main problem was my server. He was slow to bother coming to take my order to begin with and there was on my table a two others occupied. Next, the food came which was not super exciting and he just threw the plates down and walked off. I don't remember any drink refills either. Finally, it was time to pay the check and he brought it over, threw it down, and proceeded to stomp off. As I opened the check I was reading the prices and contemplating a tip as he walks by, looks at me calculating, and I guess assumes I think it's too expensive and says: "What do you expect, this isn't Burger King". What the hell!? It took everything I had to remain calm and not cuss him out. He ruined the whole experience for me and I won't be returning. I have never been treated so rudely! read more

It's a 24 hour diner that offers steak for breakfast what do you expect? If all you want is good looking food then Denny's is the place for you, but the carpet does not match the drapes. The quality of the food is abysmal and they didn't even have any milk in the entire restaurant which is a disgrace to say at the least. We visited Denny's on Sunday about noon - the busiest time of the week. We expected a long wait and poor service - but surprise! We waited only 10 minutes and the service was fantastic. The waitress was efficient and helpful. In spite of the enormous workload, she was patient and kind. The menu options were overwhelming for two petite women, so we opted to split one entree - seriously, there was enough food for the whole family in one order. Visited Denny's on 1/24/2014. Server obviously did not want to be at work. Plopped drinks and walked away without a word. Decided she had better let us have a straw she just dropped it over the booth division. Why the Sizzlers had covers on the handle is beyond me. The was definitely no sizzle. Well lets 1st state that the WAITER was far from the ok Waiter he was very unprofessional and rude at times talked to us like we were in the HOOD and never checked on us for refills and never asked us how was the food.
