An average breakfast. It was good but nothing special. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Husband had a big breakfast platter with mixed berry pancakes and I had the superbird sandwich with hashbrowns. Restaurant and bathroom was clean. Restaurant score is a B

Friday night we got out of work pretty late, around 10pm. When I want to sit down and eat, he likes going to Denny's because they're 24 hours and we don't have to feel rushed. It was busy, but we were greeted and seated instantly, there were still plenty of seatings. He ordered the mozzarella sticks to start off, he got the chicken fried chicken with brown gravy and onion rings, I got the salmon with vegetables medley. Our food took almost an hour to come out, it was room temp, bread was soggy laying in the veggies, we just ate it anyway Mash and chicken fried chicken had good flavor, my fish tasted like canned tuna shaped to look like salmon. Mozzarella sticks were great though!! It's our fault, we went to a place known for breakfast and ordered dinner plates. Our server Kris was AMAZING!!! The absolute BEST server we have ever had at Denny's, EVER. I just asked for another piece of bread, she was so apologetic, and so sweet. It's not her fault, things happen, I get it. It looked like she was the only server, and boy did she do a good job checking in on everyone and their food. She kept apologizing for the wait time and we reassured her, it's okay. Our drinks were filled, she came by serveral times, and very attentive. If she's ever there, I'm requesting to have her be our server.

Very comfortable Southern hospitality from our awesome server. Sorry I didn't get your name. She was African/American lady who was wearing Chanel face mask. Very friendly and attentive. One of the best service ever! Keep up the great work. She made us feel very welcome. My partner and I both had Philly cheese steak omelettes. They were perfectly cooked. Coffee was good, food was good.... Overall everything was good!

I don't know ‍ who the other people had for a waitress but my server was great! I order a steak n eggs with hash brown for breakfast and it was cooked right(medium) and came expeditiously. Ashlyn H. was my waitress. She smiled and made eye contact when doing so. Made me feel like I was in the right place. She moved with purpose or pep in her step to get things done too. I went in for 6:10am and paid and left for 6:55am. Still got to work 20 min early. I even forgot my thermos/big cup and when I called back to ask about it they said they will put it by the register for me. I will be eating there again soon since I am in town for work for another three weeks.

Good food and service, it is just eggs and bacon...but I am a big breakfast fan. All around good experience for a chain restaurant.

Possibly the worst Denny's anywhere. Very, very poor service. Wifi is a joke. I love Denny's but do not expect a good experience there. :/

We finally tried Jo's Diner and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is a cute retro diner…read morevibe, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. We started with the onion rings and fried cheese balls, which were hot, crispy, and definitely worth ordering. The burgers and patty melt were cooked well and came with perfectly seasoned crinkle fries. Dessert was the real star of the meal. The peach cobbler was warm, buttery, and full of fruit, the pecan pie was rich and gooey, and even the simple vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce hit the spot. I also appreciated the variety of Southern sides available: mac and cheese, turnips, black-eyed peas, lima beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, salads, and more. Service was friendly, portions were generous, and prices felt reasonable for the amount of food we received. If you're looking for comfort food and homemade desserts, Jo's Diner is definitely worth a visit! **forgot to get a picture of the rest of the menu, but I'll get it next time :)

I really really don't like having to leave reviews for restaurants that aren't 5 stars, but I've…read moregot to be honest about my recent experience here. To start, the menus were absolutely filthy. They had food residue and greasy fingerprints all over them, and were torn and ripped in places. I was shocked that they do not at least have their menus laminated for this very reason. Everyone at our table noticed this and commented on it. This is a horrible first impression when you sit down at a restaurant, and needs to be corrected ASAP! I used to always love coming to Jo's diner over 10 years ago. I would usually get breakfast, and it was great. I decided to get something different today, and I think I just ordered the wrong thing. I ordered a house salad with fried chicken on top. They used to have this on the menu years ago, but I didn't see it; however, our server said she could have them make it for me. What I got was a small side salad ($5) with barely any chicken on it. The salad was in a little bowl, and had ONE chicken tender on top! I was even more surprised when I got my bill and noticed that I was charged $8 for said chicken tender. So for $13, you would expect to at least leave not hungry. I would've been better off just ordering a chicken tender platter and subbing the fries for a side salad or something. Lesson learned, I guess. Our server, Scarlett, was very attentive and really sweet, so that was a good thing! I love the vintage diner feel of this restaurant, and it brings back a lot of nostalgia of visiting "Brent's" in Jackson with my mom as a child. The next time I eat here, I will either get a daily blue plate or go back to getting breakfast. I just don't think salads are their specialty. I will come back and update my review if I do go back and it is better. (*Management: PLEASE get rid of the 3.5% fee for using a card as payment! I purposely avoid restaurants that do this to their customers. I used to work for a credit card processing company, and know that it is against card brand regulations to surcharge debit cards, which it clearly states on the bottom of your receipt that you do. This is a good way to get a hefty fine from the credit card companies. All it takes is one phone call from a disgruntled customer.)

The catfish plate and chicken dinner plates are classics, and the portions are HUGE. You definitely won't leave hungry! The location is convenient, right on Pearson Road, which is one of the main roads through Pearl. There's indoor seating as well as an outdoor seating area under a covered awning. Inside is casual and comfortable, with the walls covered in photos and memorabilia featuring local people and Jackson-area history. It gives the restaurant a lot of personality. The location may have changed but something that has not is the quality of food and service. I have been ordering the exact thing for years and it's as delicious today as it was in 1986 We moved away from Pearl in 2018 so I rarely get over here. I was excited to see the line was not backed out to the street since it was 1030 so I grabbed my turkey and provolone on an onion roll with mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, warm. The fries were extremely fresh and hot. The sandwich was amazing. And to top it off is the service. They have always had the friendliest people who make you feel better when you leave than when you arrived. Through the years and when the kids were little, we enjoyed their chicken tenders, and I have also had the ribs. I've never had anything from there that was not delicious and fresh. There's nothing like a family owned business that has been around for years and still serving up quality and great service The inside is always super clean and even though there is a line at the drive-in, it moves quickly The very fact that all of their employees have worked for them for double digit years speaks volumes to the character of these owners

I was so excited to come here because this is a duo restaurant + bake shop, serving Southern favorites. Upon entrance, I was greeted by the staff members in such a warm, hospitable manner. Since I traveled across the U.S. and flew in from California, I was quite famished. I ordered the following: * Hamburger Steak Entree (angus hamburger meat, mushrooms, onions & gravy): Selected the two sides - Mac & Cheese and Turnip Greens. Also came with a green salad (added boiled eggs) and a bread roll. A soft drink was even included with the entree. * Bowl of Seafood Gumbo All of the food was beyond palatable. Everything was super flavorful, and I enjoyed it all from the start to the finish. I was especially quite impressed with the taste of Turnip Greens and Seafood Gumbo (top favorites). The portion of the meal was generous and filling. I was feeling full and satisfied after consumption. I wasn't able to try any of the desserts. However, it was nice to know that there was a variety of freshly-baked sweet treats available. Options included cakes, cookies, pies, pound cakes, and breads. The ambiance of the restaurant gave it a family-oriented, neighborhood diner. The dining room was spacious, with a lot of tables and chairs available. The overall feel was cozy and inviting. From the pleasant customer service of the staff to the delicious food, Primos Cafe definitely delivers. I highly recommend stopping by.

My catfish was excellent with a crisp cornmeal coating and delicious flavor. Mashed potatoes were also outstanding. The yeast roll was so fresh and tasty and paired well with my meal. My wife really enjoyed her burger and stated it was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were very fresh. She also loved the mashed potatoes. Today's pie was peanut butter but we had no room for dessert. Apparently Primos has other locations and I would strongly recommend this restaurant

We had heard of Georgia Blue & staying in the hotel across the street was thee perfect excuse. Husband ordered the Seafood Linguine & I had the Pot Roast Poboy. Although the crawfish tasted like the ocean air on a blustery day - the meal itself, he devoured. Let's talk Pot Roast. The picture literally made my mouth water. I have a dental issues so I ordered the Onions, Mushrooms & Gravy OTS. (My side was Mac&Cheese.) Well, I had to call the store bc neither the gravy OR the Mac&cheese made it to our hotel. Of course I sent hubby back for the gravy but by the time I realized the Mac&cheese was missing, hubby was already eating. I opted to just call to make them aware of the missing order items. According to the manager in the phone Mac&Cheese wasn't even on the ticket yet it's printed AND CHARGED on our receipt. I decided to just try & enjoy the meal. 4 bites. FOUR. The roast was SOOOOO salty. I thought it was the gravy so I kept the sandwich for later and tried to eat it NOT THE GRAVY. It wasn't the gravy at all. I had hubby try it and he spit out the 1st bite. The salt was overpowering. Unbelievably overpowering. Our bill was $55 ish & it was the worst meal we have had here in Mississippi. The 2 star was specifically for the linguine. Besides the crawfish- perfection.

We walked in…read morearound 9am on a Sunday morning and, after confirming they had pork-alternatives on the menu, waited to be seated. The place was not crowded but was doing a decent business and we only waited about a minute before being escorted to our table. The space is slightly cramped, as you have to walk single file down the aisles, especially if there are customers at the tables. Regardless, the decor is nicely done with cool copper looking A/C ductwork exposed among the black painted rafters and beams in the ceiling. I was immediately arrested by the Apple Fritter French Toast, French toast style fritters with fried apples, rum butter sauce, blueberries and powdered sugar! Both the description and the pictures on the menu were mouth-watering! But I was also torn between that and the Bourbon Street Pancakes, three house-recipe cakes topped bananas, pecans, rum butter sauce drizzle and whipped cream. Yeah, I was thinking exactly what you are thinking right now! After much indecision, I opted for the French Toast, with a side of eggs and chicken sausage. My mom ordered the Pumplin Crunch Waffle, a pumpkin infused graham cracker crunch Belgian waffle, spiced pumpkin cheesecake butter, maple pumpkin syrup and powdered sugar. I also opted to try one of their Cranberry Pomegranate Fizz Mocktail, which was iced tea, cranberry and pomegranate syrups, lime and ginger beer, with rosemary and orange peel! We were taking no calories prisoner today! After a short wait, my mocktail was brought out. It was just okay. First, the glass was completely full of ice so there was barely any drink. The syrups were a little too sweet and the ginger beer was not very prominent. As I was tasting it, our server came back to inform me that they were out of apples for my French Toast. Maybe its just me, but 9am seems kind of early to be running out of ingredients for your featured dish at a breakfast/brunch restaurant... Anyway, that dilemna settled, I reverted to my other choice and got the Bourbon Pancakes. I also asked the server to remake my mocktail with less ice, which he obliged very quickly. Our food arrived shortly thereafter and the pancakes were really good! Just the right amount of flavor and syrup. My mom's belgian waffle was also pretty good, although she wished it had been larger. The eggs and sausage were decent, but not especially memorable. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first meal back in Jackson. I would not hesitate to come again!
