I decided to try this place with my mother after taking a red-eye flight to Jackson. We walked in around 9am on a Sunday morning and, after confirming they had pork-alternatives on the menu, waited to be seated. The place was not crowded but was doing a decent business and we only waited about a minute before being escorted to our table. The space is slightly cramped, as you have to walk single file down the aisles, especially if there are customers at the tables. Regardless, the decor is nicely done with cool copper looking A/C ductwork exposed among the black painted rafters and beams in the ceiling. I was immediately arrested by the Apple Fritter French Toast, French toast style fritters with fried apples, rum butter sauce, blueberries and powdered sugar! Both the description and the pictures on the menu were mouth-watering! But I was also torn between that and the Bourbon Street Pancakes, three house-recipe cakes topped bananas, pecans, rum butter sauce drizzle and whipped cream. Yeah, I was thinking exactly what you are thinking right now! After much indecision, I opted for the French Toast, with a side of eggs and chicken sausage. My mom ordered the Pumplin Crunch Waffle, a pumpkin infused graham cracker crunch Belgian waffle, spiced pumpkin cheesecake butter, maple pumpkin syrup and powdered sugar. I also opted to try one of their Cranberry Pomegranate Fizz Mocktail, which was iced tea, cranberry and pomegranate syrups, lime and ginger beer, with rosemary and orange peel! We were taking no calories prisoner today! After a short wait, my mocktail was brought out. It was just okay. First, the glass was completely full of ice so there was barely any drink. The syrups were a little too sweet and the ginger beer was not very prominent. As I was tasting it, our server came back to inform me that they were out of apples for my French Toast. Maybe its just me, but 9am seems kind of early to be running out of ingredients for your featured dish at a breakfast/brunch restaurant... Anyway, that dilemna settled, I reverted to my other choice and got the Bourbon Pancakes. I also asked the server to remake my mocktail with less ice, which he obliged very quickly. Our food arrived shortly thereafter and the pancakes were really good! Just the right amount of flavor and syrup. My mom's belgian waffle was also pretty good, although she wished it had been larger. The eggs and sausage were decent, but not especially memorable. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first meal back in Jackson. I would not hesitate to come again! read more

Food and service were outstanding! Huevos rancheros with chorizo is my go to at Another Broken Egg. We were seated right away and the waiter was super friendly and even bantered back and forth with us while ordering and asking questions. I love Another Broken Egg! The omlettes are good. Biscuits are huge. They have pork alternatives for the breakfast meat, such as chicken sausage. There are quite a bit of seafood options too. I've honestly enjoyed almost everything I've had here - especially the Gouda grits.... but potatoes could definitely use some seasoning. Hope that helps when choosing your side. ABE has a have a full bar and great cocktails, so if you're someone who likes mimosas for brunch, this spot is for you. However, I recommend the blueberry margarita or the blackberry mule...Delicious! Overall, go! And if you're solo, sit at the bar. Both me and my wife enjoyed todays visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe in Flowood. Upon arrival we were seated pretty quick and our orders were taken and delivered in a timely manner. Im from Flowood and came home to visit. My boyfriend and I went to dine at Another Broken Egg and it was the worst experience. Not sure what had happened in the 2 years since I last ate there but the place was filthy and gross, we were told that the wait was 15-20 minutes , even tho there were tables available and staff standing around. We sat at the bar and the bar tender (who's literally doing all the work ) informed us we could eat at the bar. Why wasn't the hostess capable of telling us? Because she was too busy yapping to the waitress who wasn't waiting on people. The food came out and the potatoes were dry and tasted like they were cooked at 4 am and sat out all day , not to mention what they called an omelette was actually some egg smashed on top of vegetables and ALL of the cheese on the top. It wasn't even rolled or resembled an omelette shape. I should have taken a picture but as I type this, I'm praying I don't get food poisoning. How are you a breakfast place and your cook can't make an omelette?? How is that possible? I'm so disappointed in the quality of service, food, and cleanliness. Waited 45 minutes to be seated. Received text table was ready. Advised our name had been removed from list. Seated 6 people in a 4 person booth. (4 adults- 2 children) Ordered food. 55 minutes later food arrived. Order was cold. Supreme omelette was blackened (burned) and cold when it arrived. Benets (appetizer) arrived after food was served. Grace was our server and had the BEST tableside manners. She was extremely welcoming especially after she found out it was our first time there. She was attentive and made suggestions based on what we said we liked- savory vs sweet. The peaches and bourbon pancakes with the rum butter sauce was an explosion of fruity, sweet delight! This time the food took a while and when it got to the table, my omelet looked as if it had been sitting under a hot lamp for quite some time. I ordered and omelet. The top was crispy and burnt. And the avocados on top were brown and mushy... (not bc they weren't ripe, but bc they got hot ). I emailed the restaurant about other issues. Hope it was just a bad day! read more

I usually don't eat breakfast, but I had some time to kill and wasn't sure what to do with it, so... I ate Haven't been to this location, the wait wasn't long, so why not. Ordered the crab cake benedict, loaded grits, and half a Belgium waffle. After I took my pic, and did my video was when I noticed a whole egg shell was in it, Ashley my server got it all fixed up! Poached egg was cooked perfectly, this was more of a hollandaise with andouille rather than andouille-infused, still good, grits were great as well. I do prefer my Belgium waffles to be slightly more dense, and crisper, these were on the lighter, fluffier side, almost like the consistency of a pillowy donut. This is like our 4-5th visit here and it's a great breakfast/ brunch place. My wife and I love Eggs Benedict in any form . One of the poached eggs on my dish was cold. Thus the rating. They do a great job and we keep coming back. Our server, Logan was great. The caramel coffee was great and we will try to duplicate it at home. Some of their seating bottoms need upgrading. We understand that special occasions cause long wait times. We get that the restaurant may be short staffed or very busy....What I will never be understanding of is spending over $80 dollars for an order that's to go and it's cold. I will never understand a staff member saying "Well you can warm it up". There must be some type of lapse in judgement to expect a customer to leave a restaurant and go home to warm it up because you decided it was appropriate customer service to give them cold food. Another great breakfast. The menu was slightly different from what I viewed online with several additional items that made my meal choice difficult. I ordered the shrimp and grits. My first impression when I saw my plate was, where are the shrimp. After tasting, the flavors were excellent, the grits were cheesy, and while not big, there was a fair amount of shrimp. What a great menu! When you are eating with a few different people- different ages, different size appetites and from different places, variety on a menu is perfect. At Another Broken Egg, there is something g for everyone. I had the Mardi Gras omelet which was stuffed with shrimp and other wonderful items that I usually don't find on a breakfast menu in West Texas. It came with and English muffin, and grits that can come as loaded as you like- and they were so creamy! The coffee went down real easy. My neice had the veggie omelette with fruit and my sister had the salmon bagel Benedict which came with two poached eggs on an everything bagel with lox, plus the grits...those creamy grits. Finally think this is my last try of Another Broken Egg. I understand the service industry is taking a hit with employees right now , so I won't factor in the wait at the table. But, the food was terrible. I ordered a simple order of buttermilk pancakes and bacon. The pancakes came out, and they were burnt and hard as rubber. The bacon finally came out 25 minutes later and it was BURNT TO A CRISP! The fact that they actually brought this out to the table is baffling. We went on a sunday so it is understandable that a wait would be a little while. However, our server had too big of a section with at least 5 4-top tables outside and additional tables inside. It seemed like he disappeared and we didn't see him for long periods of time. He was very nice and it was not his fault he had such a large section. The food was alright - we each got potatoes as our side and 2/3 orders were dry. Further, I ordered eggs benedict and one egg was nearly cooked all the way through. So I've thought alot about this & while I hate to do it I have to ... my review is being downgraded due to the following: Lack luster service or rather lack of enthusiasm Weak coffee & no espresso option Issues with food items and it's more im the menu item construction so it's difficult to say hey my poached eggs in this Benedict are fully runny because then it all has to be remade and I've never been given runny eggs I'm a Benedict before. And on to the grave French toast the French toast is beautiful but there was 4x too much guava paste inside I had to scoop it out & in total it was about the size of a stick of butter!! Not to mention it didn't taste at all like guava but like strawberry .... Also I'm ver glad I asked for the Nutella on the side or it would've been more like pb&j French toast so just small issues but we had the same types of issues the last time as well so unfortunately we're removing a star & rethinking local breakfast options at this price $45 for 2 people... not terrible but it should be better on the bright side the sweet potatoes, homemade sausage & my over medium eggs were really good read more

I have eaten at a few of these for breakfast and this one was by far my favorite so far. I had the "Hey Lucy Omelette" no guacamole! Add flour tortilla instead of the English Muffin. It was great with a little of their pepper sauce! I also added a small stack of pancakes. They were pretty good also. They had decent coffee. Not too weak and not to strong. If your like my wife you will need to ask for more sugar on the table for your coffee. There are only four packs in the table tray. The service was great and everything was clean. This includes the bathrooms. If your in this area I highly recommend this place for a great breakfast. read more
