Food is very good, large portions, will not leave hungry. Service could use some additional training, I would like more lighting.

My favorite restaurant. Food is good. The only negative is the very long weight.. I went there on a Sunday was first in the door at 11 AM. I was seated and ordered within 10 minutes. It took over an hour to get our food, and the place wasn't even half full. The waiter acted like he relaxed didn't care. We still left him a good tip! The food was bland no seasoning, and the meat tasted old and sour. Even are plain pizza took the over 30 minutes to get. The bread we got was very little, and i guess not refilled. Cannot say enough good things about this place as a dining experience. Service was awesome. Three of my friends and I travel to Flowood for a concert at a nearby church. None of us had ever eaten here before. Everyone had something different and it was amazing! Reasonably priced. There was a line outside the door and we were pressed for time. I was surprised to know that our weight would only be 10 minutes and it was. The ambience and decor was Italian, of course. The restaurant is in a mall type setting. I really did not expect the service and quality of food to be so palatable. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area! read more

We are here from out of state while my husband is working in the area and pulled up best restaurants in the area. This place did not disappoint..very nicely decorated and welcoming atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and our waiter was very attentive. Now let us say we have been to Italy several times and the food there is amazing, the food here was just as good with an American twist. Husband had lasagna and I had the Tuscany chicken. Both meals were excellent. The restaurant score was an A! Very satisfied! read more

Parking was not a problem, as there are several areas to park at or near the restaurant. There is ample seating with good spacing between tables. It was clean in the dining areas. Our waiter was friendly, professional and represented the restaurant well. We had a party of 5, we were walk ins and didnt have to wait long to be seated. I believe we were ahead of the dinner rush. We got there around 6pm. I ordered the fettuccine imperial, it came with grilled chicken. It was a pretty good meal, really good flavor, nice portion also. There is a full bar, so if you choose to have an alcoholic beverage, they have you covered, mixed drinks, domestic and imported beer are available. Cash/Credit/Debit are the payment options. Im not sure if Apple/Google or Samsung pay was available. read more

I scoured through yelp reviews for Flowood and Jackson for 45 minutes before I found Amerigo. Jeremy and Elliot were a bartenders that made me a great espresso martini and had many suggestions about what to order off the menu. I sat at the bar next-door, a gentleman named Maurice, who was very friendly. We sat at the bar and chatted about his grandkids and my kids the majority of the time I was there. After ordering the espresso martinis, I ordered a half order of the cheese fritters with the marinara and mustard sauce. I followed that with an entree of the fish of the day with polenta and asparagus. The cheese fritters were great, but were quite filling. After eating them and my entree , I didn't have room for tiramisu, which is upsetting because it looked out outstanding and everyone else was eating the same thing which is usually a sign. I recommend Amerigo bar area for locals or anyone visiting Flowood that wants a lively fun atmosphere to have a meal or a drink. Cheers! read more

I want to start by saying that Fondren is the absolute best location of Amerigo. We have been eating at Amerigo for 30+ years and while the Ridgeland location was the best for a very long time, it has been surpassed by Fondren. The service as well as the food at the Fondren location are always consistent. I would recommend that you sit at the bar and eat with Will the bartender but he got a promotion to a management role so I can't speak to the bartender now but I've heard good things about him. We love to go on a Sunday afternoon where we get seated quickly at the bar and we feel like we get very quick and personal service sitting there. This location has a cozy feel, but not the dark feel of the two other locations. There was a time that I did like the darkness of the Ridgeland location, but not anymore. We are too old and cant see well LOL read more

I went with my wife and son because he wanted a steak. I thought well OK. The online menu says they do have one steak. He and my wife both ordered the steak and loved it. I did get a taste of hers and it was great. They didn't like the mashed potatoes as much as I did. I had the seafood pasta. It was wonderful. I ate every bit of the seafood. It filled me up and I left a pile of spaghetti. No desert for us we were too full. We will be back. read more

My husband and I went there today! We sat in the bar area, started off okay. We heard the bartender bashing another bartender, a manager had to tell the bartender to take care of us or start us off... got our order placed.. 2 ladies came in (way after us) and sat at the actual bar, they got greeted within a minute, they got their drinks and ordered. They got their food AND left before we even got our food.. it took over 45 minutes for us to get our food. Plus my food was NOT even right. When I made a comment about the food taken 45 minutes.. the server had a HUGE attitude and said "you want a manger" and we said yeah....i heard her going off in the back because of it. Definitely will not be going back... we had at least 6 different people to "take care" of us. It was our first time there and the last. It's sad that we had to have to ask for salads that we ordered, bread (that comes to every table), and refills on drinks...and waters with our alcoholic beverages... will not return to this location again. No server out of the 6 that we had never table touched our table letting us know that food was running long or anything... over all the food was decent. 63 dollars later... plus a 15 dollar tip t.. to one out the six people that "took care of us" we will not return!! read more

The service was prompt and friendly. Great atmosphere . The chicken Marsala needs work however I did not taste any Marsala wine in the dish at all. Artichokes are not commonly a part of the dish either. The gravy should be a rich brown not red. The fettuccini Alfredo also needs help you only need butter, cheese, pasta, and a touch of pasta water. There is no cream in Alfredo. The presentation was beautiful but the flavor was not there. Food and service was amazing, but there was something to be desired with the ambiance... Around 8:45 before they stopped seating the hostess/ lady at the front pulled out a vacuum and started vacuuming while patrons were still there. I thought it was a little ridiculous and I could tell other patrons were disgruntled as well. I personally feel like the ambiance was a little off for me after that. I work for two other upscale restaurants in the area and we would never consider vacuuming while patrons are still in the building. For my two jobs, vacuuming or sweeping are opening activities for when customers are not there. Genuinely, the only thing bad about my night. read more

I was recommended Amerigos and it was close to my hotel, so i made sure to visit. Restaurant in Flowood is nice, great ambiance, full of kind staff happy to assist. I sat at the bar and was taken care of by a man named Jeremy, great bartender. Pleasant servers were all over, and the patrons at the bar made it a great experience. Sadly my meal gave me feel a little ill, I won't hesitate to go back as oddly as that sounds. I ventured out on the menu and got something that might have been a bit off. Although our arrival was only so so due to the host being less than friendly, our server was fantastic. She offered prompt service, warm bread and oil, and quick drink service. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, the arugula salad with apples and Gorgonzola, and the pasta with duck sausage. The crab cakes were solid. The pieces of red pepper were a little large and the bean/corn succotash should have been served warm, but overall I would order the appetizer again. The duck sausage pasta dish had a bit of spice but was not so spicy that all other flavors were lost. I may not order this dish every time, but I would definitely order it again. My wife's entree looked to have stayed under a heat lamp, until mine was ready. Figured hers would have been refired. Second time eating here. First in person (last one was takeaway). It was solid. Not amazing but not bad. Service was good. Cesar salad half portion was $7 but full portion is $9.50, crazy. Bruschetta was okay but probably wouldn't get again. Shrimp primavera was great. Chicken parm was good but not as good as my friend Chris' version, sadly Chris lives 2000 miles away so this will do the job the meantime. read more
