I enjoyed our visit to Amore, our first. Visited from out of town prior to concert. The wait was short, although the only drawback was I think they were short staffed. The food was absolutely delicious, perfect temperature also! I had Lobster Ravioli and husband had the Pasta Sampler. We also enjoyed a salad with some delicious fresh bread prior to entre. Authentic, hole-in-the-wall kind of place you wanna eat at! When you walk in, you are greeted by the delicious fragrance of Italian goodness. The atmosphere very quaint , server friendly , Lasagna, and Spaghetti meatballs lukewarm warm when served. The meat for lasagna was not warm and just ruined the dish. It seemed like the meat was added but not heated when layered with pasta and baked with the cheese. The cheese and sauce was hot but the meat was not. The meatballs were the same. The Caesar salad with dressing good and bread tasty and crunchy. Just so disappointed when I wanted Italian meal. I've been here twice and it was delicious both times. The first time I had the vodka sauce pasta, and the second time I had a salmon pasta. The salmon was cooked so well that it was just falling apart. The inside is comfortable enough that you feel like you're in someone's house. The decorations were festive without being too much. The staff is very friendly and recognize locals. I forgot to take a picture of the main course because it was just so delicious. Bread isn't my style but good. The Blue Moon Beers were served ice cold in a child glass. You knew there was spice in the Arbiata penne. The Beef Canneloni was good. Both served heat hot and aromatic. The tiramisu is homemade and tasted excellent. Service was quaint and gracious. Prompt but not overbearing. It's good to have another Italian restaurant close to where I live near the reservoir. The chicken piccata is my favorite meal. I don't eat pasta much so I get mine over spinach. Very good! I've never been to Italy but this seems like it's authentic. The Greek dressing is amazing. read more

We went here tonight, and it was amazing! We had fried ravioli as an appetizer, which was delicious. Then, we had baked ziti and chicken Parmesan (with Alfredo sauce instead of marinara), and it was so delicious! The portions were good size, especially of the chicken parm. Our entrees also came with a large salad each, and they served rolls at table. We had the cannoli as dessert, and it was incredible! It had chocolate chips in the filling, and had chocolate sauce drizzled on the outside and whip cream. This was our first time visiting, and I would highly recommend. So overhyped. Our server was so nice and chatted with us (3 top) during drink and appetizer order. Let us know that we would have fresh bread soon - notice there is no picture of any because we didn't get any - ever. The server was pulled off our table and we were given her son who just started. I'm all about dealing with a new server as long as they actually come to the table. We got our appetizer and drinks quickly but that was the extent of the good service. The 6 top next to us was served their food before us and she opened multiple bottles of wine for them. We were able to get a water refill when they went to refill the large top not the dr peppers the other two of us had. When the food finally came my manicotti was cold by the time I got the second bite. This was my first time eating there and see no reason to go back. This is my first ever review ever just because of how amazing my experience was. Me and my boyfriend ate here for Valentine's Day and neither of us had been. We had Sarah as our server who was such a cool person. She even speaks Russian and French which was so cool. The food was also incredible!! I have been to Italy before and the food there is truly spectacular and this was by far the closest I've had. The flavors were amazing and i could not stop eating the bread. I loved the ambiance, interactions, and the experience in general. 10/10 and my first and probably only review ever but truly an amazing dinner and I would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian and wants a date night or a night out with friends. :) read more

The first time I ordered from here it was carryout, because I wasn't feeling well, and my taste bud's were shot, so yesterday we went to dine in. They're open on Sunday's, and had Frutti Di Mare which isn't on a lot of menus around here, and is one of my favorite Italian dishes, so I was all for the go. We started off with the Calamari. Very lightly battered, not heavy at all, the marinara sauce that came with it was delish! Sweet and tangy, I ended up using it to dip my garlic knots in. Your meal is accompanied with soft, warm, garlic knots, omg so good!! I took the chopped garlic that was in the olive oil that came with the knots, and added it to the marinara sauce that came with our calamari, perfection! Your meal also comes with a big salad. I'm a plain Jane when it comes to salad, I just want lettuce, but theirs had spinach and arugula, fancy! Wasn't my thing, but my husband loves spinach and arugula so he was happy to have an extra salad. He ordered the Veal Piccata, I got the Frutti Di Mare. My plate came out and WOW ain't she a beaut?! But for a split second I thought maybe they brought me the wrong dish, but it looks amazing, so that's fine I'm used to Frutti Di Mare being like a seafood spaghetti, with a more prominent tomato based sauced and paired with Linguine or Fettuccine pasta. Their sauce was more of a creamy tomato sauce, and the pasta was thicker like Pappardelle pasta. Maybe this is another version of Frutti Di Mare that I haven't had, or from another region. Overall still very good. Veal Piccata was good, but we will request it on angel hair pasta next time, imo it soaks up all that good sauce better than spaghetti noodles. Veal was tender, we like to pucker up just a little when we eat Piccata, so we added a squeeze of lime and it was perfect! Our server was amazing!! She was very friendly and attentive. She saw my professional camera and asked if I just came from the rez, because she enjoys taking pictures of beautiful sceneries. Good menu with great lunch specials! They bring this awesome bread with olive oil that is full of garlic and seasoning. I had the chicken Parmesan (one of the lunch specials) and my hubs had the veal piccata (not on the lunch menu) . I had a house salad with the house dressing- which is a tomato basil vinaigrette. I wasn't crazy about it so I opted for Caesar instead which was amazing! The dressing comes in a little cup so it makes it easy to "try" it first. The spaghetti with marinara was so good- had a little bit of sweetness to it which I loved! The chicken parm was thin and lightly breaded- the taste of the bread crumbs from the breading really comes through. It was then topped with a ton of mozzarella. The veal was over cooked and lacked flavor. I don't think it had enough salt (for me anyway). It was thinly sliced, breaded and had plenty of capers in the sauce. For $28 my husband said he wouldn't get it again. It was just too oily. After we ate she brought our checks without offering dessert- I had to request an Italian cream cake and Cannoli to go. Both were good but not like "omg this is amazing!"... NOTE: Our bill was $60.99 cash or $62.82 card. This was a first for me so I am not sure what this is all about? So.. if you go here, take cash! Absolutely lovely experience (I'm in my 20s but that's the best word to describe the experience). They are so kind and considerate! Overall very special and memorable for both the kids (ages 1-5) and the adults (ages 23-64). The food is amazing, as are the drinks! The atmosphere is charming and relaxing, and the environment is spotless, including the restrooms. Lasagna tasted as though it was store-bought even though I DO think it was made in-house. The sauce tasted similar to a ragu meets classic. The cheese is the same cheese used on Pizza Hut pizza. Verdict - 3 stars. Why? 1. It was better than the usual egg noodles and ketchup. 2. As an Italian I am just a harsh critic. 3. The food did arrive warm to semi-hottish. 4. The sauce had flavor. 5. Lasagna was not mushy. 6. For Italian food it isn't great. 7. For Italian food in the Jackson area, it's better than the other restaurants in the area. 8. Would do it again but just for lunch. 9. I got the Tour of Italy, which contains the Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna, and Fettuccine Alfredo, they were all very flavorful and delicious. The Pasta Sampler (which contains 3 types of pasta which I can't spell) was great. The spaghetti was also high-quality and scrumptious. Our server was extremely nice and catered to our needs. I ordered the Salmon Piccata, while the lemon flavor was quite good, but the DO NOT KNOW HOW TO COOK FISH. SALMON is such a delicate and quick cooking fish, over-cooking it is a disaster. Which is what they did: tough, dry, difficult to chew. My husband ordered the red snapper; same problem. He had to take fish off the pasta and cut it with a knife to get it to a bite-size piece. The thing about cooking fish is that getting it to the " almost done stage" is ABSOLUTE, BECAUSE the inner part of the fish will continue cooking until you get it to the table. OBVIOUSLY, neither the cook nor the proprietor know this. Sad. I don't have a restaurant but I have been cooking for my large family for 65+ years. read more
