Came in for lunch with my son. They were busy so we had to wait a while to be seated. Once seated, we were immediately greated by our waitress. We ordered water and I ordered coffee. The coffee and water came out in no time. The coffee was hot, which is a good thing. The food took a little while to arrive. It's understandable considering how busy they were. My son really liked his food. My food was ok. I asked for my bacon to be crispy but it wasn't. Not a big deal though. The service was good. The manager went to every table asking if everything was good. I asked him for more napkins and he brought it to us. Overall, great experience. This Denny's has excellent service with Pleasant efficient servers, and bus people. Management does great in keeping everything running smoothly and they're out there doing their share of hard work helping their employees. Everyone here definitely practices great team work. Went here for the first time, this is also my first yelp review so bear with me. We ordered 2 different dishes, next time I'll take pics. Chicken Philly Melt - $9.59: Very good sandwich, extremely cheesy with appropriately grilled chicken and well seasoned mushrooms and peppers. Came with fries which I will describe later. Chicken Tenders Dinner - $10.99: Not a very good rating on this one... 4 very skinny, somewhat dry "Tenders" looks like a kids meal, very bad for the price... We got it with 2 sides: fries and brocolli, I agree they were poorly chosen, but just weren't exciting at all. It also came with garlic bread, very thin and small but tasty. Sides -Fries: Pretty bland, you have to pay 59¢ extra for seasoning which is pretty pathetic. We didnt and they were very bland even dumping pepper on them didnt help. The texture was good however and they were very crispy. They came with the sandwiches and were ordered as one of the sides for the -Brocolli: Our first time getting a side like this and they were OK, no flavor or anything just pan heated brocolli, pretty small portion. Service - The service was decent, respectful waitresses, we were seated near the dishwashing area, but we didn't complain, torn seats at the booth we were at. The waitress did not ask if we needed a drink refill, but were very polite. Overall good service . Overall - I would recommend the restaurant as long as one doesn't order the chicken tenders dinner, would highly recommend the chicken Philly. Next time we go to Dennys we will order breakfast however since its cheaper and has a larger selection. read more

Called in my order like normal, the girl who answered must have been new because she had a hard time putting my order in. I went over 15 mins later to pick up my food, and was asked if i was dining in. Told them no, im picking up. The girl said she was going to check if it was ready, came back and didnt say anything to me. I asked her again if it was ready and she left again. Waited waited waited. Eventually i left and when i called to ask what happened to my food, the manager told me it was waiting for me but that the order was wrong. She offered me a free meal and when i tried to redeem it, the GM gave me a hard time. Saying i dont have a receipt so how does he know i actually get the compensation. I told him that the manager told me exactly what to say and so i repeated it to him. He said she was on maternity leave and didnt leave a note of the incident. I told him thats a him problem. After a lot of back and forth he finally gave me the meal. I love dennys but this is by far the WORST one in the antelope valley. How are you going to guve me horrible service, offer an "im sorry" meal, and then turn that into horrible servuce as well?! read more

This is the best Denny's in the A.V.! My husband and I met our son for a late lunch. We were greeted and seated quickly. Robert, our waiter, was very friendly and took great care of us. He checked on us nemerous times, quick to bring whatever we needed, especially drink refills. He went beyond normal service we usually recieve. Heather is the best waitress ever (too bad she wasn't our waitress). She took our drink order and brought them, then she took our food order. Moneer was our waiter (worst waiter ever) didn't bother to check on us even though he walked by our table numerous times. Heather (Superstar waitress) checked on us for refills and if we needed anything. Moneer didn't even bring our food, and he finally showed up when we were almost done to ask if we needed anything. I think Moneer missed his calling as a DMV employee. By the way, the food was good. read more

Ok... Every now and then I'm really impressed with a chain restaurant. This is one of those times. Everything is perfect this morning. The cook Cruz and the waitress Mary Lou made my day with awesome coffee and service and Cruz with his amazing skills making a fluffy tasty meaty omelet and the most flavorful pancakes I have tasted to date. I had a fabulous meal here last night. I and my wife sauntered in at 11 pm. Both starved and exhausted after a rather long day's of work . Honestly we came to Denny's since AV doesent offer too many choices after 10.30 pm. Dennys is a one place where you are certain to get food any time of night or day. With minimal expectations I and my wife ordered chicken philly sandwiches, which come with fries . We were so hungry, we could have eaten plain bread! But what came to us through the kindly and most polite waiter Mr Salvador came as a shock ! It was utterly delicious. Well beyond delicious... the sandwich was bursting with flavor . The seasoned fries were crisp and tasty and with a chilled coke to wash down all that heavenly food made the meal an unforgettable and yummmmmmmy experience. We finished our scrumptious food with a banana split which the manager Kelly herself served. I couldn't help but gush to Kelly later on that it was one of the best dining experiences I'd ever had at ANY Denny's. And I MEANT it. These beautiful people-- Kelly and Salvador -- through their exceptional customer service have captured my heart. And I'm certainly going to keep going back! If I could put no stars I would. Absolute trash of a Denny's. We put our name in and waited about 30 mins to be seated and upon being called we were separated as a party. We were a party of 6 yet originally they wanted to seat us apart. We were told due to Covid they couldn't seat us together yet there were other parties of 6 and 8 seated around us. We said we would wait for an different table to be together. We waited for another 25 mins. Then we sat down and finally was able to put our drink and food order. Already one of the servers had a huge attitude when we told her we were ready to order. After ordering it was another 20 or so mins no check in or being notified there was a delay. It wasn't until I got frustrated from waiting so long to eat and see others who were seated after us receive their food first. Apparently one of the members of our party noticed our order was ready but still on a tray to be brought. It hasn't arrived yet and when we got our food it was cold. Again due to the negligence to the servers with over the top attitudes. When we said we weren't going to eat the cold food and are closing our check we were given even more attitude and excuses of why were weren't served fast enough. We get it it's hard with one chef but when there's negligence and attitude from servers and hosts that's where I draw the line. Never again will we return. read more

Wow! My first time here at 1pm for breakfast and what a great food experience. My coffee was hot and good, meat lovers omelet was very tasty and the service was right on. Sure, one could attribute all the above to it being a Wednesday after the breakfast crowd, but that didn't matter so long as the food was good. I like the decor as well. This Denny's used to be an alright joint to go to late at night, but recently (right around the time of their half-assed renovation) this place has failed me time and time again. Their servers are inattentive, the food is sub-par, and the atmosphere is depressing. Listen, I get it, a late night diner isn't exactly 5-star gourmet food, but what was once a reliable place to eat has turned to absolute garbage. I once waited 25 minutes for any server to even offer some of their disgusting tap water. It was a disgrace! Just like any other Dennys nothing special but its somewhere you can go at midnight or later. And you can have breakfast anytime of the day and night. They also have budget meals that is not too bad. I usually get the seafood platter with rice and veges and make me full and have to bring home the dinner bread. Walked in, "sat us right away." Told us that the side with the bar/counter was closed and one booth in the opposite corner was closed, no light. Took them 15 minutes to clear/clean the "only booth open," while we stood there waiting to sit down and eat. Five minutes after we placed our order, they were sitting people in the "closed section" and at the booth with no light. Then we got our food....... My hash browns were BURNT to the point I could only eat the inner 1/4 of them. I ordered "Moons Over My Hammy", super fluffy eggs, tons of cheese and thick cut ham, done great. A great diner to stop through. Came in on a Saturday and it was decently packed. 2 minute wait and they seated us. Unlimited pancakes came and were cheap and came out super quickly. Our waiters name was Juan and definitely gave us the best service I have ever had at a dennys. This diner was definitely pleasing for a nice breakfast with quick service.
