Even though they were clearly super busy, they were still very friendly and upfront that there would be about a 15-minute wait for a table. We appreciated the honesty, so we waited patiently and eventually got seated. We found out that the Lancaster location doesn't always have the same beers as the Palmdale brewery location, so unfortunately they didn't have the Waterfront Lager we loved. We were a little bummed, but our waitress gladly brought us samples so we could find something else we liked. We ended up ordering a lighter blonde beer since many of the others were too hoppy for our taste. We also tried their handmade mango and pineapple micheladas and WOW! both were so good. The food was delicious too. We ordered the totchos (loaded tator tots), 6-piece hot wings, and the Asian sliders. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. Even though they were slammed busy, the waitresses continued checking on us regularly throughout the night. Overall, it ended up being a really great date night. The ambiance is casual, fun, and welcoming, and both locations gave us excellent service. Lucky Luke is definitely going to become one of our regular date night spots moving forward!

I'm only giving one star because I have to I order to leave a review. I just recently relocated here and this is my second time eating at this establishment. The first I ordered a Strawberry Banana Belgian Waffle. When my food arrived it was only the strawberries. I called and spoke with the person who answered the phone and they were apologetic. I said it's okay I understand, we are human and everyone makes mistakes. Well here it is two weeks later and I'm craving something sweet but I'm not a big candy person so I said to myself, let me order some pancakes. I go online to see exactly what I wanted, I scroll across a picture that I think would absolutely kill my craving...(pregnant woman on the prowl here) so I call and place my order and the lady who answers the phone(Ariana) places my order. I order the Salted Caramel pancake with chocolate chips and the bacon and etc. She tells me it'll be ready in about 10 minutes(9:25 to 9:42pm). So I'm in my head I'm like yes!!!! I'll eat this and be sleep in no time being that I have work at 5am. So I get there and the server( Gregory the Night Manager) is placing my order in the bag. As he is doing this he is reciting my order and placing the containers in the bag. So I'm like okay he's putting everything in there (it's about to go down). So I get home and take the container out of the bag and set the pancakes to the side. I go to the kitchen and add my salsa and hot sauce to my eggs and ketchup to my hash browns. So boom( like the fat person I am...I crawl in to my bed ready to ad the toppings to my pancakes). I open the bag to grab the containers out and the only thing I have is the butter and the syrup. At this point I am LIVID!!!! I call Dennys and express my concern. I speak to GREG( the manager) and he offers me a free drink or I can come pick up the sides. I expressed to by the time all of that is done my order will now be room temp 2 cold and I no longer wanted the order. I wanted a refund. He says okay just bring the order in. So now 15 mins later... hungry, pregnant and back in 40 degree weather, I'm back in the car headed to Dennys for what I thought would be a refund. I get there and Greg( the manager) tells me he can't give me a refund!!!!! Well before I left my house in 40 degree I expressed that what I wanted. Now I'm here and it can't be done. So I ask for the manager and he tells me he is the manger but he can't refund it. So I ask for the contact information for his manager and he provides me with a 661# so I said we'll do you guys have a complaint line like a 800# and tells me let me get it for you... he comes back with Ariana and they tell me that I can go on google and look it up. I asked what time Barbra the General manager would be so that I many speak with her and Greg tells me. He said she would be able to issue my refund and that I need to speaks with her. So as I leave the store I'm looking for the number that's usually posted somewhere around the front of the store and there is nothing. At this point I find out that this not a corporation but a franchise (which makes the situation even more annoying). Soooooo at this point I have to wait until 6 in the morning and call here when I go on my lunch break to discuss the issue. I will definitely be leaving a follow up review though. *****Update***** So I spoke with Arlene this morning regarding last night situation and she said she would gladly refund my money, apologized for my experience and offered to remake the order.... so I get off of work today and I head down to Dennys. She was pleasant and greeted me with a smile and again was very apologetic for the incident. She immediately refunded the money no questions asked and offered me anything on the menu. I just really wanted my bananas and pancakes. So I requested the same thing and it was out promptly. She even offered me a drink. Before I left she doubled checked everything in the bag again and EVEN THREW IN A DRINK AND A GIFT CARD ( way more than expected)!!!!!! Okay I don't know if anybody reads these but if they do I want to make this sound really important so Denny's on I I had ordered food I had ordered some salad and some meat and it was brought to me and it was horrible I couldn't even put my fork through the meat without having to put pressure and the salad was so wilted it was disgusting I can't even I'm a texture person I can't I couldn't so I called of course and said I spent $30 I want a better meal but I was already on my way out of town so I asked if I could have it a later date the lady who answered the phone said sure no problem what's the name so I gave him the name and I told them that I would be in at a later time she said no problem come tonight I so I could eat because I'm going through it and I'm starving and moving all day and I had a really rough time all day stressful so I come and I'm like okay well at least I'll get my meal right because I'm hungry and I really don't have money right now so it might help go in to go get it the manager there actually did call the supervisor from yesterday morning when I had the receipt and then called his general manager who said don't do it can you believe that the GM said not to give customers what they need but the manager there knows something about customer service and knows something about keeping a customer the only reason why I will be going back here is because Alan totally handled business and made my night somewhat enjoyable and I appreciate it so much this man deserves a raise no joke thank you again Alan I hope they read this in do as I suggest read more

Place is gross. Tables,chairs,walls, and glass was all just dirty. You can see thru the cook window and the cook line stainless steel is all built up with grease. I can only imagine how dirty the kitchen is. I still decided to eat. It took 25 mins for 2 omelletes . Food was good,but id rather have had fresh cracked eggs and not liquid eggs . No splenda @ the table. Salsa was not present was empty. Tabasco bottle was also less then a qtr empty.service wasnt great. Walked in and watched the waitress just stand there for 8mins while she figuered out how to put an order in . Then i suppose the manager sat us wasnt overall a plesent exprience. Looks like togo was a priorty as we watch orders came out the kitchen and being bagged while we waited for our food. Dont know how togo is a priorty over a dine in customer. Dine in maybe had 6 tables . Looks like they had maybe 3 waitresses but none really looked like they knew what they were doing. This place needs new mangement and a good cleaning . I used to go here a few years back and it wasnt so ran down like it is now. Wow what happened . I AM SHOCKED, I read a number of Reviews and I feel they and I went to TWO different locations. I enjoy this Denny's like a second home. I moved from L.A to Lancaster and have found a place that has made me feel like "CHEERS" They are WONDERFUL from beginning to end. I thank them from Jessica, Blanca, Lucero, America, Nora, Cristina, Rose, Ashley, and Danny as well as Jose. They are sometimes so busy and still take the time to say hello and get my order as well as deliver the food hot and delicious. Jessica has taken me in as a dutiful Grandfather and she looks out for me, by correctly suggesting food that is more appropriate for a diabetic diet. I THANK all of them and although I may have forgotten some names they are a wonderful group of people that I feel privileged to have met. To my second home away from home that I really enjoy. So we went here today and had the worst service experience. The manager(EVELYN) laughed as we explained we were ignored for the first 20 min of being sat down. The manager Evelyn smirked the whole time and and thought it was perfectly acceptable that we didn't get refills on coffee, order was wrong. No forks or spoons. No syrup, Nohemy our server was the worst. NOHEMY was rude as we asked for a coffee refill.. No energy as if she rolled out of bed, didn't shower and a didn't want to be there. Terrible service from the beginning , our server Nohemi took over 10 minutes to even come to our table and ask us for drinks , she didn't even give us her name which is the first thing a server should DO! And who so happen to be the so called assistant manager EVELYN, worst service ever . I've worked the restaurant business and know what great customer service is and this by far is the worst . My wife and I love Denny's at this location. One of our " to go" restaurants when we want a good breakfast. Our server, whose name Blanca Martinez was on top of everything throughout the meal. I was impressed she remembered exactly what drinks my wife and I always order. The staff here meet us with smiles and welcome us as guests. I highly recommend this Denny's now. A few months ago the service was poor but now you can literally feel the difference. My waitress Deanna was really attentive. We were seated quickly, and the menu had a lot of American and Mexican options. We ordered the waffle combo, strawberry waffles, and chorizo and eggs. The food was delicious and the portions were good-sized. My teen daughter, who's eaten waffles from a variety of restaurants over the years, said, "I think these are the best waffles I've ever had!" The servers were attentive and friendly, and the price was a good value for the amount and quality of food. We'd definitely go to Chelly's again.

Nevertheless, I did manage to talk Mr. Picky into heading out east a significant distance to try the place because I had a backup plan in case they were closed. Our waitress was Tiffany and I cannot say enough good things about her. She had a great smile, had good energy, and bent over backwards in order to meet our requests and ensure that we enjoyed eating at the restaurant. We started with the soup du jour which was Chicken Enchilada. Wow moment. Yummy and one of the best soups I've eaten in a long time. Spicy, not too spicy, filled with corn and beans and cheese sprinkled on top. So, so good! Gold star to the genius chef behind that recipe. We unfortunately arrived on a day when they had a shortened, reduced menu. We had driven a significant distance to try the Firecracker Chicken which was not on the abbreviated menu. However - Tiffany to the rescue - our waitress asked the kitchen staff if they would prepare it for us, and they agreed to do so. Wonderful cooperation in the back and on the floor. Mr. Picky liked the chicken, we both thought the mashed potatoes were pretty good, I tried the squash side vegetable and enjoyed it very much because it was seasoned well, we liked the cornbread with honey butter, but our tummies ran out of room and we had to take the baked beans home with us. (Hint for a fabulous breakfast, somewhat English style, is to get buttered toast topped by fried eggs and then loaded up with piping hot baked beans spooned all over it. There is a good use for these leftovers :-) !) Soft folk music was playing in the background, or actually I think those were hymns played folksy style, very cute. We finished by sharing a large scoop of their homemade salted caramel ice cream, and liked it. The place seemed very clean, comfortable seating, not fancy, but a perfect fit for the menu. I had no idea there was a religious college out east, this one is Baptist, nor that they had a restaurant where the students can work, but it's a great idea and a good way to integrate the community with the school. Overall, we both said we would go back to try other things.
