I rarely write reviews. But when something's 1-star bad, something must be said. This location was once a great go-to after nightly 2AM closings at work nearby. Food was always really good and served hot, while service was also generally good and the servers reasonably reliable. Generally 4- / 5-star. The biggest red flag has always been multiple loiterers outside AND inside the building, which can make for some uncomfortable situations at times... When I went in this time just after 2AM on a Monday, that problem was on full display, with multiple booths occupied by said questionable folks, some of them full-on sleeping in multiple positions or head down on the table. When I sat down at the counter, the server (who has served me multiple times before) came over and immediately threw-off a "i hate my job" vibe (which we joked a moment about in "I hear you" style). She seemed disinterested, and bothered by having to take my order (tho, she wasn't rude [yet]), while I could also see in the cook's face that he was also not living the dream...he kinda just looked maybe mad or annoyed at the server for some unknown reason. Anywho, I ordered, adding "extra bacon" to the menu-described meal. When it came, I got "all bacon." I tell this to the server and she herself repeats that I said "extra bacon," and I explain how that's not "all bacon"...I ordered the meal as-is, with extra bacon. She then turns to the still-looking-annoyed cook and asks him for the missing sausages, then tosses them to me without care or apology and walks away. As I start to eat, it's clear the eggs were not at all over medium (yokes were cooked thru). I proceed to tell her about the eggs, which clearly annoyed her, and I also mention that the sausages she tossed to me were cold. I ultimately ask them to remake the whole meal... This sent her into a whole new level of "I hate my job" annoyed, as she began to get a little rude about it all, tossing my complaints and plate at the cook with a mocking tone and salty language...she says, "You keep saying you guys, and it's him, the cook [who's screwing this up]," while she crassly pointed at the order screen above her. Now I'm hot. I tell her AND the cook, out loud, that I don't know WTF is going on with she and he, but I came from my own unremarkable job for a good, hot, correct meal, and they should get it together and make that happen, without all the poor attitudes, salty language, and bad vibes and drama. After trying to point out that I'm talking salty now, too, I remind her that I (customer) CAN, she (employee) CAN'T, then, when she continues her nonsense, I ultimately stand up, tell her and him to fuck the fuck off, shove the food deep, and GTF rid of all these vagabonds...WHO TF ARE ALL OF THESE PEOPLE AND WHY TF ARE THEY ALWAYS HERE AND ALLOWED TO INEXPLICABLY HANG ABOUT AMONG PAYING CUSTOMERS?! As I'm walking away, she starts openly and loudly mocking me...more or less, "BYE!," "SEE YA'," "GTF OUT THEN!" Many of these events are similarly described by other reviewers here, especially the loitering. It's hard to imagine, franchise or corporate location, that Denny's is seemingly unconcerned about any of these poor conditions. I absolutely enjoy coming to this Dennys. I have been a customer for many years. The service Is always great and the servers are attentive and friendly. There is a waiters by the name of Ana who truly embodies the attitude of a respectful server, her hospitality is to be rewarded and recognized. The parking lot is full of trash you have to navigate and step over trash just to get into this establishment. The dining area is grimy you can literally see grim on tables, chairs and walls.
