We used the delivery service to our local hotel that Denny's offers (via DoorDash). Came in 30 minutes, everything is very fresh and tastes good. Denny's was nice enough to provide us with to go silverware and plenty of condiments for our breakfast order. I did call the restaurant because I wasn't aware the delivery came from another company. The women that I spoke to both were nice and helped me as much as what was in their power and I appreciate that! One recommendation (for corporate, not the restaurant) add a comments section online so we can ask for syrup or give delivery instructions maybe the restaurant could pass on to the driver. read more

This updated review is just for today's visit and NOT for the take out review in my previous one. When we got there the place was almost deserted, probably due to the weather. Our waitress, Amy, greeted us and showed us to a booth. Her bright personality was a great start. So was the coffee which showed up within seconds. My Southwestern Skillet arrived at the perfect temperature after a short wait. My wife's build your own slam arrived at the same time as well as out side orders of wheat pancakes. I was at this restaurant at about 5:15am on a snowy morning in February before catching a plane. The servers were alert and friendly. The bacon, pancakes and grits were excellent. Probably the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. I came with my two daughters. We waited 15 minutes before we were even greeted. Multiple tables that came in after us go their food before us. Not only was the kitchen staff obviously not capable of taking multiple orders our server was incompetent. Food was excellent, our waiter was Jojo, he was great, never would have known it was his first day in his own. He did a great job and his attitude, personality and smile were exceptional! Very good service. Servers always seem to be attentive and food comes out fast. Food is pretty good too. My only complaint is that toast needs more butter !! Omlettes are good.... 13 Oz breakfast steak is acually not bad at all and it comes with eggs, hash browns, and toast for under $10. Breakfast Sandwich is huge! Place looks clean. On one occasion, an overweight red-haired manager pulled all the servers near her (on the dining room floor area) and she proceeded to yell about something. I went to Denny's on Camp Road in Hamburg and overall, had a great experience. The only things that were a little off was the food was a bit cold but I will of course look past that. What I refuse to look past is the fact is that one of the workers known as Shelby insulted the behavior of our kind server Cole. I got a very bad taste in my mouth from her scathing words towards him because he was nothing but kind to us and made us feel very accommodated. Terrible service again! Very inattentive server - we had to wait quite awhile for tea and coffee . She had to be reminded to bring juice after the meal came and never returned to see if everything was ok or to give us our check. We had to go to the register to finally get the bill. In a sleepy town like Hamburg, sometimes Denny's is the only diner open and luckily they've added some lighter, healthier food to choose from. I do like this place a lot but... There are days when I want to go everyday but recentally I have started to notice that the works seem to not really care much but not all. I had one waitress, she was always there when u needed her. She got stuff fast and quick. But on the other side I have had people never come and take super long to get me my food. The couple times I've been there have not been good poor service and it smelled like urine in the building.

This was by far the absolute worst customer service I have ever received at this establishment. I have been coming here forever, let's go back 15 years ago when there was the breakfast dagwood! Amazing! However today was atrocious. I called in my order at 6:10pm and was told that my order would take 10 minutes since it was just pancakes and fries. I got there and waited second in line for about 15 minutes with absolutely no one coming to the front. After about 10 minutes and my ride outside calling me to see if I am ok because I have been in there so long, I asked if anyone is working up front. The manager yelled "we're busy." I said "I can see your busy (there was 7 seated tables as I counted them) but there is a line and no one has been here at all." She did not come up to help the growing line, she did a few minutes later walk past the growing line and go to the dining room. The whole time I was there my food was done and on the counter but she wouldn't cash me out. Then the fourth person in line asked another worked, one of the many that kept passing everyone, if a manager is here and said the "front should not be empty for so long." Again, a manager did not come. If I wasn't picking up food for my kids, I absolutely would have walked out. I work is customer service so I have a lot of empathy for anyone is customer service but this was so bad I wanted to make the establishment aware in hopes it will correct the problem in the future. I will not be there any time soon. The service was so bad I don't want to give my hard earned money there. I hope this can be addressed and in the future if I come back, customers will actually be acknowledged. read more
