Went here for breakfast and they have the traditional breakfast options many with a Greek twist to them. Be aware there are parking lots behind the building as well as metered parking in the street. Service was friendly and the restaurant interior is interesting and welcoming

We like to avoid crowds so we went on a Monday around 11am. It still got decently busy after we arrived, but the ambiance was still calm and I was able to hear my husband. Our server was Hunter and he was fantastic. He helped me decide on my order which was helpful and I was very pleased with his suggestion of the Gyro Skillet. The food was cooked to perfection. It was a large portion too so I took the leftovers for tomorrow! The chef brought out our food and was very kind as well. My husband loved trying three different kinds of Benedict, I think that's a cool option to have a Benedict flight. We love this place, definitely recommend! Their menu is full of options so we will have to come back to try more delicious food!

Zero Stars. 2 hours for Breakfast. Everything came out cold. Worst service. Had to beg for coffee. Eggs Benedict .....poached eggs were hard and cold.

I feel this is a hidden gem because you can drive right by it and not know it's there. Classic dinner like food. The blueberry pancakes were delicious so I'd love to try some of the other options. Service is very friendly. Plenty of tables and the wait wasn't long even on a Sunday which I was kinda surprised but happy.

Try the pancakes - they're soooooo good! Be sure to always tell them to cook the home fries extra crispy - otherwise they're too mushy imo. The new owner is so friendly and always stops by to say hello - so glad they took over - it's my go-to for breakfast!

My friend suggested this place and we went during lunch hour on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. We got seated right away. Cute and cozy place. Great place for brunch or dessert :) I didn't order any brunch food. I went straight for the dessert. It was so good. Super light! My friends both ordered desserts too. They really enjoyed theirs. I will come back for the breakfast/brunch food though. Great place to eat and chat with friends!

Really comfortable space. Taken from bar while picking up take out. Very clean.

Ordered Take out for 4. I've dined in and taken out here before, picture for reference, comfortable place and clean and tidy. Surge Burger for me, so I'll review that specificity since that's what I ate. Dolmas Pita, Lemon Rice Soup, Souvlaki Salad and Tuna Melt along with Falafel App for the rest of the family. Food was (and always is) freshly made, with quality ingredients - everyone was pleased and all meals were flavorful. The Surge Burger, stuffed with Chipotle peppers, fried peppers and onions and Cheddar Melted just right- and cooked exactly medium as I asked was excellent. Season fries to go along were the perfect touch. So when I arrived home, one of our dishes was not included in the bag. Here's where the story gets great. My expectation was that I would call and they would apologize and tell me we'll have it ready for you in a few minutes to pick up, (we live close) or we can refund you. I mean, that's the most I expect, and what every other restaurant seems to offer - happens often since Covid and we are understanding. Not this time. The owner answered the phone, addressed me by name, he took personal accountability and apologized profusely. He made the missing entree in minutes, drove it to my house on a 25 degree night, added a little extra bonus, and apologized in person. There was a time that this was "normal" and just the right way to do business. I never thought I would experience that level of care again. He was genuinely upset, it was the most sincere apology I've received over something that was not that big a deal. Surge (Sergio I believe) has won us over. Not only is the food excellent, he genuinely cares about the experience he delivers to customers at a level that most restaurants abandoned long ago. He went far out of his way. I didn't expect my best dining experience this year to be local take out, but the situation start to finish was exceptional, and so is the gentleman that owns this establishment. As I have said, we've been here before, but like to have. "Go to" place that we order from more than others. Surge became that place last night.

It was nice and big in there. I like the way that there was room to move. It's not real small like most bars I end up going to. The bartender was OK, it was very, very crowded, so they were low on seats. Like I said, I wasn't there very long. I didn't spend a lot of time there so I don't really know much about the place. I didn't even so much just use the restroom there so I don't know about those. I don't know if they have food or not. I just like the fact that it's spacious.

We ordered the NYC chopped cheese and the Caesar sandwich, and both were packed with great flavor. The rolls were awesome, and the French fries and onion rings were the perfect finishing touch. The staff was very friendly and always nearby (which came in handy when we needed extra napkins, lol). The dining room is on the smaller side, so I can see there being a bit of a wait during the dinner rush. Parking is street parking on a busy strip, but trust me--it's all well worth it.

We had been to their location in Sanborn years ago and loved it. Ordered a Gustavo ,Ybor,Mexican Street corn Mac & cheese and two Alfajores. Everything was great and of the two sandwiches. The other reviews here pretty much say it all, so my main reason for adding anything is to comment on their use of metal trays instead of plates, a growing custom it seems, and fine by me. But.... We said, when asked, that we were dining in. The 420 Fries came boxed on the parchment lined tray. I'd suggest when the customer is eating in that they save the box and assemble meals that come in a box for take-out directly onto the tray. It would make for a much more attractive dining experience. The fries: small potato wedges. The 420: if poutine and nachos got married and had a baby, they'd name it 420. They were very good. A health-conscious note: menu suggestion for those watching carbs says anything that comes on bread can be served on saffron rice or on power grains, or on a large flour tortilla, or on salad greens. And for the vegetarian folks, garlic-roasted mushrooms can be substituted for meat on any sandwich. Check out their menu at tortugasandwich.com I'll be back. Next up for me-- the Vicuna on salad greens.

It's a decent sized market with all the usual staples. What really sets it apart for me is the upstairs space. I've hosted a couple of events here, and there's always been plenty of room and seating. When I go with friends, some order from the cafe, some grab baked goods, others just pick up a quick salad or something simple. It makes it easy for everyone to join in at whatever price point they can. Parking is usually good, though I've run into a couple times when the lot was full. Still, I'm glad they have a parking lot. Living in Buffalo several years now, I've never been out to Hertel Ave to grab food and drinks -…read moreSurprising, I know! Thanks to a Yelp Elite event on Hertel Ave., I FINALLY changed that with a fantastic late dinner at The Burning Buffalo Bar & Grill. One of the main reasons I don't like to go out in Buffalo is parking - I'm always anxious about finding a spot that's close to where I'm going, as well as not having to pay for it. It was 7:45pm on a Tuesday, so street parking was free so one obstacle down, and amazingly, I managed to park right in front of The Burning Buffalo Bar & Grill, but across the street - I'll take it! Upon walking inside, there were a few tables outside full of people having dinner and drinks with one waitress managing all of it. I walked in and was surprised how big, spacious it was. First order of business though was hitting the restroom, which was on the small side, but clean. After that, I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was a young, pretty woman who was very personable. Unsure of what to grab for a drink, she asked what beers I usually go for and with that, she was fired off a few beers on draught I might like. I settled on the Jack's Abby Post Shift Pilsner and enjoyed sipping on that the rest of the night. She handed me the food menu and took care of a few other customers while I figured out what I wanted. I got it down to two items and I asked her for her recommendation, which was excellent and how I'd order, if and when I make it back. But similar to what other reviews on Yelp say, the atmosphere was very much like a neighborhood bar and grill, where everyone knows each other and if they don't know you, they're still more than willing to let you hop in and out of the conversation. I felt very comfortable sitting and listening to the "regulars" chat, watching a baseball game on the TVs behind the bar. So for dinner, I decided on ordering their Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich which is topped with lettuce, tomato, sriracha mayo, and cheddar cheese, with pickles underneath between a soft, brioche bun with a side of hand cut fries and a pickle spear on the side. The bartender recommended swapping out the cheddar cheese with pepperjack cheese, an awesome swap! The size of the fried chicken breast was HUGE by itself! I was so impressed how the well the sandwich held together as I devoured it. The chicken was hot, not greasy at all. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh and looked crisp, there was plenty of that pepperjack cheese on top the chicken and pickles underneath. The sriracha mayo was excellent, albeit I would've liked more of it, I think more would've made the sandwich messy and hard to handle, so it really was the right amount on there. The hand cut fries were great as well; Crispier on the ends and softer in the center but plenty hot and not over seasoned. If you've seen other reviews of mine, you'll get the sense I have a pretty big appetite so I was able to demolish the sandwich but I couldn't finish all my fries, so that should be enough to tell you the portions here are HUGE and AWESOME! At first glance, the prices look expensive but I think they're justified as the quality and portions are phenomenal, I certainly felt I got my money's worth. I'm so happy that after several years of living in Buffalo, I made it over to Hertel Ave. finally! I'm also glad I chose The Burning Buffalo Bar and Grill for dinner. The quality and quantity of food, the friendly neighborhood atmosphere, the personable staff, what more can you ask for? I can't wait to come back and grab another Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich or maybe give their North Buffalo Cheesesteak a try!
