My son and I stopped in for breakfast. Our waitress Emma was super friendly, and she always had a smile on her face. My son ordered the French toast combo, and I ordered the pancake combo. The combos are served with eggs, homefries, and your choice of bacon or sausage. The food was so delicious that I ate all of it. I even surprised myself with how much I ate. It's too good to waste. The inside is large with a few different sections. It was a great first-time experience. We will definitely be back. The only downfall would be their parking lot. I was there for my free birthday month pancakes - I was able to choose from several different kinds and I chose Cannoli filling pancakes which were topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips. OMG they were so good! I ordered an over-easy egg and turkey sausage which was very tasty. Now, the real surprise was their selection of gluten-free food! My husband who is gluten-free was thrilled to have a choice of several options and he chose a gluten-free Belgian Waffle. He said it was cooked perfectly w a slightly crispy outside and soft inside. We ordered out twice and both times the food was AMAZINGLY good. It was delivered hot, well packed and in a tamper proof bag. It was made very well with fresh ingredients. I am actually surprised how much the food has improved. If you wouldn't have told me where we were ordering from I would have thought it was from a restaurant. Their menu has improved and who ever they hired to cook the food is a real chef. They have new menu items that are worthy of a try. My wife and I and our Grandson visited this location on Friday. We all had Pancakes - 2 of us had the gluten free and 1 had regular.we all had ham added. A couple of drinks. But no alcohol. When the bill came I was shocked. 61 dollars for pancakes. The food was decent but not outstanding. Add 20 % tip and a pancake lunch was 72 dollars. The server was terrific. I'm usually not one for updating reviews, but I couldn't let this slide. A friend asked me to go here, so we headed down Maple Road, chuckling about how a pancake place was on a street named after a syrup. It's 2020, and Covid is rampant, so you put your name in and a phone number and the hostess will contact you when a table is available, as they shut down half their seats to promote social distancing. My phone went off in a few minutes and we came back inside to get seated at a booth. The menus have been replaced by QR codes on the table. My friend has an older phone and couldn't get it to scan, so I scanned for her, having already checked their (patience testing) website. She ordered her usual, and I went for the egg white omelette with mushroom and avocado, having learned my lesson last trip not to bother with the cheese. Now, I want y'all to look at this picture. Because honestly, it looked like a cat tore into my plate before I did, and that they tried to hide it with some avocado slices. The salt and pepper shakers are off the table, because Covid, and the waitress was too scarce to bother flagging down to ask if she could season my food, so I ate it. It came with a triple stack of pancakes, with a tiny pat of butter on top. My friend agreed to swap her bottom cake with my top (I'm not a butter person) and they gave her two containers of maple syrup. The regular kind, with none of the special ones in sight. Which again, Covid, but when you're paying more to not get the ingredients and make it at home for a fraction of the price, but twice the flavor, you hope for a little butter pecan. The restaurant was really packed since it was lunchtime so it was understandable. We only had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and apologetic for minor issues. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast food so I ordered the Cowboy bbq burger and fries. The burger was served with a fountain drink or tea and endless fries for free. There were onion rings, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and bbq sauce on the burger. The bun was soft and the burger was good. The fries were not that great so I did not take up the endless fries offer. It took quite long to get our meal, but the server was really nice to acknowledge that and compensate without even asking for any. We had omelette with cheddar cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes, and the burger sliders. The sliders were good, but the omelette looked smaller (or the plate was larger) ;-) read more

Denny's food seems like better quality, comes out hotter, tastes more homemade (I realize it's not), compared to this IHOP's oftentimes lukewarm eggs and assembly-line flavors. Denny's prices are better, too. ** In comparison to other IHOP's, I'm hooked on Canadian IHOP. WOW, what a difference in quality! I ADORE the seasonal Grinch pancakes at the Canadian IHOP we like just over the border on Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls. Those are so fluffy, with a sweet glaze, fresh whip, and a sprinkle of Red Hots. When I tried the same pancakes at this IHOP, they were smaller and chewier, artificial tasting, the whip melted all over into a food-dye-green mess, and no Red-Hots-attention-to-detail here. ** Some things seem stingy at this IHOP, like my side salad was all of six lettuce leafs, a few croutons, and one sad tomato. The prices aren't great, so for what you pay, I'd expect better quality control on something simple like a side salad. ** One BIG positive though--the Kids Eat Free promo was great. It was every night after 4pm, which is really convenient and who doesn't love saving money. IHOP isn't our kiddos fave, but free is free, so we force it upon them from time to time. I been to this ihop so many times and this last time I was unsatisfied. The waitress that was serving us was rude, rushed us, and paid no attention. When my friends and I first sat down, we haven't even had the chance to look at the menu yet and the waitress comes over and was ready to take our order. We told her we needed a min to look at the menu and she just walks away. When we were ready to order, she rushed us. Before one person could finish what she was ordering, the waitress just went on to the next person. My friends and I exchanged looks. She came back with our food and didn't even bother to hand each us our food and just sat them all down at the table and we had to hand each other our own food. We asked for ketchup for our hash browns and she just sat it down as a walkby. And before we were half way done with our food, she comes back and gave us our check... It food itself this time was okay. Not the greatest this time. My friend's breakfast crepe came kind of burnt and my eggs weren't over easy. Very disappointing.
