We waited a good 5 10 min before she stopped to take our order ...didn't ask us if we wanted a drink at first like most places. Not very friendly to certain customers but very enthusiastic about the super bowl conversation she was having. Only I'm giving this 2 stars is because the food cane out super fast! 000 read more

Denny's - Diners Near Me - Carson, California

The customer service here is terrible. I walked up to the desk to pick up my to go order and the man who looked like manager just stares at me and says "Yes, what do you need?" as if I was bugging him. LOL WHO TRAINED THESE PEOPLE? The service is always bad here. read more

This used to be my family's FAVORITE Denny's. We just walked out of this Denny's due to service and cleanliness. My husband told me while I was in the restroom the man that showed him to our seat simply pointed to an empty table and told him he'd get us menus in a minute. While I made my way back to my family I noticed this Denny's is no where near as clean as it used to be. It's been about 2 years since I've been to this Denny's. While looking through our menus to figure out what we wanted the servers and cooks were talking so loud we could hear there whole conversation. All i could think was if they cleaned as much as they talked maybe people would enjoy this place. The waiter brings us our drinks, I asked for a hot chocolate the waiter brought me a strawberry lemonade. That was my end. My husband and I were trying to give them a chance but once he messed up on our simple drink order, we decided to leave and to make a conscious decision to NEVER visit this Denny's again. This Denny's doesn't even deserve the one star I have it. read more

Stay away from this place.....I walked in there with my hungry children this morning just to be left there sitting, waiting for service that was never delivered.... We were greeted by an African -American lady "hostess" (didn't het her name) who told us to go in a sit anywhere we wanted - another party was just entering the dinning area and I told her we were separate- so we choose our boot and sit at first a thought she was coming behind us with the menus since she sent a special-needs kid with menus for party in front of us. So there we are waiting for service and no one would even say hi to or cared to ask if we were ok or needed anything. After about 15 mins a bus-boy asked if we needed menus and told him yes....he went away and never came back after a total wait of over 20 mins we decided to get up an leave.....never coming back again to such place that lacks customer service!!! Pathetic read more

I went to this Denny's with a group of friends just to talk to them, they placed us 15 ft away from a lounge playing music louder than you would hear at a nightclub. I started singing songs very out of tune along with the beat to piss them off because I'm pissed off and they just turned the volume up on their trashy pop/rap music. I'll be lucky if I can even hear after this experience the music is so loud, how do people enjoy that? I'm not even in the lounge, god only knows how well those people can hear. Service otherwise was decent, I'm just angry they placed us next to a loud-ass lounge. Especially considering their friggin website advertises this places as "a place for everyone, large groups, etc." Such bullsh*t. read more

I just love Denny's Carson, it Was the first and original here.... Good is still great and menu was updated. But the Building and site needs to be upgraded... It is old. When you enter the door you can smell it's age... Smells mouldy and mildest. The rest rooms need to be redone and repaired. The furniture have to be replaced. I hope the management does something or you will loose out to Norma and Spires and IHOP!!! read more

This is one of the worst denny's i have been to. I understand when things get busy the services get push behind. My sister and I went in one morning and we were told there was going to be a wait which I understand. We did not hear from our server for about 20 mins, we did not get our drinks for another $10 mins, we place or orders and still did not get in on time. We notice a group of 2 guys arriving 45 mins after us. As my sister and i were waiting for our food, we notice the server serve those 2 guys their food, and matter of fact it was the same kind of order we had place. She started talking with them and they must have been familiar with each other. Both my sister and i stood up requested to pay for the drinks and leave. I will never ever come back again to this place. read more

While i waited for my order i looked around and i cannot believe how ghetto this place is. Never coming back here. read more

Had lunch here. Floor was filthy and the service was slow. The upside was the cranberry chicken salad was very good.

I wish I could give zero stars. So I just left this place. I arrived at 10:35 am and got seated to the right side of the restaurant and the waitress that's over that section, mentioned she'd be with us in a few... Well she never came. She was having a full blown conversation with a woman. It's now 11:06am. We're walking out now as I type. She is standing by the door just taking away and didn't notice we were leaving. We're heading to Carson IHOP off Avalon there service is always phenomenal!! read more

I always come here , very nice dining in but this particular Saturday I ordered online to take out. When I walked in it was busy but not at the register it was maybe one or two families waiting for seats. They seated them it was three girls at the register I told them I ordered online after I noticed bags of food sitting on the counter I assumed it was mines . they looked over me and continued taking payments from the other customers leaving. I patiently waited about 6 to 10mins until I was finally handed my food. I will never order online again until they get a system. But I will still come and dine in. read more

I've never had such a bad experience at any restaurant. My friends and I got there and it took 45minutes for us to order. I can understand if it was busy, but there was literally only 6 people in the restaurant including my friends and I. When we finally flagged down the waiter, we ordered our food. i ordered the chicken strips plate and when I got my food, they gave me a plate with chicken strips and celery. I asked if the chicken strips came with the fries and he said that I had to pay for them on the side, so I just went with it and ordered the fries on the sides. The fries took 20 minutes to get to my table and when they arrived, the fries were ridiculously hard. I informed them about this and they were lenient about it and offered to take it off my bill.... however, when we were finished, it took another 30 minutes just to get our bill so that we can pay and leave. It wasn't until my friend got up to go to the cash register to ask for the receipt. Many of the times people would get up and leave because the servers would take too long to get there orders. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I been to this Denny's before and had no bad experience. But today was horrible. My fiancé and I walked in and then the lady did not seem interested at all on seating us, she had no smile what's so ever. Sat us down and gave us a fake smile. After we started looking at the menu and nobody asked us if we wanted anything to drink after 15min on nobody coming over to wait on us a guy came up and asked if we were help, my fiancé said nobody has come to us what's so ever sense we sat down and then he walks away and asks who section where we were sitting and then a waiter comes up and says this section was suppose to be closed off. I think to myself well maybe if you communicate with your host then this wouldn't have happened. So then he asked us if we wanted anything to drink and we said no thanks we are just gonna no to go. This Denny's needs to get better at communicating, Communication is Key in a business. read more

I wish I could give this place only half a star. It was horrible! Me and my two kids (son and daughter) walked in on a Sunday night. We were told "one moment" by the person at the cash register. It took about 10 minutes before we got a table. I suppose I should have been worried when he said "let me get these three ladies a table." I told him two ladies and a gentleman. However once we were seated and got our menus that was it. No one offered us anything to drink while we waited. We had made up our minds early as to what we wanted, and we were sitting for about 20 minutes before the manager even told the waitress to come and take our order. As a matter of fact it seemed like there were only two people working. I heard person who might have been the manager on duty tell the waitress "wait on tables 7, 2 and 1." We were at table 2. She walked right by our table and went to take table 1s order. When the manager repeated to her what he said she told him "you told me go to table 1 and then 2." Me and my kids all heard him clearly say table 2 then 1. She had this disgruntled look on her face as she came to our table, I told her "never mind stay at the table you were at. We're leaving." Worst dining experience ever! Avoid this Denny's. read more

Our server james was awesome. And the food was good. This place is smaller than others but it's cool

So my family and I came in here for a quick lunch, the food was average and the service was horrible!! We arrived around 2pm and had about a 5 minute wait, not to bad. After we were seated it took the waitress about 10 minutes to come over for our drink order but you could tell she was busy. We ordered, and our food came out about 16-20 minutes later but half the order was wrong!! We ordered a cheeseburger and got a chicken sandwhich, we ordered seasoned fries and got plain, and our sampler otherwise known as a greasy but good appetizer came out at the end of the meal. I also had to get up myself and walk to the soda machine to refill our drinks! The waitress offered to correct the mistakes, but who wants to send food back?!?! Maybe the manager should help his staff out more, when we were paying our bill ( there was no discount for the mistakes) he was sitting at the counter area reading over reports.... I don't expect 4 star service from Denny's but this was ridiculous! read more

WORST DENNYS I'VE EVER BEEN TOO! I wish there was a 0 star option! The food took a very long time to get to my table to top it off it was cold! It had been sitting at the top of the pass line for a long time I was seated right in front! Waiters were so rude they obviously hate their job and care less about it. I'm sure the waiter knew his poor job quality so he didint even bother to wait to be tipped he added it in himself in my receipt! Ridiculous I always tip but with that horrible experience I was convinced I shouldn't! For what service was awful! Waiters were rude they kept yelling to one another no manners for people dinning there. When I got to the register I let them know I was NEVER going back that their service is awefull the cashier just rolled her eyes and said ok I'm sorry about that.. I was so pissed I should if just walked out when they had forgotten about my order but I didint.. DON'T GO THERE! read more

You thought this was 5 stars well unfortunately this isn't the case. As we walked in we felt a sense of uncomfortableness. The hostess did not even care to address us so we sat ourselves. The waitress could not even come to our table to take our order, however the cashier Tiffani instead took initiative. As they discussed about why our "waitress" had not approach us yet, she gave false information about asking us if we were ready and we stated "No". Then Mrs. Adriana herself had the audacity to finally grace us with her presence with a crisp smell of bullshit and said, "I was about to take your order but she handled it already". I think anyone in this predicament would feel flustered and unwelcomed. Not to mention the people behind us experienced a similar dissatisfaction with the service as well as they spoke to the manager and I quote, "The country fried steak taste like ass. It was not cooked well. It taste like the food was expired. My bowels are going to regret this tonight. RIP my toilet." All in all poor service (except the cashier Tiffani who was not only doing her job, but the waitress's job as well). read more

My friend and I made the mistake of coming here on a Thursday night after our class for dinner, because it was karaoke night at the lounge next to the dining area. It was extremely loud. We asked to be moved but had no luck, so we settled. Our waiter came, didn't even get his name, he literally leaned over onto the table to take our order that we had to lean away to have comfortable space. After ordering, my friend had pancakes and they came without syrup. Why??? We then tried to flag down our waiter, no luck. A waitress, no luck. Finally a waitress GLANCED our way and we asked for my friend's syrup. The service was horrible. I hope it's not always like this. read more

My parents went on Sunday Nov. 13 2016 around 11:30am. The server that they got was extremely HORRIBLE. Horrible service, horrible attitude. He was a Young hispanic male. He seated them 1st then 2 other families after. well when it came the time to order the food, he skipped my parents and went to the family who had gotten their after my parents. when he got to my parents table. he didnt even out utensils on their table. they order a bowl of soup each one and the server only gave 1 spoon. He didnt even bother to take them the drinks they had ordered. (Coffee , water and a glass of Soda) . it wasnt until my mom asked him til after they were done with the soup , if he could bring the drinks. with a furious face he turned around and went to get the drinks. when he took them to their table , he put them at the edge of the table. this happened with the utensils as well. he didnt even say a word to them, not even a "Sorry" . at the end of the service , he brought the receipt AND ALSO put it at the edge of the table on my MOM's side. why would he do that? its very unprofessional to do that, the receipt always goes on the Males side of the table. my mom wasn't even going to Tip him, but my dad insisted they should. Sadly my mom wasnt able to get his name. and she couldnt talk to the Manager because she doesnt speak English. but if she were to go back, she would recognize him in a Heart beat. unfortunately, they both said they won't be going back. she felt discriminated even though the server was hispanic and my parents are Hispanics as well. he showed favoritism in attending the other families than them. those waiters definitely need Lessons to learn some manners. read more
