Don't order 'beyond burger' I told them I wanted plant-based burger, they gave me a normal burger. It was a to-go order, so I realized it at work. Although the front staff was so nice, helpful, there wasn't any mark that my order was meatless. I don't know if they should improve the communication with the kitchen or whoever prepares the order should be sure it's the correct order. It's really shame this ruined my Sunday lunch. This is Denny's, so you pretty much know what to expect. It was actually a very good omelette and the hash browns tasted fresh (don't know if they were, but they tasted fresh & that was all I needed.) They had fresh sourdough toast that was not drowning in butter or margarine. The staff was quite nice & very attentive. I didn't have to ask for more coffee or extra napkins because they anticipated my needs. I asked for milk instead of half & half or creamer & got it without any side eye or sighing, which is actually a bit unusual when you go to some places. Lots of easy parking. Will be back. read more

Came here last Sunday morning with my brother and he was worried it would be too crowded, but we were seated right away. We stuck with ordering from their $4-$6$8 menu deals to save some money. I ended up getting the Biscuits and Gravy deal. The servers were nice and we really didn't have to wait too long for food to come out. The meal was actually pretty good considering how much it was. OK, you already know what you're going to get when you go to Denny's. This location is convenient, not crowded and comes with good service. We went here at around 12:30p.m. and there was plenty seating available. That is a plus during the lunch time workweek rush. Now, the question is always what you should order at Denny's. I say, stick with breakfast. I ordered the ultimate omelette with 2 pancakes (instead of toast), and I was plenty full after that meal. I recommend you getting some salsa and pico de gallo with your omelette. That meal was filling and priced just right. Unfortunately for my dining partners, they did not follow the "always get breakfast at Denny's" rule. They tried burgers and sandwiches. They seemed okay, but they were not impressed with their selection. So, I left with a smile on my face, and they left with frowns. So, remember this rule with Denny's... always order from the breakfast menu, and you'll do just fine (I have ordered their Cobb salad before and that was okay as well). I am a single diner and I just discovered this location. I found the service to be very good, and no waiting even during dinnertime , and the staff very professional. CAUTION , this location is one of the few if not only Denny's NOT open 24 hours. My iPhone Maps app which claims to pull from Yelp says 600- 000 which i now know means midnight. The actual Yelp info page says Closed Now in red- much clearer Luckily i called before driving . Theres no answering machine to give you the hours either. I hope giving a 2 star rating motivates the franchise operator to install an answering machine that gives hours and pushes the responsible party to change the stated hours to 600 Am to 1159pm. read more

I ordered the omelette with grilled vegetables sorry to say they use fake eggs and the only vegetables in the omelette was three pieces of grilled peppers the rest was sausage and bacon. Awful service overall. There was only 3 tables including us when we were there. Our waitress was not friendly and she seemed bothered by everything. She took our order and when the food came out we noticed that she got the sides all wrong. I pointed it out and she took our whole entire plate when she could've just brought the right side separately. We decided to wait as she looked bothered again and didn't even apologize! We waited patiently while we were sipping on the coldest coffee ever. We didn't even bother to ask her for a new one because she was so unfriendly. We got our meal finally and she was nowhere to be found. She did not check up on us and at this point I see another customer from the other table asking for a refill of her coffee by walking up to the counter. I saw that and did the same. My waitress was nowhere to be found and this was another waitress who gave us our refill from the counter. She asked me if we received our check from the waitress which I said no. The new waitress gave it to me so I asked her where our waitress was and she said she was gone for the day?! She didn't let us know or anything! We ended up paying for our meal and I really didn't want to give her any tip but decided to just because....this was one of the worst experience i had here. We found a roach!!!! I don't know how else to put it. My family and I came in for a late dinner. We were excited about the idea of breakfast for dinner. My lil one was looking forward to pancakes and eggs. I was looking forward to some eggs and toast. The hubby ordered the tres leches pancakes combo. Everything looked great. The food was prepared as requested, at least until we received the ham slice. The ham slice we requested was over cooked and warmed too long. The slice looked OK but it was super dry and tough actually. Service was a bit better than OK but it wasn't excellent. I recognized the waiter had lots of tables in what looked like 2 different areas. He was doing a good job. He was friendly and when we'd asked for lil things like for him to wipe down a high chair, he didn't roll his eyes, scoff or any of what we're used to at other restaurants. We appreciated that. Shortly after we got most of our food. . . that's when we saw it. It crawled across our table and onto the wall of the booth. It scurried up and down the wall and along the window sill that looked into the kitchen. Yup, the kitchen! I couldn't have been more disgusted. I am not one who scares easily but a ROACH?!?! NOOOOOOOO THANK YOU!!! After speaking with a manager he apologized so much and tried to provide some reassurance by telling us that EcoLab visits often and that they'd fumigated or pest treated no more than one month prior to our visit last night. We explained, we understand that these things happen but e had to also explain that the incident made the experience, over all, terrible and definitely left a disgusting taste in our mouths. I have been this place too many times for so many reasons. It's close to home and servers are very friendly. This is my parents' favorite so I always bring them here. I love their 2, 4, 6, 8 deals. One day, we decided to have breakfast at Denny's before heading to Universal Studios. We initially planned of going to their branch in Lankershim but we decided to come here instead due to friendly and fast service. The place wasn't busy when we arrived so we were immediately seated. Since we were in a hurry, we placed our orders right away. I checked in Yelp while waiting and learned that they offer the mini pancake sundae for checking in. For some reasons, our orders took longer than usual so when the meals were finally served, I told the server about the sundae. We started eating our meal and even had multiple refills of coffee but the sundae is nowhere to be found. We asked for the check and paid but the sundae is still missing. Just when we thought of leaving it, it finally arrived in a to go box. I ate it on our way to Universal and man, the mini velvet pancakes were really good. Pre-pandemic, this Denny's was our "go to", cost-effective restaurant and we applauded their remodeling that made it look like an old-fashioned, clean diner. The place WAS clean and well-cared for. It was welcoming. With indoor dining available, we looked forward to returning to Denny's and have been sorely disappointed. The first time we returned, the utensils provided were in a closed paper packet and had caked in/dried eggs. We returned a second time recently, and one of the glasses of water served to us had what looked to be a thick strip of a very green avocado streak. See attached photo. One of our served food plates had messy grease all over. The indoor tables all had what seemed to be white 'burn' marks or many faded white spots. I'm reading these recent reviews and I feel bad leaving a good one. Like I'm supposed to join in and say it was awful. But it wasn't - for what it is, it was good. I hadn't been to a Denny's in years and noticed that the menu was smaller than I remembered. That didn't bother me because (I thought) it would lead to food arriving faster. The wait time was the same, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and presentation of the food. I said "woah" when my turkey dinner arrived, and I could tell our polite waiter concurred that it looked good. It tasted good, too. I should add that the place did seem a bit short staffed, and when I was leaving there was an influx of people and I could see that the wait times were going to be longer for those folks...and they wouldn't have the experience I just received. Horrible! The most drama filled Denny's I've ever been to. The manager was yelling at a waitress to the point of tears and then shortly began yelling at a different woman. I've never experienced such a thing. I felt so awful just sitting there. All the other employees were keeping there heads down and moving along. It makes one wonder of this sort of instance occurs often. This manager, Maggie or Megan something with an M, is very problematic and shouldn't be yelling at people that way. Very sad to see. Although our server Melissa was a great waitress, she was alone on the floor and the service took a long time. I fault management for not having enough people on staff. It took so long to initially talk to us that we both ordered waters because I noticed everyone with coffee had empty mugs. I believe that being short staff also caused our food to be cold. Not a little cold, but cold as in they almost just pulled it out of a refrigerator, especially the vegetables. My breakfast food tasted worse than what you'd get at a hotel where the breakfast food was included. The eggs were bland and tasted like they'd been sitting there for a long time. Although the steak was initially cold, it was good. But that entire meal needed to be reheated and they threw it in a microwave, making the garlic bread inedible and hard as a rock. Overall a really bad experience as far as food goes. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because I've eaten there in the past and had a good burger. I've been here twice in the last couple of weeks because of appointments near here. The first visit, I went mid afternoon so it was pretty quiet when I arrived. I had the Belgian waffle combo which had bacon, eggs, and the waffle. I did order the eggs scrambled since most places do not know how to cook over medium eggs. The only thing for me was I wish the waffle was a little more crispy on the outside but it was good. The second visit, I think they were having a promotion because there was a wheel to spin and win prizes at the front. It was breakfast time so it was pretty busy. I went with the BYO Grand Slam, 2 orders of bacon (4 pieces), 2 eggs, and hash browns. I did order over medium eggs this time and they came out over easy. I did not spin the wheel but they gave me a flyer with coupons but they're not good until June. read more

Management doesn't nothing at all when customers have screaming babies and kids just screaming as well as hearing customers cell phones ringtones very loudly each time they get a text message you will hear their cell phone ringtones over and over and over. None of the employees that works for Denny's located in burbank goes over to the customer with the cell phone ringtones to tell them to put it on mute or leave. The "Noise Level" of the customers is very loud at a talking level that is so loud that you can hear them blocks away from Dennys is very unprofessional management to be allowing this while you're eating. This is the worst Denny's I've ever been to and I've been going to Denny's all over the country and world my whole life. I came in to receive my birthday reward (a birthday slam) but the experience I had with the manager was horrendous. I've been coming to Denny's for my birthday for many many years and I've always had a great experience at every location but this experience made me never want to come back. I placed a togo order to pickup and came in and waited at the counter for a long period of time because no one was there. After waiting for awhile the manager came over without greeting me. (His name was Robert). Robert didn't say "hello" or "hi, how are you doing today"? Nothing like that, just "are you picking up"? I responded by greeting him and letting him know that yes I'm picking up and that I also have a birthday reward to use. Before even bothering to look at my reward he said the reward is for dine in only. I let him know that nowhere on the reward details does it mention that it HAS to be dine in only. (Outdoor dining had just reopened THAT day at this location but I assume since many places in the country were not open for so long Denny's didn't make it mandatory). Anyway, the manager Robert did not seem to care and repeated that it was for dine in only despite not bothering to look at the fine print AND they were about to close in about 15 minutes anyway. He then tried scanning the reward but for some reason he couldn't get it to work. He responded and said "it won't work the system isn't letting me honor it". So I stood there and asked "well what am I supposed to do? How do we fix this?" I didn't understand what the issue was. My reward had not been used and it definitely was not expired so what do I do? He didn't have an answer for me whatsoever, which made me feel like he just did not want to honor the reward for whatever reason and ALSO never once bothered wishing me a happy birthday. So I said "ok so that's it? I just have to leave empty handed and hungry?Even though it's my birthday and I've been coming to Denny's for my birthday most of my life? There's nothing you can do?" And he said "nope". Wow. Robert definitely needs to work on his customer service and become more knowledgeable when it comes to his company's rewards. Robert was rude, had zero knowledge about promotions/rewards, and was overall one of the worst managers I've ever come across. Instead of making me feel special on my birthday he treated me like I was a nuisance. A few days later I deceived to try again and went to the Denny's at 11377 burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, Ca 91601. I did the same thing...placed a togo order for my Birthday reward and went to pick it up. When I went inside the staff was incredibly friendly. Numerous people asked if I had been helped or needed anything, and everyone greeted me kindly! I was immediately impressed. The manager Martin helped me out. He honored my birthday reward with complete ease. No issues whatsoever AND he didn't say it HAD to be "dine in only". Would you look at that? Apparently it's NOT A REQUIREMENT. Interesting. Yulianna also helped me out and was very kind. This location was super busy....so busy there was a line of people waiting outside to be sat and every table was full. I'm not surprised though because the customer service at this location was no where near the awful customer service I experienced at the last location. I left HAPPY with my birthday reward and it was a FAST and EASY experience (despite them being super busy). This experience should've happened the first time with the other location but obviously it didn't. So just heads up...I would avoid the location on Alameda Blvd in Burbank, Ca because your experience won't be nearly as great as it will be at the North Hollywood location on burbank Blvd. What a difference it makes when people truly care, take pride in their job, and want to help the customer have a wonderful experience.
