Even if you're crazy for salt, you won't relish the hugely over-salted food here. I like salt a lot--I even salt my store-bought ice cream--but the amount of salt at this Denny's is beyond even my tolerance. Today I ordered the grilled tilapia, and from past experience asked the server if I could have it not over-salted. She kindly suggested that she could ask the cook to omit all salt, and I agreed. The tilapia arrived just fine--but the accompanying hash browns were salty beyond belief, and barely edible. The restaurant also has a problem regulating the room temperature. This time of year it's always too cold. If not for these two issues I'd award a higher rating. I like the Bourbon Chicken Skillet, which is consistently appealing (not over-salted), and for about $10 provides enough delicious veggies and chicken (2 substantial breasts) for lunch and dinner together.There are other skillets too, and you're probably safe ordering any of them. read more

I have been eating lunch at this location once a week for more than 10 years. The service has always been good. The servers greet you like a friend. It's the current manager that has made me leave. He is in the wrong job. He doesn't understand customer service. When I told him our server was very slow today and she could have used more help, he just stared at me and said nothing. This Denny's is the best one I've been to but I've only been to two others. My friends and I are wannabe hobbits and just had to go to Denny's to explore the hobbit menu. The service is attentive, the food is your standard diner/denny's fare, and it is clean and served with clean cutlery. We ended up spending over 3 hours trying to map out our quest to helms deep and the wait staff did not mind, so that was really nice. I would definitely go again. There's always parking, the menu offers a lot of options, and the prices - although not as affordable as they use to be - are still fairy reasonable. Currently, I like the skillets. When I got there, there was no one at the front desk so I went to the Take-Out section and waited for another few minutes before I was greeted and then a couple of more minutes before my order was taken. Our waitress Tanya, who also greeted us at the front and took us to our table, was very attentive to our satisfaction. She has great customer service, she is even sweeter to regulars. Everyone called her by name just to conversate. Although she would always make sure we had enough coffee and the food was appealing; I gave this location a 4 star due to the fact that it was unsanitary. The table had a nasty smell. I think the rag they had used to clean was filthy. The coffee mug had months of coffee steins. Either than than food was good. But, if they want to maintain clientèle they will have do of their part to keep the place sanitized. Also, I noticed this location doesn't offer WI-FI. A lot of parking. Food is Great! Have stopped in a couple times, and also gotten seasoned fries (the best ever!!) to go a few times. Service was good and basically everything else is what you would expect from a Denny's. That is except for one huge complaint...it isn't open 24 hours! I didn't know any Denny's weren't open 24 hours a day considering that their slogan is "America's Diner is Always Open". I guess not. Their website doesn't even have hours on it because I thought that was the point. Needless to say I was disappointed to find out they were closed when we were looking for a late night place for dinner. I guess it's sort of dumb to get upset at bad service at a Denny's because you shouldn't expect anything else. Denny's are pretty hit and miss. But I went to this one to get breakfast for my office last friday, specifically because this one had the highest star rating on Yelp of the 4 near my home and work. It took me a full half hour, and that's clocked, not hyperbole, to get 3 of the weekday slams to go (pancakes, eggs, and bacon) when the place wasn't close to being slammed. Highlights include being told I had to stand somewhere else to place my order only to have the same person take my order four minutes later in the new spot. I had to flag her down to take my order and when I did she said "I'm waiting on you, you're not ready." Oh, maybe you should've let me decide that, since I knew what I wanted before I even came in. The reason I had to wait so long after that is because apparently every server that morning had messed up entering their orders, so I had to wait while the cooks made or re-made food on the fly for other tables before they made mine. Then had to watch my food for the office get cold on the line when my server was chatting with her friend. Then she realized she forgot to give me my check that I could have paid the whole time I was waiting, so after she packaged the coffees and teas I bought, I then had to wait at the register (where I'd initially tried to place my order when I came in) while another irate customer was complaining about his bill to the manager. So even though I'd arrived at Denny's a full half hour before I needed to be at work, I was late getting to work and carrying cold pancakes and rubbery eggs. Also since she'd packaged my pancakes to go but still put the butter right on the cakes instead of in side cups, the butter was all melted and had run off the plate before I got to work. Needless to say I'll be going back to buying burritos from Apollo's or swinging by Porto's when it's my turn to buy my coworkers breakfast. read more

The last time I was at Denny's dining in was 3 months ago. Since they were open, I wanted to help support them and the employees. The protocols we have to follow these days is an inconvenience and it certainly hinders the dining experience. You must wear masks going in the restaurant and as you leave. Most of the tables are removed and only half of the booths are usable (all State mandated). Servers wear masks but patrons can remove theirs once seated. There are sneeze guards at the register and the cashier must wear a plastic face shield. While I understand they are required to this in order to reopen, it does hinder the pleasantness of dining. The food and service was amazing and for that I give 5 Stars. Just be forewarned of what is expected of you as a diner and that of the establishment. They are trying to survive! read more

We ordered food to be delivered from Denny's. When we unpacked the order, we realized immediately that my pancakes were missing from my breakfast. Denny's has two level packaging for pancakes and egg orders that is clear on the top half, where they put the pancakes. When you lift the top off, the bacon and eggs are below. I can imagine an order missing the bacon or eggs, because they are hidden in the bottom layer. But the top half is clear, so it's hard to believe that Denny's would let a meal leave with nothing in the top half. You could easily see that there were no pancakes. To make matters worse, my daughter had ordered a sandwich which seemed to be in fine shape, but she realized that something was wrong. She pulled a piece of a brown paper wrapper out of her mouth. When we opened the sandwich, we found the rest of the brown paper wrapper within the meat layers of her sandwich. It must be the way that Denny's portions or packages their meat, but they left it in sandwich and my daughter accidentally ate some of the paper! When we called to complain, they apologized and asked if we wanted a refund or replacement? We were still hungry, so we wanted a replacement order. The Denny's manager then told me that I would have to go through Grubhub to reorder. I called Grubhub, explained the situation and reordered. A short while later, I received two texts telling me that my order couldn't be delivered, but that I would get a refund for two of the three items on my original order. Still waiting for the refund. Really poor quality control on this order and Grubhub process is a mess! read more

The simple fact that you can't replace a coffee instead of orange juice in the menu because you can't drink orange juice and are forced to buy it with the plate you ordered because it comes with juice is ridiculous when other Denny's have no problem substituting where I believe coffee is cheaper and a bargain for the owner. It's seems this Burbank location is privately franchised and out of touch with the rest of the Denny's.
