Today is the day before Mother's Day. I wanted to enjoy breakfast with my family for the occasion. We were debating between iHop or Denny's, but decided on this location. We've been here before multiple times, nothing special. Today turned from the worst experience to the best experience. A server, I didn't check his name, he was a tall man with black curly hair, came up to our table. He didn't have a notepad so I was assuming he was just going to ask us if we were ready, but he asked what drinks we wanted. He came really close to me face-to-face to the point I moved back because I felt uncomfortable. Once I said water, my sister said, "Can I get a coke please." The man said, "Sure, if you can smile." I'm not sure if that was a "bit" of his, but his behavior had already made me uncomfortable, so I didn't like it. My sister stayed serious, and he turned to me for validation asking "Is she having a day?" I shook my head no because she was smiling earlier until he got too close and made that comment. Once he brought everyone's drinks, I think he tried redeeming his "bit" and said, "You know, that's what they say, 'a coke and a smile,' right?" To this, my sister said, "I think you're pushing it." He got defensive and kept trying to validate his comment. In the end, we got a different server, Megan F. The "F" must be for fabulous because she's amazing. She was super sweet. She recommended good things in the menu, warned me of the hot plate, and said, "Happy Mother's Day" to my mom on the way out. She constantly checked on us and one of those times I told her we were doing great but then as she walked away I asked for a straw and I felt bad but she was super nice about it! #I love Megan and #The other dude made me super uncomfortable. Apart from that, the food I got was super good #recommend!!

Love this spot. This corner of the world is always open, always well lit, and welcoming. Staff is hardworking and attentive. Sometimes the AC is on too chilly, but besides that this places always hits and never misses. Still affordable.

Service was great, amazing food and drinks. Waitress very nice and made sure everything go well.

We were seated almost immediately upon arrival. If you have some time to kill, there is a claw machine located near the host stand if you're willing to try your luck. We ordered the Brisk-It-All melt, Philly cheesesteak omelette, pancakes and fries. Brisk-It-All melt: slow-smoked brisket burnt ends, crispy diced bacon, two eggs, aged white cheddar, Diner Q sauce and pickles on grilled artisan bread Philly cheesesteak omelette: three-egg omelette with grilled prime rib, fire-roasted bell peppers & onions, sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese This location is conveniently located next to Motel 6 Midtown, so although Denny's wasn't my first choice, I have to say that I enjoyed the food. Our waiter (I believe his name was Jordan?) was very attentive and it was the best service we received at a sit-down restaurant in Texas so far. The other staff members we encountered were also great!

They have ordering via the QR code and was a bit sad when the espresso martini wasn't available to order. Soooo got the pumpkin pecan latte and a slice of banana bread. After the order was placed a gentleman stopped by to ask how things were to which I inquired about the espresso martini. They were able to make it and they weren't sure why the QR code showed it as unavailable. Latte was delicious and just the right temp, banana bread may have been better to order during the day as it was a tad dry on the outside but good inside. Not sure if they have the option to warm up as well which would have made it amazing. Espresso martini was also solid. Not too sweet, could taste the coffee and the foam was light and airy. I'd go back to have other things especially their pastries. Parking was a bit tough due to the shared parking lot and limited spaces right near the restaurant.

Not soggy like some burgers get when you're eating on the go. The beef? Oh my God -- seasoned and cooked just right. Juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh and crisp, and the bun held everything together without turning into a mushy mess. And those fries? Seasoned to perfection and still crispy when I got back to work. If you're in the area and craving a solid, satisfying meal, definitely give Chili's on I-35 (East Side) a try. She had the baby back ribs, a favorite of hers, and said they were wonderful, as was her loaded Mac and cheese. I went for the 5-piece Chicken "Crispers" and was served a huge pile of fresh crispy fried chicken. The fries were also very good and well-seasoned. I'm not a fan of Mac and cheese, so I substituted broccoli and got a generous serving of perfectly steamed florets. The sides were so good that I ended up taking more than half of the chicken home. Some tenders don't hold up too well when they're not fresh and hot, but these were delicious later that day--and even cold the next morning. Service was great and attentive. Payment got confusing. We made partial payment with a gift card, but the bill still seemed high to me. I looked at the receipt later, and it looked like a 25% tip was automatically added. I'm not sure on that--maybe my friend is just a generous tipper. I mention it mostly to note that some restaurants seem to be getting pushier on tipping policies.

Had not been to this restaurant in a good while, and was a last minute decision. Good choice. The whipped feta is always a treat -- light and creamy with a solid feta taste, but not overpowering, served with a few orange slices and thinly sliced almonds, and pita. Special dish! Beet salad excellent, but the Fresno peppers had way too much heat, so pushed them to side. My wife had the Moroccan curry, which had a very spot on Moroccan flavor (been there 3x), and was a large, filling portion so brought home leftovers. I had the grilled pork chop which was large, perfectly grill with a tasty bourbon-based glaze, served with a large roasted garlic clove. Wonderful dish. The bar is appointed well enough, and while the bartenders are a bit sloppy in their mixology and prep (rim salter filled while still wet = clumpy salt; juices everywhere), they were friendly enough and got the orders right. The food was promptly served. I ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer (the only thing I thought would be a small enough quantity and cheap at $5). I also ordered the chimichurri steak tacos. You get three of those in the typical three slot holder, decent portions. The chips were good. The salsa looks like it was heavy on tomatillos instead of tomatoes, but had good flavor and acceptable spice. The tacos. They were flavorful. But the flavors were overpowered by the quantity of SALT. I could hear Gordon Ramsay in my head shouting "This is so salty it would kill a horse!". I LOVE salty savory things, but it pushed my limits - yes I ate them anyway, in part because I was hungry and tired. I think part of the problem was they used a dusting of parmesan to add a touch to the presentation, and it did elevate the tacos, but when you prep a dish like this you have to remember that salt is additive. The steak strips are salted. The chimichurri has salt. Parmesan is one of the saltier cheeses. Accidentally over-salt the steaks and you're quickly in trouble. Oh, the atmosphere? An industrial hipster bar wanna-be in a hotel lobby. OK as far as hotel bars, but not one I'd go out of my way to visit.

Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
