    Classic English Muffin
    Kin K.

I was there waiting for my friend in early morning. I ordered a coffee and the classic English muffin. There are so many coffee shops on Broadway. The coffee here is no different from others. However, the English Muffin is good. It is fresh, much better than the ones in Starbucks or Blenz. The slice of fresh tomato definitely gives you the juicy feeling.

    BLT with creamy onion soup!

This is a great little lunch place. I was in the area and really wanted a good, simple, sandwich - so I opened my yelp app and happened upon déjà brew. I got a half a BLT with the soup of the day (creamy onion) and it was delicious. It was about $9 (lunch special price) and in my opinion, priced well for what I received. The bacon was crispy - an important thing to me - and the veggies were fresh and mixed well. I didn't feel like I got too much of any particular thing (looking at you, most sandwich restaurants in Vancouver... cough cough too much bread). Would definitely come back if I was in the area and craving comfort food.

Special of the day - half shrimp salad sandwich and clam chowder

I've been meaning to check out this place for a while due to the rave reviews, and the opportunity finally arose. One of the best casual lunches I've had in Vancouver! There were enough specials to find something delicious, so I chose a half shrimp salad sandwich and soup combo. The bread was incredibly tasty, and the sandwich half a large, hearty portion with a satisfying filling. There's about 3-4 soups to choose from, I went with a clam chowder. You can tell they use quality ingredients here and everything is freshly made. Very glad I made the effort and skipped the usual Asian fare I often opt for in the area. Will certainly be back!

The soups are good Everyone working there is really nice... Ordered a tuna melt, the tomato was raw with the hard middle part not cut out... a sandwich without tomatoes is better then one with a tomato like the one i got... c'mon deja, i know u guys can do better!

New cafe bistro in the False Creek/Vancouver General Hospital area (first week open)! A nice change from the fast food and sit down restaurants along the street. Super fresh (dough for the flatbreads made in-house every morning), fast (took only a couple minutes because of a speedy flatbread oven) and yummy lunch option. They are a cafe so they open at 7am for you to get your caffeine/breakfast fix on the walk to work. Really nice owners with an attention to detail! Everyone should give them a try! I posted photos of their menu so you can get an idea of what they make. These guys are a breathe of fresh air!

    Goodies on the counter!

This place is the BOMB!!! I can get HOISEN DUCK SLIDERS for lunch?!?!? Hands down the best muffin in town..highly recommended the morning glory!!! When they have it the Thai coconut soup is killer!!! They are super fast and efficient! Friendliest staff too which helps on a crabby Monday morning! Everything on the menu is amazing! Highly recommend this little gem!!

Deja Brew is my new favorite lunch spot. They make the best Tomato Basil soup I have had anywhere. It is addictive and their sandwiches are awesome and hearty. The best.

Staff are super friendly and accomodating. The organic drip coffee is very tasty. The tomato basil soup tastes fresh and home made with some small chunks of tomato in it. The tuna melt is alright- nothing to write home about but even the half portion was packed with tuna. It couldve used more cheese. The bread under the tuna melt was amazing, it wasnt just a slice of bread but it seemed glazed with egg and toasted so it was crispy. Id go again if i happened to be craving the bread or the coffee but wouldnt go out of my way to get the sandwich or soup. 3/5 overall

Tuna melt and an awesome latte

It's my first day today at the new job and due to my excitement and over-planning, I've gotten very little sleep. Hence upon arriving (early) near the old job, I pointed my feet to the closest Starbucks and discovered this gem of a place. Not only was the counter person efficient and friendly - she also knew exactly how to help tired and I decisive me. I ordered a tuna melt (it's 7am) and a 16oz latte and a chocolate cookie for later. I am so impressed I tipped $4. Yay. What the perfect way to start ones day.

    Chicken Diablo sandwich!!! So gooooood

The food, coffee is amazing. A little pricier (my GF sandwhich and a coffee is $15) but other than that it's great food and chai lattes!

I think it was one of those Cherry Blossom Food Festivals that brought this place to my attention…read moreabout a year or two ago. Been wanting to try it for awhile and now I finally have. We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.

Insane Venezuelan Dulce de Leche Lattes…read more Starbucks Caramel Lattes can go take a walk. * * * Chocolate donuts with strawberry icing with massive huge strawberry taste in the icing. The only good frosted donut I have ever eaten with complete wonderment. (Actually, I have not had that many good donuts in over 72 years of donut eating. I am not sure how cops on break tolerate the average American or Canadian donut. But thank god, they eat them so I don't have to.) But I would eat donuts all day and all night at 49th Parallel. What a place!

Brownie points for convenience. My husband ordered a double espresso and in true men's fashion claimed it to be "solid". I ordered the maple sea salt shaken espresso and it was *chefs kiss*. If you are a sweet and salty lover, get it! It won't disappoint you. We also ordered the Doug sandwich and the Avo sandwich. Don't let the looks fool you as the sandwiches' appearances fall kind of short. However, both sandwiches were delicious. Starbucks could never. ‍ The Doug Sandwich - a full bodied sandwich consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and tarragon aioli. I thought this sandwich would be too heavy, but the brioche bun is light and the scrambled eggs are really fluffy. The Avo Sandwich - a lighter sandwich featuring fried egg, avocado, cheddar cheese, sun dried tomato pesto, tarragon aioli and mixed greens. Also a good choice! The cafe was clean and they have a water dispenser available for customers. Service was ok, but I think they were just a bit busy.
