a plate of grilled sandwiches and a bowl of soup

Cute little cafe in North Vancouver that's simple and cozy. The cafe is pretty tucked in a small little complex in the area and most wouldn't notice it unless they are purposely looking for the cafe. They offer a nice variety of drinks, pastries and sandwiches. In my visit I had the turkey cranberry sandwich and lavender latte and was nicely satisfied with both. They have a lovely outdoor seating area as well with a few small tables that is great for the warmer weathers. Cute spot to swing by for a calming space to enjoy a bite when you are in the area.

Cupcakes with beautiful icing.

They now have a monthly open house with live music and special event liquor license. I'm sad they have shortened their hours for the winter, closing at 3:00. lovely people, can't beat their soups.

So charming!

I'll keep it simple... very good food and deserts, friendly staff, nice 'Cafe' atmosphere and decent prices.

I had a lovely time at le petit café! My barista was a cheerful short haired blonde, I recommended her service! Would come again.

“It feels really home-y here, and it seems like it is a super popular spot for the neighbourhood because it feels like the owner knows everyone who comes in!!”

I've been searching for a good Hainan chicken and rice place whenever I travel and I think I found…read moreone of my favorites at Mamalee. The chicken is so tender and juicy with good flavor and even better if you like to dip it in their home made lightly spicy or ginger sauce. It is fully deboned too. This is the star of the show and a must try if you want to know what Hainan chicken should taste like. I was just at Portland and ate at Nong's Khao Man Gai which is a Thai version of Hainan chicken and Mamalee just blows it away. I will definitely be back to support this small business whenever and as often as I can. Wish they open a location in California or Las Vegas but this gives me a reason to visit Vancouver more often. PS: Free 2 hour parking at International Village Mall.

After attending a Yelp Event nearby, we went here for dinner. I've seen the Broadway MamaLee…read morelocation before, but never tried either location until now. We were quickly seated and given our menus. The place looks unremarkable, but it was clean and well kept. We ended up trying two things: - Roti Canai: Good. It was flakier and less oily than most. I like mine to have a bit of a chew, but still enjoyable. Curry sauce had a slight kick to it. - Hainanese Chicken Rice: Good. Exactly what one would expect. Tender, boneless chicken was straightforward and delicious. Reasonable portion size. Service was nice and a little more friendly and attentive than I had expected. Overall, a pleasant meal. Easy, no frills dining that wasn't overly expensive. I'd return for the Hainanese chicken. Note: they charge 2% to use a credit card.
