This place seems to be run by Persian people as they offer a mix of traditional Western style food, along with some Persian options as well. (eg.Persian Omelette) It's got a nice vibe to it. Love the decor. Her Iced Mocha was very nicely done. I found my Avocado Toast a bit on the salty side, and wasn't impressed with the egg that sat upon it. Runny yolk is what I like to see, but the yolk in this egg was very dry. They have a nice selection of cakes in their display case. Echo Cafe is a welcome addition to the North Van community. It has a great modern ambiance with lots of bright colour accent lounge chairs. The food is excellent. This a Persian restaurant and there are commutation issues. The ambiance is serene and quiet. The service is quick.

although the desserts are quite pretty the menu is quite limited and it's a very slow restaurant service and vibe wise as well. Being in the Lonsdale area, you'd imagine more buzz. The space is very large and could really be made into something spectacular. However, it seems as though a couple of things haven't been updated in a while and there's a lack of care in presentation of food and ingredients quality as well. I wouldn't recommend this place as a breakfast spot, maybe for a coffee or tea along with one of the prettier looking desserts. I must mention that they do look outsourced and it may be best to find out where they come from and go there instead. read more

I have ordered their English breakfast twice now. I love breakfast and brunch and have been to almost all places in North Vancouver and was excited to find this place on Uber Eats. Hands down, the best sausages I've ever had at any breakfast place. I love how they make their eggs, and the potatoes and beans are perfect. It's a little on the expensive side, but the quality of the food makes up for it. I can only speak for the English breakfast, though, as that's all I've had so far. I loved coming into Echo when it was owned by the couple who previously ran it but it was sold a while back and my experiences haven't been great. Service is slow and the two times I've been in, I waited for ages while the front staff were chatting with friends. I can't comment on the food as I never got to try - left after waiting for anyone to acknowledge me or take my order but that never happened. This coffee house is huge and very nice. The staff were very friendly. Oddly, we came on a Sunday, and it was completely dead besides one other person that came in after us. It's noticeable because this place is big. I ordered a coconut iced coffee that had little bits of milk floating in it...old oat milk? I'm not sure. It didn't taste like coconut at all. It was meh. I didn't take it back...I just decided to drink it lol. My friend enjoyed her coffee. I thought the ambiance was very nice. Perhaps I would go back and try something else if I was in the area. Like a lot of people these days, I'm a huge fan of Avocado Toast and regularly make it at home, especially since it's so easy and you can make it as simple or as fancy as you want without spending too much money. While in Vancouver BC this past weekend, we treated ourselves to some Avocado Toast, pastries, and coffee. We found ECHO CAFÉ on Yelp in North Vancouver near our Airbnb rental. The sweetest cashier immediately greeted us with an enthusiastic and super welcoming "Happy Sunny Day!" Her cheery personality was so infectious, it immediately put us in a more perky mood. We got a North Shore Avo Toast w/ a side salad, a Classic Avo Toast w/ Mushroom Soup (plus, an extra complimentary soup from the friendly Cashier), Spinach Feta Croissant, Apple Strudel, and Chocolate Croissant. For drinks, we got Vanilla Lattes and a Green Tea Matcha Latte. The food all tasted amazing and our drinks were just good and not the best. The Barista could step up her foam art game as well. We found a comfortable spot and had a nice time enjoying our delicious food. The Cashier and service were both excellent. There's a decent amount of seating and the café has tall ceilings and large windows to help make it light and bright inside. I'd totally come back here! read more

This lovely cafe is in my neighbourhood. My husband and I go there for morning coffee on our day off. The patio is nice and clean. Enjoy a cup of oat milk coffee in the mountainous morning breeze is wonderful way to start a new day. They do serve breakfast along with the drink. There is always a long waiting line even it is only 8 AM, which is a proof that Echo is the favorite spot of a lot of people. read more

A great cafe for relaxing, coffee and food. They had an array of choices for food and were quite helpful with letting you take your time. The chicken pesto panini is a classic there. The BELT was delicious! Comes on an everything bagel. Cold brew was delicious, dirty chai was great! If I was a local, I could see myself coming there quite often. Excellent location for socializing! Right across the street from an open fountain plaza and library. Beautiful tall ceiling, two stories of natural light, fresh decor and comfy and/or practical seating. Whether you come here to work or to hang out, there's a good amount of seating options available. The drinks are delicious. On separate occasions I have had lattes, tea, and London fogs, which were all excellent. If you have the time I highly reccomend ordering 'for here' as their glassware was a highlight of my visits. They served my iced latte in a beautiful glass double walled mug, on a tiny wooden tray. Their tea was served in a cute glass teapot with an infuser inside. They have deserts aplenty, and though I have only tried the cookies I have been eyeing their beautiful cake slices for a special day. Their sandwiches are pretty good, with more consistent results eating in. A little bit pricey, but the panini press makes a huge difference. Lastly for service, ranges from great and kind to quiet and efficient, both which work for me. read more

Came here recently to try out their hightea and they had a really nice selection of sandwiches (included 2 croissant sandwich and a cucumber sandwich and egg sandwich), tomato quiche, blueberry tart, mini scones, shortbread, chocolate dipped strawberries. There were about 10 teas to choose from and is included in the hightea set - the creamy earl grey was very fragrant! The staff were very friendly, they checked up on us often and took the time to explain each item in the hightea set. The hightea set was priced very decent at $25. I walked in at 9 am, in a complete haze...sleepy grumpy and desperately in need of my morning caffeine fix... To be greeted by one of the sweetest servers/ cashier's I've met! She not only patiently waited for me to sort my muddled thoughts and pic a coffee but was very forthcoming with sugar free options....full props for her sympathy for my having to be off it and an adorable " coz you're sweet enough!" Quip! Went with a hazelnut cappuccino and I'm happy to report it was yummy. The place is a comforting mix of rustic and contemporary...feeling modern and airy yet a place where you could claim a corner and settle in for a bit. I saw this reviewed on the front page of Yelp on January 24th and book marked it. Lots of space inside. Great ambiance with relaxing music. Came here to work on my zine and some reports. They made me an amazing London Fog with almond milk and sugar free syrup. They have an interesting assortment of short bread cookies. You can get 6 for under $5 which goes perfectly with tea. Came here with my bf on an early Monday afternoon. Parking was quite difficult because it was located near the Lions Gate Hospital and by the public strip so everywhere was paid parking. If you drive about 5 mins away from the area, you will find 2 hours free parking, and if you are super lucky, you will find free parking about 10 mins away which was what we did. Cafe was spacious and homey. My bf wanted to do their Afternoon Tea Set which was $54 for 2 people which wasn't expensive at all but you would need to make reservations for it. My bf had a white chocolate mocha with 50% less sweetness while I had a regular drip coffee. His white chocolate mocha was okay but I preferred that they added more coffee in it because it tasted like a less sweeter version of a hot chocolate. As for our little treat, we shared a croissant pudding and a banana marble loaf. The slice of croissant pudding that they gave us was huge! It was such a good deal for $5.50. The croissant pudding had mixed berries and chunks of croissant sprinkled on top. The croissant bits were my favorite part because they were so flaky and crunchy but my bf wasn't a huge fan of them. He preferred the interior part because it was soft, gooey and eggy (my least favorite part). I really enjoyed the banana marble loaf because I love banana bread and chocolate, and to my surprise, my bf also really liked it (he doesn't like bananas but the marble part made a huge difference to him). The marble loaf in general was moist and tasty, and had that equal balance of banana and chocolate. Overall, staff were super friendly and food tasted great. One of the servers asked which tea I wanted and gave me a few options. Got my tea in a mason jar which I thought was different as I was expecting a tea cup. When the rest of the guests arrived, we were seated and offered tea (in tea cups with teapots, so I asked for one too). They have a limited selection of teas; I chose the earl grey. They made a mistake with my plate and gave me bacon instead of ham but they happily fixed the mistake and gave us two little belgian chocolate shortbread cookies as a token of their apology. Cute little cafe only 10 minutes away from the Suspension Bridge. The drip coffee was pretty great at a decent price and they had a nice variety of pastries and sandwiches. As well as an extensive hot breakfast/lunch item menu. My sister-in law loved their almond croissant and my cousin and I had a good pesto chicken panini even though they forgot about it. A resounding "meh" can best sum up my experience here. My son had the double chocolate loaf which he barely touched. I tried it as well, and it was incredibly bland. My coffee wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't anything to write home about. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, but the barista was not particularly engaging or interested in making us, the customers, feel welcome. There are plenty of other options close by, and I would rather spend my money elsewhere. read more
