We live within walking distance to Dee's Place that is located off the circle in downtown Sebring. We meet a group of friends for breakfast at least three days of the week. The food is very tasty and always comes out quickly and hot. The omelettes are made with 3 eggs. They are stuffed with more than enough ingredients. Coffee is .99 cents. The pastries displayed in the glass case by the front door are house made. The cinnamon rolls are huge and spread with plenty of icing. The staff is pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant could use a facelift and a few renovations but it is a charming place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We see many familiar faces. Dee, the owner, is very generous. She supports the High School sports teams and employs local students. Every third Sunday of the month, Dee transforms her restaurant to host a dinner with live Christian music. Reservations are highly recommended as the seats fill very quickly. There is not a charge for this event, however; there is a box placed at the front door for your desired donation. I recommend Dee's for a good meal, visit friends, and support local.

First time visiting Dee's Place in Sebring. Lovely small town vibes café! The service was quick and pleasant, even though it was busy on a Saturday morning. I wanted something that felt homemade, so eggs, hash browns, toast, and unlimited coffee were perfect. I'd definitely recommend it if those are the vibes you're looking for.

Dee's Place is simply the best!! 10/10 The southern home cooking is amazing! The staff is top notch and always friendly. The food is delicious and always fresh. The staff makes you feel like family. The restaurant is always clean and has a country feel. Definitely worth stopping by and trying it out for yourself. I've known Dee since I was 5 (I'm now 35) she is amazing and helps out the community. She is a big part of this community. Support local small businesses who help the community like Dee does.

If you want a good spot for breakfast, these folks do a nice job! They are within sight of Sebring Circle. Street parking is usually not bad and failing that, there is a small free lot adjacent to them. Atmosphere- This is a big place for a breakfast & lunch joint. My inside pic shows about half of it. It's bright and very clean and decorated with the usual Florida kitsch. The tables were appropriately Covid spaced. Customer Service- Very efficient! They seem to work as a team. My food was out quickly, and my coffee was topped off frequently. I would have appreciated a few more smiles but generally they got the job done. Food- We're talking a standard American menu with no surprises. You'll recognize everything. I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelet, Hash Browns, and an English Muffin for $6.99. I lot of places charge extra when you substitute an English Muffin but not here. Nice! A bottomless cup of coffee was a buck. Everything I was served was cooked properly. It might not be obvious in my pic, but the omelet was huge! Oddly, when I cut into it, I would call it unbalanced. There was a massive amount of cheese and very little ham. It was tasty as hell but I'm definitely not going to tell my doctor about all that cheese. The hash browns were great, and the muffin was nicely buttered. I was completely stuffed! Would I visit again? You bet!

So far the service has been good, the food is really better than you would expect from a little cafe.

-7 years of patronage! -…read more I was 1st to review these fine folks in 2018 and have since had breakfast here many times. This visit was my 1st time for lunch! Important note- This is NOT the franchise chain with a similar name! This is a different family-run, single location restaurant. Pro Tip- Breakfast & Lunch only. Just check Yelp for dinner options in the area. Arriving- They are on the Northbound side of US Route 27, hidden in the Sebring Square Plaza. They're nestled among a string of plazas and signage is not great. Use your GPS. Hint- Look for the Winn-Dixie or Advanced Auto Parts signage and you're there! As they are in a plaza, parking is almost always a snap. Ambience- Don't get excited. It's standard Florida Kitch. You don't go to an inexpensive restaurant to admire the décor. You expect neat and clean, and you will absolutely get that here. Pro Tip- Wi-Fi can be spotty due to the business location. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's restricted to management only. Not the servers, not the customers, just management! Say goodbye to one half star! Customer Service- 10 Stars! I was seated with a menu and had my drink within a minute. I placed my order within a minute of when I was ready and my food was out in less than 10 minutes. Just perfection! My wonderful server was Bobbi-Lynn. I know this because a card on the table told me so. When she delivered my check, she flipped the card over and there was a message. See my picture. So unique and appreciated! Pro Tip- As with many great places in this area, the Sunday church rush is something you do not want to experience! Here it begins around noon so beware of Sundays! Food- Standard American comfort food at its best. As they are in the city of Sebring, you might see a dish called Sebring this or Sebring that, but that's just a marketing ploy. It's still just good ole comfort food. On this visit my trusted Yelp Friend, Art J., recommended the Patty Melt & Crinkle Cut Fries so I went with that. Great job Art! My Melt was piping hot and cooked just as I requested. The caramelized onions were perfect. The fries were hot and crispy. Just a wonderful lunch for about $13 and change. Conclusion- Over 8 years, these fine folks have almost 700 reviews that average 4.5 stars from Yelp and that other site that some folks use and that's impressive. When I first reviewed them, this wasn't true, but they have matured, and I now agree! If they ever change their misguided Wi-Fi decision, I'd go 5 stars!

The Mother-in-law ordered the Denver omelet, and it was just as tasty. A special shout-out to Nora J. for providing excellent, friendly service. She was attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. What I really like is that this isn't your typical chain restaurant. It has its own charm, serves fresh, flavorful food, and offers a much more personal dining experience. I'll definitely be back for breakfast again! Last but not least, thank you for the veterans discount.

I hate having to revise a positive review, but unfortunately today's visit was a very different…read moreexperience. Over the last two months, I have eaten at Village Inn in Sebring several times. During those visits, the service was excellent, the food was consistently good, and I was impressed enough to leave a very favorable review. Today, however, was a completely different story. The restaurant was not particularly busy, yet my food took an unusually long time to arrive. While waiting, I was seated near the kitchen and could clearly hear employees engaging in loud horseplay and unprofessional behavior, which did not create a very welcoming dining atmosphere. I started with a cup of the pork green chili, which I normally enjoy. It is usually served with crackers, but none were brought out. When I asked for crackers, a cracker container was brought to the table, but the crackers inside were stale and soggy. When I politely mentioned this to my server, the response was simply, "That's how we get them," before walking away. There was no apology or attempt to correct the issue. When my cheeseburger finally arrived, it was severely overcooked and very disappointing. Everyone can have an off day, and that's understandable. What concerns me most is the noticeable difference between the excellent experiences I've had previously and the poor service and food quality I received today. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because I have enjoyed dining here in the past. For now, though, I'll be taking a break before returning.
