Laura Lee was the best great service highly recommend this place she was outstanding!! Definitely coming back

We had a great meal at Deep Lagoon last night. The only negative feedback I'd give is I ordered the 6 oz tenderloin medium and it was medium well or close to well, but it was fine and didn't even mention to our server who was awesome. Dan (aka the hippie) did an amazing job!! Kudos to Dan. read more

Came here to say to celebrate my wife's birthday. We got an outdoor table so we could enjoy the view. My wife ordered a Caesar salad and the Tropical Mahi Mahi. She enjoyed everything! I ordered my usual coconut shrimp with Brussels sprouts and whipped sweet potatoes. Yummy! We topped this off with a piece of carrot cake. This cake is on another level. WOW! Service is as always -excellent. The best thing is they take reservations and you can enjoy the view of the intercostal waterway. read more

A simply amazing experience! Everything here is delicious and fresh. The RIBS!!! The ribs are the best I've ever had. The fish was fried to perfection. The rice and broccolini was flavorful. I loved the fact that they had raw clams. I haven't been able to find them anywhere down in Florida. The drinks were good. I will always return. read more

UNDERWHELMING! First time here and it is a beautiful restaurant & service was excellent but the food was very disappointing. Food lacked flavor, onions rings were hard, lobster bisque had ZERO lobster meat and soup was very salty. Shrimp had no flavor, plantains were hard, ice tea was watery, no flavor. I don't understand how a place with so much potential could not deliver the most important item, Good Food. What was good? Staff & views were amazing. read more

my wife and I have made this our favorite restaurant for going out for dinner. this place has it all from Mike the manager to Karine our favorite waitress. My wife loves the Triple Tail fish and I love the coconut shrimp and the house made coleslaw. The view is spectacular of the inter coastal water way. The interior has a huge amount of art work and sculptures. The food is always done to perfection and they treat us like royalty and they make sure that our favorite table is ready for our dinning pleasure. Mikey says try it you'll like it!!! read more

I just returned from lunch at Deep Lagoon, which had been a favorite. I will never return! I ordered the slider plate, one hamburger, one steak, and one grouper. The steak was all onions with itty-bitty pieces of charred meat. The grouper was three pieces of some kind of fish in heavy breading and fried so long that the only thing left was the crispy breading. The hamburger was drenched in dressing on the bun but was edible. I should have sent everything back, but I was a guest of someone, and she had recommended the sliders, and I did not want to embarrass her. The sliders were $18, and I think they were all leftovers. Never again! read more

Incredibly noisy and tables crowded way too close. Food unexceptional and pricey. Not a great experience.

Wow. The best food we've had in this area. Although it rained all evening, the staff, ambiance, and food made this is a 10/10 experience. Olivia at the bar made PHENOMENAL drinks (and my family is very particular!) The food was also perfect portions, the desserts were by far the biggest, hence the photo. Mike, the manager was also very kind. Overall we will be back very soon. read more

I have eaten here twice and had a great time. Love the oyster house vibe and they offer a ton of outdoor dining options. The staff is very friendly. They seem to run a lot of specials, from lunch to happy hour deals to a small plates special menu, something for everyone. Great selection of cocktails, perfect for your summer party vibe from Mai tais to pina colada's along with a solid beer and wine list. The views look out on the docks adjacent to the restaurant on the back bays. Plenty of boat traffic but no so it's a distraction just something fun to look out on the water and see passing by. They offer an incredible free dessert on your birthday - the seven layer chocolate cake was decadent heaven and greatly appreciated. Great place to celebrate any occasion. read more

Amazing food and great service. We had a great time. I certainly recommend this place.

We went for HH and were lucky to get a spot at the bar. My husband had the sliders and I had the fish tacos. They were both good but my tacos could have used a little more fish. The drinks were delicious. I tried my first Aperol Spritz and it won't be my last, thoroughly enjoyed it read more

Been in Florida for 25 years. This is one of my best. If not the best restaurant I've ever been in Bartender is a great serve is a great and most of all the manager is fantastic. Food is great. Magdalena was my server and she was amazing and personable. Definitely will go back!

We had a wonderful lunch at Deep Lagoon, and everything exceeded our expectations. We had a reservation and were seated right away on the outdoor patio with a breathtaking view of the lagoon. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the Tropical Paradise Salad with scallops and shrimp along with a cup of clam chowder, and both were excellent. What truly made our visit memorable, however, was our waitress, Karine. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and a great listener. When I asked for a piece of bread with my chowder, she suggested their crostini. They had accidentally been left behind in the kitchen, but Karine noticed and went the extra mile to bring them out without me having to ask again. It was a small gesture that showed how much she genuinely cared about her guests' experience. She also shared helpful information about the restaurant and the area that we would never have known otherwise. Her warm personality and exceptional service made us feel truly welcome. From the beautiful waterfront view to the delicious food and outstanding service, Deep Lagoon delivered a fantastic dining experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Karine, for making our visit so special! read more

A group of 5 of us had dinner reservations at Deep Lagoon on a rainy Saturday evening. We were seated outside on the covered patio. The table was a tight squeeze for 5; we had one person half way off/kind of on the corner. Majority of the group ordered from the summer specials menu because the options for the prices really couldn't be beat. I had the grouper Oscar and lobster bisque. The grouper was served over mashed potatoes and asparagus. The grouper was topped with crab meat and a hollandaise sauce. I thought the dish was very flavorful. I did find a crab claw/shell in one of my bites of food. I guess that's a sign that the meat is truly hand picked! The drinks were phenomenal and the table bread came out warm with delicious cinnamon butter. The views outside over the water were great and would've been exceptional in better weather. Our server was very personable and checked in with us throughout the duration of the meal. I'd recommend coming here to celebrate something special. read more

Overall 4 stars based on my experience even though the Yelp rating is lower. Came here for lunch on a recommendation and it was located by the Marine Max yacht broker I was visiting. They have bar, main room and outdoor seating located right at the marina. It's a perfect setting. Our server was very nice, the food was good, service was prompt and prices were fair. They specialize in seafood which is delivered fresh daily and you can order by weight. read more

I had a very enjoyable experience at Deep Lagoon. The food was outstanding and creative. While they do have the traditional seafood fare, they have some very interesting twists. The happy hour menu and the price fix give great, less expensive options. The featured cocktails are creative and give fun alternatives. The view is spectacular Lastly, our server was outstanding and did a fantastic job. The one caveat is that there are a lot of larger tables and children, so if you are looking for a romantic, quiet spot, this probably is not the place. read more

Mom wanted DEEP LAGOON for her birthday dinner. It was a dreary slow Sunday between showers (so not real busy, at 4:30). A large flat smooth clean parking lot with plenty of handicap spaces available. Elevators brought us up to the dining level where there was a deep wrap around porch for optional "outdoor" dining. Restrooms were clean and well supplied , bring your sweater/ cardigan for indoor dining (as anywhere in Florida) it wasn't unbearable, but some handle it better than others . Our waitress Casey was very informative & attentive to our requests. Every dish was delicious & savory. We started with the chips & dip, crab cakes & deviled eggs . I ordered the mahi (with mango salsa) mashed sweet potatoes & fried plantains ( )! It was not a large portion but it also wasn't small. Every bite was delicious and complimented its accompaniments. Yes, it costs a little more but it's nice to have someplace like this with good parking, ambience & amazing views , S a V o R y tastes, attentive waitstaff (great chefs behind the scenes) from pulling in hungry to leaving more than satisfied The Deep Lagoon in Osprey meets a special night out with a realistic menu & pricing , for what you're receiving in service, food , location & atmosphere. We will most definitely go back. NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY AT ALL! GREAT JOB EVERYONE! & Thank you read more

The good: our server Caitlin was one of the best we've ever had. She was amazing. The view from the patio is so nice. Can watch boats coming and going up and down the inter coastal. If you come on a boat you can use the dock with red caps first come first served. The kids menu and the kids treasure chest was a really nice touch. The not good: The level of service from the kitchen was not as good as a level of service out front . Food took a really long time. We sat down at 1145am, did not get our food until 1pm despite ordering as soon as we could. Also, the clam chowder was really salty, fries were served cold. Grouper sandwich was over cooked. read more

Bread - has a slight cinnamon flavor to it which was nice but just heads up. Great texture! Whipped butter spread and an odd cinnamon roll filling whipped spread. Clam chowder - Worth ordering but check out the pictures.....can you tell a difference between the cup and the bowl size? Ya, we couldn't either. Save the $4 and just get a cup lol Also, the pepper shaker is worth writing about. It's the super fine pepper grade but the shaker was clogged so you had to open the container to use it. But watch out if there is even a slight breeze or else the tables across the way will be wearing it! Seared ahi salad - they give you a lot of salad! Great flavor even without the dressing (which was a bit too salty). Ginger was FRESH which was a bonus! Mahi stacked salad - be warned there is a lot of blu cheese! Was told it was a great salad though. Personally I thought the Mahi was a bit dry. Staff was attentive and very friendly! Our waiter was Noah. Onion rings came out late but he comped them. Five stars plus! Overall 3.5 star place read more

Amazing Food!! Amazing Views!! Great Service!! We went here for my and my dad's birthday dinner and we were not disappointed!!! So Happy!! We made a reservation and asked for a table with a view. They came out with fireworks on our desserts!! So fun!! read more

Deep Lagoon must be a popular spot for locals because when I went on a Monday night for dinner it was packed. We had a reservation so even though it was packed we got seated right away. First impressions were this was your average Florida restaurant with some seafood on display and a lot of seafood decor. The table we sat at had a big chip in it, so that was a bit odd. For the food, we started with some calamari and oysters. The waitress recommended some different oysters since they had at least 8 kinds to choose from. We enjoyed her recommendations and got two different kinds. The calamari was good but nothing special. For my meal I got a mahi thermidor. This was okay, it didn't have a lot of flavor and there were very few and small pieces of crab. If I am being honest the best part of the mahi thermidor was the rice. My friend got the cedar plank salmon. She really enjoyed her meal and said it was good. For dessert the 4 of us split the chocolate cake. The cake was good and giant. You could easily split this with 6 people after a meal. Overall, this was just an average seafood place with very friendly staff. Nothing bad but also nothing to rave about. read more

Very disappointed. Appetizer plates that were on our table when we got there were VERY dirty, we ordered a blackened grouper sandwich and it came plain, the "crispy bourbon Brussels sprouts" were disgusting Barely cooked with balsamic glaze drizzled, no other seasoning or additions. Bourbon? NO! If the chef bothered with a bourbon glaze (which I love) he would not have ruined it by adding balsamic read more

Fantastic Seafood Feast at Deep Lagoon in Osprey, FL! We stopped into Deep Lagoon a little early on Christmas Eve, thinking brunch might be an option, but it turned out to be a seafood feast to remember! We started with the colossal shrimp appetizer--absolutely incredible! The shrimp were perfectly tender yet crisp, large, and sweet. For our main course, we indulged in The Big Chill Seafood Tower, and it was a showstopper: * A whole Maine lobster * Eight cocktail shrimp * Eight peel-and-eat shrimp * Two large stone crab claws * 4oz tuna tataki * A dozen Gulf oysters (served with horseradish cream & caviar) * Six chilled clams * Six chilled mussels Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We spent over two hours savoring the seafood, enjoying cocktails, and soaking in the laid-back festive yet upscale atmosphere. We sat at the bar, where the bartenders made the experience even better--they were fun, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. A special shoutout to Nyssa, who brought us our appetizer. She seemed surprised I remembered her name, but I told her it only took me a year to remember! Deep Lagoon, you made our Christmas Eve unforgettable. Merry Christmas --we'll definitely be back soon (maybe even before 2025)! -- I forgot to mention how delicious the avocado pico de gallo in the fishbowl that the colossal shrimp were served in was mmmmm read more

Food was very good, as always. Restaurant is always very crowded and either the staff or kitchen cannot keep up. I have been there at least seven times over 4 years and it is always the same. Very slow service, from the initial visit by the wait staff, to ordering drinks, to getting drinks, to the wait staff to come back and answer any questions, to them returning with their answers, to taking our order, to receiving bread, to receiving our food, to returning for any additional items or drinks, to bringing our check. Slow slow slow. Our server made comments several times about our order saying ridiculous. Not sure if that meant great, outstanding or if it was sarcastic when I didn't opt for her suggested upsell on a wine. Temperature in the restaurant is always on the warm side which makes the wait seem even longer We were in a back room in a booth. The table next to us was very close, people actually back their chairs right into our table, and their table had a tv suspended overhead. Not my preference of a great spot to eat, wondering when the tv will either drop on me or start up and blare in my ear. Finally after multiple years of hoping it will improve, I have finally decided to cross off my list. Very sad as the location and food is very good. read more
