It's Open!!
Selmy B.

Yes Sarasota, they are finally Open! I highly recommend you create an online rewards profile with them. The line was out the door, but I ordered my lunch sandwich online and it was ready for pick up with chips, a cookie and drink. The place is tiny inside with a couple of tables inside and a couple of tables outside. All were taken. The mini cheesesteak sandwich was delicious but tiny and seems to be the default size. The deal of the mini, with chips a drink and a cookie was $11.99! I think next time I will try a small sandwich with a drink. I don't need the chips and cookie. Yes, I'm planning my next visit.

ORDER THE FRIES

Best fries ever, if you don't order them you've made a mistake bonus points for having Miss Vickie's spicy dill chips too. I loved that there were multiple veggie choices that had protein options - not just a cold veggie sub. Tons of meat on their veggie cheesesteak. Spicy peppers do not disappoint! Felt like a New York style deli. Front cashier was very friendly. I'd go again.

Cole Turkey

First time at this sandwich shop and I ordered the Cole turkey which is turkey, cheese, Russian dressing, coleslaw and mayonnaise. The bread was cold and very doughy. The turkey was not a cold cut but was fresh but minimal meat which was same story for coleslaw. If you like an abundance of meat this shop is not for you. Basically a very doughy roll with some meat and splash of Cole slaw. Wife had the chopped Italian salad which was a better purchase for just under $9, Italian cold cuts, romaine lettuce and some arugula, BUT the salad had some large pieces of everything. If it was chopped appropriately would've been better. Just untrained help in kitchen. I probably won't come back here as not cheap, roll was not light and airy good like a Jersey Mike sub and salad wasn't half as good as chipotle. Most franchises have some short comings, this is one of them

The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The decor was utilitarian. Tables, chairs,…read morenapkins and ketchup. Set up to eat and go. But let's talk about the food, beginning with the off brand ketchup. Not Heinz. Rookie mistake. I'm from Philadelphia where the argument is always whose cheesesteaks do you prefer--Jim's or Pat's? If you're from Phila, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. My guess is that the chefs here have never been to Jim's nor Pat's to experience a real Philly cheesesteak. Although you can customize it, the cheesesteak is offered with shaved American, onions and hot peppers. Authentic Philly cheesesteaks have freshly chopped onions and GREEN peppers (not hot) with Cheese Whiz--which is how I ordered mine. They were happy to accommodate. Unfortunately, the balance of the entire sandwich was off. The onions were sparse and the green peppers tasted canned, not fresh. The whiz was not really noticeable, and it was all served on a room temperature roll--not warm, not toasted. A true South Philly cheesesteak is a hearty sandwich stuffed with meat, a healthy serving of fresh sauteed vegetables and dripping with cheese. I was served an okay steak sandwich that did not remind me of a culinary experience in South Philly. There's a reason the line for Jim's goes around the block even though there are dozens of tables and that people go to Pat's in the middle of winter to order from the outdoor walk up window. We had no trouble getting seated at one of the few tables in South Philly Cheesesteaks.
