My husband and I have lived in the area for 23 years, but this was our first time visiting Sands on Miami and it certainly won't be our last! The burger was one of the best we've ever had, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fries were lightly seasoned with truffle, giving them just the right amount of flavor, with a perfect crunch. The wings were also fantastic. The Cajun style buffalo wings had bold, flavorful spices, and the balsamic glaze was a great complement to the blue cheese wedge, rich and tangy without being overpowering. I tried the Papa's Storm cocktail, and it was dangerously delicious, smooth, well-balanced, and incredibly refreshing. Our server was friendly and attentive, always ensuring our drinks were topped off without us even needing to ask. The ambience is quaint and casual, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Most importantly, the food was very affordable, which made the experience even better. had lunch here on Saturday, Jim was our greeter, server, bartender and I believe owner, he was very nice and we had many conversations with him. We started with the chili for my wife and I had the meatballs both were tasty and great. for our meals my wife went with the quesadilla and I had the Bolognese both were hot and tasty. my dish was very large and I could not finish it. a great meal with great service for a good price. read more

Ate here last night and the meal was great! Met by a person at the door and seated promptly. Wait person got our drinks quickly and then took our order. I had the olive burger which was perfectly cooked. The fries were crisp and flavorful. Great music being played by a single guy, not so loud that we could talk at our table. the beer cheese and breadsticks are a great start. Very good cheese to say the least. Chicken tenders solid, as was a wrap my wife had. Solid beer offering between the drafts and cans. About to open a back patio which I think may be the first of its kind off of Miami Ave. Owner very personable and service was excellent. Lots of great reviews of this place. Ordered a greek salad for me and a beet salad for my companion. Both with chicken. Also an order of brushetta. Service was outstanding. Food tasted really good. The huge issue was the portions. A $17 salad was the size of a side salad with maybe 1/4 cup of small diced chicken pieces. Both salads were the same. Tasted good but $17 was outrageous and insulting. The bruchetta was $13. It had 4 baguette slices, 4 mozzarella slices and a tiny pile of tomatoes in a balsamic glaze. Delicious for sure. A bit overpriced but not nearly as much of a gouge as the salads. I will not return to Sands on Miami nor will recommend it to any friends or visiting guests. read more

Came here because we had never been so decided to order some food and have a few drinks. I ordered a chicken wrap with some fries and hubby ordered a burger and fries. I don't drink but hubby had some beer. They didn't have much on tap and they did not have a full bar. The so called "chicken wrap" I ordered barely had any chicken but it did have lots of "filler" stuff like shaved carrot pieces with corn and other things. Unfortunately, just flavorless and unappealing. My husband's burger wasn't anything out of the ordinary and frankly, he said he could have made it at home. Nice people, good service, just a less than mediocre menu with flavorless food. I really wish it had something to talk about but honestly even the ambiance felt cafeteria-ish. With all the growth, that Florida and Venice has had in the past few years, you would think they would start upping their game in the restaurant area. It really needs to start attracting restaurants that cater to the more sophisticated pallets instead of fast food joints and so called "restaurants" that serve carnival like food. read more
