First time at this nice little haunt. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was very good, easily customizable and prepared quickly. It's a pretty small place, but that's what makes it comfortable and let's the staff be attentive to everyone's needs. I would recrecommend it to anyone and plan on stopping in again soon. read more

I'm trying to eat healthier and this restaurant was just the ticket. Even though I went in July, I absolutely adore Italian wedding soup and Mad Salads didn't disappoint. The employee working at the place gave me a sample and I was sold! The next time I'm in Venice, Florida, I'm definitely going back to try one of their salads. I talked to some regulars while I was there and I received some excellent recommendations. There's certainly something for everyone at Mad Salads. read more

Acorn squash - Good! Flavorful and thick. Chicken poblano soup - WOW! FIVE STARS PLUS! It's a sad state of affairs that homemade soups are becoming more of a thing of the past. Also thick, full of flavors with lots of complex layers and a slight kick that creates a great finish. Grilled chicken salad - WOW! OK. This is my new favorite restaurant! Soooooo good! Thick slices of chicken (not that skinny gmo crap) with AMAZING sesame ginger dressing. Sante Fe chicken salad - Perfect! Tasty, ideal amount, and tasty dressing (I ordered the balsamic and raspberry vinegarette mix) Black and white cookie - decent for sure. "Imported" from NY. (The white side is more tasty than the black interestingly enough). Overall I wouldn't order it again but don't have regrets with munching down on it either. Overall I'd give this place a 4.5+ rating! Friendly staff, great local option at the end of our road with what taste like homemade soups. First visit here after a movie (next door). Super cute and clean local restaurant offering fresh, made-to-order salads & sandwiches. The staff member was welcoming and informative. I ate the classic Caesar wrap and added tuna. Delish! For dessert I shared a 'just made this morning' homemade canolli. Yum! Best ever! Fun at the dog park & then off to lunch at Mad Salads. The salad making took longer than I expected. Salad was good, small lady size pieces. They forgot the avacado,so I was glad I chose to eat outside. Went back in & was given the missing avacado. They have done good vegan options for protein also. had lunch here on Saturday, they have wraps and salads, you can order off the menu or create your own. I went with the BBQ chicken one, that came with all the normals in a salad along with taco chips, corn and beans. As I told the two girls working there, it was the most unique and good salad I have every had. my wife had the salad that came with all the normal ingredients and chicken salad on top of it. my wife enjoyed her salad although she thoughts there were too many shredded carrots on it. read more

My sister and I enjoyed lunch at Mad Salads yesterday. The place is cute and quaint and people are so nice. Their menu consists of a big variety of salads (with or without a protein) and fresh wraps. The Cobb salads were delicious and huge! Everything is made to order fresh and the service was excellent. My sister also ordered a banana/strawberry smoothie and it was yummy! I recommend this place - inexpensive for a great meal, and a terrific opportunity to support a local family business. Fantastic quick, healthy food option. We drove in from Port Charlotte as there aren't many healthy options there. Hubby and I each had a salad with chicken. You can customize your salad or wrap and get your dressing on the side if you choose. They also have desserts but I can't tell you how they tasted. You can get bottled soda or water. We found out about Mad Salads from a friend, and I'm glad we finally tried it. The store is very clean, had a good selection of salads, wraps, and sides, and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the Cobb and the Asian Chicken salads. Both were very fresh, well balanced with protein and the "extras", and they tasted great. Exactly what we were looking for. Tried Mad Salads for the first time today and was very impressed. The Santa Fe chicken wrap was fresh and flavorful. The ranch dressing is homemade which I loved. I found an amazing place to eat healthier. I'm so excited to write this review. My husband and I stopped by to have lunch. I had the Granny Smith wrap and he had the Venice Cobb. It tasted so fresh and delicious. They have a good variety of salads and offer it as a salad or wrap. They also have build your own. I personally will be coming back.
