I guess the name has changed but my guess is the same owners operate this spot. Wife and I stopped in for a quick meal on our way to a Christmas show. The restaurant is located in the mall area at Jacaranda. It is spacious with typical booth and table settings, It is a quiet spot and it seems to us that the owners do the waiting service as well as the food preparation. We both ordered sandwiches, I ordered Roasr beef with peppers, onions and provolone cheese and wife ordered a burger along with Old Bay homemade chips. Both orders were absolutely delicious and hit the spot, give this spot a try. read more

We ordered a crab cake sandwich that the menu described as 'a generous portion'. When the item came to our table it was a small portion, much smaller than the bun. Upon observation we asked if we could order a hamburger instead as I was very hungry. We were told that we would have to pay for the crab cake sandwich even if it was not eaten at all, and pay for the hamburger as well. The other menu items we ate were the chicken salad croissant and chicken pesto sandwich, which were marginally okay. We were very disappointed and will not return. No ambiance at all. read more

Gravy fan I ventured to Venice for lunch. My restaurant of choice for today's food consumption was the Snowbirds Grille, mainly because they offer Poutine Fries. They also sport some very good reviews on Yelp. Located in that big shopping area at US41 and Jacaranda Blvd, it was a spot I was familiar with. For all the restaurants I walk in, I'm seldom told "I'm glad you're here". What a nice thing to hear. I had already looked over their website and knew I wanted their Bacon Bleu Burger with a side of Poutine Fries. That it was ready in under 8 minutes was good with me. After trying to snap a decent photo I dove in, not literally, to the dish of fries, cheese curds, and brown gravy. Mmmm. That was so very good, like I was back visiting Toronto. The burger was fine, I may have accidentally caused it to be a little overcooked when I requested medium without being asked. They may have errored on the side of caution and cooked it a little longer than usual, resulting in it being just a little dry. More cheese would have made it better too. I liked the sweetness of their caramelized onion jam. All in all it was a very good lunch. read more

Limited menu, but really good food, prepared fresh. We had steak tacos, and a grouper sandwich. The tacos were large and brimming with steak. The grouper sandwich was really good, with just the right portion of grilled grouper. And both were delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant is bright ,airy, and clean! A nice place to try for lunch, or a quick dinner. Oh, I forgot the chowder! If you're a fan of New England style clam chowder, this is one of the better ones you will find locally! 7th visit and review. Understand there are new owners. Went for Monday burgers ($1 off). Asked for med-rare, got medium. Must be a different cook as pickles on dill burger were not fried. French fries are fantastic. The front-of-the house lady is great, and recognized us as repeat customers. Think John, a server, is her son. He gets a B grade, needing more experience. In November 2023 the new owner who came from Edmonton Alberta took over this restaurant and he is making it!!! We ordered the blackened grouper platter and split it. It was cooked to perfection and came with two sides. We got a salad and watermelon. The salad was full of mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, croutons, and cheese. The watermelon was fresh and delicious. However, the star of the show was the grouper...it was moist and perfectly seasoned. The server was right with us asking us for our drink order. I was asked if I wanted my upcharged side of clam chowder before or with my wrap. I opted for before and it was brought out right away with a package of oyster crackers. There were nice sized clam pieces in this soup and the potatoes held their shape. Could use more celery...I love celery. My wrap wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was decent and filling. I think the veg could be chopped a little finer and it could've used a little mayo mixed in right before serving, but it really hit the spot. And the portion size was perfect. This is our second time coming to the snowbird grill in four months. Both times the burgers were well done. This time I ordered grouper tacos. I sent them back twice due to them being raw on one end of the filet. There were ten of us ladies who mainly ordered burgers and Philly steaks. All complained the burgers and Philly Steaks were over cooked. We won't be back for the food. The one waiter worked very hard and gave us excellent service. read more

Well..... I have been there before and the food has always been good and the place has always been clean. It has been since last year and this time I was shocked. The restaurant was filthy. I am posting this because I was shocked! The hood system definitely needs work because there is a dirty sticky film on everything. The menus,doors and booth seats were grimy. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and when it was served I noticed black floating pieces in the bottom of my glass. The server told me it was tea leaves. I fished them out and wiped them on my napkin. I own a restaurant so I know the difference. It is mold from the nozzles on the dispenser. This happens when the nozzles are not cleaned regularly. I am wondering if this restaurant has new owners? Unfortunately,I will not be back. My husband and I were completely exhausted the day we came in otherwise I would have left. read more

What a disappointment! We like to support local businesses, but this is a pass. The decor is cold, sparse and uninviting. I had the fried clam platter, $13.99 with coleslaw and fries. The fried clams had 2 gross blobs of batter in the basket to fill in the small quantity. The coleslaw was tasteless, absolutely tasteless. They gave a large serving of coleslaw to fill up the plate making up for the lack of protein. The fries were good. My husband had the fried cod plater, $15.99. It came with one small piece of cod that looked and tasted like it was laying around and refried to be served. He had fries and slaw as well. No one checked with us after the food was served. Had lunch here on Monday. Nice quiet place, very clean. The waiter (not sure if part of ownership) was great. had several good conversations with him. We started with clam chowder and chili. I had the chowder, it was fully stocked and delicious, my wife had the chili and loved it. Monday is burger day special so we both went with burgers. Mine was the poutine burger and my wife had a cheese burger. Both were served hot, mine was great, the gravy on the burger and fries was wonderful. my side was homemade chips which were very tasty. This is a great little hidden gem right next to Publix and a few doors down from Planet Fitness. We stumbled across it while getting something from GNC after our workout. The chili is fantastic. I mean seriously, even if you're just in the snacking mood, you should try the chili here. It's all beef and amazing flavor. The crab cake is just like you would get in Maryland. I give it an 8.5 out of 10 easily. The chicken salad wrap is great and served with a great presentation cut at an angle and served on a rack open faced. Perfectly balanced in moisture with lots of flavor. I had an opportunity to try it with a strawberry from my girlfriends salad and it was out of this world. The chicken salad had berries and a berry vinaigrette. Such a great salad and fresh ingredients too. This is definitely a place I would recommend and I will be back to try more on the menu. read more

went to Snowbirds on a Sunday afternoon, ordered the fish and chips and a philly cheese steak. The only thing I can say that was remotely positive was the fries were good. We spent 30 dollars for one very small piece of fish and the sorriest philly cheese steak I've ever had. Barely any meat and NO Cheese on a stale roll. Even the cole slaw was dry.
