I wanted to update my review to remind everyone that the soups here are delicious! And all are homemade!! My whole crowd loves the lobster bisque! It as good as a higher-end restaurant! Kind of confused at the ratings for this restaurant. We came in for breakfast and left very underwhelmed. The service was decent with the exception of the wrong price charged. The crab Benedict wasn't exactly cheap, but it was made with imitation crab which is very misleading. It was not good. To everyone saying that they don't get how they can charge so little for so much crab, here's the answer. It's not real crab. In fact, imitation crab costs about the same as a hot dog. So you're paying fresh crab prices for essentially a hot dog with your Benedict. And the worst part is that it doesn't even come with a side. You had to order a side dish of potatoes if you wanted a side. The coconut crusted French toast was a little better, but we ordered one slice and was charged for 2. We honestly just wanted to get out of there so we paid and just left. Safe to say we probably won't be returning. read more

The food is pretty darn good. I used to cry too at least twice a week, but with the summer hours, it is hard to get there in time to eat and relax. They are also, very kind and understanding. Once, my credit card would not work and I was quite distraught. The lady that was the waitress (I forgot her name), told me not to worry about it and go on and leave. Yelp says brunch but this place does NOT have mimosas and shouldn't be considered a "brunch" spot without that. I asked the server when we sat down if they had mimosas and she kind of huffed/rudely chuckled and said no. She was fine the rest of the visit but a little rude to start with that comment. They have beer/wine, moscato, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and a red selection, maybe Cab? The food was bland diner food, nothing to write home about. The crab omelet I had was sprinkled with paprika on top but I don't think had salt or pepper in it. The biscuit was ok but maybe frozen, didn't seem fresh made. This location had maybe 12-15 tables inside and I think a table or two outside. Everyone at my table liked there's enough and nothing needed to be sent back but I probably wouldn't try again. I've lived in Englewood for 10 years and finally discovered Winks! We had company visiting and they wanted scallops and shrimp. We got the captain's platter and it was delicious! Shanna was our very sweet and friendly waitress. She explained the specials etc. My husband said it was the best fried shrimp he's had in a very long time. The blackened shrimp and fish were excellent. Perfect flavor...Such a nice little place. We cleaned our plates! Too full for desert. Great prices. We will definitely be back soon! read more

Possibly the best chicken I have had. Strongly recommend you give this dish a try. My wife had the salmon, it was also excellent. SERVICE: Roxann was very attentive and personal. Was very suggestive and helpful. Spot on with everything. CLEANLINESS: The restaurant was older but clean. The owner has many interesting historical pictures and facts on the wall. Went there Monday, husband had the prime rib, medium rare. Done perfectly and great taste. Baked potato and green beans done perfectly. I had the breasted chicken and it was very tasty and juicy. Great little hole in the wall, mom and pop place. Went there with family while visiting for breakfast and the waitress we had was awesome. She was sweet and always kept our yummy coffee full. I had the Winks breakfast sandwich which I put eggs over hard, American cheese and sausage on a English muffin. So good! I probably could've eaten 1-2 more of them, as it didn't fill me up, but they have a large side menu you can order in addition to their selection. I got a side of bacon and it was perfect! My husband got the french toast which I tried, and it was also very good. If you are adventurous and like small town American hole in the wall restaurants, this place is for you. I was not impressed. We are here on vacation and trying to find a place for crab legs. I googled and found this place. It had a 4.9 star rating so even though I had my doubts, looking at the pics, we tried it. My kids were mad bc they do not have crab legs. Very small place. My family said their food was ok but we all just had fried food. My husband liked the fried cod ok. But I thought the coleslaw and coconut shrimp tasted not fresh. Waitress was nice but we waited over an hour for our meal to be served. 2 food was lukewarm or cold. Had to actually flag her down to get her attention. Told her our food was not hot. We watched the cook put it on the shelf but she never went and got it. Another person brought it to our table. 3 meal not as described. Ordered there famous crab Benedict. Our server was Chary and she was quite entertaining! Good pricing so reasonable for quality and quantity of the food. We are snow birds here Oct to Apr and have done Wink's for Breakfast.. Greek Omelet and Crab Omelet always great! But we find ourselves here in June and thought we would give it a try for their Dinner Scallop Special and we were NOT disappointed. Got lazy and decided on take out but when I walked in it was not the Wink's I knew for breakfast... music playing and rope lighting did not go unnoticed...very nice. The food was great... scallops cooked nicely.... not overdone and seasoned perfectly... a side of coleslaw and sliced tomatoes (which were great and generally grow our own)... could not resist the Key Lime Pie to top it off...A great value, friendly service and great food.... do yourself a favor and check them out! read more
