We had a late lunch there today and my husband had the wings and they were absolutely fantastic! He also ordered a side of onion rings that were OK, but they were not hot . We love the to go cups with the lids with the lighthouse symbol on it. Our waitress was absolute fantastic. I don't know her name, but she has auburn hair with beautiful curls. She was absolutely fantastic. The place seem very clean. We got seated immediately. We got our food quick and it was just a wonderful atmosphere. but, there was only one drawback. I had the smash burger and fries. The fries were fantastic, but the hamburger would have been wonderful except it was undercooked. It looked done on the outside, but on the inside, it was soft mushy some pink, some dark pink in parts of it. I got a mouthful of it taste like raw hamburger meat. i'm not the one that sends food back. I just had my fries and I had a couple bites of the hamburger and let it go. My waitress was wonderful and asked how everything was and we did tell her that it was undercooked and she told us, I'll let them know. Being a great waitress. They are supposed to let the cook or the manager know if something is not being cooked properly. So I told her I didn't want anything in return, but she did take the hamburger back. I have a bad feeling that she was chastised for that because when she came back out, she had glasses on and she didn't look at me. We paid our bill and left, but my husband and I both got the bad feeling that she got chastised for letting them know that that burger was undercooked. Normally, you don't have to tell someone to cook the burger done because the last thing you want is raw ground beef in your mouth. i'm hoping it was just a fluke and I hope she didn't get in trouble because she was a wonderful waitress, and I would go back and just make sure next time I tell them make sure my burger was cooked all the way through.. we had fish all day and it was wonderful sitting up there in a beautiful atmosphere!! read more

Gluten Free (Celiac): Had a great experience! Nothing is marked on the menu but my waitress was good with running to the kitchen to check on items. I had the baby back ribs, they were so tender. Sides: the fries used to be gluten free but are now fried in a shared fryer. Since I didn't feel comfortable eating any of the sides I asked if I could have a caesar salad instead (no croutons). They do not offer side salads (should!) but since my order came with 2 sides she just charged me $4 for the originally $16 salad in substitute for the two $5 sides included in my order. The atmosphere was wonderful. Dick and Kammy played live music and the sunset on the deck was beautiful! Would definitely come back to try the gluten free chocolate torte :) read more

$26 for a grouper Reuben? Definitely not worth it. Draft prices are on the higher side too. Our waitress was great and we enjoyed the live music for the evening. Came in on a Saturday evening, so we did have to wait but the outside bar and deck space was great to watch the sunset. There is a parking lot, with plenty of parking spaces. read more

Location right on Lemon Bay is fabulous. Hadn't been at this restaurant for quite awhile due to hurricane damages. They have cleaned up nicely . New hurricane blinds, great bathrooms and there is an outside deck bar. Didn't remember that. All the TV's were on sports..... & good music was playing in the background. Today was a very windy day and with the hurricane blinds down, the eating area was very comfortable. Staff is just a friendly as we remember and pretty darn quick too !! We sat at the bar.... April greeted us and took our drink order rather quickly. We then ordered the Smoked wings. Delicious Smokey flavor and tender. JUST as we remembered. Not sure why we haven't been here sooner since it's so close to our FL house..... It's a great location right on the water. You can sit on the deck at the restaurant, or they have another outside deck with a bar only. Either way, you're on the water and have a great view of the sunset. There is live music on the weekends. It was slightly busy so after dinner we moved to the Adirondack chairs just outside the deck so we could continue to listen to the music. Our server, Tyler, was great! He kept our tab open and even served us at the adirondack chairs. Food... it was just ok. We had the pretzel bites which were good. They give you a stone ground mustard and a queso cheese. We didn't like the cheese at all. Usually, pretzels are served with a type of beer cheese. That would have made it better. We also ordered the BBQ trio. Probably a bad idea when you're in FL near the water. The plate included wings - very good! Ribs - also very good. Brisket - it was ok but too dry. Was better with extra BBQ sauce. The sausage - I didn't care of it at all. To me it had a chemical taste. We'd go back for drinks and view for sure. Food... maybe if we tried something else. read more

The views of the water are fantastic! There is lots of outdoor seating to enjoy these views. There was live music which was very good. We enjoyed margaritas at the bar and then moved to the main dining area. I had a burger which was very tasty. Our service was very efficient and friendly at both the bar and dining. First time at the lighthouse. We were doing some shopping near by and decided lunch was in order. Located right next to the Stump Pass Marina. Food was good, my wife really enjoyed the Grouper tacos and the chowder was rich and delicious. We always pass this restaurant when returning from stump pass by boat but the dock space is usually always full. Definitely would want to check out in the evening during sunset hours. read more

The food was ok'ish- the calamari had some frightful flour based coating - tasted like cheap chips and way too sweet. But the ambiance and the view is amazing - AND the place is dog friendly. Located right on the water with great views of the marina and the island. Stopped for lunch on a cool afternoon. They had plenty of indoor heat lamps which was nice. Had 1/2 pound of peel and eat shrimp. Shrimp were good size. Wish they would have had a little more seasoning but were solid. Grouper tacos and fries as my main course. Fish was tender and had good flavor. Had a rum runner as my beverage and it was great. Staff were friendly. Overall great experience. Will definitely try again when in the area. read more

We've been to this establishment many times. This time is by far the worst ever. I had 2 small pieces of grouper in each of my grouper tacos ( the coconuts rice was fantastic) that I ordered. My husband's coconuts shrimp were over done, the outside was hard, the shrimp inside was beyond dry. The waitress assured him that she'd make another order and it would be better. The outside was still hard, the shrimp at least wasn't dryer the bone dust. He wanted to order something else she assured him it would be better. It wasn't. He ate what was given to him but he really wasn't pleased. Our nephews grouper bites exterior were hard ( oil bad- needed to be changed. I've been a cook in multiple places. They need to CHANGE THEIR OIL! Wish I'd ordered a smash burger. Everyone in our group (14) that ordered it was really good. Next time, if we do come back; I will NOT order seafood. If you go, if you order a fried seafood dish, ask the waitress to ask the cook when was the last time they changed their oil. Otherwise, go NO seafood. So sorry for this review. It's still being remodeled since the hurricane, but the views are really pretty and the way the wind blows through there is so relaxing... their menu is very simple but really delicious. So far, I have tried the roast brisket sandwich and the grouper sandwich, the mac & cheese, the pretzel bites, the glazed carrots, really good omg ! and the smoked fish dip, really good, but really tiny portion for what you get and you hardly get any stuff that you can use to dip in the dip , a few corn chips, like two pieces of celery and like two carrots but the dip itself is really yummy! Service is okay. Sorta feels like service is severely lacking around Englewood in general... so it's never much to comment on anywhere. I'll go here anytime . read more

I arrived to what looked like a full street parking but found a spot right near the door. I was seated immediately. I sat near the water and the breeze was great. My waitress Fay was fantastic. I had the smoked prime rib with Coconut rice and green beans. The meal was so good. I enjoyed all of it. The coconut rice had more flavor than I've ever had. Dolphins and Pelicans were there. Brisket was a little dry, but everything else was so delicious that I wasn't even interested in the brisket. The sausage was an absolute must try. Ribs were great. Chicken was delicious. Overall, staff was nice and got seated quickly despite going on a busy night. Had time to grab a drink at the end of the dock around sunset before we ate. Great live music playing classic hits. We stopped by after the beach for a drink at the lighthouse end to sit and enjoy the water some more. I went with my 2 friends -- we each got a Pina Colada (well, one of my friends tried a frozen margarita, but it was awful, so switched to a pina colada). Let's just say, not the best either. They pulled it out of the mixer thing, and just poured what I think was the rum, on top. Didn't mix it, didn't garnish it, nothing. It wasn't even that good. $13 each. The two girls at the bar were slow and seemed to have an issue with us each wanting to pay our own bill. They kept trying to lump us together. Now one of my girlfriends just checked her credit card and she was double-charged after all. That was the final straw and why I'm writing this review. DO BETTER! Their customer service was horrible. I've been there before, and this was by far the worst experience for what was supposed to be an enjoyable quick drink. read more

The guy at the front hostess stand was very rude. Acted like we shouldn't even be there when we arrived. No hello. No smile. No sense of politeness. We were obviously inconveniencing him while he leaned on the counter counting money. He leaned over to the server standing there and whispered something to her as she stared at my 7-year-old daughter, my friend and myself with no friendliness on her face at all. 5 minutes later we were sat by someone. The food was very good. Our waitress Beka was very nice. As we were finishing our food, there was a large table of staff about 25 feet away. They were young, very loud and have very inappropriate conversations that I was surprised to be hearing. At one point a very obnoxious young male started making concerning noises to the point I wanted to ask if he was ok or if he just had mental problems. Either way, it was becoming very disturbing. I hope that young male gets the help he needs. Considering we were visiting and drove an hour to this place; I was sadly disappointed in the staff's behavior. Do better, please. read more

The service is very good, and the atmosphere is wonderful, but the food is below par. A large part of their menu is deep-fried and they definitely do not change the oil. The fish and chips, the coconut shrimp, and they jumbo shrimp are just like you to expect if you bought it at Walmart and fix it at home. Definitely skip the french fries. After four PM, they do have baked potatoes. Try that. The burgers are OK. Give it a try, just to experience the afternoon in a marina. Before Hurricane Ian, this was the place to go. Reasonable prices. Great menu and drink selection. After opening after repairs, the menu was changed, portion sizes became smaller, drinks were served in smaller plastic cups, and prices were raised substantially.
